OH NOES. Kerry Washington was on a fashion high a few years ago, when she literally could do no wrong. Every time she stepped onto a red carpet, she owned it. Nowadays? Not so much. I think it was that Marchesa dress she wore at the Emmys – that was the beginning of the end. I liked her Golden Globes dress, but many of you hated it, so I have no idea what you’ll think of her custom Prada at the SAG Awards last night. I hate it. I do not hate her at all, so I can’t believe that this was her idea. I think this was something that she was talked into, because the whole look seems uncomfortable and she did not strut around the red carpet like usual, almost as if she knew this wasn’t the best look.
What are the thoughts – in general – on exposing the “baby bump” on a red carpet? I don’t think I would have minded if this had been a movie premiere or something. But it feels sketchy for an awards show. And appropriate maternitywear aside – would we have liked the idea of a “fancy belly shirt” on a red carpet anyway?
More TV girls… Kaley Cuoco (or Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, as that’s her name now) wore this icy Vera Wang. I don’t hate it, actually. It looks perfectly appropriate for a TV Girl at an awards show. What she needs to work on: making pleasant faces on the red carpet. She stomps around, either smirking or cutting her eyes at people.
Mindy Kaling in navy David Meister. If you’ve read Mindy’s book, she devotes some time to the idea that “average-sized” women in Hollywood are forced into navy clothes again and again. She made it sound like she was very anti-navy, which is fine except that she usually wears unflattering clothes on the red carpet and I kind of wonder if she really knows what looks good on her body in general. So I was surprised to see her in this sophisticated, flattering navy gown. She looked great, and I loved her Sex Hair too.
And here’s the most popular woman in TV (seriously), NCIS’s Pauley Perrette. The gown is blah, I hate the bangs, but she’s keeping it real I guess.

Kaiser nailed it with the smirking. What’s with that pulled face all the time??? Try a smile. And someone needs to talk to her about her eyeshadow. Her eyes just disappear under all that heavy eye makeup. As in, it looks like someone took a pen and scratched out her eyes in those photos.

God Kerri looked hideous. I mean beautiful face/make up yes but lately she looks like she’s been dressing in the dark.
Also, while showing off bare baby bumps in public may be cool for some people, it’s seems way to private for me to be on board. Showing family/friends is one thing, but at a red carpet awards show with paparazzi? Yes, tacky.
I hate Scandal (such a dumb show) but Kerry is gorgeous and talented and I hope to see her in better projects in the future.
I loved how Kerry looked. I thought it was a cute way to dress with her pregnancy. Way better than a tube dress or something that showed her belly button. It looked like something Carrie Bradshaw would have worn. Cute and fashion forward.
Love Mindy’s skin and the dress, but the hair is wrong. I love it when she puts it up. Someone should have told Pauley not to go out in that outfit. Love Kaley, but yeah, she smirks a lot. A lot. Love the dress though.

The thing that bothers me the most about Kerry’s look is the matching pink lipstick. The outfit is nice, I like that her prenancy doesn’t stop her from experimenting and taking fashion risks.

I hated the ribbon around her head the most. I’m not crazy about the outfit, but I feel like it makes her look heavy and not In a pregnant way. The pink was really pretty on her skin. But the awkward length makes her look stumpy. I still love her and I’m always interested in what she’s going to wear. She always does interesting things.
How beautiful is Mindy? Perfect dress, hair and make up. I love her.

Agree – Kerry’s look is a huge miss! The top is fugly, the skirt SHOULD have been a different fabric, and belly baring between two large pieces of toast just doesn’t work.

See, I am not against a peeksie at the belly, but I don’t like this dress. I think if the skirt were fitted and the top gave that little peek – maybe. I don’t know. It’s fail for me. She looked so pretty the other day, in this she looks bigger and loses her pregnant form.

I have to admit that I enjoy watching Navy CIS – I usually hate all the CISseries. Love Pauley’s role.
She seriously must bathe in the blood of virgins every night. She looks – even outside of her NCIS costumes, which are deliberately youthful – like she’s in her twenties.
I don’t think it’s tacky to show off a bump, but this dress just seems to swallow it. Something about the positioning of the waistband and the skirt being black makes her look frumpy rather than preggers.
Mindy looks good, but as a group, the TV girls didn’t bring it. Kerry … I …. no words.
Kerry Washington doesn’t look so bad in the second and third pictures. In the first one the outfit does not look flattering on her.
Kaley needs to work on her red carpet faces. Smug is not a flattering look on her.
Mindy looks good and she knows it. I love that color on her and the gold bangle looks beautiful on her skin. But if her bangle matched the metal on her purse, her earrings and/or her rope-belt that would have hit it out of the park.
Mindy’s dress is not at all flattering, IMO. It is cutting her underarms in a terrible way that makes her armpits look flabby. Like she needs to tuck the flabs in. I’m sure a better fitted dress would not have done this to her. Also the cut paired with the skinny belt makes her look wider than I think she actually is.
There are plenty of ways to style Mindy’s figure, she has great curves in all the right places. This dress does not do her justice.
I think Mindy wears clothes that are too small for her. I don’t think she’s in denial about her curves, but I DO think she’s in denial about what size she wears. Before anyone yells at me, I’m not trying to fat shame because I think she’s beautiful and has gorgeous curves, I just think she should embrace her body as it is.
I wonder more if it’s not about designers sending her smaller sizes. She doesn’t have a waist which is difficult on designer gowns and She’s a size 8 which is soooo tubby in hollyweird or you know, most of Midwestern girls like myself – our goal size.
I love Kerry’s skirt and Mindy’s dress. I don’t know why Mindy would complain about wearing navy. It is a gorgeous color! Most of the clothes in my wardrobe is navy, and everything that i wear constantly or love dearly are navy. As you can tell, it is my favorite color!

I don’t think Kerry’s outfit is inappropriate, it just looks tight and uncomfrontable. I remember my grandma telling me that back in the day pregnant women used to wear an absurd amount of clothing to cover up their pregnancy. Like it’s a dirty secret. Anyway, I have no problems with the outfit as long as she feels good in it.

I liked Kaley’s dress. but the eye makeup is all wrong for her. She has what looks like round eyes. that heavy eye makeup looks terrible. And even more so when I saw here on TV giving her “I’m and actor line” at the beginning.

I’m not offended by the concept of a crop top on a pregnant woman — and Kerry is still at that mid-pregnancy sweet spot where her belly is a cute little accessory. However, this look just doesn’t work aesthetically — you can take the crop top out of 1986, but you can’t take 1986 out of the crop top.
I so dislike Kerry’s outfit. And you can’t see in these pictures, but the top was open in the back so her black bra was showing. Nope!

OMG!!! Thank you God! On like countless sites I’ve been seeing people talking about how much they love Kerry and how she’s such a risk taker, I was like uhn?! Shows that when you like someone you’re automatically really bias, cause if this was Kim K she would have dragged all over the world and back for this mess. This is such a terrible terrible dress, and the fact that you could see her bra from the back just killed any last remaining iota of “cute” it had. The skirt is way too tight, you can even see the redness on her belly this is a no on so many levels. I remember Halle’s black dress with the netting at the back, Beyonce’s brown dress with the side sequins, those are cute Belly showing outfits not this mess.

Yep, from top to bottom Kerry’s look was atrocious. With her bra showing in the back it looked like a bedazzled hospital gown or something they gave up fitting entirely. So sloppy. I was wondering if I was the only one noticing the fabric marks on her belly–that skirt looks terribly uncomfortable. If we weren’t barely into 2014 I would easily name this worst look of the year. Hated, hated, hated it.

Kerry’s look is a NO even if she wasn’t pregnant. Mindy’s dress evokes Greek goddess and also reflects “guy pretty” not just “girl pretty”. Who is kaley? Someone should have told her that she wasn’t attending a wedding as a bridesmaid. I don’t know who pauley is, but her dress looks vintage from the early 90s and not in a good way, bless her goth heart.

Is it just me or does Kaley ALWAYS have a problem finding a dress that works with her wide shoulders? I think she needs to give up the strapless dresses. Particularly ones that flatten/ pull down her girls.
She’s a pretty girl. She just needs to find a style that works for her body; she doesn’t have a delicate, feminine build, so why is she pretending she does?
Also, of course she is wearing too much make-up and her expression/pose looks like the “what I actually look like” part of a meme. The sexy/seductive/mysterious look she seems to be aiming for is not happening.

I think Kaley tries to be sexy/sultry on the red carpet and it comes off as a mean, bored face. Look she’s posing so hard in the one pic she’s messing up the sash on her dress.

I like Kaley’s dress, not her look. Im sorry but Mindy’s dress is way too small, not a good look. While Im talking, The Big Baby Theory is not good anymore. They’ve gone through all the gags possible. I used to love that show, but they all look too old for the shenanigans they pull. Kaley too.
She would have looks so great in the dress that Cate Blanchett wore. I didn’t like it on Cate. But it would have looked wonderful on a pregnant woman.
The real issue with Kerry’s dress was that it had slits up to the armpit, and it was backless. But you could see her black bra strap.

I actually like that Kerry dares to bare her belly with this top and skirt. I think it fits her body well, and she looks comfortable. It may not be appropriate for an award show, but I think she pulled it off well. I would take away that offending hair ribbon and substitute a nude lip for that pink, though.
