She is a VERY cute baby! But I’m kind of bothered by the fact that she’s kind of expressionless, you know? By this age, babies smile and giggle and look a bit more…animated? I dunno…just something I’ve noticed in all the pictures. Hopefully she’s smiling and giggling off camera. 🙂

I mean, she IS Kanye’s kid though. He never smiles, and on the rare occasion he does, it looks all sorts of wrong. So I’m not surprised that she’s a very serious baby. And cute as hell!
You do know that babies, regardless of their age, are like adults too in the matter of facial expressions, right? Contrary to popular belief, they do not smile, or cry, or sleep for 24-hour straight. Sometimes, they can be bored too. Hence, Nori’s expression.

Fully agree. These facts are ignored o harp on the parents. To make jokes of a baby because you dislike e parents is mean spirited. I dislike William and Kate on occasion, but think George is a little cutie. Baby jokes are just low class imo. Venting or not.

They’re not going to wrinkle their clothes/ smear their make-up masks, even for a photo op.
There has been a few (staged) photo ops of Kim holding North. One when she attended Kanye’s grandfather funeral and another when she and Kanye went to lunch. She was holding North during that lunch. I think there may be one more, but I forget at this point. Someone pointed out that the baby didn’t seem to interact / be comfortable with Kim at all (rarely looking at her, pulling away, etc). But I’m not able to speculate on that….

I am NOT a KK fan, but honestly, she looks comfortable holding her baby in those photos, imo. & the baby is looking around and touching things like babies at that age do.
i´m not the biggest Kartrashian-fan, but i find it unbelievable how people slate this woman as a bad mother. After the birth we have´t seen much of her and the baby. I was really shocked because i was sure Kim would use this baby for several photo ops. The baby was a few months old when we saw the first photo and then Kim was back. She was definitely bonding with her baby the first months. Just because she is now back making money doesn´t mean she is a bad mother. You don´t need to be with your baby 24/7 to be a good mother. It´s ok to go to work or have a date with the father.
The photos of them together show a relaxed Baby. Look at how she sleeps at Kim´s shoulder. Mother and baby look comfortable and that is all what matters.

I’ve seen plenty of her…but she isn’t exactly “back to work”…unless following Kanye around and getting dressed up to go out to dinner is her JOB.
@ SuSu. Sorry, but there is no way you can tell if she has bonded with that baby. She could have just as easily been hiding out to recover from the obvious plastic surgery and to wait until she felt she was presentable enough. And running off to Paris sans baby doesn’t exactly show a whole lotta bonding. No way most moms would do that unless their job depended on it. She isn’t working, so let’s not pretend she is. None of us knows for sure either way, but what we do see and her history doesn’t exactly suggest a doting mother.
I figured she was in hiding getting her plastic surgery. Never even occurred to me that she might bonding with North.

I think that is a bib. With any kid under 14 months, they are a must anytime the kid is awake.
To me bibs are not a must under 14 months. My granddaughter has been taking hers off since she was about a year old. Only time I ever used bibs was for feeding food.
Nah, my baby’s two months old and bibs are pointless. She doesn’t confine her extrusions to the area covered by her bib so there’s no point yet forcing them on her.
I disagree with an earlier post though – kanye’s all-white-clothing dictate would be ideal for a baby. What better for a newborn than a wardrobe that doesn’t show milk-spew?

If they’re at Art Basel and going to high-end parties it’s inevitable that they’d run into artists. If they buy art or talk about buying art, the artists’ reps will make sure they’re all in the same room at the same time. I kind of doubt Koons is actually friends with them – unless it’s for kitsch value.

With regards to the color the baby wears, Kim stated in an interview she only wants her daughter wearing beige and white. This is a FACT.

Nori is adorable, but she’s not a happy-looking baby. She reminds me of that poor ragged white kitten Kim used as an accessory. Even animals smile when they’re happy.

Yeah it’s bizarre I noticed she doesn’t post smiley photos. I do think this is calculated by K and K. My daughter is the same age and if you take multiple shots you will get some smiling and some staring like this. I guess they think serious is chic and “French” or something.

Yes. I hope for her sake, there is color somewhere else in her life. Christ, children live for colors. I think I drew rainbows nonstop from ages 4-9.
I’ve bought a lot of white for my daughter who’s due in January. Thats not to say i havent bought clothes in other colours but I like babies in white. There is something so innocent and pure about infants in white.

It took Carrie a few minutes to hit her stride. Her acting in the first scene wasn’t the best … but after that, I thought the whole show was great. She is very talented.
Has anyone else speculated that this is really the biological child of Kim and Riccardo Tisci (sp.?), Kanye’s designer boyfriend? When I saw Riccardo holding the child, it crossed my mind that Kanye would want his true lover’s child. I guess we’ll see how she looks as she gets older, but it’s been a nagging suspicion of mine for awhile.
You can clearly see that North West is part African-American…Ricardo is not.

I found Rashida Jones’ essay to be really interesting and thought provoking. I too am tired (and bored) by seeing so much bikini line this year from pop stars…but I still can’t decide if that is a healthy reaction from me or not. Why does the line between a pop star being “sensual” vs. “sexual” make me feel so uncomfortable and sad for them? To me, it feels like they are degrading themselves and trading a bit of their soul for the attention, but is that what is really going on? I think back to Jenna Jameson’s biography and the parts about her being a stripper. She felt empowered at the time, but it also bred a hatred for men and per her own description, left her a bit damaged. I am glad Rashida wrote what she did, as it gave me a bit of pause to reflect on my own perspective. It is just so hard to tell when a woman is going to those extremes because SHE wants to, and when it is something that she feels she must do to get ahead. I remember Miley kissing a girl onstage during her “Can’t Be Tamed” phase…and apparently that stunt didn’t have the desired effect so she went further and started to include lab!a. Strong woman in control, or a woman lowering her standards to get above the fray and gain attention?
I see Kanye’s album only got Grammy nods for best rap album and best rap song. He is going to have a meltdown that he wasn’t nominated for album of the year. I expect some rants in the near future.
