The technology blogs are all aflutter with the midnight launch of the Xbox One gaming system. These are photos from the green carpet of the big Los Angeles launch last night, and Christina Hendricks showed up along with a bunch of nerdy-hot guys. Christina was there with her own hot dork, husband Geoffrey Arend. I’m not quite sure what Christina was wearing — some sort of tartan dress that mercifully covered up her rack (because shiny ball gowns have a place). She looks comfortable and cute too. Her man looks like a professor from the 1970s, but I’m pretty sure she likes him that way. She’s carrying yet another fugly purse (I included a close-up in the gallery), but hopefully this one didn’t cost $23,980.
A few other ladies showed up for the event. Adrianne Curry was there because she travels wherever the geek flag flies. She’s kind of overdressed, but she usually goes all out for these events. Just feel lucky she’s not dressed as Aeon Flux.
Sarah Hyland wore an ill-fitting sleeveless jumper. She seems out of place.
Now for the dudes. There were a bunch of mild-to-hot guys at this event. Why is Idris Elba there? He’s probably going to get most of your votes. My vote would probably go towards Derek Hough, who is very good looking even though he’s reportedly an egomaniac. Other attendees included Joel McHale, Jason Sudeikis (without Livvy), Snoopzilla (seriously, he’s calling himself that now), the two least talented Jonas brothers, and Wil Wheaton with a beard. I was not prepared for that beard AT ALL.

I follow Wil Wheaton on Twitter so I knew he’d had a beard for a really long time. His followers love him, you can even get a little Wil Wheaton plushy, with a beard!
I feel the only reason they all showed up was for a free Xbox.
I’m sure he’s nice, but he played Wesley. Everybody hates Wesley.
Wil Wheaton hates Wesley too. It’s part of what makes him lovable as an adult.

Yes! I grew up watching him on a local sketch comedy show in Seattle called “Almost Live!” (YouTube it if you like Joel; he was only on the last couple of seasons though, so there’s not a lot of him. It’s also where Bill Nye the Science Guy got his start.)

I wouldn’t have recognized Wil Wheaton hadn’t you told us it’s him! Stand by Me is my all time favorite movie, I never understood the hatred towards his character in Star Trek TNG, and until a few years ago (when I still read his blog religiously) the guy remained hot. Maybe I need to revisit his blog to see what happened.
I didn’t like his character growing up because I thought he was useless and the plots always made him find a way to be “useful”. And what he did with the Alpha Flight out by Jupiter trying to cover it up, I was like, “Yup, done with you as a character” just like I was done with Ensign Ro.
If it seriously wasn’t for Killer Instinct, I would not be buying an Xbone. Ugh. I know consoles want to be “everything” now but seriously I don’t need twitter and skype and all this extra crap. I just want to play video games. And none are backwards compatible! THE HELL. I’m lucky I got the early run PS3s so I could play my PS2 games because pffffft/end nerd rant

You said it Monica!! I dont need all this other bullcrap with my consoles, I just want to play some freaking games. Xbone and PS4 arent backwards compatible yet but there are rumors that they might do a cloud update so you can play your old games. I’m waiting on buying a new console because my backlog of 360 games is huge! Seriously, last generation had so many great games that I could play everyday but still not need to buy the new consoles for years.
Christina looks as if she has dropped weight. The cut of her dress is spectacular, but I don’t like the plaid. She is such a pretty woman.

Adrienne curry has poor taste in clothes. She is thin and pretty so she can get away with it. But everytime I see pics of her, she is wearing something cheap looking with large earrings AND a large necklace — Overly accessorized and possibly stuck in 1999.
