42 is old no matter how many women do it. I have friends who are honest; they say while glad they could have children at 40+ that it is more exhausting to be an older mom. (Of course no one admits this in Hollywood) Those who could compare having had children in their 20′s and 40′s admit it was physically harder to do as much of the running up down, playground, playdate things that they had the energy to do with their first children, many stated those later babies were forced to endure a more sedate upbringing lol. I think Halle has a good chance for another baby, she has taken care of herself and has the right situation to offset being in her 40′s
No matter how good you might look your body knows how long its been here; at 40 you’re 2 generations in whether you have had a baby or not.lol

Medically 42 is very much AMA (Advanced Maternal Age). After 35 yo is considered AMA. Also, not everyone gets a CVS or Amnio when they are AMA. Either way she will make another super cute baby!!

Irm, 42 really IS advanced maternal age. It is becoming more common, so it seems like it isn’t…but it is still older than ideal for having a baby. It’s not stress and worry that cause the problems, as you imply. It is the physiological changes that a woman’s body goes through once she gets past around age 35. This is why risks for birth defects go up so dramatically and why pregnancies in older moms are watched so much more carefully.

I don’t think there is a thing in the world wrong with a woman in her 40s giving birth, so don’t bash me. I’m just pointing out that a 22 year old body is different than a 42 year old body, and those differences are very real and must be accounted for when considering a pregnancy.

Good luck to them! I knew Gabriel would want more than one kid. Halle is already 42 so better get cracking on the second kid considering she has diabetes and there’s health concerns the older she gets. Then again maybe she was smart when she was much younger and froze some eggs.
