This ^^ is a photo of Anne Hathaway in costume (in a spacesuit?) in LA on the set of Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar. I like that Hathaway is one of Nolan’s girls now, and while I probably won’t care about Interstellar whatsoever, I like that Annie is working with big-time directors on big-time projects. But I am now and always have been a Hathaway Apologist. Join the club! We’re very earnest and let’s face it, we’re giant dorks. Which is why this new Radar/In Touch story is upsetting the delicate Hathaway balance. Apparently, Annie doesn’t crap rainbows and barf sunshine. NOOoooo.
Before Anne Hathaway agreed to attend a cancer research charity event, the actress made sure the event staff were made aware of her long list of demands, RadarOnline.com has learned.
An email to those working the Oct. 19 Pink Party Gala in Santa Monica says her team was getting “really concerned” that people would try to approach Hathaway for photos and autographs.
“Everyone was asked not to talk to her,” a source told In Touch about the Oscar winner’s outrageous requests.
The email also notes that other stars who attended made no such demands.
“I know in the past our hosts have mingled in the party, but each person is different. We are trying to respect her space,” event staff noted in the email.
At the party, even though guests respected her wishes, the Les Misérables actress didn’t seem happy.
“She was so rude and acted like a b*tch to a few people she did speak to,” the source revealed. “She just sat there rolling her eyes all night.”
Maybe she just hated her awful J.Mendel dress? Because wearing a bad dress can make even the nicest people kind of surly. Maybe she was also pissed off at all of the B and C-listers in attendance? Why am I even bothering to make excuses for her? I don’t know. I don’t really believe she would sit around a charity event (a charity event she was HOSTING!) rolling her eyes and acting like bitch. I do think she’s perfectly capable of acting like an elitist, “DO NOT LOOK MS. HATHAWAY IN THE EYE” bitch, but she probably didn’t act that way at a charity event?

While I can happily believe that AnnE would eat an orphaned baby heart (raw) to further her career, she’s far too much of a professional to pull the diva act at a charity event knowing that this would be reported to the media.

I feel like all of her facial features (eyes, nose, mouth) are just too big for her face. She can’t help it, so I feel like such a jerk that it annoys me. Her short haircut accentuates this further.
I thinks she’s stunning, and the short hair only shows her beautiful face. I would like it to be shorter, like it was just after the Les-MIs.
This is the same woman who bitched someone out during a speech because someone forgot the “E” on the end of her name. This behaviour is exactly what I expect from AnnE.

This woman has been guilty of appalling rudeness in the past, why would the simple fact that this was a charity event SHE obviously committed herself to stop her from having the audacity to let everyone in attendance know how miserable she was to have to be there?
I don’t buy this, she seems super worried about her image and people liking her. She may have been fake as f-ck to their faces but I doubt bitchy..

I’m not sure about this one. While I certainly believe Anne is MORE than capable of hyperBitch-mode, I’d be very surprised if she acted that way at a *breast cancer research charity* SHE was hosting… Aside from being beyond poor taste, the PR backlash would be awful, & she’s been in the biz long enough to know that, & put on a smile no matter *what* mood she was in.
But the fact that she *was* HOSTING the event makes her demand that no one approach or speak to her not make sense… Its totally contradictory to the responsibilities of hosting…
I *could* understand not wanting people asking for autographs & pics for the sake of not taking away from the true purpose of the party, breast cancer, & making it about *her*… I’m not an Anne apologist whatsoever, but maybe that was why, & the only solution she could come up w/to try to nip that in the bud? I still dont think it was the right way to go about it, though.

if you can be enthusiatic next to James Franco you can sit through a chartity event.
I remember watching this TMZ clip where she was trying to hide from the paparazzi and so she hid in this other guy’s car. When the paps dispersed or whatever, she simply got out without acknowledging the person who helped her, even when he did ask for a thank you. So, yeah, I already kinda figured she was rude and annoying.

I seriously can’t stand her. She’s all “please love me!!” And always seems so desperate. Her oscar campaigning was horrific, I hope she isn’t truly that unlikable. I enjoyed her in Rachael a Getting Married and that’s about it. Les Mis was awful and I have no idea why she got an oscar, besides kissing ass so hard her nose was brown.
