Only one I can think of was Catherine Zeta Jones, but that was years ago.

  2. Virgilia Coriolanus says:

Does anyone know where I can watch American Horror Story Coven online? Netflix only has the first two seasons, and Hulu only has clips of the show.

    • Aagje says:

      tubeplus . me

    • blue marie says:

Honestly, you might have to pay. You can do it on Amazon or Hulu Plus I think, but no where has it for free other than on demand from your cable company.. (at least I wasn’t able to find it)

      • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

Well we have Huluplus, and when I tried to watch it on tv, it said I could only watch it online, and then when I went online, it only had clips.

      • blue marie says:

Oh, that’s ridiculous VC. I didn’t know it did that, I’m sorry. I’ve only used Amazon and On Demand..

    • FingerBinger says:

Try Primewire.ag http://www.primewire.ag/?tv. Use the sockshare or putlocker links. Watch the pop ups.

It will be on netflix mid summer this year. That’s all I got. Season 4 will be in the fall. That’s their timing.
I wish I could send you my DVR!

      • I hate you, netflix!!!

I honestly never expected to like American Horror story–I only watched it because of Sarah Paulson (who I only knew about because of 12YAS). I
don’t like horror or gore–but the show is very well written. I’m still mad about Season 2–they ruined it with all that aliens crap. And Jessica Lange is gorgeous and KILLING IT.

      • FLORC says:

        Virgilia
That Alien mess got me mad too. Yes, there are storylines only touched upon and the show doesn’t wrap everything up neatly, but that and the nazi experiment creatures just frustrated me. On top of Ryan Murphy saying there will be no more Alien stuff makes me think he wrote himself into a corner. And i’m still puzzled how Jessica Lange’s nun character could kill herself in the bathroom, but not die. Do you know?

You made it through season 2. The scariest imo. You’re over the hill. Meanwhile i’m on twitter trying to figure out what season 4 will be. Lange’s last season!

      • QQ says:

AHS Coven Has Been their best by far !!!

Aside though: DID YOU GUYSES WATCH TRUE DETECTIVE LAST NIGHT?!? OMHolyMoses

    • Marnie says:

Project free tv has a huge selection, definitely give it a try!

  3. ShakenNotStirred says:

    Oscar bait.

    • Bea says:

All movies are Oscar bait. Why make them if not to try and get recognition (and money) for them?

      • FLORC says:

Some movies are just awful. Not all are Oscar bait.
Some might be made to tell an inspirational story. If it gets a nomination that’s nice, but it was a story that needed to be shared.

    • islandwalker says:

It’s Coen Brothers so it could be great.

  4. Paige says:

This looks incredible. I can’t wait to see it.

  5. TC says:

Unbroken will definitely be an award contender with a Christmas Day release date. And with Maleficent opening in May, 2014 will definitely be the year for Jolie. I’m really looking forward to both films and more specifically Unbroken. The book was incredible, Louie Zamperini is an inspiration and Jolie looks to have captured the spirit of his story in the trailer. I thought In the Land of Blood and Honey was a pretty fierce directorial debut from Jolie, so I have no doubt she’s capable of telling this story. Bravo Angie!

  6. Aagje says:

I personally don’t like how they interchanged documentary with a trailer. Pick one because this was just… ugh.

    • sapphoandgrits says:

I think because it was shown during the Olympics coverage.

    • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

It was specifically for the Olympics, so I think that was a smart move. There hasn’t been a full trailer released yet. I like seeing Louis when he was younger…..he reminds me of my neighbor–who is 91 years old and is a WWII veteran as well. He actually did a four year Civil Engineering degree in one year (they did school twelve hours a day, six days a week), when he was drafted into the Army, so that he could be sent straight to Italy to work on getting rid of the landmines and rebuilding bridges that the Nazis destroyed. He doesn’t like to talk much about the war, so I don’t ask him except for one time, but he did tell me that his best friend, a person that he grew up with (who was with a mountain division) died on the second day that he was in Italy–Mr. C was still really sad about that.

      • Christin says:

VC, you have a glimpse into history with your neighbor. So many people of that generation knew true sacrifice and hard work. I cannot imagine what the WWII vets experienced, so it’s no wonder so many hesitate to discuss it. My FIL did not discuss his overseas wartime experiences, and I only recently discovered that my wonderful elementary school principal and my grandfather’s cousin were both WWII pilots who flew numerous dangerous missions.

I haven’t had a great deal of interest in a new movie in quite some time, but this one does look like a truly interesting story.

      • FLORC says:

        Virgilia
My Uncles were all in WW2, stationed in Germany, after immigrating to the USA. They rarely, if at all, talk about the war and find it difficult to watch films on the subject. Only saying it was far more horrifying than a film can portray.
It’s humbling to be around those who’ve sacrificed and makes us more appreciative to have not had to sacrifece that.

    • TC says:

As Virgilia and sapphoandgrits mentioned, it was to pay tribute to former Olympian Louie Zamperini at the Sochi Olympics.

But I’d also add that it’s way too early for a full trailer for the film. So this is a “first look” or a tease promo. I personally enjoyed the blending. But I understood it was a Zamperini tribute and not a full trailer. I guess if you didn’t know this. It could be confusing. We may get a full trailer in the spring or summer.

Virgilia – that’s a really cool story about your neighbor who’s a WWII veteran. It amazes me with men went through in that war (or in any way really). Thanks for sharing.

  7. sapphoandgrits says:

The book “Unbroken” was terrific, and the movie looks fantastic. Will be there opening day.

If the movie is as good as the trailer makes it appear to be, it definitely is “Oscar Bait.”

  8. kellyinseattle says:

    The picture is beautiful.

  9. Reece says:

I’m obligated as a South Bay girl to go see this movie and I’m good with that. 🙂

  10. Maya says:

This looks so good and I cannot wait to see this movie. I have no doubt that Angelina will do justice to this movie – she has this unique talent to tap into human emotions from strength, sadness, resilience and bravery in all of roles and she will also bring that talent into this wonderful story. Plus Louis adores Angelina and since he has seen and experienced a lot of stuff in his life – I will take that as stamp of approval.

This movie is an Oscar bait and I think it will land Angelina an Oscar for directing while many critics and viewers are predicting she will also get an Oscar for best actress for Maleficent (this by just watching the trailers).

This is so a good year for the JPs and us fans.

  11. Andrea1 says:

Looks great! Some people are already saying Angie couldn’t have directed unbroken and that it was done by someone else… It was bound to happen 🙂 after all its Angelina Jolie and people must talk.

    • Bea says:

Well Angie didn’t have a tan, so how could she have directed the movie?

      • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

What’s ironic is that I did see a few pics on the Dailymail a few months ago—she had a really bad sunburn.

      • Evyn says:

I guess they didn’t see the pix of her on set wearing that big, black hat.
        Haters are gonna hate.

I bet if the preview looked like crap, they would be mocking her.

      • FLORC says:

Haters are gonna hate. True enough.
        I’m all teary.

    • Kim1 says:

Some idiot just posted on JJ a few days ago that Angie didn’t give birth to the twins. A surrogate was used using her ex husband JLM’s sperm. So I’m not surprised by this rumor.

      • Janet says:

You think that’s bad? They were posting on FF that she gave birth to one twin and her assistant Holly gave birth to the other one. 🙄

      • Bea says:

Oh that’s been around from FF for years. The stuff they come up with is just…..special.

      • 3KATZ says:

        What are JJ & FF

      • Kim1 says:

        JJ justjared.com
FF I beleieve is femalefirst.com I have never been to FF.The rumor about the surrogate is from FF but one of them posted on Angelina thread @ Justjared.com

  12. Allie says:

The sweater that Olivia is wearing is $110…on sale. Why am I not rich?

    • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

Because, like me, you would spend all of your money on movies and romance novels—damn you, amazon! To be fair, ‘Once More, Miranda’ was worth the seven bucks I paid. Does anyone on here read romance novels, by Jennifer Wilde??? I still can’t believe it was a guy who wrote those!

  13. xboxsucks says:

everybody says the book is amazing hopeful the movie will be too

  14. joey says:

They should’ve just made the trailer, not a half and half, I know its an Olympics one, but I think it takes away from the movie and the voice over is just wrong.

    • Emma - the JP Lover says:

@Joey, who wrote: “They should’ve just made the trailer, not a half and half, I know its an Olympics one, but I think it takes away from the movie and the voice over is just wrong.”

The ‘voice over’ is Tom Brokaw, because it was a special piece for the Olympic coverage … you know, the Olympics … currently happening in Sochi, Russia?

They do pieces like this all the time on former Olympians during the Olympics. Louis Zamperini is a former Olympic athlete who is the subject of a new film, so Tom Brokaw worked it into his Olympic piece.

  15. Little M says:

    It made me cry.

The old Zamperini is endearing and I would love to read the book now.

    • Size Does Matter says:

The book is absolutely fantastic. Just when I thought I couldn’t possibly be a bigger Brangeloonie, she does this. I can’t wait to see it!

  16. lucy2 says:

Film looks good – I still want to read the book before it comes out.

Madonna has a skin care line? But she’s so plastic these days.

    • Sullivan says:

Right? Why would anyone buy skincare products from Madonna?

      • QQ says:

Because you want the sexy visage of a cat made outta tupperware?

      • Maya says:

@QQ: Lol you win the internet battle for the best comment:)

BTW – if that is you on the picture then I want to know your beauty secrets. You are beautiful and have amazing skin.

      • QQ says:

Aw! Thanks Maya tis’ me! But it so happens I have THE oiliest Skin known to mankind so basically I live to stave off a pimple and a scar hyperpigmentation and so on i switch between Murad and peter Thomas Roth sets and ole henriksen stuff and try to get facials from the local beauty school and stuff like that… And anything spot reducing thing? I’ll use ANY OF EM

  17. HappyMom says:

The story and movie trailer gave me chills. He is an amazing man and it looks to be a great film. That said-ducking-hated the book. The writing was so awful I couldn’t finish it.

  18. rlh says:

Looks like it may be a good movie. But I really dislike that picture of Jolie with her head on his shoulder, eyes closed, contrived look of bliss on her face (that is a go-to look for her). It would have been a stronger picture with her looking into the camera or the two of them looking at each other.

    • EarlGreyer says:

Is it a go-to look for her? I’m actually curious – where else has she done this contrived “look”?

It’s a good photograph, aesthetically and otherwise. The focus is on Zamperini. The way Jolie’s body and head are angled draws the viewer’s eyes to him. Well done, photog.

    • Bea says:

If she would have been looking into the camera and taking the focus off of him she would have been accused of all sorts of things.

I think it is evident by her words (and his) that they adore each other and this photo shows how much.

      • EarlGreyer says:

        +1

      • They live in the same neighborhood and have known each other for years–this was covered in the thread that had the picture of the two of them. I agree that it would be way too sentimental and posed, if they hadn’t known each other, but they do know each other very well. He was even at the Governor’s Ball when she received her Humanitarian Oscar.

  19. Sara says:

Awww, Angie really likes directing war movies. This looks a lot better than In The Land of Blood and Honey (which was honestly a bit of a mess).

    • I wonder how she’d do with an action film….I’d love to see that. I do hope that she leaves acting and goes into directing full time.

If I could have ANY job in HW, I would pick directing….

  20. Camille (TheOriginal) says:

Looks good so far, this will definitely be on my ‘must watch’ list.

  21. Miss M says:

Unbroken is one of favorite books. I loved the story so much and I have high expectations for this movie.

  22. Abby says:

So so soooo looking forward to this film. The book was one of the best I’ve read in a long time and he’s a true inspiration. Can’t.wait.

  23. jojo says:

The most interesting thing about this film for me is the screenplay. Have you guys noticed it has been written by the Coen Brothers? The original screenplay was written the guy who wrote the screenplays for Gladiator and Les Miserables. She had the mother flippin’ Coens rewrite it. That’s like not liking the painting on your wall in your living room and having picasso make you a new one. I guess when you are that rich and hold that much power you can get anyone to do anything for you. I hope she didn’t mess it up, because I’m sure the Coens gave her gold to work with. She seems to know one important thing though – hire good people.

  24. Maya says:

I need help. Does anyone know the name of the song/music played in the background for this trailer? I have been looking everywhere I cannot find out the name:(
