Vivian Brady & Harper Beckham hang (separately) with their parents: adorable?

wenn21069204

The photo agencies were full of baby photos this morning, so I thought, “Hey, why not put some adorable babies in the same post?” This is not a “who’s the cutest baby?” thing because my God, they’re just babies and seriously, both Harper Beckham and Vivian Brady are rather gorgeous baby girls.

Vivian Brady was photographed with her mom Gisele Bundchen at LAX. Gisele posts photos of Vivian on her Instagram often enough, although I feel like this is one of the first times we’re really getting a good look at Vivian’s face. She’s gorgeous! She looks like a really beautiful blend of her parents too. At first I only saw Tom Brady in that face, but there’s some Gisele in there too. Plus, Viv looks like such a happy baby.

Meanwhile, Harper Beckham was photographed with her dad and her brothers in NYC. I love her expression. Like, “Look at me, if you must, but it shall all come to dust in the end.” This is the face of a little girl who is the family princess, I’m sure. With three big brothers and a doting mother and father? Of course she’s a princess. AND HER COAT. Do they make that coat for adults? Because I want it.

    • Anonny says:

Harper and Becks should be the default photo of that family. Sooo much better than Victoria and Becks.

  2. Belle Epoch says:

    Harper is scrumptious

  3. Renee says:

I saw Gisele first in the Brady baby’s face…it’s the mouth.

Harper Seven KILLS me, she just is SO CUTE!!!!! That is all.

  4. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Both babies are equally just adorable, and I’m not pitting them against each other, but I think I might just cry, Harper’s little coat and shoes are so cute.

    Cute babies!!

  7. MrsBPitt says:

They are both adorable! I saw the pics of Vivian on another website and noted that a lot of people also thought she looked like her dad, but I see way more Giselle in her! Harper, truly is the apple of that family’s eye!

  8. eliza says:

Little Harper makes me happy. Sooo adorable.

    Vivienne is cute too.

  9. Dawn says:

Such beautiful children! Love them both plus Flynn Bloom! That kid is just adorable as is Sam Affleck.

  10. QQ says:

Harper has ( and will continue to have) better clothes and shoes than all of us put together!

  11. shitler says:

Harper’s all David. Vivian has her mother’s eyes

  12. Californiadreams says:

Oh my goodness, they are both darling.

  13. ncmagnolia says:

Yeah, Vivian is adorable, but H7?? She surpasses what adorable means in the English language. Will have to create a new word to describe her cuteness. This is the baby, after all, who actually made Nuclear Wintour crack a smile. 😉

  14. Faye says:

Love how in the last pic, Vivian appears to be side-eying everybody so hard. That is her mama’s daughter right there.

Harper is adorable, but I feel bad because she looks really flustered by all the cameras in her face (And of course, this makes me a hypocrite because I’m looking at pics of her. I know).

I hate to be this person, but I’m going to: Mom side-eye on Giselle. I’m not a fan of the pierced ears on babies. *ducks whatever is thrown by moms who choose to pierce their child’s ears* I feel like it’s something that should be done with the girl is old enough to choose it herself. Mutilation for decoration should be a personal decision.

    • Tswise says:

That’s a little melodramatic; it’s just cartilage and if she doesn’t want them when she gets older, the holes will grow up. It’s not like it’s circumcision or anything.

    • Harriet says:

Yeah my ears were pierced when I was very young. You don’t have to duck but I am going to write my point of view down. I have never felt it was mutilation for me, it didn’t hurt, I can’t remember it and I have never begrudged my mother for it. Some cultures like to decorate their children in this way.

Male circumcision, FGM, and tattooing can be considered ‘mutilation’ (I object to the word apart form the case of FGM, clearly) as none of them are a necessity. You may argue that circumcision is not decorative, but it is in fact, a deliberate physical mark on the body which has no significant reason other than culture. You might also argue about hygiene in terms of male circumcision, yet many people all over the world have no issues with hygiene despite having their foreskin intact. Circumcision is often not a personal decision it is cultural- because quite frankly, how many people at the age of 18 will think it’s time to get circumcised?

The point I’m making is, people choose to celebrate the human body in different ways- right from childhood to adulthood, and piercing ears is one of them. It doesn’t make anyone a terrible parent for doing it to their child. I also think the term ‘mutilate’, which refers to a violent act of causing a disfiguring injury is taking things a bit far.

    • TG says:

I agree @PrettyTarheelFan – I think it is tacky but I also try to understand that it is cultural. I actually think there are more people that do it than don’t. However, I am surprised that Saint Giselle would be one of them who does it. Everyone was asking me when I was going to pierce my daughter’s ears and I said never. Not unless she wants them.

    • PrettyTarheelFan says:

I am certainly not putting earrings on the level of FGM. However, FGM is not done for decorative purposes. There are intense, deep-seated misogynistic issues that drive FGM, and it is tied up with the obsession with purity, virginity, and fear of a woman’s sexuality, along with a whole bundle of cultural issues. (Circumcision-similar cultural issues, although without as much fear and hatred.)
Earrings just seem, to me, to be a very shallow thing to do to your infant child. There are holes in her ears that she did not choose. That is ALL I’m saying. I did NOT intend to compare them FGM, and I feel that bringing that in is really away from the point, although always a valid topic. Ultimately, earrings are debatable-FGM is not.

Also, those holes will not necessarily grow up. I have a piercing that has been unused for 10 years- I could still put a ring through it. Not going to, because it’s a cartilage piercing and I’m way too old for that look, but it’s still there.

    • LAK says:

Many cultures piece their daughters’ ears immediately after birth.

My ears were pierced after birth and I will do the same to any daughters I have. Culture demands it, and it’s wierd how I acquiesce to that part of my culture though I rail against much of it.

For the record, the studs worn after the piercings aren’t removed except to change their size as one grows, so we aren’t parading around in the latest fashions for earrings.

When I entered my teens, then I removed my studs and started wearing all manner of earrings. And I added more piercings much to my parents’s horror.

    • Belle Epoch says:

Tarheel I’m with you, although I realize there are cultural differences. When my daughter was born I found everything about her so perfect I couldn’t imagine poking holes in her. Now she has pierced ears AND a tattoo, but they were her business!

    • vylette says:

in my culture three months olds get their ears pierced regardless of gender. Then for boys at the age of two the studs are discontinued.

  16. Tswise says:

Vivian’s facial expressions are hilarious. Very cute.

  17. Alexis says:

Vivian looks just like her dad!

  18. Harriet says:

Both are beautiful children. They are young, innocent and loved by their parents. No one wins over the other for me.

  19. coolio says:

    I love vivians little earrings!

  20. bluhare says:

They’re both adorable. I’ll babysit anytime!

  21. CeltLady says:

    H7 for the win.
    She is beyond adorable.

  22. Matty Strom says:

Please not again. Harper is not automatically cute just because the parents are famous.
Unfortunately she looks like a sulking kid. Vivian on the other hand is very cute and charming. And to those of you who admire Harper´s clothes, give it up. We´re talking about a poor little girl who is used a souvenir by her mother. At least David seems to be a real father.

  23. Cecilia says:

I think both little girls are adorable. The Beckhams (IMO) have the most beautiful kids ever — and the kids are always scrubbed up & dressed so well. They all seem very well behaved.

  24. Spikey says:

There is some serious Jon Snow going on in H7’s face!

  25. A Mascarada says:

Gorgeous people with lovely little girls… *sigh* What’s not to like? Adorable.

  26. pk says:

    MY two favorite celebrity babies!

  27. vylette says:

I want a baby girl, like, now. I so hoped to have a girl during my first pregnancy. But was blessed with an adorable boy. But for my second chance I so so so badly want a girl.

  28. Wiki says:

I think Vivian isn’cute at all. Harper is a doll/
