Chris Hemsworth didn’t bring Elsa Pataky to the ‘Thor 2’ premiere: would you hit it?

wenn20817608

Here are some photos of the Hemsworth boys at last night’s LA premiere of Thor 2: The Dark Whatever. The premiere featured NO Natalie Portman and NO Elsa Pataky. What the what? What is going on? How is it that both Natalie and Elsa had better things to do last night? I mean, I guess Natalie was probably working or finalizing her move to Paris or something like that. Which is fine, she’s done her part to promote Thor 2 – she’s been to at least three major premieres (London, Berlin, Paris), she’s done interviews and appeared on magazines. She’s done more to promote Thor than Chris Hemsworth, frankly.

Which brings me to Chris’s lack of interest in promoting Thor 2. Some have theorized that it’s about money, some have theorized that he’s just “over” playing a superhero with a hammer and that he wants to focus on other roles now. But what if there’s something else going on? What if his reticence is personal? What if there’s something going on with Elsa and his marriage? I thought for a time (and I still think it’s possible) that Elsa could be pregnant again and that’s why she’s been “in hiding” during all of these delicious red carpets. But Bedhead and I have also been theorizing for a few months that Chris and Elsa’s marriage might be somewhat rocky as of late. And the fact that he did the LA premiere without her? Very, very interesting.

Also – Liam Hemsworth is basically Lurch at this point. I used to think he was hot, but compared to Chris, Liam definitely is… the Lesser Hemsworth. Last thing: I really like Chris’s suit. That’s a fantastic suit.

Lurch. And now I can’t un-see. Liam has always looked a little ‘off’ to me. I’ve never been able to put my finger on it until now. Lurch.

  2. T.fanty says:

CHemboy looks delicious. I hope for Mr Rochester’s sake the Hemsworth marriage is still intact.

    • j.eyre says:

Please try to remember Mr. Rochester is quite open-minded… and thinks CHemboy is hot. My solution set grows every day.

      • T.fanty says:

Poor Mr. R. If he isn’t lame yet, he will be once you’re done with him.

      • Anna says:

RUSH is now at $90 mil internationally. YUPPIE!!!

      • curlsunited says:

@Anna: I saw “Rush” the other night and found him surprisingly convincing as James Hunt, although, to be fair, his part was a cushy number compared with Daniel Bruehl’s.

His other, erm, assets were pretty convincing, too.

    • Anna says:

Love him. Blue is lovely on him.

I don’t believe Trouble in Paradise though…Hems and Tacky were FAR too smoochy a couple of weeks ago in Rome or Berlin or wherever that was. I do think there’s a 2nd bun in the oven.

    • Anna says:

Plus I think he’s been away on location too much for there to have an opportunity for the trouble to develop. And he always talks her up in the interviews.

      • Marty says:

Agreed Anna. Although I’m really not sure what to think. He’s still wearing his wedding ring and as far as Elsa’s health goes she’s been confirmed to sign on to Fast and Furious…. I’ve lost count. I’m pretty sure that starts filming soon, so if it is her health it can’t be too serious. On the other hand no way in Satan’s steamy Hell would she miss THREE
        premiers.

      • Anna says:

The ONLY reason she is being brought back to FF is because of all the Internet searches for Thor or Avengers or Hemsworth will –> Pataky –> Fast Furious star –> PUBLICITY! I mean, thanks to Chris she is a bigger gossip fodder than anyone else in that franchise save for probably The Rock or – now – Statham.

  3. Another Ann says:

    “Liam the Lesser” – yes.

  4. eliza says:

I know I am in the minority but I am soooooo bored with Marvel comics movies. IMO, Hemsworth is another horrible actor. I know Thor isn’t Shakespeare but damn he is bad.

It’s wonderful he is pretty because otherwise he would be doing Lifetime movies or unemployed.

    • Anoni Mus says:

No, I’m with you. I can’t stand these comic-book hero movies anymore. So predictable and unoriginal. Even the yumminess of Chris can’t make me see Thor 2. Not even Hiddleston!

That being said, the guy is ridiculously handsome, so I’m enjoying the premier pics.

    • Dommy Dearest says:

Not I. I’m personally tired of the remakes and over used material in all the supernatural, horror, and comedy movies they’ve been coming out with. I’m a comic fan so I’m loving seeing the translation to film (sort of, then comes in not sticking to actual storyline but that happens). Though I do agree Chris is not a great actor at all. He passes at Thor since he doesn’t have to change his accent too much. Tom out acts him easily.

    • Myrto says:

I don’t care about Marvel comics to be honest (never read them as a kid, they’re not popular at all in my non English speaking European country) and I’m quite tired of the fact that Hollywood just makes super heroes movies after super heroes movies. One after the other.
Having said that, I just saw Thor 2 and it was AWESOME. Sure it’s a popcorn movie but it’s a great popcorn movie. And Chris as Thor was mighty fine. Jesus.

      • Dommy Dearest says:

Superhero movies are the thing currently. Just like how last year it was the zombie wave, then there was the supernatural angle as well. The superhero movies will only continue to do well due to the long standing fans in the long run. But one thing, you’re not tired of the constant remakes? Saw Hills Have Eyes remake years ago and never want to see anything again. I hate how they are going more for the disgusting factor that makes normal people cringe.

  5. MonicaQ says:

Suit zombie right here, good lord. Smite me to the 9 worlds and back. Though I think he looks better with longer, shaggier hair but that’s just me.

  6. blue marie says:

He looks good, so yes, yes I would. (I have a feeling I might have to fight for a place in line though)

  7. Kit2 says:

    God he’s attractive.

  8. MisJes says:

God, I’d take either Hemsworth. They both look good to me!

  9. PunkyMomma says:

You’d better believe I’d hit that. Repeatedly.

  10. Lindy79 says:

I’m in shock she hasn’t been to any of the premieres…

    • Kate says:

very handsome and charismatic. loving his interviews and humor on the morning shows this morning. last night watching one of the night talk shows and he was using that sledge hammer so forcefully….I had a tingling sensation

  11. Jen says:

Saw Thor 2 last night and it was actually, surprisingly, incredibly entertaining. Silly as hell, of course, with some thoroughly daft plotting, but the Whedon touch on the whole Marvel arena has made them up their game, I think, particularly on the humour parts. Chris Evans makes a 30-second cameo that actually made me cry with laughter.

    • Mia4S says:

Gee thanks for spoiling the cameo for the rest of us, how thoughtful of you! Yes I’m being sarcastic if you need it spelled out.

      • Jen says:

If I lie and say he was being caught in a clinch with Chris Hemsworth, would that make it all better? 🙂

      • Mia4S says:

Not really :-). I honestly don’t think the screen could survive a collision of that much bland. They’re pretty no doubt, but so so uninteresting.

  12. Dawn says:

    Yes I would.

  13. drea says:

The brothers are so pretty, but I think Chris looks even better in motion.

  14. MAM says:

Yesterday Chris said that he has been filming a new movie with the RUSH director in UK I think, maybe the whole family is there.

  15. Lipsy says:

Despite all the recent Miley drama, I root for her over this cheater/loser Hemsworth.

  16. cass says:

Chris is busy shooting a movie with Ron Howard – a Moby Dick-like story. That’s is why he hasn’t appeared on every Thor red carpet.

  17. Jen34 says:

I think both guys are adorable, and the wife is definitely pregnant.

  18. GIRLFACE says:

    Definitely would! Either one.

  19. Greata says:

I’m sorry but I think this guy is overrated in both looks, and talent. He has not paid his dues and yet there is an arrogance based on what…I don’t know. I actually think Liam is the better actor of the two.

  20. kpist says:

    Both look hot to me

  21. ShakenNotStirred says:

I don’t think there’s trouble, she’s probably pregnant again. She does love being on the red carpet though.

  22. Jenna says:

Liam is the Budget Chris Hemsworth. That being said, I’m not feeling Thor or his hammer at the moment. So, no…I wouldn’t hit it.

  23. MissNostalgia says:

I would roll with theory II…..she has been overexposed lately, maybe he sees her for what she really is and told her to sit the hell down at home with the kid; I don’t expect this marriage to last because at the end of the day, she still does want to be famous on her own over here. She is not going to be satisfied being the beach boho mom…..and the clock is ticking for her.

  24. lunchcoma says:

    Damn, that’s a nice suit.

  25. truthful says:

I would do him all day, everyday!!

I saw him on Jimmy Kimmel last night and his accent and tall sexiness just blew me away.

I had to somewhat stifle myself, my fiancée was staring me down, he started laughing and shaking his head, he then left the room.

I’d like to rotate him and Dave Gandy during the month.

  26. kim says:

    N…o…

  27. Sachi says:

He never used to do it for me but lately I find him so hot. 😀

  28. Carrie says:

    Cannot unsee Lurch.

  29. bettyrose says:

What am I missing with the Hemsworth boys? Too much beefcake, not enough devious bad boy charm.

  30. Dommy Dearest says:

    I can see them divorcing.

  31. Viv says:

I, too, have been wondering where Wagon has been. She’s hasn’t hitched a ride to C.H.’s horse lately for us all to see. I say she’s pregnant and unable to travel or something, otherwise, wild horses couldn’t keep the fameho away from the spotlight. She does make Celebitchy interesting. She probably has to realize that she’s getting too old now to make it as a female movie star, so I would think she’ll stay put as his wife. Still, I think she has some personality flaws, so for the two to remain married for the long haul, I think that’s questionable.

  32. CookiesandCream says:

It would be wise for her not to be pregnant considering the circumstances but when has anyone in Hollywood ever been wise.
