Daniel Smith’s autopsy was faked, actual results point to murder or suicide

An explosive new story in The National Enquirer claims that the toxicology reports from the Bahamanian government in the death of Anna Nicole Smith’s 20 year-old son, Daniel, showed ten times the amount of the heroin substitute methadone in his body than was actually claimed. They say that someone conspired to fake the results in both the reports the Bahamian coroner’s office. They say that the conclusion by the independent medical examiner hired by Anna, which was presumably based on those falsified toxicology studies, is not accurate.

If this is true, it means that Daniel did not die of a lethal drug combination as was determined, and was either murdered or committed suicide with a massive dose of methadone. It is expected that this shocking news will lead investigators to ask for both Daniel and Anna’s bodies to be exhumed for further testing:

There is shocking new evidence showing that the postmortem test findings [on Daniel] are a fraud, insiders say, as the official Bahamian inquest begins into the mysterious death of the tragedy-plagued 20-year-old.

Doctors will testify at the Bahamas inquest that the troubled young man had so much methadone in his body – up to 10 times the previous reported levels – that his death couldn’t have been an accident, the Enquirer has learned exclusively.

But a private toxicology study done by forensic pathologist Dr. Cyril Wecht, who was hired by Anna Nicole, indicates Daniel died of a combination of methadone, Lexapro and Zoloft. The methadone levels alone were not deadly.

Because of the wild difference in test results, Bahamian insiders now believe that the island government’s autopy results have been faked – an act of sabotage by unknown entities behind the backs of Nassau pathologists to obscure the facts and create confusion.

And as a result, both Daniel’s body and his mother’s will likely be exhumed for further testing, say sources.

“Doctors who’ve learned about Bahamian toxicology testing on Daniel believe his death couldn’t possibly have been an accident – the only possibilities are suicide or murder,” a source close to the investigation told The Enquirer.

If Daniel was murdered, it would certainly explain why Anna was overheard yelling “You did this!” to Howard K Stern in her maternity room at the hospital before staff was summoned to her nonresponsive son.

The pathologist that Anna hired to do an “independent” examination of her son’s body is the same guy that claimed right after she died that he was sure her death wasn’t drug related, even though he had personally not examined her or reviewed the results of post mortem tests. I would not be surprised if he was caught lying about his findings, but if the Bahamian coroner’s office was involved heads are going to roll.

Anna was screwing the immigration minister who fast-tracked her application for residency, and there was a story that she also greased the wheels with bribes to the government. Someone was probably open to some quick cash in exchange for fudging the numbers on Daniel’s lab reports.

The National Enquirer is like a gossiping alcoholic chain-smoking great aunt. It’s easy to dismiss what she’s saying because she talks constantly and seems pretty wasted, but you realize later that the old bird’s ramblings were spot on. The Enquirer built their tenuous reputation with scoops in the O.J. Simpson case that were well ahead of the mainstream media. I don’t doubt this latest story that Daniel’s autopsy results were faked, because it seems probable and there are more sensational angles to exploit in the Anna Nicole case.

The Bahamian inquest into Daniel’s death is set to start on March 27, and authorities are more than interested in the fact that both Daniel and his mother died under similar circumstances within a few months.

Someone needs to get that baby Dannielynn away from Howard K Stern immediately. There are rumors that he’s negotiating with the maybe real-father Larry Birkhead to hand over custody before the DNA results are out, and I hope for the baby’s sake that happens quickly. I wouldn’t be surprised if he commits suicide soon. (Although I do not wish death on anyone of course.) I bet he has plenty of things to feel guilty about and doesn’t have the nerve to sit through a trial that will expose his maniacal scheme to get his hands on Anna’s expected 1/2 billion inheritance.

I can’t say I have much faith in the NE, but on the other hand Daniel’s death has always seemed mighty strange to me. Seemingly healthy 20 y/o’s don’t just drop dead. It’s also hard to imagine a kid would travel to the Bahamas to visit his mom and new sister and then just kill himself. This entire saga is so convoluted it boggles the mind. Daniel’s death is so disturbing to me. I hope the truth is eventually revealed.

Yeah, that poor baby. I really hope someone stable and loving gets that baby. Poor thing.

Wonder if this has anything to do with the hold up on Anna’s autopsy report?

p.s. Does the NE post date their paper??

The National Enquirer usually IS right about these things, even if people tend to write them off! Can’t wait to see what comes out of this investigation! I think Larry’s the father, and hope he gets the baby!

  5. Aunt Esmeralda says:

i thought that Daniel was the real bio dad of the baby, and he commited suicide after seeing his daughter/sister.

Oh come on, the National Enquirer is NOT “usually right about these things”. What things? Daniel was probably acting off that day and Anna thought he might feel “better” (read: high as a kite) if he had some, so they probably handed one of those Nestle’ Quik-sized bottles of Methadone to Daniel and said, here sport, take a slug o’ this – it’ll make you feel better, and, like sipping NyQuil from the bottle will always get you too much, did that with the ‘done. It could happen.

Anyway, I’m sick and tired of hearing how Anna and Howard thought they were so above the law they could falsify anything, and promise to pay their way through life with unearned money. Nauseating. They were professional litigants and courted “tragedy” (read: created tragic looking problems for themselves by their immature and greedy behavior).

Not to mention, Anna had a huge array of sperm donors and I highly doubt her son was one of them.

The baby is the spitting image of Larry Birkhead, so case closed.
