The final chapter in the ugly Madonna-Guy Ritchie divorce seems to be winding down. Aside from the numerous allegations from both sides, including rumors of cheating with a certain high-profile baseball player, this split has really been about two things: the divorce settlement and the children. Madonna was reportedly pissed as hell that she had to hand over $76 million to Ritchie in the settlement, but as far as custody of the children, it appears that Madge fared well. Her request to establish U.S. residency with the children has been given preliminary approval – which means that Lourdes’ two little brothers, Rocco and David, will be able to stay in the States.
MADONNA has won her residency battle with GUY RITCHIE and will move their two sons to America, according to a new report.
ROCCO, eight, and three-year-old adopted tot DAVID will join sister LOURDES, 12, in New York.
Madonna is understood to have been given temporary permission to remove the two boys from Britain – with the move expected to be made permanent shortly.
A source close to the negotiations told a newspaper: “Everything is going to be resolved in the next couple of weeks.
“Everything is going well. It’s pretty amicable at the moment. Things are progressing.”
Madonna’s spokeswoman refused to comment on her post-divorce plans.
I have to say, I’m surprised that Guy allowed the kids to be moved so far away. I hope there is a liberal visitation agreement in place, giving him lots of access to the kids. But given that Madonna is the mother of all control freaks, who knows? This is a woman who sends along a lengthy list of rules and instructions when the kids visit their father, for everything from what they eat to what they wear, listen to and touch. I also wonder how much privacy the kids are going to have living in NYC with their famous mom. I can’t help but think that Guy would have kept them more sheltered from media and paparazzi if they remained in the UK. How many shots of Madonna and the kids leaving that NYC Kabbalah center have we seen since the split?

I agree having the pappos around the kids 24-7, they will never be able to have a normal life. I hate to say it but it would probably would be best if the boys lived with Guy.

It amazes me that she is allowed to move the boys out of the country away from Guy.
I had to petition the court when ever we relocated to another state when our kids were minors.

It is odd, isn’t it? Maybe Guy’s being the bigger person here by believing it’s best for all the kids to be together and is putting his own feelings to one side. Agree with everyone who thinks they’d have a much better chance of having a relatively normal life here. I feel bad for him, he really loves those kids.

Oh,wait,there is something so brilliant about rote memorization;what was it again??? Hmmm…guess I forgot to memorize it-no,wait,no I remember: It means you get to name/book/author drop as an adult at parties!!!! Hooray!!! [Seriously,I’ll give you that thinking is not considered important enough to teach in USA schools at the grade school level,but it levels off after that. And what good is thinking if you don’t get to move beyond convention [a la UK-style]once you’re in college?
I’m not even going to read the article- All I have to say is that it is officially a sad, sad day for those children. No father, unless certtifiably unfit, should live more than half an hour from their children’s residence. For moving the children across the pond, Madonna is scum, pun intended.
I agree that Guy should have got the kids. The decision should be based on who is a more available parent, not who the bigger breadwinner is or just automatically give the MOTHER custody. Gender has absolutely nothing to do with who is the better parent.
I never saw a side profile of Lourdes before, and after thinking she looked just like Madonna, she looks more like her father from that angle. This is sad though, I hope they at least to fly off every month or so to see him, or vice- versa. Why is it the one who cheats gets the kids? I’m not going to pretend I was there, but with Madonna’s ways, who knows how screwed up these kids will get now.

I dont see where he kids are screwed up. Just because she is a star doesnt mean her kids will be any more screwed up then any other kids who are products of divorce,.
If anyone screws those kids up it will be Ritchies dad and his mouth flapping crap about madonna all the time. He needs to stfu. I bet he had a part in the marriage collasping with his big moth and interference in their lives.
