Beyonce: ‘I was 195 pounds when I gave birth. I lost 65 pounds, I worked crazily’

bey

Beyonce has a new video interview/monologue to promote her album! And in this monologue, she’s discussing her pregnancy and getting her body back after baby. And I have no comment. I swear. Some of us will just always believe there was something shady and some of us will always believe there was nothing shady about the pregnancy. We’ve fought that battle over and over. I will say this – the way Beyonce talked about pregnancy and her body back in May 2012 was a lot different than how she’s talking about it now. Here’s what she has to say about it now:

It’s been almost two years since Beyonce welcomed daughter Blue Ivy with husband Jay Z, and in that time, the pop diva has certainly been busy. Not only did she embark on a massive sold-out world tour, light up the Super Bowl halftime show, and drop a record-breaking fifth studio album without any promotion, but Queen Bey also shed 65 pounds of pregnancy weight. And she is ready to show it.

In her fourth YouTube mini-documentary (entitled “Liberation”) since her Dec. 13 iTunes release, Beyonce opens up about embracing her body in her new self-titled visual album.

“I was very aware of the fact that I was showing my body,” she said. “I was 195 pounds when I gave birth. I lost 65 pounds. I worked crazily to get my body back. I wanted to show my body. I wanted to show that you can have a child and you can work hard and you can get your body back. I know that there’s so many women that feel the same thing after they give birth. You can have your child and you can still have fun and still be sexy and still have dreams and still live for yourself. I don’t have any shame about being sexual. I’m not embarrassed about it, and I don’t feel like I have to protect that side of me because I do believe that sexuality is a power we all have.”

But Bey did seem a bit embarrassed when talking about her raunchy single “Partition.” She said the lyrics were mostly free-styled by her, and she was afraid to play it for her loved ones.

“It takes me back to being in my car as a teenager,” she recalled. “It takes me back to when me and my husband first met, and he tries to scoop me and he thinks I’m the hottest thing in the world. I kinda had this whole fantasy of being in the car, and this whole movie played in my head. I didn’t have a pen and paper. And I was so embarrassed after I recorded the song because I’m just talking s–t. I’m like, ‘I can’t play this for my husband!’ I still haven’t played it for my mom. She’s going to be very mad at me.”

The accompanying video for the Grammy winner’s tune is equally suggestive as she dances at the Crazy Horse nightclub while a cigar-smoking Jay Z looks on.

“The day that I got engaged was my husband’s birthday, and I took him to Crazy Horse and I remember thinking ‘Damn, these girls are fly,'” Beyonce recounted. “I just thought it was the ultimate sexy show. I was like, ‘I wish I was up there, I wish I could perform that for my man.’ So that’s what I did for the video.”

[From Us Weekly]

I don’t really have a problem with what she’s saying or how she’s saying it – this is her choice, to focus so much of her journey on how she looks and “empowerment” through looks and superficiality. It’s her thing, and she’s not saying, “Every woman is like this, every woman needs to lose the baby weight and perform empowering strip teases for their husbands after having a baby.” It’s just HER thing and she thinks she’s being an inspiration to all of those women who have had babies and want to work hard to take off the weight. I guess. Whatever, I just don’t want to be yelled at.

Here’s the video – it’s a little NSFWish… there are some thongs and “empowering sexiness”.

Must have been an extraordinarily heavy pillow. Pfft, just kidding.

    • Kaiser says:

      lol, love it.

    • paola says:

yes. It was full of crap.

    • Nicole says:

Actually it wasn’t. If you watch that terrible documentary of hers. She is full blown nude and prego. She didn’t lie.

      • jelynn says:

The belly reveal is completely in shadow and you can’t see her face. That’s not convincing very many people.

      • Liv says:

Actually her documentary made me believe she wasn’t pregnant. I mean she tried to convince us that she was indeed pregnant, but never showed a picture of her showing off her belly? Don’t get me wrong, she doesn’t have to bare her pregnant belly to the public, but obviously she wanted to convince us that she was pregnant – why then not showing a clear picture?

      • Eleonor says:

I’ve always thought if she was really pregnant she would have flaunted her pregnancy belly all over the places.

      • Monksolo says:

I can’t believe you guys still think this. She has a gut now from having a child and hides it with high-waistbands, and her body just looks… different.. like she’s lost muscle tone around the thighs. To me it doesn’t look good. She may be fake in everything she does, but I’m pretty sure she had a kid.

    • Annie says:

LOL – it’s very easy to lay off working out for a few months to look, uhhm, “pregnant” …way easier than starting to work out for the first time ever after your first child! Everything about her video for most women who have given birth for reals would just have screamed F-A-K-E, and it itsn’ even only to do with her “weight gain” or lack thereof -it’s well, that plus everything else. So what, anyone can have a squishy gut “now” just from normal weight gain or from less than flattering clothes. Everything about B’s video seems fake – ikd how to describe it but do you really think a woman like B would be the “all belly” type, no cellulite, no rolls or nothing? I think not. I reckon B would have been the type to gain a noticeable amount of extra weight and take a year or 2 losing it. Any person can have more or less muscle tone before or after baby depending on your discipline level. Getting squishier does not = having a kid, automatically. IDK, it’s hard to put my finger on , but my gut feeling is she didn’t have the kid herself, but rather the kid is genetically hers but she used a surrogate, and I feel that way wether or not she gained/lost weight or whatever.

    • Nicole says:

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9tb8hsRwP4
Yes, she faked it. She just got a little pudgy with fake bellies. Yes, even the one of her in a bathing suite. Special effects people can do anything. Why? Her vanity.
Didn’t want to go through the process. You can see other stars that really were pregnant and can also tell where surgical procedures were preformed. B just couldn’t have that. She’s always had a weight problem. She lost weight for the movie Dream Girls. The best she’s ever looked. Voice is electronically ramped beyond her skills. She didn’t sing live after Kelly Clarkson did and excellently a true talent. She couldn’t stand being shown up. Her concert performances are electronically enhanced and some of them, (Super Bowl half time) not that much vocal range to that performance. Guess who spilled the beans on concerts being enhanced, none other than Kanye West. He had a tantrum, stormed off stage because the sound people didn’t have his “deep voice” working at one of his concerts! She’s believing her own hype and way out of control just because she’s friends with the President. Birds of a feather flock together.

    • Nicole says:

Tell her to perform bare legged without the spanex fishnet tights, if she’s so flawless.

  2. Maureen says:

Why does she insist on LYING?

    • Seiko says:

      Lol
      Because she’s an entertainer.

      • Maureen says:

Sorry, I don’t see what one has to do with the other. Lying and entertaining. She’s entertaining people (her fans) whether she lies or not. So why lie?

    • kimmy says:

at least she isn’t trying to tell us she weighs 100 lbs and is a size 0….coughKimKardashiancough…..

      • Moneypenny says:

True, but there is also no way in hell she’s 130lbs either. She’s not a small woman–I don’t mean that to say that she’s fat (she looks great), but she is not short ad doesn’t have a small frame. I’m shaped just like her (though I’m 5’11”) and I used to look deathly ill at 145lb.

      • Samanthalous says:

But at least you knew Kim was really with child.

      • Dani says:

130 lbs?? Yeah righttttttt…I’m naturally smaller size wise than B and had a baby 3 months ago. Pre preg i was 145 and looked waaaayyyy smaller than her and I’m 5’7”. I don’t understand why celebs think they can lie about their size. we have eyes.

  3. Cecilia says:

    boo

    hiss

  4. paola says:

I still don’t believe she gave birth.

She looks thinner now, but not crazily thinner compared to her ‘pregnancy’ days.
These celebrities (I’m including you too Kim KardASSian ) need a new scale. Obviously the one they have doesn’t work properly.

You can tell those two are friends. pfff.

    • We Are All Made of Stars says:

Yeah…. supposedly she’s not that tall and yet she’s saying she only 130 pounds? We all saw her thighs live at the SuperBowl, and, no. On a related note, I have an acquaintance who just got offered $70,000 by Beyonce’s team to photoshop digital film footage of her (basically airbrushing films such as for TV and her videos) because, and let me quote, “She’s not really as skinny in real life as she looks.” Technology….. it’s an amazing thing.

      • paola says:

Beyonce might think we’re all very stupid but i think we all know she doesn’t look as skinny as she wants to appear. those thighs have either witnessed some lipo or airbrushing. i believe you, photoshop does wonders.

      • Amelia says:

Photoshopping moving image is a skill that continues to evade me. I tried a bit of it during my editing days at Uni, but the people I tried to alter always ended up looking like walking, talking stickmen, or as though a shark had taken a massive bite out of their legs.
Tell your acquaintance to take that $70k and skinny down Bey! Lucky bugger.

      • We Are All Made of Stars says:

Well Amelia, I am a complete Luddite since I actually had no idea that you could photoshop a moving image until I heard about the job offer. Yup, living in the Dark Ages up in here.

      • Alexis says:

She’s pretty tall – 5’7″. I’m about that height and have a similar body type, and hover between 120 and 130. I actually assumed she weighed less than that at her lowest weight. Doesn’t strike me as off at all. I also don’t really care whether or not she carried her baby. The kid is here and favors both parents. I highly doubt they could have paid off enough people to keep a surrogacy secret.

    • gogoGorilla says:

I don’t know why some of these celebrities are obsessed with appearing super thin all the time. I mean, like her or not, she’s a striking woman, even with an extra 10 or 20 or 30.

Do people really care that much?

      • NerdMomma says:

I really like this comment, gogogorilla! If she wants to be an inspiration, show us that many different body shapes and sizes are beautiful. I’ve had kids and my body is not the same, and that does not stress me out.

One doesn’t have to be a size zero to be gorgeous and Beyonce is dynamic and gorgeous. Relax a little Bey

  5. eliza says:

Ugh. The thought of stripping for JayZ kinda nauseates me. Looks are not everything but that dude has the creep factor x’s 1000.

    • Florc says:

He’s kind of awful. And there’s no way he’s faithful so I bet there’s some stress factoring into her motivation to drop the lbs.

    • MorticiansDoItDeader says:

Is the crazy horse a burlesque club or a strip club? If it’s the latter, it strikes me as tacky to celebrate your commitment to one woman by going to throw money at a bunch of naked women.

      • hunter says:

It is a very classy and artistic burlesque club. I’ve been there, it’s very high-end and you do NOT come near the dancers (all performing on stage) and there is no throwing of money, you stay in your seat.

Some of the performers DO get entirely naked but there are no direct crotch shots (the only thing close I saw was wearing a merkin). It’s more in the Dita Von Teese frame but with more performers and more acts (there are at least 6-7 acts or more per performance).

    • V4real says:

@Eliza Jay does kind of look like the Camel from the Camel cigarette pack.

BTW I don’t think she cares if he cheats, she just cares if it gets out that he cheats. Too many rumors about their marriage being more of a business arrangement

  6. UghInsomnia says:

    UGH.
Wow, women gain weight whilst pregnant and then have to lose it? Congratulations, Beyonce, you’re a human.

  7. PrairieGirl says:

How condescending. As if other women don’t want to get back into shape and be sexy after they’ve had a baby. The fact is, the rest of us don’t have nannies to help with midnight feedings or to care for the kid while we’re at the gym, and we don’t have a personal trainer, a chef and a housekeeper to pick up the slack. You’re not an inspiration. You’re an example of how life is for the 1%. /end rant

    • Rachel says:

      Don’t forget nutritionist/dietician.

    • Florc says:

      True enough.
Amy Adams came across very honest about her baby weight. I believe her. Beyonce? No.

    • Fernanda says:

Exactly!!! I mean, that’s her job – to be a performer! Just like a professional athlete. And with all the cash she has it’s quite normal that she sheds the baby weight. 1 % that’s for sure.

    • lisa2 says:

I don’t agree with that. There are many women who have 1, 2, 3 or more children and manage to find time to take care of themselves. It has nothing to do with “people to help you” all the time. But self motivation. If losing weight is an important thing then some women do it. We see those very average and ordinary women in the gym, walking at the park, and just exercising.

being healthy is not a celebrity thing. It is just a thing that some people do.

I don’t get mad at celebrities because they can afford help. If I had kids I would most likely get help. If I could afford a live in then I would do that. I have friends that are professionals that have nannies and cleaning help. It is not a celebrity novelty.

If my job depended on me losing weight then yeah I would be more motivated to do it quickly.

      • Trashaddict says:

60# is a lot. You have to cut 500 calories a day for 60 weeks to do that.
It’s possible. It’s also possible she had liposuction.

      • TinyTurtle says:

It doesn’t take THAT long to lose 60# if your determined, I’ve lost more than that in 2 months doing a liquid diet with steamed vegetables.

But now I don’t have to worry about dieting anymore, I had weight loss surgery in July and I have lost 120# in 6 months. It’s definitely NOT the easy way to do it though.

    • sbsb says:

PrairieGirl – I agree with you 100%. I used to be a fan of Beyonce but she’s lost my respect because she seems to have lost her values. Of course anybody can lose weight – but we all have different lives, motivations and finances. Yes you look great but if you are teaching these shallow values to your daughter, she will need all your money for therapy.
      Get off your high horse.

  8. swack says:

Why, lately, have we be inundated with stories about Beyoncé? First, $6000 for sex toys, then $100K on booze and now this. Seems like such an attention grabbing ploy. Is this because of her new album or is her self esteem that low (I would have never thought it would be low)?

    • paola says:

Because we have to know how much sexual she is. because you know.. how can you sleep at night without knowing that?

    • We Are All Made of Stars says:

Well, she’s over 30 and has been famous for like 15 years, which makes her ancient in Hollywood. And she also had a baby, so she has even more reason to let everyone know that she’s still the Queen (of something) and that she is still sexy, likes sex, is perceived as sexy and sexually satisfying by Jay-Z, and has sex appeal.

    • Hakura says:

@swack – I believe her self esteem was always low, causing insecurity & constant need of approval/attention as reassurance (& surrounded herself by sycophants in order to get that). While I get the impression she thinks highly of herself in other ways, her appearance has never been one of them.

  9. Nicolette says:

Right. Beyonce please just STFU already.

  10. judyjudy says:

She sure enjoys talking about herself endlessly. I wonder what it’s like to be so convinced that your own thoughts about your own life are the most important thoughts in the universe.

    • malina says:

      +1 🙂

    • Maureen says:

That’s it exactly. She lies. And not because she has to lie, or needs to lie, or is lying to cover something up. She lies because she’s an egomaniac who loves to talk about herself. She loves it so much that she’ll tell lies just to have a story to tell about Beyonce, especially when the story is purely for the purpose of self-aggrandizing.

  11. FreeBunny says:

People still think she faked it?
I mean, I have no opinion about it because she doesn’ interest me that much, but could you tell me why you think she wasn’t pregnant?

    • msw says:

It all started when her belly collapsed on national tv. She sat down and it folded right in half. I’ve been pregnant twice and I can honestly say it has never folded in on itself. There were a few incidents after that, too. I don’t really care about her either way, but yeah, it was pretty obvious, especially when all the little things started adding up.

I don’t really have a hard time believing it because a a lot of her behavior seems incredibly vain and pretentious. she is obsessed with image. I think it’s hilarious that she won’t let anybody take pictures of her except professional photographers so she can screen out all the bad ones.

      • MCraw says:

Maybe you should rewatch the video. In photos it looked like that. But the video shows the fabric fold, not her stomach.

      • V4real says:

Get real. That fabric wouldn’t fold that much. It’s not like the dress was extremely large. Plus a pregnant belly would keep the fabric tight when going into a sitting position

      • kristiner says:

        V4real exactly!

They can all it the fabric all they want but when she was standing and walking the dress was hugging a baby bump.

Fabric WOULD and CANNOT fold in half when there’s a hard bulge blocking it. A stomach would have to be flat for a dress fabric to fold like that. It was as if the dress was inflating in a circle arch and she sat down weirdly leaning forward and it deflated.

Clothing cannot deflate over something hard. It’s just not possible. They would have to be nothing there for it to deflate/fold like there was nothing there because she had no stomach.

Maybe if the dress was billowly but it was a tight fitting dress. Not some mumu

      • Launicaangelina says:

In may opinion, her face after the “fabric” folded, tells you everything. FAKE.

      • Maureen says:

I don’t know if she faked it. I don’t even honestly have an opinion about that. I despise her so much that I literally try not to think about her much. But I can tell you one thing: nothing about Beyonce looked or felt pregnant when she was pregnant. It’s not just the belly folding in when she sat down. It was her total lack of looking pregnant. Women have a look. It’s not only a glow (some women don’t glow — when they have really hard pregnancies they can look quite worn out and ill), it’s also changes in the body like the lips becoming fuller. Nothing about Beyonce changed. Her weight didn’t fluctuate (which is why her lying burns me up). Her boobs didn’t look bigger either during pregnancy nor after when she was supposedly nursing. Anyone who says her boobs looked bigger just caught a picture of her on a day with a bustier bra, that’s all.

      • Tiffany :) says:

Here is my take on the fold. I worked with fabric and clothing quite a bit in college, so my opinion influenced by that.

The dress was form fitted on her standing frame. It was bigger over the bump and tight at her waist above the bump but below the boobs (empire waisted if you will) . In my opinion, the fold happened when the roomy portion of the dress covering the bump rose up as she sat down to become placed over her ribs (below the boobs above the bump). IMO, it was just a shift in the dress.

      • Tete says:

The split second look of embarrassed shock on her face when the prosthetic belly folded was classic.

    • june says:

We all watched the HBO documentary.. not once did we see a full body shot of Beyonce pregnant. It was either a head or body shot.I can’t stand this narcissistic B. I’m just so happy she didn’t break Brittany Spears and Taylor’s record… selling the most albums in a week. Thank you Jesus.

      • Maureen says:

I didn’t see it. I won’t ever see it. I saw clips and it was vomit-inducing. Her inability to speak above the level of a 4th grader and her fake spiritual hocus-pocus and phony philosophizing and her screech/singing and her stomp/dancing and her “I’m so blessed” crap and her obsession with herself is vomit-inducing.

      REASONS BEYONCE PROBABLY WASN’T PREGNANT:

      1) Another gossip website (sandra rose) had an article just before beyonce announced her pregnancy on the VMA red carpet. It showed photos of beyonce performing at the Roseland Ballroom 10 days before the pregnancy announcement. Beyonce’s belly was FLAT. She was wearing a mini-dress with a cutout at the belly. FLAT BELLY. The link is

      http://sandrarose.com/2011/08/beyonce-opens-four-night-stand-in-nyc-with-controversy/#more-41689

The same website had another article about beyonce just after the red carpet pregnancy announcement with more photos, calling out beyonce for lying about her pregnancy. The link is

      http://sandrarose.com/2011/08/the-moment-when-beyonce-upstaged-everyone-at-the-vmas-video/#more-42944

If celebitchy doesn’t post links from other sites, just go to sandra rose and search “Roseland”, and the articles should come up. Anyway, those photos convinced me, since beyonce only performed at Roseland for 4 days, and again, that was 10 days before her announcement at the VMAs. HOW DO YOU GO FROM A FLAT BELLY TO A HUGE BUMP 10 DAYS LATER????

      2) The infamous belly folding on tv. Wendy Williams covered that. She had an employee of the show who was as far along as beyonce claimed to be try sitting down to see if the same thing would happen. First, the pregnant woman leaned backward to sit (and that was brought up in a lot of places, that PREGNANT WOMEN LEAN BACK TO SIT, NOT FORWARD). Then was the fact that the pregnant woman’s belly was very firm, and didn’t appear to fold or shift beneath the fabric of her clothes.

      3) Beyonce never gained any weight in her face, arms, legs, or ass. Just the belly, and the belly didn’t seem to change size much during the “pregnancy”. There was a youtube video that traced the pics of beyonce’s “pregnancy” during the months that suggested her bump got smaller at one point.

      4) Beyonce spent much of her “pregnancy” doing photo-ops in 6inch and 7inch high heeled shoes. That never made sense to me, given that pregnant women deal with joint and back pain. Also, when beyonce subsequently claimed in her documentary that she’d miscarried before, it seemed even more ridiculous to trot around in super high heels. Shouldn’t she have been worried about the baby/potentially falling?

      5) Beyonce’s documentary only showed her “pregnant” belly in silhouette. Also, there was a clip of beyonce showing off what she claimed was a pregnancy bump while wearing a belly chain. But that “bump” was so small, it could have been the result of a hefty meal. Furthermore, she’d just claimed that she’d been pregnant and miscarried a few years earlier. I recall that beyonce was given to wearing belly chains earlier in her career (she’d stopped wearing them by the time of her IASF album). So if that belly-chain shot was a pregnancy bump, it could have been from the earlier, miscarried pregnancy.

      6) The kind of person who would announce their pregnancy on the red carpet of an awards show seems like the kind of person who’d show off their baby bump in pretentious black and white “glamor” shots in Vogue, or in a music video, or on their website (I’m not sure if she had the instagram account then). Absence isn’t evidence, but it seems curious given the unlimited, shameless attention whoring beyonce usually does.

      7) The “pregnancy” saved beyonce’s career. Her album 4 (and it’s attendant singles) were flops (they didn’t sell or chart as high as expected). You may recall, however, that beyonce never got the flak for 4 that Lady Gaga got for Artpop, even though 4 sold 300k its first week in the US (#1 debut), and Artpop sold 258k its first week (also #1 debut). The difference isn’t much, and beyonce also had a huge, expensive marketing campaign (like the one Gaga was criticized for).

Beyonce didn’t get flak because she first dropped out of marketing the album, and announces the Roseland Ballroom set of shows. Because beyonce wasn’t out there as much, the criticism/public interest turned away from her (but her core fanbase could still be excited about this small, exclusive set of shows). Once the stench of failure faded a little, beyonce then announces her pregnancy at the VMAs. No one cares about her flop album and its flop singles anymore, they want to know all about the pregnancy. Beyonce gets a year of (relatively) good publicity out of the pregnancy (she mucked it up with the folding belly incident, since I only know of one media outlet that bothered covering her FLAT belly at Roseland). She also gets an excuse for not touring on the back of a flop album (she’s “pregnant”– even though other entertainers, like JLo and Gwen Stefani have toured while pregnant). Touring on a commercially disappointing album is bad, because you haven’t picked up new fans, and old fans may not want to shell out money to see you perform songs no one liked. Beyonce got to delay her 4 tour until a lot of good publicity could be whipped up for her (inauguration performance, Pepsi endorsement deal, Superbowl halftime show with Destiny’s Child for good measure). The Mrs Carter Show World Tour (god awful name) was basically the 4 tour she never did when 4 came out to disappointing sales, mixed reviews, and bad publicity.

Basically, the “pregnancy” saved beyonce’s 4 from officially being the Artpop/Bionic of 2011.

In light of everything else, I find it difficult to believe that’s a coincidence.

      • Valois says:

But what’s the point? That ivy isn’t her child? That they used a surrogate? Then why didn’t she get pregnant- cause the time mattered?

        (Not saying I don’t believe it. I just don’t think I got it a 100 %)

      • delilah says:

Freebunny asked why people think beyonce faked her pregnancy. The point of my post was all the reasons why people in general (and myself in particular) think she faked it.

As for motivations for faking a pregnancy in the first place, I only offered one: it helped her career by distracting people from an album failure. But that wasn’t the question originally asked. “Why beyonce faked her pregnancy?” is a different question from “Why do people think beyonce faked her pregnancy?”. It was the latter question I was answering.

      • Valois says:

I wasn’t saying that was the question- it was my question. It just made sense to me asking that when some people obviously know more about the details than I do.
I didn’t miss your point, I was just adding my question 🙂
Still, I couldn’t find an answer to it that would explain it. I totally agree it helped her career- but why not getting pregnant herself?
Or wouldn’t have using a surrogate and bragging about it helped her, too?

        I understand now 🙂

As for why beyonce used a surrogate: some people think she didn’t want to “ruin” her body by getting pregnant, or halt her career recovering from the pregnancy and struggling with weight loss. Others postulate that she didn’t want to publicly admit to having fertility issues (because it wouldn’t fit her pr narrative of being a “strong”, “empowered” “perfect” specimen of womanhood that can do anything).

It’s also possible that she may have been pregnant, but no where near as far along as she appeared at the VMAs. In that case, she got pregnant, and decided to use the pregnancy to distract from her failing album. She put on a prosthetic bump to emphasize the belly, but didn’t think things through. Once she appeared at the VMAs with a huge belly (that appeared out of nowhere), she was stuck with it, since going back down in belly size would seem questionable. Furthermore, if you subscribe to this theory, it means that she ultimately had a c-section several weeks before the natural due date would have been in order to fit the (visual) timeline of the pregnancy.

I’m not sure why she pulled a pregnancy stunt. She’s never going to admit it, and anyone else who knows anything isn’t going to talk. What I think is important (at this point) is that she pulled a stunt, and that her career benefited from it.

      • jilly says:

There are two separate issues here. The first is whether Beyonce was ever pregnant with Blue Ivy. The second is whether she carried the child or hired a surrogate. Beyonce claims that she carried the child. There is some evidence suggesting that she did not. I personally do not care either way because, at the end of the day, there is no disputing the FACT that Blue Ivy is her and Jay-Z’s child.

      • delilah says:

        @ jilly

No one is talking about whether or not Blue Ivy is biologically Beyonce’s and Jay-Z’s daughter, so I don’t know why you are bringing it up.

The general consensus seems to be that beyonce wasn’t pregnant/hired a surrogate. That’s not two separate issues. That’s one issue. “Wasn’t pregnant” and “hired a surrogate” aren’t mutually exclusive ideas. They go hand in hand, and bring us back to the fact that no one is questioning biology.

If you don’t care about this topic, then I don’t understand the purpose of your comment at all.

      • jilly says:

I’m saying that there are two separate issues — whether she personally carried the baby on her body (aka, was pregnant), or whether she hired a woman to carry the child for her (aka, used a surrogate). And I’m also saying that I personally do not care which she did and I don’t understand why it is such a big deal. It’s her private decision and if she chose to lie and claim that she carried the child, or whether she was actually pregnant and is speaking the truth, at the end of the day, it was her egg and Jay-Z’s sperm that produced this child. Next.

  12. Janet says:

Screw this lying shady holier than though yonce. She really needs to just shut it. It’s classic PR brainwashing….keep talking about it say all the right things and people will believe it, and they will, and they do. It doesn’t make it true. I could care less whether or not she actually was pregnant, what bothers me is how she thinks we’re all so naive, gullable and outright dumb.

    • Cecilia says:

Nothing worse than being taken for stupid.

    • Yeah, I’m calling bs on the 65 pound weight gain. She was like Angelina or Kate when ‘pregnant’–Beyonce is not a little woman, not someone who has a hard time gaining or keeping on weight. She didn’t gain anything in her face, arms, nothing. She has a great figure, but no one can convince me that she drinks Pepsi, or whatever she’s shilling nowadays. She’s thick–she (like me) probably gains weight pretty easily. She should’ve been like KimK.

      • Lex says:

Nah Kim is tiny height-wise. 5 kilos on Beyonce would look easily like 10 on Kim as there is a smaller space for them to spread out. If she were pregnant, it is not implausible that she wouldn’t look that huge. She is about 1.7m tall. People carry pregnancy weight totally differently so that argument is kind of silly. You can use Kim as the example of what all pregnancies should be. I’ve known women that you can even tell are pregnant until 8 months

  13. bammer says:

I don’t care what anyone says her body is amazing in her new videos. I love her new album as much as reading how angry she makes people. She’s number 1 on the charts again this week. Go Bey.

  14. Evi says:

Whenever she speaks she sounds like an uneducated bimbo. Her narcissism knows no boundaries.

  15. Renee says:

Is it wrong that I don’t believe that she is 130 lbs??? I could be wrong, she is extremely disciplined, I could see her following a strict diet and her upper body is kind of slim. It’s from the waist down that seems like she would weigh more, because she’s muscular.

    • MorticiansDoItDeader says:

I don’t believe it either. I’m her height and weight around 120-125 (when I’m not pregnant) and my legs are much slimmer. Although I’m top heavier than beyonce. My guess is she’s about 145-150, but she’s in great shape.

    • OriginallyBlue says:

No it’s not wrong. She’s a curvy woman and 130 seems off. My mom used to be built like that (then she met her husband) and she was around 140-145. But it was muscle, not fat.

      • Moneypenny says:

She’s not a pound under 140. Probably 145. This is my exact body (sorry, already said it above, I’m 5’11 though). I wish people would stop lying about these numbers, making people think thy have to weigh a certain number to be hot, completely discounting different body types.

    • Alexis says:

I buy it, give or take a few pounds. I learned from a weight loss site I joined years ago is that people can look hella different at different weights because of height and body composition differences. I’m around the same height and weigh a little less and look similar, except less toned.

  16. MCraw says:

One thing you’re not taking into account w Bey and her pregnancy is that she’s tall. That linked-to article says she should have blown up like Jessica Simpson because Simpson is a curvy girl like Bey. First of all, Jessica Simpson treats her body like a dumpster and said she would enjoy her pregnancy and that was obvious. I seriously doubt Beyoncé had the same pregnancy diet she did. Secondly, B has 5-6 inches on Jessica’s 5’1″ frame.

Whatever happened in this pregnancy, no one here is a good enough investigator to prove her wrong. The rumor is silly. Give it up.

    • MorticiansDoItDeader says:

She’s not that tall. I am the same height. Currently 30 weeks pregnant (and 160 lbs) and I look like a bloated pufferfish. I don’t treat my body “like a dumpster” either and I continue to work out 4 days a week for 1 1/2 hours a day (1 hour cardio 30 minutes weight training). I’m not going easy either (I leg press 125 lbs and work just as intensely on the elliptical machine as many of the people around me). I just don’t believe this woman was 35 lbs heavier than I am now when she gave birth, without looking a bloated mess.

    • Marigold says:

Eh. I’m an inch taller than Beyoncé and I weigh a few pounds less (and I was pregnant from April ’12-January ’13) and she looks a good 10-15lb heavier than me (and she is more toned and muscular, which would add it’s own weight). Look, I like her enough so I’m not trying to trash her but keeping it real-this is what celebrities do. They shave a little off their weight and pile a little on in height and shave a little off in age and on and on and on. It’s always a really bad idea to talk numbers when you talk weight. She’s seeing the repercussions of that in this thread.

      • lilkunta says:

marigold: bk isnt 5’2”. that i kim kartrashian and jessica simpson.
        bk is t lest 5’6”.

    • Thinkaboutit says:

She is NOT tall. I don’t care what any website says, I stood as close to her as I am to the phone in my hand and she’s under 5’2″ in heels (my height) and doll – like. This was pre – baby so she may be heavier but she’s certainly not taller now. I’m actually surprised that she weighs as much as she does. I weigh less but her body looks much fitter than mine even her relativelt heavier lower body.

      • Marigold says:

Well, I’m either an inch or 4 taller than her depending on who you talk to, I guess. Between her toned areas and her width, she definitely weighs more than me. Don’t get me wrong-height can pack some pounds but so can hips and ass, which she has and I don’t (sadly).

      • june says:

No way Beyonce is 5″2 . There are photos of her standing next to Goop 5″9 and Rihanna 5″8. They are never towering over her and they are wearing heels too.

  17. Kate says:

It would be nice if celebrities would also give credit to their chef and personal trainer for helping them with the pregnancy weight

    • Tiffany27 says:

MFTE. At least acknowledge you’re in a place of a privilege therefore you can workout for 2 hours a day and your chef can ensure your meals stay at 1600 calories a day.

    • mia girl says:

I’m no fan of Beyonce, but I know her trainer and she actually has multiple times in the past given credit to her trainer, and by name, Marco Borges. JayZ wrote the forward to Marco’s book.

  18. PHD gossip says:

I believe she gained 10 pounds at the time to give credence to her “pillow pregnancy”. That is the weight she is talking about losing – but she is lying through her teeth.
She is stupid to bring it up because it just starts us all going on and on again about how she faked her pregnancy.
Sheesh – No one in her life to tell truth to power, I guess.

  19. wonderwoman21 says:

Dont believe she was actually pregnant

  20. hadleyb says:

Why do women insist on adding the weight they were before giving birth not after? Get your weight they day or 2 after your birth then tell me what you had to lose.

    • Lex says:

It doesn’t really matter surely… She’d not be hugely different – depending how big the baby was minus a few pounds of fluids that come gushing out

  21. Al says:

Eh, she’s basically like that Fit Mom person.
Talk to me after you have 3 kids and are closer to 40 than 30, till then, your waist and fanny ration does not empower me.

  22. Tazina says:

I’m not so dumb as to think she faked a pregnancy but she’s certainly into herself. I mean who else talks about themselves as much as she does. But then again, she’s made it so it’s working.

    • NerdMomma says:

Aw I find your comment insulting! No one here is dumb for thinking Beyonce faked her pregnancy. She gave us a lot to work with, with her folding belly and some of the odd things she says. I have no doubt she is a loving mother, no matter how her baby came into the world. But I don’t think she was pregnant, and don’t call me dumb please and thank you.

  23. PunkyMomma says:

No way she hit 195 lbs.

  24. GiGi says:

She definitely has some fuzzy math, I think. I’m 5’7 and started both my pregnancies at 130. I gained 40 lbs with each, so delivered at 170 and I was a HOUSE. Like, couldn’t fit into anything, big. There’s no way I was hopping up into SUVs like Bey. And I’m supposed to believe she had 65lbs of pregnancy weight? I just don’t buy it. It *appeared* that she gained a small amount of weight – I’d have guessed it at less than 30lbs.

ETA – At the time of both pregnancies I was still dancing professionally and performed until I was 6mos with both. So I’d assume my fitness level at that time to be similar to Beyonce’s, further adding to my disbelief that a woman who toured while pregnant really got up to 195.

    • MorticiansDoItDeader says:

I agree. I’m the same height and will probably be 170 when I give birth to my third 😩
I will work out until the day I give birth, but I still look like a bloated pufferfish

      • GiGi says:

        Aw! Baby time 🙂

I agree. I was in killer shape but I was still just huge. My kids were 9lbs, lol!

I just fail to see that “perfectionist” Beyonce was content to sit back and pack it on. Her stories are always bizarre to me.

      • Lady D says:

Congrats on your baby Morts. Do you know what you’re having?

      • MorticiansDoItDeader says:

@ladyd, yes! I’m having a little girl (and am already a proud mom to two great little boys). They are so excited. They want to name her “Nickel.” Haha.

      • Kate says:

Morts, that’s great your boys are excited. Maybe her nickname can be Nickel. That’s so sweet of them.

    • RN says:

This is my thought precisely. I’m 5’9″ and started my first pregnancy at 142 lbs. I was in phenomenal shape prior to getting pregnant – runner, lifted weights, did Bikram yoga every day, etc., plus worked 12 hour shifts on a trauma unit. I ended my pregnancy 50 lbs heavier. There was NO WAY I was wearing heels and hopping nimbly in and out of SUVs. Frankly, I waddled. Now, I know that every woman carries differently. However, she insults our intelligence when she claims to have gained 65 lbs and lost it all. She would NOT have been able to move the way she did if she truly did gain that weight. I really wish she would just STFU about this and move on.

      • GByeGirl says:

Plus, she was papped staying out all night and dancing on multiple occasions late in her “pregnancy”.

  25. MorticiansDoItDeader says:

I’m bey’s height, currently 160, and 10 weeks away from my due date 😣 and I look like a bloated puffer fish. If this woman weighed 195 at birth she would have looked horrible in those postpartum photos. However, her face and arms looked pretty much the same to me!

  26. Sam says:

She does know that its possible to be fat and “sexual” right? There are plenty of 200 pound women out there who are plenty hot and attractive and have men who want them. She isn’t saying anything particularly new. You don’t need a particular body type to be sexual or attractive. Sexuality comes from the brain and how you hold yourself, not a number or any particular body type.

    • Shauna says:

Thank you! I used to weigh 250 and looked damn hot. It’s all confidence. Beyoncé is spreading a dangerous belief to young women.

  27. pp says:

She wouldnt know sex if it poked her in the nose with a hard-on. I just dont see the kinky in her.

  28. Quinn says:

Please, 2014…make this woman go away….

  29. Nev says:

    ENOUGH!!!!

  30. Nicole says:

Look, all of you can Bey hate if you wish, but you should all be aware that that shitty documentary “Life is but a Dream” displays her nude and in her third trimester. It would behoove you to see it.

    • PHD gossip says:

Did you ever hear of photoshop and editing rooms? Makes me believe it was a fake pregnancy even more – the fact that she had to release a “movie” about it.
WILL NEVER EVER BELIEVE SHE WAS PREGNANT.

    • whatwhatnot says:

And that picture was a silhouette behind a screen. I could strap on a prosthetic belly, throw a wrap around skirt and cover my boobs and hide behind a screen to take a silhouette shot and make it look like I was pregnant too. Ever see the prosthetic they had Sofia Vergara wear when her character on Modern Family was pregnant and in real life Sofia’s stomach was flatter than ever????

    • Frenzy says:

I’m not a hater but I never believed that she was pregnant too. If you’re going to show a photo/video of your pregnant self to prove the naysayers wrong, why show it in an obscure and grainy/blurry way? Was was her face shadowed? And when she told Oprah that “being pregnant was very much like falling in love” she lost me!

  31. Neffie says:

Most women would say ‘when i had my baby’ right? when she says when i ‘gave birth’ it sounds so disconnecting or maybe i am just reading too much into in because we all have our suspicions about it.

    • Bodhi says:

      I’ve used both interchangeably

    • Lex says:

Haha at the time, she said she was in labour for ‘many hours’ whereas nearly ever single other pregnant woman ever knows exactly how many hours and seconds that damn thing took to come out. When all you have to think about is the pain, you count every minute.

  32. Gabrielle says:

I have to say something about all these celebs who show off post-baby bodies, Kim K., Beyonce and even FitMom. I do find it empowering and inspirational.
I just had a baby 3 months ago. I had always been thin and in good shape. I gained 37 lbs while pregnant but it looked crazy huge on me because I am small and all the weight was right in front of me. Everywhere I went from the point where I was 6 months pregnant and after, I could not go out in public without everybody saying, “wow, you’re huge.” I felt like a freak and I would look at these celebs and say, “I’m gonna get my body back too.” While I was on maternity leave I took walks with my stroller everyday and did workout video while my baby was napping or playing on his playmat. My diet was eating over the sink quickly while my baby was crying and cutting out dairy because I’m nursing and it bothers him. I’m now back to pre-baby weight and it has only been 3 months since I gave birth but it’s been a year since I felt like myself. So wearing sexy things and being thin again to me feels amazing. We need to stop judging women for just wanting to feel good about themselves and be sexy again. Pregnancy is hard and being a mom is wonderful but can make you feel like you’re no longer the woman you once were. Being happy and feeling beautiful is good for the mother, the marriage and the family.

    • RN says:

I don’t disagree with anything that you’ve written. Becoming a mom is hard, in many ways. The problem I have with Beyonce’s message is that she keeps equating sexy with weight loss. Sexy is what happens between your ears, not necessarily what’s going on with your body. I used to have a roommate who was a model. She was gorgeous and yet she never felt good about herself or felt sexy.

Your weight is not who you are. It shouldn’t define you or tell you if you can or cannot be physically intimate with another person. If you needed to lose the weight to feel grounded again, then I don’t have a problem with that. However, that’s not every mother’s number one concern, and Beyonce simply cannot shut up about this. Her job requires her to have a certain appearance, and that’s not true for most of us. She also has a support network in place that we can only dream about. I certainly didn’t go to the gym after working 12 hours, pumping breast milk three times during my shift, and coming home to scarf down a quick dinner and feed the baby before the alarm rang at 5 am to do it all over again. She just seems completely disconnected from how most women actually handle being a mother.

    • FingerBinger says:

Those celebrity post baby bodies consists of personal trainers, personal chefs, expensive organic foods, expensive gym memberships, and in some cases lipo. Those articles only serve to make regular/normal women with normal/regular bodies feel bad, there’s nothing remotely uplifting about them.

    • Chloe says:

First of congrats on the baby and weight loss, I’m sure it wasn’t easy taking care of a newborn and trying to lose weight. I’m tired of these woman lying about weight loss, it’s quite obvious with Kim K that any photo or video her or anyone associated with her puts out there is photoshopped and when she’s seen out and about she is probably wearing three layers of spanx and who knows what type of surgeries she had to help with the weight loss, Beyonce is no different or better (whether she was really pregnant or not), I felt the whole Vegan diet was just them trying to lose some weight quickly, everything about this couple seems like it’s staged.

  35. davidbowie says:

She’s 135 lb. now?!? Yes and I’ll be sworn in as the new president in a few weeks.

  36. whatwhatnot says:

65 lbs my ass, literally. I’m 5’8″ and gained 45lbs during my pregnancy, starting at 130lbs and towards the end I still looked like a bloated mess, even though I was active and drank plenty of water.
And I know I definitely wouldn’t have been able to have hopped face forward into an SUV @ 9 months
pregnant (that vid was about a week before she gave birth) IN STILLETOS with an extra 65lbs of pregnancy weight on my body. I’m calling her bluff on this.
Also why does she think being “sexual” is all that particularly empowering? I mean as somone above me commented, sexual comes in many different body shapes and forms and anyone can thrust their sexuality in people’s faces for attention. I’d rather hear about how empowering it is to run your own business and have the last say on all your endeavors and what it means to be a female mogul in the industry.

    • anon33 says:

But, MrsBPitt don’t you know that you should be getting up at 4 to squeeze in your workouts????? Do you not care about yourself at all???

Man ppl here really don’t like Beyonce! The shade in this comment section is life giving. LOL. I have nothing to add ‘cept she has a banging bod I would love to look like that. Oh and I think that the 130 figure sound a smidge low too.

  39. Abbicci says:

I can get behind her ‘still live for yourself’ statement. I wish more public figures would talk about still being a complete person as well as a mother ( side eye to you, Drew Barrymore).

I just wish she were more articulate. Sadly, this is what happens when, as a child, you are only allowed to develop one aspect of who you are. Her education was limited because her family focused solely on her career. Since everything was always about her , she doesn’t know how to interact with the world any other way.

Imagine the person she could be if she took a woman’s studies class or any classes that were not about her.

    • TheOneandOnlyOnly says:

Good suggestion but it would never happen; lets not forget that her success is also because a dumbed down celebrity obsessed media treats this moron like she’s God’s gift to humanity, and they are probably paid off to not report the real backstory on her “career” and all it involved.

      • Abbicci says:

Good point. Sadly, women are really only allowed a few narratives in celebrity media. Body, Boyfriend/Husband and Babies. You have to be fighting over a man, desperate for a man, married/dating a douche, making babies, having ( or not) having it all or talking about how you look and how much you weigh.

I still think so many celebrities say such stupid things not just because they are stupid but they starve themselves so much their brains don’t have the nutrients to function properly.

I do think the woman is mad talented and she busts her ass to put on a great performance. But I liked her and Jay both much better when they didn’t always talk about themselves, before they started selling themselves and crap at Barney’s. They might be more talented but they still sell and shill just like a Kardashian. I miss the days like when they got married and it wasn’t a media blitz.

Juicy stuff, right? It’s just unfortunate that a woman as influential as this continues to lie, manipulate and condescend.

  42. MichelleSF says:

Okay- she seriously thinks we are all idiots. I put on 65 pounds with my first pregnancy and it was obvious! I looked HUGE, puffy, and when you gain that much you are never “all/just belly”… I developed hypothyroidism during pregnancy and gave in to nearly every craving and generally laid on my ass all the time towards the end. Gaining 65 pounds doesn’t just happen on it’s own, I will fully admit that. This chick never got big and was dancing around in high heels! On top of that NO stretch marks with that much weight gain in 8-9 months? I guess I’m just a freak.

    • whatwhatnot says:

Totally agree with your point. 65lbs of pregnancy weight within an 8-9 month span is considered to be outside their recommended weight gain bracket by any obgyn and usually comes accompanied by some type of prenatal issues like gestational diabetes and preeclampsia, etc. And the stretch matks and loose skin it leaves wouldn’t disappear over night. If she “did” really gain all that weight (side-eye) she must have done a lot of cosmetic work to snap back as quick as she did.

  43. d b says:

Meh. I wish she wouldn’t frame “getting your body” back in such a negative way, as through giving birth is this terrible thing and you’re not sexy anymore unless you fight tooth and nail. To her, focusing on anyone other than herself and her career, obviously feels like she’s totally lost her identiity. It’s so irritating.

Also, need it be said? This is all coming from a woman who in addition to mess therapy has an army of nannies and chefs and coaches to spend hours each day to get her body “back”

  44. shellybean says:

If you don’t lose your pregnancy weight, you still have your body. It didn’t go anywhere. You can still be sexy and fun and have dreams and live for yourself with that weight or without it. Your body is wonderful because you use it to work, to love, to give, to help others, to carry life. Your body is always yours.. She was never pregnant, but her body always reminded me of a dancing hippo.
Did you see photos from her last tour when she wore those short little boots, which only
Accentuated her short elephant trunk legs.
And the documentary was a joke, it never showed her being pregnant,
She has vocabuary of a ten year old and talks like her mouth is full of marbles.

  55. zana says:

Beyonce is upset that KK and Kanye pulled it better the fake pragnancy than her. I think KK faked it too.

  56. Bets says:

    Shut Up Beyoncé!!!!

  57. ataylor says:

    Bitch please.

  58. babythestarsshinebrite says:

Oh ‘Yonce, when will you stfu? For a split second I wanted to like you when you sang to that young lady for “Make a Wish” purposes; you really made her SO happy, sweet. But you are so narcistic that I can’t even read your interviews, watch your videos, or listen to your music. You put way too much on it, your importance that is. It’s a LOT gross. What you and your fans fail to recognize is your success is a result of some serious training since you were like six y.o. So you’re not a failure, but I can think of a few people who could easily replace you: Shakira, JLo & (haha) Kim Kardashian. You are UN-RELATABLE, tho. I MISS AALIYAH! I’m going to play some Sade now.

    • dontbuyit says:

Sade, her beautiful voice pe_’s over Bey. I could listen to Sade all day, I couldn’t to B’s. I agree that anyone with a decent voice and trained in dancing could be the next B. Great artists like Sade, Whitney, Grace Jones and Adele are natural, they are irreplaceable. All but Adele, I grew to appreciate through listening to my mom’s old records when I was young. They are all phenomenal in their unique way, unfortunately as talented as a singer bey is, I don’t feel the same about her. She is pretty much is the same as Jlo, except B can sing. They’re both a pop act with no originality and rumored to be unlikable diva’s behind the scenes.

  59. whatdoino says:

Shame, these bad feelings about Beyonce. She may well have broght them on ,herself, dnk. She did appear to fake her pregnancy in that interview. no doubt about that but what I came in to say is that in no way can Miley be put in the same class as Beyonce but….I do think B is lowering herself lately. Thats a shame. She is a beautiful, sexual women. It already shows in everything she does, wears, just ‘is’ its her to be sexy. It seems like so many singers are trying to grab back a little of Miley’s attention.Miley who copied…) No need. B,too much class for that. Miley’s15 mins,up
Beyonce lost her fans trust but she still has talent. It may be that she was not trying to put anything over on her fans with a surrogate.Just maybe she wants her daughter to always believe she carried her. Whatever her reasons shes still ‘a force’ a true ‘artist’. She lost respect but others like Miley and especially Kim never earned any.

  60. Heardthat2 says:

Wow!!! Im going to take a risk of rath here and just say that Yes,Beyonce has lost much credibility here and is quickly loosing more trust every time she refers to that inflatable womb. But,in no way should Beyonce be put in the same category as Miley and Kim. Beyonce earned respect on the way up, Miley and Kim never did nor do they deserved it. Im not sure what is going on with Beyonce but Im going to give her a break here. May be she never intended to defraud her fans with that ‘pregnancy’. Maybe, just maybe, this is something very personal to her. May be she did have a surragote, for whatever reason & wants her daughter to believe she carried & delivered her.Got caught in that interview. Yes,should have left it at that. This is really getting out of control now. That women has tremendous talent maybe she needs a break. Noone knows what goes on behind closed doors. Meaning she is dealing with something and dealing with it all wrong. Fans are calling her on it. She & Jay do good, generous work so for that reason alone lets give her a break and the only problem Im having is the little bit of her I do see, lowering her standards, just a bit too much. She never needs to prove herself, she has. Just maintain it.But you are all correct, she has been getting a bit arrogant. As far as Kim is concerned I definately saw that fake pregnancy unfold and Im still not convinced that baby is theirs but who cares.Better things to spend my time, money on then giving them something to pap walk with and another multi-mil wedding like shes in line to be the next queen. OK,perhaps queen of…(fill in the blanks here) but B is just not in the same class as Miley & Kim,please…

  61. Heardthat2 says:

Oh and you never hear of nor see that evil passive aggressive ‘fame reward system’ Kanye and Kim seem to agree on. He degrades her,she degrades herself then they shop for jewelry,Kimmey happy.Miley degrades herself takes herself shopping(perhaps after “checking in with homie,Kayne” ) comes back with bags of Chanel all set out, displayed just for ‘the fans’. What do you see with Beyonce and Jays, free time.Family, love, baby. That is what I would want to picture as B, as not comparing her to Kim,Miley. No way, shape nor form. Not in that class, not in this life.

  62. But Why says:

i pray that her 15 minutes are up in 2014…Amen!

  63. Amsterdamned says:

Why aren’t her 15 minutes up, yet, damned.

  64. Mew says:

I hate it when women go all “…to get my body back”. That’s like saying pregnancy is such a b*tch it steals bodies and then you have to do something special to get it back, like kill your nemesis or something. You always had your body. Stop this BS talk on “getting body back”. Your baby is not some body snatcher.

  65. JJ says:

not a good comparison with the middle to low class women who cannot afford chefs, personal trainers and nannies, let alone, take months off of work to get back in shame. Not fair. These celebrities have the resources so have no excuse….

  66. dorothy says:

No one believes she was pregnant. Why continue the farce?

  67. rudy says:

Such a lier and such a shame. If she wants to keep this birth private, why bash us over the head over and over about her non-pregnant body getting back in shape.

I understand the fans that say it is her business and her business to lie, but then to keep shoving the same LIE down our mouth over and over and over? I cannot like this woman no matter how much my girl likes her music. She is LYING.

For all of you non-believers, tell me this – a woman like Beyonce who is always always showing us her body, maybe showed her child bearing belly once or twice and never ever bare. Where is that bare pregnant belly? Where are the photos of it growing by the month? Where? Where are the cool pregnancy clothes. Look at all the other pregnant celebrites, even the ones that hide from the press. There were NO pictures of the pregnant Beyonce. Not one.

If her past holds grief about miscarriage, then keeping her pregnancy private is very understandable. But she did not do that. She just lied. Can you tell I am angry? I HATE that this woman is lying to my child who believes Blue Ivy came out of Bey’s belly. My child who came out of another womans’ belly know there is nothing wrong with that. Nothing. Now Beyonce is teaching her that lying about surrogacy is the way to go.

  68. Mika302 says:

Wow…the women in here sound crazy!! Why is everyone’s pregnacy suppossed to be like urs? If it’s not it’s wrong!! I’m 5’3 and when I gv birth to all 3 of my girls i was 200 lbs…and my last daughter was 3 mnths premature. I lost the weight w/out surgery… And I nnow plenty of women who hv a multiple children and have NO stretch marks!! And she clearly looked big , her ankles and face looked puffy!! How would u feel if people said u weren’t pregnant. If she irks u so bad why comment on the post? I notices the comments in this website really like to put people down. It’s not fun if it becomes so nasty! I hope most of u live such perfect lives. And i I started out at 130 lbs….also after my kids I went back to 135. Also I’m sorry but if u want to get out and hv time for urself, u can after a baby. Right now i’m 145 and Bey looks way smaller than I do, her body is amazing. She may be taller than I am but I know some of my friends who u people act like u want to put her on a scale and burn her!! She looks smaller now then at the Superbowl which was almost a year ago!!!

  69. Patti Nichols says:

Cant stand this chick, never could. So full of herself. No wonder shes so tight w GP. They can sing the me me song together.

  70. louie louie says:

I said it at the time and I’ll say it again. There is no way in hell she would have turned down millions of dollars from Jenny Craig Weight Watchers Slim Fast or whoever to endorse their product as she lost the weight. AND we know they all would have thrown huge contracts at her. She didn’t because she had no weight to lose.

  71. vanass01 says:

Omg she’s looking so white. esp in that Instagram pic but in general. Is it the lighting her skin looks is looking so drastically lighter than 5 years ago.

  72. ShakenNotStirred says:

Welp, this convinced me she didn’t conceive. She’s overselling.

  73. Jenna says:

I can’t understand how this woman has fans. She is the dumbest celebrity out there, won’t allow photographers to release “non authorized” photos and her “music” has given me a headache since her destiny’s child days. Her halo song is the pinnacle of everything wrong with her music, it’s like how many times can I repeat words before people can catch on that I’m too stupid to remember lyrics. On a side note I don’t believe for a second she gave birth or that she and her husband have EVER had sex.

  74. Denise says:

That belly would have been right up in our faces constantly if she’d had a baby in it.

Is she trying to tell us she’s 130lbs? At her height with her body shape, she’s probably 150lbs when she’s at her most fit. Muscle tone + her height/build. She’d be underweight at 130, but whatever. She’s flawless, you know.

  75. jferber says:

I totally enjoyed all these comments. Celebitches, you are the best and smartest people on the internet, period. I always have such a good time reading this site. Priceless.

    • jilly says:

And I didn’t. As a site that is so supportive of women and genuinely seems to avoid being judgmental, I am disappointed by the sheer amount of hate that Bey attracts here. I would prefer to invest my energies in being more supportive of her. Of course we should criticize her when she does stupid things such as using that Challenger clip. But overall I would prefer to err on the side of supporting this woman’s achievements. There is no one like Queen Bey. Heck Miley and her crusty tongue get more support here. I don’t get it.

  76. lilkunta says:

Who takes their fiance to strip club? [RED] THE DAY THEY GET ENGAGED[/RED]
Was it to tell him enjoy it 1 last time?

    Or are they swingers & they were looking for a 3rd/4th/5th s e x partner ?

  77. yoyo says:

The woman is SUCH an exhibitionist that you KNOW that had she really been pregnant she would have pulled a Demi Moore and have herself buck naked on every darn cover of every single magazine showing off that mega tummy.

If she wasn’t such an exhibitionist, always on stage in the skimpiest of skimpy outfits it would not be so obvious. The very fact that she didn’t whore out her belly proves she never was pregnant. As others hvae sais there are no clear shots or video of herself actually properly pregnant (I’m not talking about having a bloated stomach, I mean pregnant like a normal human being).

what I find demented in all of this is why lie? In hollywood everyone and their Mother use surrogates, babies over there a commodities, you can use surrogates, make them to your own specs or just adopt every shape , size whatever. You decide what you want, there’s always some Holywood surrogacy or adoption “agency” that can get that going for you. And being you are mega rich you won’t have to go for the enslaved homeless woman turned into a breeding cow, nope you can go for the premium incubator: american bred! Woohoo! i’m not exagerating, here’s a documentary called “Google Baby” about the “democratization” of surrogacy in the US, just make sure you have a pillow to punch and a couple boxes of tissues. This thing traumatized me for a while but people need to know the reality: http://youtu.be/pQGlAM0iWFM

  78. Lauraq says:

I have no problem with Bey flaunting her sexuality or singing songs about sex, except that when she first came out she was all about slut-shaming and talking about how girls needed to put more clothes on, and how girls who sang about sex were trampy. So it’s a little BS for her to be talking about not being ashamed about her sexuality after she puts out an album chock-full of blatantly sexual lyrics.

  79. Karolina says:

Do not believe. For a woman who dances practically in underwear and always has the staged bikini pap shots, there is not a single picture of her bare belly while pregnant. I know there were some blurry pictures that showed her in a white bikini supposedly at 3 months, but come on, every woman looks like that after a good meal. Also those pics looked shopped, who has rips on the middle of their stomach? Also, her “bump” always looked super unnatural and weird. She gained no weight and was just at the very end of her “pregnancy” a little bit puffy in the face.

  80. Taylor says:

Hello All, new poster here. Just wanted to add that there was also video footage of B getting into a SUV during her late stage of pregnancy and she just jumped into the back of the car, going forward not back. It was so obvious that she was not pregnant. Total evidence was that fold in her dress when she went to sit down, that was another giveaway that she wasn’t pregnant! Her not gaining weight anywhere or looking pregnant didn’t fool any of us. I do not believe anything that comes out of her mouth. I think a huge factor of why she used a surrogate was to be sure that Jay Z didn’t cheat on her. I am sure that she was worried that if she carried the baby, he would not find her “sexy” cause we all know how “sexy” she is and how attracted he is to her, etc. I am sure he didn’t want her pregnant either, was worried she would gain weight and not be his sexy lady. This woman is awful, such a narcissistic egomaniac and a huge liar. Look at how hard she tries to edit all the ugly pictures taken of her and hires people to photoshop pics of her……Just gross!
