Chris Brown might stay in ‘anger management rehab’ for up to three months

Poor sucky baby. Poor Chris Brown. Y’all are a bunch of haters trying to destroy gentle Breezy. So poor sucky baby had to go into rehab after he and his bodyguard put the beat down on some random dude in Washington, DC. I guess we have to give Sucky Baby a slow-clap – a rehab stay for “anger management” is actually preferable than Breezy sitting around LA, free as a bird, getting high and giving interviews about how brilliant he is. Right? Well, now TMZ reports that we’re going to be free of Breezy for three whole months!!! WOW.

Chris Brown will spend up to 3 MONTHS in a Malibu rehab joint for his anger problems … TMZ has learned.

Sources connected to the singer tell TMZ … there has been no firm decision on the precise length of time Brown will stay, but everyone in Brown’s camp — including Brown himself — is open to as much as 3 months.

One source put it this way … “The rehab facility has been told to take him [Brown] apart and put him back together.”

As TMZ first reported … Brown is specifically getting treatment for his anger problem, which manifested itself last weekend when he was arrested for allegedly punching a guy in the face.

And, as we previously reported, Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, knows it’s very likely the judge in the Rihanna case will revoke Brown’s probation, which could put him behind prison bars for up to 4 years. The rehab move is an act of good faith, showing Brown is dealing with his problems.

Ah, he’s “open to as much as 3 months.” That means he’ll leave whenever he wants to leave, which I predict will be in less than a month. Unless the “racist DA” tries to put poor, gentle Breezy in jail or something. Because let’s face it, this is only about his probation in California. As for this idea that you can check yourself into a Malibu spa, er, I mean “rehab” for anger management… well, I think Chris’s treatment will probably be less intensive than whatever Lindsay Lohan got, which is to say… I have no expectations. Radar claims Chris is really trying to get with the program though:

Chris Brown checked into rehab on Tuesday night to “gain focus and insight into his past behavior” and now RadarOnline.com can reveal that worried family and friends encouraged him too because he had not “cured the pain” of the past. Following his latest brush with the law, the friends suggested he needed help.

“He’s a good kid, but he needs therapy,” one source revealed. “He had a tough childhood and is still holding onto that anger from his past.”

At a young age, his parents had divorced. He later witnessed his mother become a victim of domestic violence, once telling MTV that his mother’s abuse was “an influence in me about how to treat a woman.”

“All these ‘yes’ people aren’t looking out for Chris’ best interests. He’s going to keep landing in trouble if he doesn’t let go of these bad influences.”

[From Radar]

Blah, whatever. If someone actually tries to sit down and do intensive talk therapy with Breezy, it’s not going to end well. Chris thinks it’s some “gay sh-t” when a dude photo-bombs him. What will his reaction be when someone asks about his feelings?

If someone asks him about his feelings, he’ll say that he feels like people are picking on him for no reason. If pressed, he’ll say “I feel like kicking your @ss, mother-flecker!!” If asked to explore that thought and expand upon it, he’ll commence the beat-down. Unless the asker is bigger than Sucky Baby, at which point Sucky Baby will have a tantwum.

That’s what will happen if anyone asks him about his feelings.

For the safety of the general public, I hope this asshat changes. Even just a little bit.

  3. Lucy2 says:

They say he’ll go for 3 months. Let’s counter with forever, and negotiate from there.
He is neither “good” nor a “kid”.

One of these days, Chris Brown and Lindsay Lohan are going to hook up, and it’s going to be epically crazy

In years to come they will call it “The Day that Gossip Blew-Up”

    • Kali says:

Oh god, I’m intrigued yet completely terrified by this prospect. If there was any way to guarantee that no members of the public would get hurt – in car accidents, fights, and the like – I would be actively wishing for this to happen. The gossip would be epic!

He’ll never get “better”. He’ll always be a raging crack head.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. This appears to be a classic case of King Baby Syndrome, especially the temper tantrums.

I’m trying very hard not to give in to the cynic in me, here, but I’m floundering. I think no matter what he says about the length of his stay, he’ll only stay long enough to wait for the heat to be off him from the press/public. it’s purely a tactic encouraged by his lawyer to avoid (or at least lower the amount of) prison time he gets for probation getting revoked. It’d be 9 kinds of wonderful If his lying about his ‘begrudgingly done’ community service (keeping him on probation as punishment) resulted in his getting the book thrown at him, bc he’d had no one to blame but himself (not that he ever WOULD blame himself for anything, EVER).

If i had ANY faith at all in the legitimacy of his claims to want to get better, id say it would be a major i fluence on his life to talk about abuse he suffered as a kid (which, contrary to what that 1 source said; he no longer IS a kid). Like ive said before, Im almost positive he had to have experienced sexual abuse too, to end up sexually active at *8* years old… Which on top of beatings, could really explain a lot of things.

I’m interested to see where this goes. Here’s hoping!

He needs extended psychotherapy. If he commits to that, he might have a chance. Maybe.

OMG best laugh this morning. Thank you. Photo-bombing is g$y sh&t…wait til he tries to talk about feelings….awesome use of words

  10. Barrett says:

I was hoping it was 3 years in rehab.

  11. QQ says:

Here is to hoping the judge sees through that shit, LETS HIM FINISH REHAB AND THEN STILL PUTS HIM IN JAIL

  12. jwoolman says:

Granted this is a move to keep him out of jail, since the assumption is that a probation judge won’t take the little buttercup out of rehab to toss him into a jail cell. Lindsay Lohan used to do that also before hearings. But a real anger management rehab that also deals with his likely drug issues would be better than jail if it’s a lot longer than three months and lock-down approach (no passes out of the facility, strict limits on visitation from his thuggy and druggy buds). Let’s hope the judge gets properly inspired to do this. Otherwise, he’s likely to kill someone eventually or at least do enough damage to waste a good chunk of his life in prison. I know he’s awfully annoying, but it would be nice to see him turn it around some day.

  13. Meg says:

Um… his anger problem manifested itself last week? Seriously? Pray explain to me what was being manifested in the months and years prior to this incident?

I hate Chris Brown more than I have ever hated any person without knowing them. I hate that this is probably going to keep him out of jail. I hate his stupid face and I’m sorry, I’m so over the idea that he deserves any more second chances. This sorry excuse for a human belongs in prison, not in rehab. I hope he manifests some humility and contriteness, but I’m not holding my breath.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I am going to go manifest my anger issues all over a maple donut. Pffft… this guy.

  14. Jaded says:

I pity the counsellor that has to work with him. I hope this facility has a bullet-proof plexi-glass barrier in its treatment room. And random drug testing.

  15. Mitch Buchanan Rocks! says:

I remember an article on here about him being abused by an older female at the age of eight and had to act like it was cool?

    • Jo 'Mama' Besser says:

I thought that was depressing. I know everyone went in on him from that one–for thinking it was cool, but I found his fundamental misunderstanding depressing for him, his peers and and women who would come into his wake. I feel compassion for that little abused boy, but this guy? What a clusterfuck. I hope he takes this seriously, even if I have little hope that he will, at least take it seriously, at least this time I don’t think he will, but I unfortunately get the sense that he’s not at the end of his court orders. I can’t be too cynical because I don’t want to see a young fool turn into an old fool. We’ll see.

  16. nicegirl says:

Well unfortunately, this move may buy him some time with the CA court system. Circumventing prosecution by going to rehab, in most cases, is seen as a positive move.

    What a bunch of baloney.

  17. Twez says:

So ‘self-entitled asshole rehab’ is an actual thing? Most civilians just have to go to jail.
