Prince Harry wants to marry Cressida Bonas because she’s ‘The Anti-Kate’?

cressy1

Everyone keeps saying that Prince Harry really wants to marry Cressida Bonas. Sources claim that Harry thinks she’s “the one” and sources also say that Cressida is really worried that she’s not “the one”. As in, she’s worried that Harry is just being too demonstrative and pushing the relationship too fast. In Touch Weekly had an interesting take in their current issue:

Insiders say Harry plans to propose to Cressida, 24, any day now. But while he hopes she’ll warm to the spotlight, his loved ones – including Kate Middleton – aren’t so sure Cressida can handle royal life.

“Kate worries she will freak out because of all the global attention and dump him,” says a source close to the family. “Kate and everyone else in the royal family want to make sure he won’t get hurt.”

“Cressida is still young, and she has found Harry’s keenness for her a bit overwhelming,” says the insider. “And Cressida isn’t hugely trustful of long-term commitment. Her parents have six marriages between them.”

But… “Harry wants a wife who’s as fun-loving as he is,” adding that as much as adores Kate, Harry sees Cressida as The Anti-Kate. “He loves that Cressida is a free spirit, even if it means she’s hard to pin down.”

Which is why Harry is determined to make it work. “He’s been conscious of not scaring Cressida off… but he’s very charming – he’ll get what he wants.”

[From In Touch Weekly, print edition]

I think some of you will shade this because it’s In Touch, but I think there’s probably some truth to their take on Cressy and Harry’s dynamic at this point. I also think Harry wants to marry “The Anti-Kate”. He doesn’t want prim. He doesn’t want a tight-ass. He doesn’t want someone who has (or would) waity around for nine years just to get the ring. And I think Kate’s wariness of Cressida is about a lot more than Kate’s “fear” that Cressida will break Harry’s heart. I think Kate worries that Cressida is way more aristocratic, that Cressida has an easy time with everything because of her old-money connections, and that Cressida might take away some of the attention that Kate gets. Plus, I think Kate is just worried about how she’ll size up in a side-by-side comparison.

Meanwhile, The Mail reports that Kate and William have extended an invitation to Cressida for Prince George’s christening on Wednesday. Just so we’re clear, Cressida got an invitation, as did Pippa Middleton and her boyfriend and James Middleton (and his girlfriend Donna Air too), but none of William’s aunts and uncles got an invite. Interesting. Apparently, Cressida is “very, very nervous, about everything, but Prince Harry is being very protective of her and wants her there.”

    Hahahaha yeahno, I can’t see Harry going for someone like Kate, he strikes me as the type who prefers his women a bit more…earthy (to put it nicely).

    That said, it’s not like he and Cressida are a brand new couple, they’ve been off and on for a while now. I wouldn’t be surprised if he does pop the question. There must be some pressure on him to settle down too.

    • bettyrose says:

      If she were five years older … but she’s so young and her sister married into the ultimate party family, right? The Bransons? So the royal life must seem pretty stiffling, even with the awesomeness that is Harry. Still, they’re both children of divorce so it’s not like that’s out of the question if the marriage doesn’t work out.

  2. A says:

    She doesn’t have a proper job either (as far as I can tell, I’m not paying that much attention to her). How is doing nothing and partying better than doing nothing and waitying?

    • Tapioca says:

      Well, exactly – both have been brought up from birth to marry a wealthy man and do sweet FA in the meantime. The only difference I can see is that one’s blonde and the other’s a brunette!

      • A says:

        I really don’t get it, she’s exactly like Kate except with more pretentions. Sure she’s old money but she’s still a commoner. They’re both nobodies in terms of royalty. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but it’s odd that she’s being touted as SO aristocratic.

        Well, maybe that’s my secret wish for the revival of royal-royal weddings speaking. *shrugs*

      • Spooks says:

        She’s exactly like Kate, only uglier and more posh. I hate that some act like she’s better just because of her background.

        And she’s a dancer, not a doctor, or a lawyer or something more real.

      • bluhare says:

        Sorry, while Cressida may not have the looks of her sister (the one William wanted), she’s far from ugly. And there’s nothing wrong with being a dancer. My mother danced.

        That being said, I don’t think she’s all that either. And I don’t like the aristocrat vs. common comparisons between her and Kate. Compare them on their assets (or lack thereof) rather than something neither one can help.

        If Kate’s worried, it’s probably got much more to do with William’s access to her sister or, in my opinion, that she’ll be widely accepted within the RF. Despite all the palace produced PR to the contrary I’m thinking that’s not the case with Kate.

      • Suze says:

        I don’t find her ugly. For the record, I don’t think Kate is remotely ugly, either.

        She may check off all the boxes for Harry: fun, blonde, long-legged, energetic. Some dynamo with a high powered education and a career would probably make him a bit uncomfortable and would be less likely to want to drop her career for a life of appearances at shopping malls and museum wing dedications.

        That said, I’m not sure Cressida wants all that either. A marriage like her sister has sounds much more her thing.

        I guess we’ll see.

    • m says:

      She just graduated from school in June. If she is still unemployed by this time next year, sure be critical, but it takes some people more than a few months to get going. Give her a break.

      • A says:

        Hey I admitted I know nothing about her! Thanks for the correction, I’ll check back in a couple of years (if she’s still around in the gossip). I only thought she did nothing since I saw her described as an “aspiring model/actress” which really means career socialite as we all know.

      • Sabrine says:

        I doubt any of this is fact, just a lot of assumptions. What’s the rush to the alter? They could wait a couple of years. I doubt either of them are ready for a lifelong commitment. She is more attractive than Kate certainly, a little above average; however, with her makeup and hair done by professionals, she could amp it up a bit.

    • LAK says:

      She’s just graduated. Let’s see where she is in a year. Kate didn’t become waity until 2 yrs post graduate waitying career of partying, vacationing and no jobs.

      With regards lineages, Cressida is the grand daughter of an Earl. That is on a par with the Fellowes or McCorquodales Kids AKA Diana’s sisters’ kids as their fathers don’t have titles.

      • T.C. says:

        +1

        Girl just graduated with a proper degree in Dance. She’s not waiting for a Prince to make her life complete. She might just reject the royal family. The anti-Kate.

      • Meredith says:

        @ T.C. :
        Kate also has a degree – in art history or something like that. But it is a degree from a respected university.

      • LAK says:

        Meredith: Cressida has 2 degrees. Leeds and Trinity Laban. Leeds is a Russell group university as is St Andrew’s and Trinity Laban is one of the best dance schools for contemporary dance in the UK.

    • solidgolddancer says:

      @spooks
      Excuse me but I am a professional dancer and I take great offense to that comment:
      “And she’s a dancer, not a doctor, or a lawyer or something more real.”
      If you ONLY knew what we go through each day mentally and physically you would be on your knees asking for forgiveness.
      Rude….

  3. Kiddo says:

    Uh-oh, Fergie 2.0.

    • genevieve says:

      Exactly my thought.

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

        Me, too. I don’t know if she could handle it.

      • Anonny says:

        Mine too.

        (Although Fergie and Andrew seem to enjoy a healthy post-divorce relationship.)

      • Thinker says:

        It was my understanding that Fergie & Andrew actually live together, as something like husband and wife, but because of their divorce and the infidelities, the Queen and Charles do not want Fergie brought back into the Royal fold.

      • LadySlippers says:

        @ Thinker

        Apparently it only the Duke of Edinburgh that objects. HM and (to the best of my knowledge) the Prince of Wales honestly still like the Duchess of York. So the feeling is, once the DoE passes, the Duke & Duchess may remarry. We’ll see.

    • Kate says:

      Kiddo, that’s exactly what I was thinking

      Also if she is the one, the press will pit both her and Kate against each other.

  4. Frida_K says:

    IDK…I was kind of a Chelsey fan. She seemed a lot more down-to-earth and fun. This one looks to have a bit of incipient neurasthenia in her bones.

    Ah well. No skin off my back when all is said and done.

    😉

    • lana86 says:

      yeah, how is Chelsey doing, i wonder?) She is way more interesting than the rest of them. I want some Chelsey news)

      • LadySlippers says:

        Last I heard, Chelsy was working in Turkey for her law firm.

      • jelly says:

        I think Chelsy Davy was (and will always remain) the Anti-Kate. No waiting for the ring. Open rejection of the ring. Of the expectation. The whole applecart. Seemed like Harry & the royal grandkids were the only thing she liked about that situation.

      • Suze says:

        Jelly – I agree with you. If anyone was the anti-Kate it was Chelsy. Loved Harry, hated the life, walked away from the possibility of it (from all accounts, anyway).

  5. DanaG says:

    IF Cressida isn’t sure she shouldn’t say yes if Harry does ask. It’s a huge job and it’s not all fun and games. There will be a lot of work falling on their shoulders and Cressida has never worked at anything a day in her life. I doubt Kate is too worried about the aristacrat side of things after all Diana was a blueblood and she couldn’t cope. Cressida is a party girl nowhere near Princess material. They have been off way more then on and that is never a good sign in a relationship. I think it’s the press pushing this whole wedding thing I don’t think Harry is really as serious he remember what happened with his mother he would want a girl who is 100 per cent sure.

    • aquarius64 says:

      I agree. Diana had the pedigree and royal connections and we know how her marriage ended. At Kate put in the time to get use to royal life. Cressida hasn’t been with Harry that long. Give it time or stories are going to start this is a shotgun wedding.

    • Hautie says:

      “I doubt Kate is too worried about the aristacrat side of things after all Diana was a blueblood and she couldn’t cope….”
      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      Exactly.
      Diana came from a better aristocrat line than Charles. Lived with a title… as “Lady Diana”. And got eaten alive by that bunch.
      And I am still not convinced that there is anything to this allege couple. But the British media is determine to make it happen. Even if they have to lie about it.
    • T.C. says:
      A lot of work on her shoulders? Like showing up to a charity event for an hour? This isn’t hard work, Kate is just lazy. Cressida is a young girl who just finished University. What type of work was she supposed to be doing while at school?
    • Suze says:
      Diana had a terrible marriage but she actually coped quite wonderfully with the job of being a royal itself.
      • LadySlippers says:
        Agreed. It was her marriage that caused a lot of her lack of coping. If Diana had a stronger marriage (what she needed) I think it would have eliminated a great many of her challenges.
  6. Renee says:
    I am surprised, this one is actually attractive. Usually the women who are romantically attached to the men in the British royal family are um, plain at best and then the press does their version of the emperor’s new clothes falling over themselves to proclaim how gorgeous they are. With Cressida it’s not too much of a stretch…I mean she looks alright in the photos here but perhaps she is just photogenic.
    • Bubbles says:
      Are you kiddig me?
      She’s very very plain, and that’s generous.
      • bluhare says:
        She’s got one of those faces that can go both ways I think. She can look really attractive, and then really not.
        Thing is, if she’s as bohemian as is being reported, I would think Royal life would be the absolute last thing she’d want. Talk about anti-bohemian.
      • Liberty says:
        @bluhare – exactly my thoughts.
      • Suze says:
        I think she’s actually quite pretty and photographs very well.
        I agree with Bluhare that it sounds like royal life would be a very odd choice for her, though. She doesn’t seem like the type of woman who would willingly sign up for a lifetime of cutting ribbons at hospital wing openings.
        Say what you will about Kate – and I do – she will do whatever is asked of her. I think she really wanted the life.
      • Tulip Garden says:
        I don’t find her particularly attractive. I mean she is just very average to me. Also when described as “bohemian”, I sometimes think that the accompanying photos look more between “unkempt” and “hot mess”!
      • lisa says:
        this is so mean – but i hate her face. it’s the very definition of insipid.
    • T.C. says:
      Agree she is really pretty.
      • Belle says:
        I think she is pretty as well… and the photos we see of her (other than a magazine cover), I’m guessing are not photo shopped like all of Kate’s are.
  7. Tara says:
    well at least no one is touting that Will is pining for Isabella story. it is rubbish. kate is not too keen on Cressida for several reasons but not exactly that one.
  8. Kit says:
    On the cover she’s like a cross between Sienna Miller and Mischa Barton, then in the other one looks a lot like Avril Lavigne. Pretty girl.
  9. freya says:
    Wow, the press is really pushing this. I wouldn’t be surprised if they break up soon, just to stop the media speculation. If she’s not sure now, that pressure sure wouldn’t help.
    I don’t find it weird that William’s aunts and uncles haven’t been invited. It was announced as a small, private christening, wasn’t it? With only direct family and the godparents? To me, that would imply only (grand)parents and siblings with their SO’s. But maybe that’s just me *shrugs*
  10. Cazzee says:
    Maybe Harry wants some pretty babies…even if he suspects it won’t last.
    Then the next time around he can go for companionship, stability, and shared interests. A long and happy marriage.
    You know, like his Dad.
  11. Talie says:
    Aristocratic girls may seem that they’re cut out for this life, but I think Kate proves it takes a girl who hustles to really work with The Firm well.
  12. TG says:
    Everyone is saying Cressida is pretty. I disagree. The Tattler photo is nice and that is only because she looks like Sienna Miller in that photo. Cressida looks old and fragile to me like she won’t she well. I don’t believe for a second that this girl who has been brought up to marry a wealthy well-connected man is quivering in feat they Harry wants to marry her. If her folks are putting this out there than she is playing a long game just like Waity.
    Have they added Waity and Waitying to the dictionary yet with a photo of the queen of all Waitying beside it?
  13. Liberty says:
    The site news.com.au has a piece on a “Gossip Girl- like show called Trinity” in which Cressida was trying to get her acting start and they say a scene in which the girls offer their “sexual favors” to men at a party might upset the Queen.
    Will a dance student who wants to be an actress willingly marry a Prince and give up her ambitions and be happy long term? That is the question (paging ghost of Grace Kelly).The fact that her mother carried the title of Lady and that Cressida is a free spirit (her mum was dubbed a bolter by the way) he likes are points that will have to grapple with what she may really want to do with her life. Ah, where is Chelsy.
    • HD says:
      Well said!
      As a devoted reader of the Daily Mail (DON’T JUDGE!!) I’ve seen photos of and articles about Cressida for several years. She is one of a cadre of social climbing blonde girls with tenuous connections to the Royal family and the upper classes that are hustling for attention or media-based careers. All while having very active night lives. She’ll marry Harry only if it occurs to her that her career-dreams are not going to happen.
      Someone here referred to her as Fergio 2.0. I think she’s actually Koo Stark 2.0.
      • Liberty says:
        @HD no judging! I read the DM too. It’s my trashy little fix, haha. I agree with your thoughts. She’s one of a group of girls like this in the UK. Too early to tell what will be, which is why it’s too early for Harry to pin her down. She’ll bolt like her mum (and others with Bohemian spirits).
        Here’s the link to the Cressida article I mentioned:
        http://www.news.com.au/entertainment/celebrity/prince-harry8217s-girlfriend-cressida-bonas-once-starred-in-a-raunchy-uk-tv-show/story-e6frfmqi-1226741411158
      • mayamae says:
        I’m American and content with my superficial knowledge of these people. As you say, this woman is no better than Kate. I think it may be more of a class issue, which is less important here than in the UK. It’s funny that Kate with her respectable parents is considered nowhere as good as Cressida with her six times married parents.
        I don’t like judging women solely on the basis of their looks, but since everyone else is commenting on it, I think she’s incredibly unattractive. I’ve only seen photos, no video, so she may just be unphotogenic. For a dancer, her posture is poor, and her style is way too bohemian for me. And while there are plenty of actors who are true “artists”, it’s a little shallow (to me) when a child of privilege wants to be an actor. Harry doesn’t seem to go for the pretty girls.
        This is pure opinion on my part, please don’t correct me en masse, or tell me how awful Kate Middleton is – I don’t think she’s wonderful.
      • Trashaddict says:
        Wouldn’t think of judging you! The Daily Mail is delightfully trashy! And they seem to get better paparazzi photos, too.
  14. Jade says:
    She’s really pretty. That’s all I’ve got.
  15. Diane says:
    This feels like deja vu with Charles’s brother #2 marrying Fergie. What a disaster that turned out to be and I like Fergie.
  16. Applapoom says:
    I think Kate is tougher than that. She may not have the blue blood but she does come from a solid and supportive family. I don’t always like the Middletons but they are stable. Cressida is beautiful and upper class but she does not have that strong support system to cope with the intense scrutiny of being married go a prince. I might be wrong though?
    Anyway, according to the Daily Mail, Cressida’s ancestors were given large parcels of land by the king five centuries ago for being nursemaid. If true, come on, the blue bloodedness thing is a bit of a farce really.
  17. Jackson says:
    Why do people turn everything into a cat fight? Woman vs. woman. I doubt KM is up nights worrying that this girl is going to steal her thunder. Kate is going to be the damn Queen (or at least married to the King) some day. She is mother to the future King. I don’t think she’s too worried.
    And as for Kate being some tight ass and CB being all light and airy and free-spirited? So what? Harry didn’t grow up with the same pressures on him that William did and he also doesn’t much need to factor that into who he marries. Why can’t it just be that they’re all different people and are attracted to different sorts? But, no, the media will turn everything into a cat fight. Sad.
    • Simmie says:
      Yes, thank you! It’s like they can’t conceive of the idea that women can have different personalities without hating each other for it.
      I highly doubt that Kate is sitting around worrying about Cressida stealing her thunder. Kate’s married to one future king and mum to another – she knows the attention on her is never going to go away.
      And the idea that Harry is actively seeking an anti-Kate is SO ridiculous! He isn’t judging each girl he dates on a Kate scale. He’s a very different person to Will. If he marries a woman who is different to Kate it’ll be because that’s what he’s attracted to.
      • LadySlippers says:
        These so-called ‘cat fights’ are ridiculous.
        Harry seems to genuinely like Kate so he wouldn’t try and find a woman who is the ‘anti-Kate’. I see him finding someone who meshes and works well with him, and (hopefully) one that can hold up under scrutiny.
        Not sure how much of any of these Cressie/Harry stories are even true. Something just seems off to me. But it could be just me.
      • mayamae says:
        I once posted that it was nice Harry liked Kate, and I was schooled quite sharply that he HATED her. I don’t see that at all, but I’m just an American. I don’t know who Harry will marry, or how the sisters-in-law will get along. I do remember that Fergie was considered a free spirited breath-of-fresh-air, until she made a laughing stock of Andrew and the RF. Cressida, like Fergie, may seem like the more likeable person, but sometimes people aren’t as they appear. I’m sure Harry’s not in a hurry to marry, the disasterous marriages of his parents, uncle, and aunt, may have made him over cautious. He’s still young.
    • Becky says:
      Yes, the part speculating over Kate having these silly ulterior motives to not like Cressida was unnecessary and a bit offensive, and not doing feminism any favors.
      In my personal experience, since I dated a man who lived with his brother for a long time, we often discussed and worried about his potential girlfriends. We would worry about whether the girls that his brother dated were after his money, if they would be annoying to hang out with since we would be spending so much time together, if they would be good for him….
      Since Kate has a new baby to keep her busy, I seriously hope she won’t be wasting her time worrying about CB overshadowing her, whatever that means. Even on a bitchy gossip site, this kind of speculation is not warranted.
      • bluhare says:
        As you did a little speculation in your personal life about your BF’s girlfriends, it’s a bit much to read you think “bitchy gossip site speculation” is not appropriate.
      • Liberty says:
        @bluhare — I am handing you a delicious chocolate cupcake and a glass of Champagne.
      • becky says:
        What I meant to say is that while my boyfriend and I certainly worried about the girls dating his brother, the concerns were linked to whether or not they were nice, easy to get along with and etc. I don’t see any reason to assume Kate is being competitve in the way described and find that it propagates the notion that women are petty. I love bitchy gossip sites, but its off putting, for example, to see a post on K-Stew calling her out for being a homewrecker (ugh).
      • bluhare says:
        Liberty: YUM. Love chocolate cupcakes. Especially if the frosting is more like icing so it’s hard.
    • MollyB says:
      Agreed and ditto with this site’s constant shade-throwing about who is invited to the baptism. Like, because they aren’t inviting Will’s aunts and uncles, Kate has no right to invite her BROTHER and SISTER.
      • bluhare says:
        I’ll admit I thought not inviting Sophie and Anne was a bit much. Poor Anne’s got such a bad track record with nephew christenings. She didn’t go to either William’s or Harry’s either, mostly because she was quite put out about not being named godmother. I think the DOE tried to intervene about Harry as well, but it wasn’t really a secret that Anne and Diana didn’t get along very well.
        But I didn’t say anything about siblings. I did say I don’t think dates are appropriate if family is excluded.
      • LadySlippers says:
        Bluhare,
        Diana had almost no say in who was chosen for William’s godparents so that’s almost 100% on Charles.
  18. Faye says:
    Right, because I’m sure when Harry evaluates his choice of future wife, he’ll do so with his sister-in-law in mind.
    God. Not everything is about Kate.
  19. HH says:
    Are we sure she got an invite? And Donna Air? What about Nico? If so, I find it odd that the significant others of siblings get invites, but not aunts and uncles.
    • Hautie says:
      I don’t see it as odd.
      I had suspected that is why the (Kate and William) decided to do it in this small chapel. Limited space. So limited guest list.
      Plus I still get the impression that Charles, is not exactly crazy about his siblings.
      But isn’t the Queen hosting a party afterwards, at her place/home. Where everyone is invited.
  20. TheyPromisedMeBeer says:
    So what is going on that all of these stories about an imminent engagement are coming out now? Do the tabloids feel confident enough about Cressida that they consider her fair reporting game? Are they bored? Or is it a “where there is smoke, there is fire” siutation?
    • LadySlippers says:
      Dearie, you forgot one option and it’s my favourite.
      ‘All the above’. The British Press are nasty & ruthless. So any and all (plus the obvious — this story makes money) reasons come into play.
  21. DianeP says:
    Back in the day (London’s Swinging Sixties, to be exact) Camilla, a/k/a Duchess of Cornwall, was a blue-blood socialite party girl. Look where she is now — married to Prince Charles, and the next Queen Consort.
    • Maum says:
      Funny you should say that. I actually think Cressida looks a bit like a young Camilla Parker Bowles
    • aquarius64 says:
      I think Camilla gets the title Princess Consort because she still has the stench of cuckolding Diana on her.
  22. JulieM says:
    Sorry, she seems like a nice girl and all, but I just don’t see it. I, too, think she’s very much like Kate (with Bluer blood), as in she doesn’t work and lives off her parents. Yes, I know she just graduated from dancing school, but she needs to get a job, dancing or otherwise. Heh, she could even be an accessories buyer for Jigsaw! Or, just marry a rich guy.
  23. Madriani's Girl says:
    Well, Fergie was also a free spirit and we know how THAT turned out. But Prince Andrew wasn’t as down-to-earth as Harry is by any stretch so who knows? This could work and it would be a lot of fun. I agree that Kate probably does have some concerns about Harry getting hurt but I also 100% believe she is afraid how she will “stack up” to Cressy’s fun-loving, carefree attitude. Kate got the future King but he is as stodgy and boring as his father which means she needs to be as well. If Cressy marries Harry, she gets all the perks of being a prince’s wife with very few of the responsibilities of the king’s wife. As to her alleged concerns about this girl’s background, I doubt that simply because again, Kate married William. Less-than-blue background or not, she won.
    • Suze says:
      I’m older than dirt so I remember when Fergie appeared on the scene. She was considered a woman who had a few experiences in life and was fond of a party, at least as compared to the sheltered Diana. Still, Sarah held down a job and she wasn’t really considered a bohemian spirit.
      Later she became known as money-grubbing loose cannon, but she was never an artsy wealthy flower child like Cressida.
      That said, you might’ve onto something in that their coping skills, or lack of them, could be similar.
      • LadySlippers says:
        Suze, you and I are probably about the same age! Lol
        I remember Sarah being hailed as a breath of fresh air too BUT Sarah wasn’t supported and shielded in the way Diana was. I honestly hold the BRF partly to blame for Sarah’s many face plants. Diana failed a great many times but she was handled (as Pss of Wales) way different. Press treated them like night & day too. Editors flat out stated they picked flattering pics of Diana and horrible ones of Sarah.
        Bottom line, Harry’s future wife will face a VERY steep hill to climb. I do NOT envy her one bit.
  24. Suze says:
    The two women are probably more similar than different but the media loves to simplify it all into the anti-Kate narrative.
    The big diff is that Harry loves his blondes and William obviously didn’t have the same preference.
  25. RobN says:
    So Harry is constantly photographed with Kate laughing and having a good time, and he’s moving in literally next door to her, but he specifically doesn’t want to marry anybody like her? Seems odd, almost like it’s made up.
  26. Zbornak Syndrome says:
    Cressdia will be Harry’s Sarah Ferguson, mark my words. Dunn Dunn DUNN!
    Oh crap sorry, I see someone up post beat me to it!
  27. Miss M says:
    I miss Chelsy. I miss Prince Ginger with Chelsy, 🙁
  28. TheCountess says:
    I keep reading her name as “Cressida Boner,” which seems appropriate for Harry.
  29. fairy godmother says:
    Liberty said “Cressida was trying to get her acting start and they say a scene in which the girls offer their “sexual favors” to men at a party might upset the Queen.”
    I think what it is called is ‘life imitating art’! LOL!!!
    Countess her real nickname is “Bonea$$”. She asked everyone to stop calling her that when she started to chase the prince. There probably is a reason for the name- just sayin’
    • Liberty says:
      @fairy godmother — see the link to the article I mentioned (posted it above by my original comment) – and re your comment: LOL!
  30. Cathy says:
    Hmmm the last “free spirited” royal was Fergie, and how did that work out?
    • Liberty says:
      Camilla seems a little free spirited too?
      My aunt says “Every generation needs its Margaret, or what would the news mongers do?” Now she has me thinking.
      • taxi says:
        Margaret was more to be pitied. Yes, she added colour but she was quite stifled in areas where moderns now exercise personal choices. Her romantic history is rather sad & she was known to self-medicating for her overall unhappiness, which eventually impaired her physical health.
  31. Violet says:
    I don’t think Harry sees her as more than a temporary girlfriend, but the media is trying to make this a story. After all, the royals are being a bit quiet at the moment — Harry hasn’t been to Vegas lately, cousin Zara’s husband hasn’t been making out with other women in public, Prince Philip hasn’t made any racist comments recently. Things have even been slow in Monaco, which is usually a hotbed of scandal.
    I can’t help but think Cressida has the most unfortunate name. Did her parents really not consider that most people would think of the car when they heard it? Nevermind her last name. I have no idea how to pronounce it but I know I’m not the only one thinking bonea$$, LOL.
  32. JLo says:
    Harry and Kate appear to really like each other…maybe she’s a normal person who doesn’t want to see her brother-in-law dumped or get his heart squashed. If I were the future queen, I really wouldn’t care who Harry married beyond familial concern.
  33. Bridget says:
    If anyone has the inside track on Prince Harry’s love life, it’s In Touch magazine.
  34. Mich says:
    Nothing to add except that it isn’t a life I would want for all the money in the world.
  35. Montréalise says:
    The last time a prince proposed to someone because she was so “fun-loving” was in 1986, when Prince Andrew became engaged to (and married)Sarah Ferguson aka Fergie. That didn’t work out so well…
  36. taxi says:
    Is it possible that some of Will’s relatives have been invited privately to the christening? Maybe SJP just hasn’t announced all the family attendees? Perhaps word got out on Cressy, Air, & Pip’s bf invites because they crowed to friends & family about it.
    I’ve heard people brag while they shop for clothing about where they’re going & why they “need” this outfit. I’ve heard retail clerks brag about who they waited on & what was purchased. “Miss so & so bought those gorgeous $3200 jeweled Loub’s from me to wear to the Emmy’s!”
  37. Trashaddict says:
    I think Harry’s quite lust-worthy but I would absolutely hesitate to marry a guy who gets drunk off his ass in Vegas and gets photographed while doing it. Now THAT’s what I call a bad portent for a marriage….but he would probably be fun for a nice aristocratic fling. Watch out Wills – don’t spent too much time away from home! God now that would be the scandal of the century. I really was hoping Kate would have a ginger baby-
  38. Jeanette says:
    If was Kate, I would keep my distance from any of Harry’s love interests in order to keep things civil at the thanksgiving table. I think he has a bit of Charles’s playa’ to him and in 10 years when the marriage ends up like Charles and Di she would have to take Harry’s side. Or vice freakin versa with Chelsea in reguards to the same thing with Wills.
  39. Jessica says:
    “I think Kate is just worried about how she’ll size up in a side-by-side comparison”
    Kate will size up just fine, because Cressida is pretty much Kate 2.0 in that she does not do anything other than party and hang with Harry.
  40. susan says:
    Team cressie, i find her absolutely beautiful without make up, how many hours does waity take to just look average shocking!! Cressida is a blonde bombshell, i hope she turns out like princess charlene!!
  41. susan says:
    Waity with her stable loving family look how she turned out, and her siblings are not better either, why keep trashing cressie to make kate look good, waity is an embarrassment to the royal family, she is fergie 2:0 not cressie, even fergie never stripped on the balcony, waity has added no substance to the royal family she is USELESS!!!!!!
  42. molly says:
    Waity Kate doesn’t like Cressida because she is pretty, sophisticated, fun, everything Waity kate is not she’s just a green eyed monster because she is married to the look-a-like of Charles and just as boooooooooooring !!!! Dhe chased after and threw herself at the wrong Prince – just saying !!!
  43. Roselia says:
    Strangely worded article. It suggests that Harry gauges all women by the gold standard of women… Kate Middleton. I seriously doubt that and it suggests that Harry is fixated on his sister in law… I doubt that as well, or his brother’s marriage and not the marriages of ANYONE else around him.
    Isn’t most guys gold standard their own mother, and not Kate Middleton?
    I mean, seriously,was the In Touch article written by a poster on The Royal Forums?
