Because that court saw way too much shenanigans pulled by the stars lately.

I always have an healthy dose of doubts everytime a star is evolved. Do anyone buy the act of Madonna in Africa? So why should I be gratefull than Alec Baldwin spend some pocket change over a soldier that might never see the interiors of an university?

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. People complain that celebrities don’t do enough with their stardom, and when they do something good, their motives are questioned. You can’t win in the court of public opinion.

It is nice to see some of this generosity here at home as well.

Yes, he has said some pretty negative things in the press, but in the end he did step up to the plate which few celebrities have done and enhanced the life of someone here in the states who can build a better life.

I still have the smell of bull$h!t stuck in my nose about that one. Why the public show? Why all the publicity? It kinda sound like a media stunt for me.

Let see it that way: how much cost an education at the university in the U.S.? something like 50K$? For that price, he got Millions in publicity.

If he was really interested in the wellfare of the soldier, I think Mr. Baldwin would had made de donation in a more private manner.
