She has her moments (she was very good in Black Swan) but I was stunned at how awful she was in that OZ movie. Just dreadful.
I usually don’t get the appeal with most of the stars people and the media go on about, but I do happen to think that Mila, while not the greatest actor, is actually quite beautiful. What can I say I am a sucker for big pretty cat like eyes.
I’ve always thought that she was pretty, but I think she’s a HORRIBLE actress. Especially when she was on That 70’s Show. My sister and I used to talk about how she was the worst one out of the lot.
She was pretty good in Black Swan, I’ll give her that… but otherwise, I’d rather see the bland acting of some other starlet than her.

Yep. There was only one movie where she was interesting – Black Swan. She looks so boring and ordinary in every other. She looks the same everywhere. She is very ordinary and limited actress. That Black Swan movie made her star. But she is not really worth that status. She looks so bad in this Jupiter Ascending trailer as that chosen one. Such a miscast.
When she dresses up, she is really sexy. Even in that casual picture, she still looks good. Lots of guys (and girls) like that.
All I want to know is if Sean Bean’s character stays alive through the whole film.
I automatically read that he was in it, and jumped to “Oh, I wonder when he dies?”

I have lusted after Sean Bean on screen since whatever James Bond movie he was in years ago. Even bought (yes bought) “The Island” on DVD because he’s in it. Has a great voice too.

He does seem nice in interviews, but I just can’t get with that face. Kind of like Ryan Reynolds doesn’t seem like a famewhore as much as the others, but I can’t get with his face either. They both remind me of EVERY “Hot” jock from High School.

For once I agree with you Scout.. I don’t get the Potatoes appeal either. He’s a terrible actor and not very attractive IMO.
He doesn’t do it for me, either. He seems like a perfectly nice man, but his looks aren’t quite my thing and his persona is a bit too reminiscent of high school jocks for me as well. Oh, well! Some of the men I find attractive don’t appeal to others, either. The world is a better place when we’re not all fighting over the same pretty people!
(But can we all at least agree that those pointy elven ears in the trailer look ridiculous on him?)

And for the love of all things holy… why does SJP not let her curls be great?! That center part attempt.. at straight stringy hair… is not a positive look for her. Nor is that harsh color. What is wrong with the blonde highlights and curls? They are both so flattering to her face.
Yet, I have no idea why SJP has been so hateful about the Carrie Diaries show… is SJP not getting a cut of the profits or something? Or was she delusional enough to think, she should have been cast as the teenage Carrie?

I haven’t seen her be exactly hateful about it. She said that she’s not sure how she feels about the show and that it’s odd.
I know The Carrie Diaries has its fans, but it gets very poor ratings and (in my opinion, at least) is not very good. The original Sex and the City is aging kind of awkwardly and is now associated with a couple of movies that are generally regarded as being bad. I think Parker may be concerned that this new show dilutes the brand even further. Or, she may just think that The Carrie Diaries is a bad show. I would probably say harsher things about it than “odd.”

I don’t know anything about the story, the plot, the characters… but I get this intense feeling that, at the very least, Mila Kunis was horribly miscast in this movie. I really don’t think she is blockbuster leading lady material… and I actually really like her. The short acting bits we saw of her were terrible.
Well I am not a Mila Kunis fan and just don’t get the appeal of Channing Tatum but I am going to have to keep an eye on Jupiter Ascending just because it’s by the Wachowski’s.

I don’t get his appeal either he is one of those guys once I leave the cinema he is forgotten in my mind, I am sure perfectly nice but I am picky about my £12 ticket price. Same with Ryan Reynolds and with him I wouldn’t see a film he’s in unless I am on a longhaul flight trapped for 9 1/2 hours bored to death.
I need to make a joke about Uranus assending, but so far I haven’t found a way to fit it in other than “Jupiter ascending? Uranus ass-ending more like! Hur hur hur…”
I think she’s talented and not the usual blond starlet, but her deal with Ashton skeeves me out so much I don’t like HER at all. Just creepy now, but this looks good and no matter what you do get an interesting movie with the Wachowski brothers/sister, siblings? I don’t know what they prefer to be called, so I’ll stick with siblings until something else changes. I didn’t like Tatum at all a few years ago but he’s gotten much better as an actor, he’s also making great role choice unlike Ryan Reynolds.
