Billy Bob Thornton isn’t one of those bitter ex-spouses who constantly bring up their old partners in interviews. He has mentioned Angelina Jolie in a few interviews, like the time he joked (and really, it was a joke) that Angelina wanted him back. Otherwise, the five-times divorced Oscar-winner pretty much keeps to himself as of late.
Billy Bob is back, and he’s got a film to promote. Angelina’s name came up in an interview with The Boot. Billy talks about other stuff too, but his answer about Angelina is the one that will make headlines. He’s asked which actresses he wants to work with and he names Cate Blanchett, whom he’s worked with twice already. He also names Jessica Biel, which I don’t get. Then he says that he talks to Angelina all the time, and that they’re looking for another project together. Here are some of the interview highlights:

Jessica Biel for one reason and Cate Blanchett for another. I’ve worked with Cate twice, and I’d say she’s probably the best actress out there. I’d like to do another movie with Angie [ex-wife Angelina Jolie], too, one of these days. We talk all the time. She and I keep looking for something to do together; we just have to find the right thing.You’ve been married five times. Would you ever tie the knot again?
No. I’m not good for that. It’s not my bag. I think I’ve finally proved that! [laughs]What kind of dad are you?

Probably that I’m dark — because I’m really not. I write about dark stuff, I’ve been involved in dark things and I’ve been around a dark world in my lifetime, but I’m a pretty open and friendly guy. [I'm] probably not as strange as people think.What’s the craziest rumor you’ve ever heard about yourself?
One that was bizarre was that I only eat orange food. It was in the papers for two or three years! I used to go to this one hotel and have breakfast there and only order a plate of papaya and coffee, and those hotel people always talk about you to the media. So I think someone must have said, “All he ever orders is papaya,” and it must have come from that.

At least he knows well enough to not want to get married again. In case anyone is interested, the film he’s promoting is that one he did with Tea Leoni, Manure, where there were rumors that an affair with Billy Bob was one of many reasons for Tea and David Duchovny’s split. Tea and David have since reuinted (sort of, who knows) and Billy seems like an old, chastened hound-dog.

Angelina isn’t a dark person, at one time growing up she was but not anymore. No stranger than the kids today or back then. She’s really grown and matured and it’s payed off. Why bring up her past to cover up the last ten years of really great things?

A friend of a friend’s husband is one the the producers on Manure and they would often go to Billy Bob’s house and she said that Angie would call the house and it was all very casual. She also said Billy Bob was very nice and down to earth.

No news here, much ado about zip. Angelina talks to both her ex husbands, and always says nice things about them. That is how a mature and self confident woman/adult behaves. She loves Brad and their life together with their kids seems quite happy. She has been with Brad 4 years now, longer than any past relationship as both marriages imploided around the 2 year mark. All have a past, but the past is the past, she is no different, but we live in the present. This interview actually sounds almost exactly like those BBT has given in the past. BBT is always sort of tongue in cheek with the press.

How silly that anyone would think Angelina would be upset if Brad talked to Jen. Brad totally loves Angelina and she knows it. For all anyone knows they do talk. It’s been 4 years, 6 kids, move on.

Angelina still talks to BBT & ex-Johnny Miller. But she flipped out if Brad ever mentioned Jen’s name in the past. I can’t see Brad being too thrilled if she worked with Billy Bob, but Angie, the controlling bitch, will do whatever she wants anyway.

oh- she’s skinnier here than she is now- wow…i doubt either of Brad’s or Angelina’s outgoing call log has BBT, JLM, JA, GP or any of the many other exes in it- it’s prb all pediatricians, travel stuff & each other…BTW, Angelina is one of the few celebs you can tell HASN’T had any plastic surgeries- there are tons of pics of her at all ages and angles, pics of her mom, her dad, her bro and her 3 bio kids- unless all of them had their faces done exactly the same way- ha- it is a silly thing to mock her on…at least find something true

I guess no one caught BBT’s comment about wanting to work with Biel for one reason and Blanchett for another. I’m sure he wants to work with Cate because she’s a marvelous actor. But Biel, I suspect, he just wants to get into her pants.

—yep thats maddox. angelina worked on a movie with billy bob who was engaged to be married to laura dern. he slept with him on set, broke them up, married him and made him adopt maddox chivan thorthon. does this sound very familiar now i remeber after she got dumped by billy bob she worked with brad pitt who was married and did the same thing to him. expect even for 6 kids brad still hadsn’t and doesn’t want to marry her

Believe it or not I kinda liked AJ around the Girl, Interrupted era. Or maybe just for that one movie, LOL.
It’s all in good fun to rant about the celebretrons I think are too “out there” overrated and/or self-promoting. So my top three UGHs (female, anyway) are AJ, Britney, Jessica Simpson and JA.
(Anyone who thinks I’m a huge JA fan just because I don’t care for AJ….wrong!)
