We’ve heard that Brooke Mueller had a dirty drug test earlier this week, but that it was just for amphetamines so she’s getting a pass and it won’t affect her custody arrangement. Apparently Brooke has a prescription for Adderall, which explains why she’s testing positive for amphetamines. Case closed. Nevermind the fact that Brooke’s lawyer claimed that an Adderall addiction is what sent his client to rehab for the 21st time. (I’m not exaggerating, I feel like I have to add that every time I mention the number of times this woman has been in rehab.)
Well it turns out that the drug tests Brooke’s been taking twice a week have been administered by none other than the sober coach that she’s used off and on for the past five years. They’re not done by an independent party, they’re done at home and sent out to a lab. Brooke’s “sober coach” told ET that the report that Brooke tested positive for amphetamines was incorrect, that he takes his role as her coach seriously, and that his client is “clean and sober.” He also said that if Brooke was doing drugs again “I would be the first to report it… there’s no way I’m sinking my credibility for anybody.” The guy called Brooke a “fantastic mother” and said that she regularly plays music with the boys, goes swimming with them, and does art with them. I guess that’s another side to this story, from someone who is on Brooke’s payroll. I do hope this guy is telling the truth, that he’s as above-board as he’s claiming, and that Brooke is sober. That would be a wonderful ending to this story.
Radar reports that people are questioning whether an independent person or agency should be appointed by the Department of Child and Family services to oversee the tests. It sounds like a no-brainer to me, but I also don’t think Brooke should have ever been granted unsupervised visits with her boys given her history.
Speaking of Brooke’s history, Radar has a related story detailing how Brooke went to rehab twice while she was pregnant. We’ve heard this before, and we’ve also heard the sad details about how she allegedly did crystal meth while she was pregnant with the twins. Despicable.
Brooke has been seen out shopping for a condo. Charlie Sheen is trying to sell the home he bought for her in the same gated community where he and Denise Richards live. I guess once Brooke slapped Charlie with a restraining order he decided that he couldn’t keep track of her and the boys and may as well be rid of her.
The tabloids are full of this story this week. The National Enquirer has a new angle and claims that Charlie’s dad, Martin Sheen, is asking his other son, Emilio Estevez, to step up and care for four year-old Max and Bob. This would mean that DCFS would have to declare Brooke an unfit mother, and you know they’re not going to do that again unless Brooke screws up royally. I hope for her boys’ sake that she is truly sober and is focusing on being a good parent, as unlikely as that sounds. This may be controversial, but I think Brooke has a better chance at getting sober and stepping up as a parent than Charlie does, not that either option isn’t bleak.

So basically, anyone could be giving samples for her tests. This is really unbelievable. People who are attempting to find employment at even the lowest level jobs have to go to an independent lab for their drug screening. Not just mail it in. Those poor little boys.
Whats the problem…everyone knows that drug addicts never lie about using drugs or would try to cheat a drug test! Dear God, DCFS and the judge are idiots!!!

She probably gets the kids to take the tests for her. This is just entirely so sad.
And these little boys will grow up to be mini-brookes and end up with addiction and mental problems and fill the earth with more a**holes. Poor kids, its sad. Emilio should take care of them, and give them a second chance at life thru hockey.
Those poor kids are being set up for failure, and I don’t know why any parent would want to do that to their child.
The Department of Children and Family Services is a joke. In the state I live they allowed a dad to beat his son to death after numerous reports of the abuse. That department needs a serious overhaul.
This is just wrong. For all they know the employee does drugs with her. I can’t believe how incompetent this all sounds and how willing the State of California is to put these two boys in harm’s way. How disgusting is this case going to get before someone somewhere does something that is in the best interest of these two children?
Honestly, neither camp is credible. Denise has a cozy relationship with Charlie so who knows how much that may be affecting her report (intentionally or unintentionally). Same goes for this sober coach. Fingers crossed that he is right, though.
I really respect Denise for stepping up for the boys, and I kinda get that she wants her kids to have a relationship with their father…however, I’m not sure, that I would want my kids to have a relationship with a crazy, druggie, hooker-loving, nutcase father…here is the question…Is ANY father, better than no father at all?
It seems to be that Charlie isn’t allowed to be around his daughters without Denise being there. I’m sure she wants them to have. Relationship with him, but to me it seems like she monitors that relationship closely and I’m sure if she felt it was damaging to the girls, she’d cut it off. I highly doubt the girls are aware of the extent of their father’a crazy and I’m guessing it’s bc Denise keeps him on a short leash in terms of his behavior around his kids. And while I think it’s really sad that he won’t get sober for his kids, I’ve never read any reports of him being hammered or blitz around them either. It seems like he at least tries to stay sober during his 1hr supervised visitations he does have with them.
I agree with Len and I DO NOT buy the theory that so many have been pushing that Denise is Charlie’s pocket. I really, really disliked Denise (other than her stunning performance in Drop Dead Gorgeous) but when Charlie put her threw the ringer I stopped and listened to what she had to say.
Denise has shown time and time again that her main concern is her children and her family NOT CHARLIE. She has been there for him but with boundaries and acknowledges that he is the father of her children by keeping him involved. In return I think that Denise is Charlie’s rock and the most stable relationship he has ever had. When they initially split I got the impression it was because Denise refused to expose her children to him and the lifestyle he was turning back to. Because with Denise in his life he was shaping up, doing better in his career and even reconnecting with his eldest daughter. Charlie has a pattern of getting better and then re-lapsing and acting like everyone is crazy for being concerned. Brooke I believe allowed him to act however he wanted to because she was an enabler as well as a user herself. The stories they were releasing and the crap they said and did to Denise and her girls during that time makes a lot more sense now that we know they were still using.
I think Denise is smart (yes I just said that) because she knows that her daughter’s brothers will always be connected to them and wanting what is right and good for them make her good person. Nobody can do anything for those boys as long as the Brooke is in charge. But I hope Emilio does get the chance.

Yes, that’s what got me laughing. He’s been her sober coach for five years?!? He’s the real story. Brooke’s behavior over the past five years isn’t exactly a glowing testimonial for his services. Who is he and what is his record? Why does he think twice a month testing is ok with her history? I’d be testing her daily at least for her favorite drugs (including alcohol). And it really makes no sense for DFCS to accept samples taken and transmitted by Brooke’s employee, no matter how credible he says he is. It just is stupid in so many ways and if he were a truly credible sober coach, he would know that and just drive her to the proper place for independent sampling.
How incredibly absurd that she is not independently tested at a legit facility. How can anyone think this is a good idea? And the fact that Charlie wants to kick Brooke out of the house in his own neighborhood is a bad idea and is such a punitive thing to do. Why would he NOT want his kids to be in the same neighborhood that he lives in? Perhaps try to foster a more frequent and meaningful relationship with them? Maybe he figures if Brooke lives in a condo he can have someone spy on her more easily? (Which is not a bad idea, considering her track record.) It’s all such a damn mess.

If that’s the case then it’s a shame. Shame, really, on both parents. Why can’t they both try to love their kids more than they hate each other? Or more than they love their drugs? IF Brooke is actually clean and sober, I could maybe, maybe, understand her wanting to live further away from CS – dude is scary and I think capable of doing really nasty things. Such a sad situation all around.

I totally agree with you; I can’t understand how DCFS would give her full custody of the kids. She’s only been out of rehab for a month? They keep some kids away from their mother even if sh’e been off drugs for a year, why does Brooke get special treatment?
Can the drug test tell the difference between Adderall (sp?) and meth? I don’t think so.
Any decent drug test can tell the difference. Adderal will show as an amphetamine and meth will show as methamphetamine. I worked at a drug treatment center for years and conducted countless drug tests.
Does California NOT have drug court? I’m so shocked by this. In Michigan you have to go if you get a drug conviction or 2 DUIs within 5 years. You appear before the court in person once a week and you have to go to a testing facility and give a sample – while a drug court officer watches – every day. Every. Day. Then when you graduate from that phase it goes down in frequency, but the entire program lasts a year. It has had great success here and in other places where it has been implemented.
If ever anyone needed this sort of thing, it would be Brooke Mueller!!!
My brother had to do this, but not in California. But since he was forging medical records, he got away for a while with taking the prescription painkillers that every drug test showed. As long as Brooke has that “prescription” the dirty tests probably wouldn’t even matter in drug court.
The DCFS is a joke & the judge is a moron. Brooke should not even be allowed to see those boys unless it is certain that she has cleaned up her act & this should be done by an independent party not the so called sober coach who does nothing to help her since she has relapsed over 20 times under his care, he’s getting paid so much money which is why he’ll continue to enable her & write a good report. I said it before Charlie knows he’s an unfit parent except financially & I applaud him for voicing out his concerns even with the gag order, I dont agree with his methods but its getting the job done. When things go bad, the blame will be on Brooke, her sober coach & the DCFS..
I can’t believe that any court system, even one as overworked as CA’s, would allow an addict like Brooke to call the shots.
well all they have to do is on monday say Brooke we are testing you on friday. Amphetamines stay in your system for 24-48 hours. They need to take away her aderall and do hair sample tests with an independent agency in order to verify that she is clean
I don’t believe in her one bit, I hope the children will be taken care of by some responsible adult -and that is not Brooke or Charlie-. Like hell she is a proper mother, let’s stop with the bs. I just hope the DCFS wakes up.

don´t know why but i have hope.. i mean look at her. She looks frumpy… her bad facial skin, her hair, her cloths… that´s how someone looks when he/she finally is sober after all the years with drugs. Before she was all about cloths and slim, now she looks homely and aged. I believe (and hope for the boys) she is sober.
Her sober coach would be an absolute idiot should he lie for a nobody like Brooke Mueller. The world is watching! Should he lie for money his career is sooo over and he could find himself in gossip rags. No one would be so stupid. So i think he says the truth.
Prayers for these little boys. I really hope someone is caring for them out of love and not greed.
Poor Bob has that Damien look about him. Those kids need help quick before they get worse.
So does anyone think that Brooke may have bribed someone at CPS to help her or to be as lenient as possible? I mean $55K is a lot of $$$$ and Brooke could easily offer someone a very large lump sum or regular pay-off. I mean who among us could not be swayed by an offer of $25K or $5K a month?
