Hate to say this, but you can never be an 'over'protective parent. When I have kids, I won't be leaving them alone for a second. Hope the little girl recovers fully and her kidney isn't damaged. I had that after an auto accident 12 years ago, spent 2 months in a coma. It's nasty stuff. My kidneys, liver, all kinds of organs failed but when they finally got rid of the infection they did start functioning again. I have many permanent problems though, one of my kidneys doesnt function properly, my lungs are damaged, I lost an eye and an ear drum.
