I was always amazed at how classes were NEVER canceled due to the weather. There could be an ice storm of biblical proportions, and still, we'd have to shuffle our asses across the frozen tundra to get to class. Crazy. I live in Alaska and know all too well that if a city isn't prepaired for bad weather etc., even a little snow and ice can wreak havoc. We had a bit of a warm spell a couple of weeks ago and school was closed for 3 days because the weather was that treacherous. Mehh.
