This story is in a celebrity blog called PopDust, which is newish to me. Maybe they have a source who was at a club where this allegedly went down, or maybe their source is making it up. This is a pairing so random that I tend to believe it though. According to PopDust, Demi Moore, 51, went to an LA club “in a bizarre white romper” where she got the very handsy attention of one Alex Pettyfer, 23. You may remember Alex Pettyfer from Magic Mike, from the “Thank You” tattoo he has directly over his crotch, or from the stalking incident with his ex, Dianna Agron. He’s also been linked to Riley Keough and to Julianne Hough, and to be fair to him, he seems to have calmed down lately.
The last we heard of Demi, she was still going strong with her latest boytoy, a 27 year-old drummer whom she took on vacation to Mexico over the holidays. Perhaps Demi is still playing the field, or that relationship has run its course. She wasn’t shy about getting friendly with Alex, according to this story:
A fellow partier tells Popdust Demi strutted in to a Hollywood party around 11 pm Saturday (at the new nameless Fairfax club that took over from the now defunct Largo) in a bizarre white romper ensemble and managed to steal the limelight from all the twenty-somethings in the house.
After exchanging air kisses with the party host, Pettyfer and Moore quickly made a beeline for each other.
“It was like they were long lost lovers,” the eyewitness dishes. “Alex actually picked Demi up off the ground and swung her around, and then he kept both arms wrapped around her waist as they caught up.”
After their initial pleasantries, the pair moved onto Alex’s table where the flirting continued.
A sexy red-head in a low-cut dress even sauntered by and tried to steal Alex’s gaze from Demi at one point, but ultimately failed.
“He looked her up and down for a second, but then it was right back to Demi—and, she was totally working it. She leaned on the table with her elbows and bent at the waist so her curves were on full display.
“And fair play to Demi, she looked absolutely stunning.”
After some serious flirt time, the source says Pettyfer and Moore drifted away from each other to schmooze with other glitterati, but reconnected once again toward the end of the night.
So does “reconnected once again toward the end of the night” mean that they went home together or just that they talked before parting ways? Maybe the source couldn’t tell. This article sounds just like Demi and I don’t doubt this happened. Whether or not anything came of it is another issue.
Alex is starring in the Endless Love remake, which hit theaters on Valentine’s day and is getting eviscerated by critics. That’s a remake of a 1981 film, and it’s competing with another 80s romance remake, About Last Night. (The About Last Night remake is trumping Endless Love in both critical acclaim and at the box office.) Demi starred in the original About Last Night, with Rob Lowe. So there’s a multigenerational “six degrees” thing going on here, but it’s probably more about the fishbowl existence these people live.

And she looks younger than 51. But an almost 30-year age difference will always be a challenge/obstacle in any relationship.

Demi is a product of her environment (H’wood) – you can’t expect her to act (or look) her age. I can’t hate on her for chasing the young meat – men her age date women his age all the time and it’s nbd, so………..
This sounds like Demi’s PR person was the source. The lines about stealing all the attention from the twenty-somethings, the stunning redhead trying to compete.

I know people want to claim “Double standards” but in Demi’s case, she’s not someone who can have some hot seks and then move on…she gets emotionally attached and hurt.
Ashton & Bruce are doing pretty damn well after kicking Demi to the curb…..and after Demi “dumped” Ashton, she started partying with her 20 something year old daughter and almost over dosed on drugs…..
She needs a stable man who is her age. She obviously wants a relationship and that’s only going to happen with a man older than her. She’s also obsessed with looking young and having an older man will make her seem younger in comparison, whereas a younger man will have less wrinkles and make her more insecure.
I agree with you, Aurie. If Demi could have fun with her toy-boys while keeping an eye open for a true partner, I’d be cheerleading for her. However,trying to have relationships (and then getting hurt) by these guys just seems the wrong way to go, imo.

Perhaps so.
But in fairness to Demi, she lives and works in an environment where men her age – or older – exclusively date women much younger than her. And nobody bats an eyelid. So while I agree that she’d be more likely to find a lasting relationship (assuming that’s what she wants) with a man closer to her own age, in practice that’s not so easily done for a Hollywood woman in her 50s.
If she is going to hit up young men at least hit good looking young ones up. That Alex dude has a creep factor of about 100%.
I won’t shade Demi for doing what men have been doing forever. She looks good and if the youngins’ like her, more power to her. I just think her choices are super ICK.
I just can’t imagine caring as much as she does about the young dudes. There are some hot older guys–even younger older guys, like in the thirties age range–who would be great to fool around with, but oh, no….she wants the twenty year olds.

At least Madonna is smart about it though. She takes her pick from the no-names, pays them their salary, does what she wants, and then gets a new one when the expiry date passes (or the dude passes the age of what, 25?). Demi, on the other hand, gets her heart broken.

I’m not sure what age has to do with consenting adults, If this story is indeed true. Didn’t Patrick Stewart get married to someone almost 40 years his junior?! Not much shade there yet Demi is fair game? I think people let their own insecurities get in the way of respecting other people. Heck, if Colin Farrell is to be believed, he and the Dame were in a relationship, albeit non-sexual. And I’d never cast shade on the late Elizabeth Taylor. NEVER!
I don’t think the problem is that Demi wants to date with younger men, it’s just her MO and her insecurities that make her as a joke -Especially with many sources claiming her thirst of youth and her deseperation for young parents-. Aurie and Tulip made a good point. Take an example of Susan Sarandon, she dated with younger men, but she keeps sex appeal, intelligence and confidence and she’s open to a potential relationship. That’s the key difference.

I wouldn’t have a problem with demi dating younger guys if she was just effing em and leaving them. but i get a really needy vibe from her. i think she tries to play the casual hooking up but she gets hurt bc she gets feelings for them. i dont know why i just get that feeling. and i’m the same way. when i try to have a casual hookup, i get feelings for them. so i kept getting hurt. now i just look for a relationship.
