A lot of you wanted to talk about Kerry Washington’s Oscar style! I don’t really know why. We only had one brief respite from the onslaught of Kerry’s bad maternity style before she returned to form. But, while this Jason Wu gown isn’t good by any stretch of the imagination, it’s also not even close to being the worst dressed. I do tend to give pregnant women a pass on maternity styles in general – Kerry is super-preggo, she’s waddling, she’s uncomfortable, let her wear a boring and cheap-looking satin sheet. Besides, I’ll give her credit for some stuff: this color is gorgeous, her skin is fantastic and I liked her makeup.
My biggest complaints: that stupid bobby pin-looking thing on her bust and the fact that she went strapless. She was asking for trouble by going strapless, and it’s the classic mistake of the small-breasted girl. Kerry’s unaccustomed to maneuvering breasts, so she was adjusting the top of her dress all night. Jason Wu should have given her some straps.
Here’s Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Channing Tatum. Do you expect much from Jenna’s style? I do not. I think she’s probably a nice person and everything, but I don’t think I’ve ever been like, “Wow, Jenna Dewan really brought it home in this dress.” She aims to be inoffensive, and I think she’s crossed over to that point where she realizes that everyone is looking at Channing anyway. Jenna’s Oscar dress was Reem Acra – it’s something we’ve seen a million times before. Pale color, feathered ruffle skirt, blah, blah. Total snooze. I really dislike her hair too. Channing looks great though.

She looks awful, it literally looks like she was asleep then someone woke her to remind her that “Hey the Oscars are today!” And she literally wrapped the sheets around her body and secured it with a bobby pin. I HATE the fact that said bobby pin is off centre, why is it at the side? Thank God award season is over, her maternity style sucks so much ass, you would think she had no access to top stylists & designers. I can’t believe she wore pumps with it as well, Why does she wear pumps ALL THE TIME?! I could literally go on & on about the awfulness of this. Her hair & makeup is gorg, I’ll give her that and she also looks better than Elsa Pataky who wore the sequined/beaded version of her frilly belted pap stroll outfits.
Jenna Dewan looks okay, her dress reminds me of Angelina Jolie’s. Channing should stop with that pout, smize thing he’s doing. It’s not cute.
Agree. That was the first thing that jumped out at me. The wrinkles were hideous, but maybe they were unavoidable if she did in any sitting a dress like that (which would be a negative on the dress). Otherwise, I don’t think it’s a bad look.
Her face and lips are looking a bit puffy. Hopefully she is having a healthy pregnancy, no preeclampsia or blood pressure issues.
I loved it, actually. I think she looked great— Kerry and Jenna.

Kerry’s dress was okay, but her hair and makeup were gorgeous. The dark lip was perfect. She’s such a stunning woman.
I agree, both looked great. And the extra weight does wonders for Kerry, she looked stunning.
I like the color of Kerry Washington’s dress. It seems to change from gray to purplish(?). I don’t think it’s awful at all. She’s really big and wanted to be comfy.
I’m developing an irrational dislike for Channing Tatum. He really thinks he’s hot sort of a thing. I, on the other hand, don’t get the fuss, on his looks or acting.
Nooo to this color. With Kerry’s beautiful skin, to wear such a soapy, dirty, odd shade of lavender-grey, its a sin. I really would be fine with the dress in any other color. This purple is awful.
I think someone said it below aptly, a lighter shade of gloss or lipstick would have pulled the look and color together better. I still think she looks very pretty though.

That fucking fabric is the scourge of proms and award shows everywhere!! The Wrinkles!! Ugh! But the color itself and her hair and makeup were divine

I like Kerry’s simple look–I think her lipstick is too dark though.
Jenna’s dress looks like a knock off of something that Penelope Cruz wore a few years ago….same color and feathers.

I thought she looked amazing, I’m not crazy about the lip color, a nude lip would have been better, but she looked absolutely gorgeous!
I loved Kerry’s dress. Yeah, it was wrinkled by the after party, but it looked fabulous on the red carpet. I’m really enjoying the maternity styles that aren’t skin-tight — it doesn’t look shapeless to me at all, just elegant and pretty. Especially in that color and with that hair. Total win in my book.
I think Kerry is ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKINGLY LUSCIOUS here! I’d give her an Oscar for being able to look so good while so pregnant. Just GORGEOUS face and skin. Yummy!
Luckily Kerry is so gorgeous it doesn’t really matter that it looked like Jason Wu took a cheap piece of taffeta, wrapped the dress around her and clipped it. I think Wu might have learned a bit about dressing very pregnant women so maybe it was good for something.
Lipstick was to dark, but the color of the dress was spot on and the hair was great.
Her maternity style has been awful (that pink crop top from the sags and her bafta dress come to mind), so this was a nice change. It looked pulled together even it was a sack dress.
Other than the wrinkles, which could easily have happened if she’d been sitting for a while (and let’s face it, she’s crazy pregnant, she probably sits as much as she can), Kerry Washington looks beautiful.
Kerry: THE HAIR or THE Lipstick, one of them is to much…i like her gawn tho.
Jenna’s dress looks like two previous Oscar dresses put together aka something we have seen a bunch of times before and something I’ll most likely forget in next 5 minutes. I do think you are right on Jenna accepting being Channing’s date and doesn’t feel the need to be a star, too, which I honestly find refreshing in Hollywood with so many C-listers so thirsty for any publicity.
Kerry looked stunning. The hair, makeup, and her skin were all perfection. I wish the dress wasn’t so wrinkled, but I do like how it fits her and I love the color on her.

I actually don’t think this is that bad. I feel like maybe she didn’t realize that when she sat the excess material would get trapped under her bump and wrinkle? And I guess I tend to give anyone this pregnant a pass – you’re utterly miserable and uncomfortable all the time and though they’ve made strides in maternity fashion there still isn’t a lot of choice (and I don’t think many designers do maternity, though I could be wrong).
And, as a fellow small-chested girl (34a) before pregnancy who grew to a 38D during I feel for her – you just don’t know what the hell to do with those things!
I liked Kerry’s dress, actually. It was definitely an upgrade! Jenna’s dress is alright, and Channing looked really handsome.
I’ve thought for a while now that whoever dresses Olivia Pope should dress Kerry Washington.
I thought Jenna Dewan’s dress was very beautiful. Considering she’s not as popular as some of the other celebrities attending and doesn’t get as much attention I thought she did really well with what she had. I always look forward to her fashion choices and think her style is very elegant and flattering. Wish we could see more of her on celebitchy!!
Kerry Washington is without a doubt the best-dressed (or styled) woman in Hollywood. This wasn’t the greatest thing she’s ever worn, but she’s pregnant, so you have to give the woman some leeway. In any case, she’s gorgeous!
When she came out on stage, I never even noticed the wrinkles. I didn’t watch the red carpet pre-show as those interviewers bore the heck out of me.
She walked out on stage soooo pregnant and was stunning I thought in her dress and carried herself beautifully. Pregnancy suits her.

Kerry always looks gorgeous. Her clothes often don’t work but she’s so lovely — how often do you think someone is “lovely”? — that she still looks good. Her misses don’t make HER look bad, she makes her misses look better.
Kerry looked wonderful. That subtle color is surprisingly good & low key jewelry is perfect. I like the dress and admire the concession to comfort
during advanced pregnancy. This is far more attractive than the “cling to the whole bump & show the distended navel” look often favored by some.
Kerry’s dress was a gorgeous plum color on TV–not as gray as this. I thought she looked really good and I can’t wait for her baby announcement!
Channing and Jenna are my favorite celeb couple. Her dress/hair makeup looks beautiful and Channing looks hot as always. I think she has gotten more beautiful as she’s gotten older.
Horribly styled. Wrinkled fabric. Bad shoes. Bad hair. Pretty gal, but that get-up is a mess!
