Mila Kunis & Ashton Kutcher make a post-engagement outing, Mila hides her ring

Here are the first coupled-up photos we’ve had of Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher since they announced (or “unnamed sources announced”) their engagement last week. Mila and Ashton were out and about in Studio City last night, where they went out to dinner at the Black Market Liquor Bar. This is not like last week’s exclusive photo agency photo-op, in which E! and People Mag and only a handful of top-tier sites got the first photos of Mila’s engagement ring. In these photos, Mila is purposefully withholding any sight of her ring. Fine. I didn’t want to see it anyway (yes I did).

When I saw these photos, I was going to make a big deal about how Mila and Ashton had been completely MIA for Oscar weekend, but as it turns out, that wasn’t the case. While Mila and Ashton had no films to promote this weekend (thus their absence at the Spirits and Oscars), they did make an undercover appearance at Madonna’s annual Oscar afterparty. Madge’s party was really well-attended this year – she got Mila, Ashton, Lupita Nyong’o, Julia Roberts, Miley Cyrus (huh?) and… Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie!! Weird world, right? I thought Angelina and Madonna didn’t care for each other. I guess you don’t have to be BFFs to go to someone’s party and drink their liquor and eat their food. And to bring it back to Mila… Mila played the younger version of Gia Carangi in the TV movie while Angelina played the older Gia. So many connections!

PS… At least Ashton opens Mila’s car door for her. That’s nice. I’m setting the bar pretty low, I realize, but there you go.

    Gee, she looks thrilled.

    • Tapioca says:

Maybe she’s just realised that she said “yes” to a thirty-something man who still wears his jeans like that?

    • pnichols says:

LOL!!!!! I just choked on my coffee

    • Dogs > People. says:

Yeah. I can’t understand it. I LOVE being stalked by scumbags with cameras, while I’m doing nothing but walking to my car. I even give them a big cheesy grin and do nice little dance/jig to show I’m happy that day. Hope you understand sarcasm btw 🙂

  2. A guy opening a car door for a woman isn’t setting the bar low–you’d be amazed at how many people won’t even open doors for someone when they see that their hands are full. My mom makes my brothers do it when we (rarely) go out to eat or to a store, and the only two men I’ve had open the door for me was my dad, and my 90 year old neighbor (seriously, even when I leave his house he opens the door for me).

+1. It’s just a really nice courtesy that so many don’t extend to others anymore. Most of the time now people will practically knock you down so they can get to a door, an elevator, a cab or whatever first. I have my 10 year old do it because I feel it’s important to teach him to have common courtesy, especially towards women and the elderly.

      • Wiffie says:

Ten years together, and hubby still opens my car door and lets me in first . He’s a gentleman and a sweetheart, and it makes me feel special. It’s the little things!

    • Jess says:

I love when I hold the door open and a zillion people come out and not one says thank you. Like I’m doing it for fun or money. SMH.

      • Lucybelle says:

You are so right. It is a HUGE pet peeve of mine when people don’t say please and thank you. If I’m the one holding the door and no one thanks me I usually say “You’re welcome!” loud enough for them to hear it. My sisters have trained their boys to hold doors for people. One time when my nephew was like 4 a huge group of people went through and not a one of them thanked him. I pointedly said “Thank you for holding the door, Luke!” Drives me crazy!

    • Liv says:

Lainey wrote about Brad Pitt always opening the door for Angelina – so sweet. Even if there’s staff to do it. Classy man.

  3. Zandy says:

    Where has her hotness gone?

  4. Original Tessa says:

Ashton has put on some weight.

  5. ron1213 says:

Hey, just ask Kanye, opening car doors is hard. 🙂

  6. Elisabeth says:

I cannot stand him. I have no reason for my dislike, I just want to punch him in the face

  7. Tiffany27 says:

    I want her shoes.

  8. TG says:

I saw this pic and though it was Katie Holmes. Not good Mila.

  9. MollyB says:

Awwww. I wish them many years of looking totally f’ing miserable together in public.

  10. Dotty says:

I don’t understand the general love for Mila – she always looks like she’s having the most miserable time….unless of course it’s for a sexy photo shoot.

  11. Tazina says:

They’re surrounded by paps. Any facial expression can be sensationalized and made into some bogus story. She’s just being careful.

  12. Teeny says:

I’m a fan of the color of her shoes.

  13. Penny says:

    I want her bag

  14. Nerd Alert says:

Poor girl. She has a serious case of Bitchy Resting Face.

  15. Michael says:

And at least she didn’t hide her face. On Saturday she hid her face and she wore fingerless gloves, just so no one would see the ring. Everyone already knows, whats the point of being so ridiculous about it.

    • Candy love says:

^ This their are pictures of her ring out already so why make a big deal about it know. She only drawing more attention to herself by hiding her hands.

  16. taxi says:

She’s never looked very good unposed without makeup. Maybe sour b****face is her natural expression because there are lots of walk-the-dog, etc, pap shots from far enough away that she probably wouldn’t have had time to alter her expression in response to their presence. In a few more years, she’ll really hide. Based on how her mother looks, she may not age well.
