Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie did not spend Valentine’s Day together!! Obviously, a Brangelina Conspiracy is afoot. These are photos of Angelina and oldest son Maddox Jolie-Pitt departing from LAX then arriving at Heathrow, where it looks like Brad picked them up. I didn’t even know Brad flew to London, but he was already there, so…? Conspiracy! While I think that Angelina always rocks some comfortable looking travel clothes, I’m pretty excited with her outfit here. Mostly because I’m almost positive that I have that exact same sweater and that I’m wearing it RIGHT NOW. There’s your conspiracy! If her sweater is anything like mine (and I seriously think it is), it’s super-soft, easy to clean and a must-have for winter. Also: it looks like Angelina and Maddox both brought one carry-on each and that’s it. No checked bags? Good for them. The Jolie-Pitt clan is so good at traveling light.
As for Brad, Life & Style reports that he stopped by Neil Lane to pick up something special for his three little girls:

It’s my understanding that little boys don’t care much about Valentine’s Day in general, so maybe they just got some candy or a video game or something. But little diamond heart necklaces for his girls? Adorable. Likely impractical too, at least for Shiloh and Vivienne. Viv is just too young for diamonds and Shiloh would have preferred a video game too, I’m sure. Zahara probably loved her necklace though. Hell, maybe she got all three. And now I do wonder what Brad got Angelina for V-Day. I also wonder if Brad & Angelina are in town for the BAFTAs tonight. They haven’t been to the BAFTAs together in years! God, please let them go to the BAFTAs.

I do wonder when (or if) she’s going to get her ovaries removed……she’s had a busy year. First she finished filming Maleficent, then she was going around w/William Hague, talking about Warzone Rape, in between going on UN missions and having her surgeries, then WWZ came out in the summer, and then in the fall she was scouting out locations in Hawaii and then filming—I saw pics of her with a really bad sunburn, I winced for her. I’m someone who doesn’t tan.
But I wonder when she is going to get her ovaries removed, or maybe she did this summer.
I think I would laugh if she was pregnant though, and then start to wonder about what kind of sack dresses she’ll wear then. I LOVED that green dress that she wore when she was pregnant with the twins, in Cannes. And that strapless, black, white and yellow print dress–her boobs looked amazing.
Really? Why do you wonder? I wouldn’t. I’m sure they’ll be just as stealth about that when it takes place, as the other surgery – maybe have it after another baby or 2 – if you’re getting a c-section might as well do it then. Having read about ov cancer it actually lessens your chances the more pregnancies you have. Which is why I don’t think it’s out of bounds speculating about pregnancy, a seems pretty fertile and they love them some kids. They wanted 10 as I recall. But people who seem to gleefully obsess about when she’s having major surgery to remove her ovaries (she said she was so leave it alone) I’m used to encountering on the most vile of hater boards…so excuse me if I give side eye. It’s not many women who are concerned for her well being.. they typically want the worst (birth defects, cancer, plane crashes, death of her loved ones or herself, accidents, etc) to befall her and she keeps rubbing their nose in it by living life to the fullest. Which is why a baby won’t surprise me.
I don’t see them having more biological children. It is one thing when you don’t know you have a faulty cancer gene that could be passed on to your children and then knowing. I think she and Brad are done with kids..Angie said after the twins that she had only planned for 2 pregnancies. They got twins on the 2nd. She is a known planner.
They could adopt but it seems they are kind of enjoying the new phase of parenting. The kids are older and they can go off without them for a bit. They don’t have babies anymore.
I would imagine as someone noted they already have a plan on when she will have the surgery. She is 38. She is probably monitoring everything with her doctors. So we will know when we know.
They seem to handle things well together.

Lisa2, in case you haven’t noticed most of us know someone who has cancer and quite a few of us, women who have mom’s who’ve had breast cancer or aunts or grandmas are pretty prolific. Are you advising these women to not have children? That’s pretty cold. It would also lead to practically no one having kids. If anyone has shown that thru genetic testing you can take control of your health as much as you can, it’s angelina and her kids will know this as well. Watch your karma wishing awful scenarios on beautiful movie stars you resent.

And that maybe because she knows about the gene it could influence that decision or that she said she had only planned to have 2 biological children. @Courtknee, by that logic (getting pregnant again to reduce the risks of ovarian cancer) AJ should never have bothered having a mastectomy at all. Pregnancy and breastfeeding greatly reduce the risk of both ovarian and breast cancers caused by the BRCA1 gene (I’ve been tested positive for it myself), so if she were going to get pregnant to reduce the risk of one cancer what would have been the point of the mastectomy?
Bottom line, the likelihood of her having any more pregnancies seem pretty slim by her own doing (by her own doing= optional surgical intervention).
Hopefully for Valentine’s Day Brad took her out for a high calorie meal.

I think he definitely knows how skeletal she is and he likes it. He does not like plump women. Unfortunately, angelina looks horrible at the weight he prefers women to be.

She is a naturally thin person. To me, there isn’t much difference between her body now, and her body in 2004, except for the fact that her face has thinned out, and she might weigh ten pounds less. Her fuller face, to me, has always softened the fact that she is an extremely thin woman. Her arm veins have always stood out, especially after she did Tomb Raider.

The issue I have with it is that Angelina looks horrible at his desired weight. She’s too bony. I think the way she is built…she is just meant to be a thicker woman and looks best when she has weight on those bones. @Lolol– Not disagreeing with you. This is a pattern with him, not specific to Jolie. A lot of people get upset when it’s pointed out that Jolie is so thin. My point is, she fit’s right in with his previous pattern of women. All his exes are attractive and at a flattering weight now, when photographed, but when they were with him, they were just as ultra thin as Jolie. But I do think Jolie has naturally skinny arms no matter what weight she is.
I can’t believe how big Maddox now is! He is a grown up young guy now! So handsome, too. He’ll be a heartbreaker one day, that’s for sure.

I think they are in town for the BAFTA’s. I saw a seating chart and they have Brad and Angie front and center. So I hope it is true. The last time they were at the BAFTAs was in 2009.. too long for me. I have missed them on a RC. So tonight should be great if they go; and I suspect they will.
The Brad at Heathrow pics are confusing. He is seen with his luggage or a bag too. And you can see them all walking to the car. I didn’t see any pics of Brad traveling. Some have suspected he went to France then back to London. I don’t have a clue. The last time he was see was Feb. 8th.
They are great at keeping a low profile and can move without being seen. so who knows. Maybe some savvy reporter will ask some good questions.

Heathrow is an extremely busy international airport. Paps are always rostered on because many of England’s famous celebs as well as international ones go through there.
American paps have branches internationally ie Star sells in the UK as well as other countries and their tabloid contains the same stuff in England as it does in the US and Canada and Australia.
Angelina, its fair to say, is the LEAST vain or high maintenance person. If she was vain she would dress better, hide her veins, put on weight, wear makeup which she rarely wears. She usually looks like she is just dropping the kids off at school, she is a ready-to-wear/dress and go person, she has never cared about her appearance and is very low maintenance. Lots of celebs are vain and high maintenance and live for the paps, but you’d be hard pressed to find any or many people agreeing with you that she is one. She is the most homey, dressed down low-maintenance celeb of today.

Even though @Courtknee sounds a bit tight in her response, I kind of agree with her. The article didn’t say he brought Angie a gift it says he got his girls a gift. Even if Brad and Angie once said they don’t celebrate VD they could have changed their minds by now. Maybe they only celebrate for their daughters since they are getting older now.
As for the plane they absolutely fly together sometimes. There has also been a time or two when Angie has taken Brad and some of the kids on a fly along when she has been piloting.

Take it with a grain of salt. They’re human and humans change. Who knows what they do in their private lives? I think with their hectic lives they find other ways to connect, It must be a joy to just be together when you’re apart so often and people try to invade your privacy when you do go out. This is a gossip site, not fansite. My issue with people is wishing death on one’s family and self. That’s taking it too far. On a different note I agree with VC. I don’t see a problem with people having six kids even in this modern time. The kids appear to be loved and well taken care of. Oh my God—I honestly don’t understand why people freak out about them having six kids. I come from a family of five kids, two adults. We’re not wild, crazy animals because there is more than one kid per parent.
Once the parents are outnumbered by kids, the whole parenting game changes. I have three, and just walking through an airport with them when they were little was like trying to keep a pack of puppies in an orderly line! Lol. I couldn’t imagine five, but I’ve heard that once you have three, adding to the family isn’t as big an adjustment. You just learn better juggling skills. 🙂
As for Brad and Angie, I don’t know why anyone would hate on them at this point. They seem like a tight, well adjusted, happy family in spite of their fishbowl existence. They are also global minded, and actually walk the walk when it comes to charity and activism. I have nothing but admiration. And as for her face being thinner, that’s what happens when women get older and don’t go crazy with implants and fillers. I guess seeing any sign of natural aging is shocking these days. Crazy.

It also depends on how well you parent. Not saying that we were ever little, quiet angels all the time, but we also weren’t the kind of kids that threw temper tantrums in the middle of a grocery aisle. And we have traveled extensively when we were younger (my mom was in the military, we used to live in Guam), and it was never really a huge headache–and it was just my mom and dad in charge of all five of us.
@Virgilia – Hey, VC, I come from a family of seven kids, two adults. And my parents were strict and we were well behaved. It was also loads of fun, growing up with lots of siblings. I imagine it was a lot of work for my parents, but we never felt neglected or unloved.
I think that the people who freak out are mostly from one or two child families, and they simply can’t imagine life in a larger family. I do get miffed, however, that people always seem to think it must be awful, and I really get annoyed at the comments about how you couldn’t possibly have “quality” time with that many kinds. Grr.
Some people are likely concern-trolling, but I think a lot of people just can’t relate to the experience of a larger family. Anyway, nice to see someone else who can relate to my experience! 🙂

She is looking so good these days with added weight, glow and darker hair colour. Slowly but surely we are getting the breathtakingly stunning Angelina back – like she looked in around 2004-07.
Everytime I see Maddox I feel old – I still remember seeing the picture of him trying to walk with the Mohican while Angelina was holding him. That’s the picture that made me a fan of Angelina – there was pure joy on her face.
Brad and Angelina said in the past that they don’t celebrate Valentine’s day. That they will rather celebrate birthdays, anniversaries etc. I am with them on this one – Valentine’s day is commercialised and I don’t celebrate with my husband either.
PS: Angelina is one of the few people who can wear every colour and doesn’t look silly. I demand to know her skin secrets – she always has flawless glowing skin.
PPS: I don’t think the diamond news is true. This couple knows how to keep things in secret and everyone knows well established jewellers won’t give out information about what their customers bought.
Oh really? I wouldn’t say that I would go crazy over Valentine’s Day if I had an SO, but I would see it just as an opportunity, I guess. I made a heart shaped Red Velvet cake on VDay for the family, and my mom usually gives us chocolates, but this year she forgot (she’s in college now and stressed out beyond belief). But then again, I like baking just because.
I personally don’t celebrate valentine’s day and never has because to me it seems like people are “forced” to show their love to their partners – some is genuine love and some is not genuine.
And people shouldn’t have one specific day to show love. That’s just my opinion though and thank good my husband shared it.

I just see it as a day for some extra chocolate, and an extra long kiss from my SO. I wouldn’t go all crazy for a Valentine’s Day dinner, complete with roses and a candlelit dinner. I guess because I’m someone who can forget to show my love, I like holidays where I’m supposed to show my feelings (I’m pretty closed off, I don’t like being vulnerable to other people) somewhat. But I never thought of it as a huge deal.
Rather than gift giving for Valentine’s, we go out for dinner so it’s mutually beneficial and something to look forward to. A glass of red wine is in order and it’s all good.
Totally agree, I love LOVE her with darker hair. She looks great. She’s had a tough year health wise, it’s great that she seems to be coming out the far side of it.
And I remember not knowing who she was until reading some magazine article (obviously 12 or 13 years ago :O!!) while on holidays about this stunning young actress, recently divorced who had just adopted a Cambodian baby boy with a weird name and the pictures made my heart melt. As a first impression it was about the most heart warming thing ever.
First time I had ever really paid attention to Angelina was in 2009, so I was 13. I had already vaguely known who she was, as Tomb Raider was one of the first action movies that I had picked out and watched (I didn’t watch a ton of movies as a kid, Disney channel was my jam), so I recognized her face. But I had JUST got an email address with Yahoo, so I was constantly going on it, ‘checking my email’ (which I knew that I didn’t have any messages), but anyway, first time I saw Brad and Angelina together was in Cannes, when she wore that nude Versace dress, with the red lipstick. God, I LOVED that dress. Loved it. Still do.

Regardless of how much money you have, you should leave some things for different stages of maturity. A five year old is too young to appreciate diamonds or care for them. It looks vulgar and pretentious for a five year old to be wearing diamonds. What’s left for when she’s 18?

I replied. Thanks for that, at least some people apply some common sense or basic humanity when it comes to these kinds of claims. People don’t seem to learn from past events. I don’t believe the necklace story. It doesn’t make sense. Brad and Angelina don’t strike me as the type to buy $4000 jewellery for such little kids. It’s too impractical. They aren’t known for throwing their money around. Which is why I don’t understand all of the huge big gift stories – private islands, airplanes, etc.
I think those stories are there to kind of give them a dig.. they are humanitarians but they spend money on elaborate gifts for each other and their children.
it is their money. I make a good living. I’m sure the things I can afford and spend my money on are overly expensive for some. While for others it is loose change.
They have money and spend it and use it. They give to others and try to help. I don’t have a problem with that. They are tweeting pics of their home inside or tweeting pics of all their Christmas presents. They keep that private. So yeah I call BS on this story.
They’ve said in the past that they spend a third, save a third and give a third of their income to charity, so I think they are entitled as you say to spend what ever they want on their family. They could spoil their children rotten so long as they appreciate what they have, which they probably do I don’t see the problem.

After about 10 days of travel my kids start to miss their friends, grandparents, cousins, home cooked food, their own beds, their routines like dance and music lessons, they just miss home. We once did a three week trip and the last week was miserable. Now 2 weeks is our max. I know all kids are different and I’m sure these kids are happy/loved etc. and they can afford to bring alot of home with them. I wonder if any of these six kids want a permanent home/regular peer group, especially the older boys. I guess they are so used to traveling they have nothing to miss. Please don’t freak out, I am not criticizing this family. Just thinking about all the travel. I’m sure the plusses outweigh any bad. I always hesitate to comment on these threads because people get so irrational.
Angelina said on Anderson Cooper that the kids love it now, but when they get older then they’ll settle down into one area. It’s give and take really. Either you miss your family, or you stay together–and I do think family is a lot more important than friends. My mom has lived in all sorts of places, met all sorts of different people–yet the people she talks to every week is her family. Not her friends. So there’s that.
It’s different for each family–I’m sure that there are some people who wish they could travel as much as the JPs do, but can’t afford it. I would love to travel (without going through customs, etc). I think that as long as they are together, and they have kids that they can interact with when they go to diff. places, then they’ll be fine.
They probably have friends all over the world as they should because family does not replace friends at all. You need both, they are equally important for many obvious reasons.
Sometimes you just want to talk to your peers about things that only they understand because they go through the same things at the same time, parents only talk about their experience and give advice through the prism of their own experiences which is safe. It’s helpful but not the same as children/teenagers still need to go through it themselves and will not always feel like making a safe choice despite the best advice. Children and parents are not on the same level in every stage in life. If you go to work, you talk to your colleagues and friends about your issues because they know what you go through, they’re doing it every day too. Nobody ever tried to argue that you only need family in your life because it’s plain unhealthy. Family can’t take over any role. They can’t be romantic partners, friends or colleagues. It’s important to have that choice to build many relationships.
Furthermore, I think we all know that there are different notions about what the word ‘family’ means and we all know that for a lot of people, this isn’t a happy term or one that even exists! Granted, this is not the case for the JPs but there will be moments where the children have needs that can’t be fulfilled by their parents or siblings and maybe they won’t have that option at that moment because there’s a plane waiting and mommy and daddy have to go to work.
It’s not all roses in that household and the fact that BP has to force them to drink Coca Cola so they can move on with their hectic lifestyle is not better or worse than having to stay somewhere fixed for 6 months or so. When you do something all the time, things will be boring at some point.

While I don’t think it’s a crime (loads of parents let their children drink soda and other crap!), I think you can make a case for having a stable base once in a while and not dragging them from country to country when JP are on their promotional duties or apart because of work. Not to mention, the jetlag. And then cram in some sightseeing, some home tutoring etc… I can’t imagine how tired they must be at times! Even I as adult would be tired as f-ck 😀
Now that Jolie was 5 months in Australia it must have been fun for them to just stay in one place because I really don’t believe, all 6 of them, are happy all the time with all the travelling. Plus the twins were with BP mainly in the UK while AJ had the rest of the kids so I think some of their rules buckle under the pressure of their lifestyle but it’s what they choose and wanted so more power to them. I know I don’t think of their life as ideal. Travelling is fun but having a consistent home is too 🙂

I came here to say pretty much this. And that no diamond can be 100% certified to be conflict-free. It’s far too easy to fake a stone’s provenance, and half the world’s diamonds are found in central and southern Africa anyway.
Look at how much these two have spent on themselves for items like diamonds, which come at the expense of other people’s misery, and how much they’ve spent on charity. The latter amounts to a teeny, tiny fraction of their net worth. Do the math.
I’m sure someone will counter with the fact that we all buy things like chocolate, coffee, and clothing that are infamous for being produced in horrid conditions. This is true. But it also means that The Brange aren’t any better than we are. And they are leaving behind a huge carbon footprint and funding quite a lot more misery than is the vast majority of humanity.
