Jared Leto ‘jokes’ Jennifer Lawrence’s Oscar fall was ‘a bit of an act’: funny or rude?

Jared Leto

This story is a little bit dated, but many outlets are circulating it now, so we may as well join them. Most of you are aware that Jennifer Lawrence took a tumble on the Oscar red carpet. This was an unintended follow-up to last year’s cake-walk fall. Jennifer clearly tripped over a cone while waving to fans. She was not Katniss-ing us with an “aw shucks” media routine. JLaw was laying as low as possible this awards season. She was thrilled to lose the Best Supporting Actress category because she’s wary of the backlash that threatens to topple her “It Girl” status.

Jared Leto decided to make things a little harder for Jennifer. She had already been criticized (by many of you) for breaking script onstage while presenting the Best Actor award. Leto revealed to Access Hollywood that he and his family were the ones laughing at JLaw as she walked onstage. She should have ignored these heckling antics, but it was childish of Jared to behave that way. He was probably riding high on his win and decided it was safe to act douchey. He also “jokingly” told Access Hollywood that JLaw fell on purpose earlier that evening. Joke or not, I think it’s rude of him to feed a burgeoning backlash. Do you agree?

Jennifer Lawrence did not fail in being very Jennifer Lawrence-y at Sunday’s Oscars – and Jared Leto broke it all down for Access Hollywood.

When the actress hit the stage to present the Best Actor award, she went off script, looking into the crowd, saying, “Why are you laughing? What, is this funny? I’m still watching you!”

It turns out, the actress was talking to fellow Oscar winner Jared Leto, who was in the audience laughing with his family.

“She said, ‘What are you laughing at?’ But what she didn’t know was that Ellen was on the side…making, pantomiming [motions like], ‘Don’t fall, don’t fall,’ and my mom and my brother are all cracking up,” he explained.

“I guess we don’t have any manners,” he joked. “You can take them out of Louisiana but you can’t take Louisiana out of them, right?”

Jared also weighed in on Jennifer’s red carpet trip earlier on the Oscars red carpet, her second consecutive fall at the Oscars.

“You know, I’m starting to wonder if this is a bit of an act,” he joked with Billy Bush about the actress’ less-than-graceful red carpet moment.

[From Access Hollywood

Jared needs to count his blessings (and his scarves) and be very careful. He’s not immune to backlash either. Now that Jared’s an official Oscar darling, his own skeletons are bursting from the closet in the form of tabloid stories. Would it be rude of me to ask whether Jared’s brilliant Oscar campaign was “a bit of an act” too? It’s completely possible.

While we’re talking about Jennifer, you should read this column that JLaw’s civilian BFF, Laura Simpson, wrote after she attended the Oscars. She was the one whom Jennifer clutched as she ate red carpet. Bill Murray wanted to dance with Laura! I’m so jealous.

The more I learn about Jared Leto, the less I like him.

    • Sixer says:

I was just going to say, the more I learn about Jared Leto, the more I yearn for more BLOKE around here.

    • Crank says:

I really think he’s just joking. We can’t forget that these two actually KNOW each other and Jennifer probably knows it’s just a joke.
Kind of like when a friend says something about me and everyone is like ‘I can’t believe you just said that’ when I know that it’s just a joke and we like poking fun at each other.
Either way Jennifer won’t let it bother her or start a twitter war or anything, which is why she’s so damn awesome

    • Hiddles forever says:

      Same here.

Of all the negative things that can be said about Jennifer Lawrence, he laughed at something that could be “natural”. I don’t follow JLaw much but I suffer from her same balance problem… I tripped over anything for countless years…. Let alone when walking in high heels…
I don’t think it was an act at all because she clearly clutched at her friend’s back in a very awkward way. If she staged that, she deserved a Best Falling Actress Oscar.

    • jaye says:

Yes…he is proving himself to be quite the douche nozzle.

    • Elizabeth says:

Well, I never liked him, so I’m not liking him less. But I’m sure as heck not liking him more.

  2. A says:

I’m sure he’s a douche but in this case he’s probably right about her…

    • Tatjana says:

My thoughts exactly. She fell again, how cute.
He’s a dick, but she’s old enough to ignore him while heckled.

    • yennefer says:

Maybe he’s right, but it doesn’t make him sound good when talking like that about his fellow nominees. So you think Jennifer fell on purpose? Well, why don’t you stay classy and let her ridicule herself and herself alone. Right now it seems like he’s thinking of Jennifer as some sort of competition, hence his trash-talking. Nevermind she’s half his age.

      • A says:

Hey, I said he was a douche, didn’t I? Someone can be a douche and still be right lol… Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

      • Tatjana says:

He was joking, for God’s sake,

      • Anna says:

What he said wasn’t that big of a deal, I think Bedhead is blowing this a bit out of proportion.. Plus most of the internet (social media and whatnot) all thought this was done on purpose too and are all tired of her “quirky” act.. So really he’s not the only one who’s said this, he’s just the only celeb.

    • cat says:

I agree and what he said isnt such a big deal

  3. ctkat1 says:

I actually don’t believe either fall was on purpose, because a) who would want to fall on their way to the stage to accept the highest honor in their profession at a ceremony watched by tens of millions worldwide and in front of the most successful people in their profession, and b) in the second fall she grabs the neck of her best friend and very nearly takes her down- who would purposefully do that to their civilian best friend on the Oscars red carpet?

I do think that her natural personality has morphed into a “public natural personality” and that she’s very aware that people expect a certain amount of verve and energy and wit from her now, so she’s always “on.” (No wonder the woman is exhausted!)

  4. Melissa says:

He’s a douche but, 100% right – Lawrence’s aw shucks act is wearing pretty thin at the moment.

  5. Eleonor says:

The column of the JLaw friend is adorable.

  6. chloe says:

To be honest I’m a little tired of all the Oscar nominees and winners right now, I am impressed the JLaw laid low during Oscar campaigning this season, maybe Jared should take a hint and do the same thing. I did like her friends blog about the Oscars, it’s a good read, I thought it was hilarious that she said JLaw ate shit on the carpet (if that fall was an act, she wins best actress on falling skits) and I looked at the rest of her blogs and she had an older post from last years showing the most beautiful People cover saying that Jennifer was offered it and she turned it down , so Gwyneth wasn’t the first choice.

    • Lucy2 says:

Oh I love that People mag info. I was wondering how on earth they arrived at Goop.

      • Kate says:

Lucy 2, when I saw Goop on the cover, I thought okay People made this decision while smoking crack.

        I want Jared’s purple scarf

      • Hahahaha–I love that info too. Goop being the second choice–we know how much she wanted it, then. I’ve never really found Goop attractive, she always seemed very *neat* , put together, and groomed–but never really all that attractive.

  7. lisa2 says:

The problem is Jennifer showed her age during the Oscar show. she was presenting. She saw someone laughing in the audience and assumed it had something to do with her. The truth is they were laughing at Ellen doing something off stage. She should have come out and read her script and ignored what was going on. She reacted and like many young people thought it was about her. It was in a sense; but not the way she assumed. It made for a very awkward moment; because the people watching on TV had no idea what was going on.

He is making a comment that others have made before. I don’t think her tripping on this night was an act. I just think she is young and plays to what works for her in the press

    • The Original Mia says:

Except it did have to do with her. Ellen was off camera telling her not to fall on the way to the podium. People were laughing because they heard her.

  8. Jessica says:

There are a lot of people from Louisiana with manners, Jared and his family are just a-holes.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

That comment annoyed me, too. Don’t blame Louisiana for your lack of manners and maturity, Jared.

    • V4real says:

The Louisiana comment was obviously a joke, not to be taken literally. Douche or not he was only stating what a lot of others were saying about JLaw. Even Joan Rivers and others thought that fall was fake.
As for them laughing, they were giggling at Ellen. I like JLaw but she was acting childish and she should have stuck to script and no one would have been the wiser. If she didn’t yell at them this entire episode wouldn’t have seen the light of day. Instead she gave it wings.

      • Olivia says:

I am sure Jennifer can take it, just like she can dish it. Jennifer has jokingingly said plenty of things that people consider rude. Anyway there were people, industry and otherwise, on twitter who were talking ab her “fake” fall again long before Jared said anything about it.

    • Cora says:

Ellen DeGeneres is also from Louisiana. It was Ellen who was joking around and Jared and family were giggling at Ellen, so I think Jared was just making a light-hearted comment about the whole group.

  9. Kelly says:

Funny or rude? How about real.

Also that hair ages her 10 years.

On a side not, Jenny & Jared would make a crazy mofo power couple.

    • Jade says:

She’s too old for his taste.

    • EarlGreyer says:

And she probably would not take well to being choked so, nope!

      • deanna says:

Although he is multi talented and succeeds in a variety of mediums, I find it sad that he’s in his forties and preys upon young groupies with low self esteem. No shade on
his acting or singing whatsoever… It’s just interesting that he exhibits such misogynistic behavior with his young fans. Madonna/whore complex to the nth degree. Loves mom, uses women.

    • Kimble says:

I was going to say I think she turned him down and hence the shade …

  10. Nona says:

I agree with Bedhead 100 percent. I don’t think the fall was an act—I think JLaw would have been thrilled to have missed the Oscars completely. I wish she hadn’t reacted to the laughter. That was unprofessional. Leto obviously was stung that she said something to his family, so he lashed out—in a really mean, bitchy way. Unprofessional vs bitchy and mean. I know who I’m rooting for.

  11. Ag-UK says:

People need to relax he was probably joking and she probably took as the joke it was. I think nowadays people can’t say anything without it being taken the wrong way. In the big scheme of things that would be the last thing I worried about

  12. bns says:

I don’t think she completely faked it, but I definitely think she exaggerated for attention.

    • mimi says:

      @bns

I agree with you. I think she really did walk into that orange cone by accident as she exited the limo but I think she definitely exaggerated the execution of the “stumble” for attention.

If you read her Vanity Fair interview from last year, sh admitted she has always loved being the center of attention since she was a kid. As young as elementary school, she claims she once jumped out of the emergency exit of her school bus and in middle school would make up silly stories about herself for attention. Once in gym class, she said she suddenly started running really fast around the gymnasium for no reason as her confused classmates looked on. So, I can totally buy her exaggerating her stumble at the Oscars to stand out a bit and reinforce her “silly Jennifer” public persona.

      • Val says:

        Nice catch mimi!

It may have been cute when she was a kid, now it’s just.. too much imo. Though I know someone who fakes falls, and is dramatic when she isn’t the centre of attention… and she’s pushing on 30, so I guess it’s something that isn’t easy to grow out of…

    • Kelly says:

“I definitely think she exaggerated for attention”
      THIS, yes, well said

  13. Audrey says:

I definitely don’t think it was fake. She didn’t even know she was on camera, she was just coming out of the car. She probably hoped nobody would even notice.

Plus I also think she wanted as little attention as possible this year. She was there out of obligation.

Hope her hair grows out fast.

I don’t mind leto’s interview at all. Kinda sucks that he brought attention to it but I don’t think he meant any harm. Probably just mocking the people who think she planned it

    • Tatjana says:

She’s a nice girl, but she seems like someone who wants attention ALL THE TIME.

      • Audrey says:

She knows what she has to do to stay relevant. But this year feels like the bare minimum.

If she wanted attention, she would have brought Nicholas Boulton for the carpet. Her dress would have been more interesting. She wouldn’t repeat a jewelry style (the backwards necklace)

She knows people are tiring of her. She knows she’ll be promoting the hunger games and xmen shortly and will have to do carpets and press. So I definitely believe she chose to have a low key awards season.

I expect her to do promo work, lay low and pick up a couple low key indie roles. We’ll see though.

      • pru says:

A common characteristic with most actors, I think. Most are pretty hammy.

    • ivy says:

      @ Audrey
She would have been surrounded by paps the moment her car pulled up. She knew she was being filmed.

  14. Lark says:

I’m not sure how Jared and his family laughing at Ellen mimicking Jennifer is heckling? His point was that they were laughing too hard and too long at Ellen’s joke…it’s not like they started laughing at her out of the blue. Isn’t heckling usually being obnoxious on purpose in an attempt to annoy someone? He seemed to be joking in the interview….he doesn’t seem to be seriously accusing her of falling on purpose.

I like Jennifer for the most part. I dislike how OTT the backlash can get towards female celebrities, and I dislike how there are major double standards towards male and female celebrities. However, I’m getting a bit RME at this impossible pedestal she’s put on top of…and how much of a stretch there is to excuse her behavior at times (even if Jared’s family was laughing, she’s been in this business long enough to stay on script) and how someone can’t even mildly joke about her without being slaughtered by the press.

  15. als says:

I see nothing wrong to ‘jokingly’ set someone straight (that in her turn ‘jokingly’ and publicly reprimanded his family). I don’t think Leto rides any wave at all, never did and never will, people just liked him a bit because of Rayon, otherwise he has an act of his own of saying whatever is on his mind that never makes one popular. So, he has nothing to lose.
Lawrence is a 23 year old darling that will always strive to be the most popular and probably will be, but she has enough protectors in this world, can we just leave it at that?
Her bit on stage was stupid and a little agressive and maybe she should have ‘jokingly’ apologized.
And I am starting to hate the word ‘backlash”because it is used excessively and it just provides an easy way out from some realistic observations on a person/ topic/ behavior, etc. As time moves on, we all do, we get to now people more, we observe more, it’s not backlash, it’s life. Why should people fear backlash if what they offered during the Oscar campaign or any campaign/ event is something relatively close to reality?

  16. Audrey says:

Just read her friend’s article. Everyone needs to. Love it

  17. Dani2 says:

An actress acting? Say it ain’t so!

  18. ashley says:

He’s just joking!!! Calm down people,it’s not that serious. If you watch jared’s interviews you’ll know that,he loves to laugh and have fun.

  19. HHazel says:

I don’t think either fall was on purpose. She just got out of the car and fell over a cone, if it was on purpose she would have done it when more people could see her.

I think he is just poking fun of the people who think she was faking it, but he shouldn’t have said anything at all. It’s just feeding everyone who is after her and comes of rude.
And she would’ve been soooo much better off just sticking to the script it was completely unnecessary when she was presenting. I like her but she is not doing herself any favors, I think she fells like she has to be “on” all the time because everyone is expecting her to be the fun/goofy one.

  20. ncboudicca says:

Where did he get those shoes in the last photo? Pope Benedict’s yard sale when he moved out of the Vatican?

  21. P.J. says:

Wow. This entire assessment of a few words obviously said kindly and in jest seems way over the top in its harshness factor.

Is no one allowed to point out anything remotely unflattering about Jennifer Lawrence now?? Give me a break! I was sort of with him btw, about the fall in particular. Between the first Oscar’s fall last year, the “randomly” unravelling dress around that time and now ANOTHER Oscars fall? Idk. I just don’t see how these attention grabs (ok, I’ll give her the first fall) are any more acceptable than Anne H’s during her time as the Academy’s sweetheart before her inevitable fall from the pedestal and we tore her APART for them around here. (Limo exiting beav flash, pink nip dress, etc.)

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I’m not a Jennifer Lawrence fan at all. Jokes about bodily functions haven’t struck me as especially funny since I was about 12, so his shade towards her doesn’t bother me at all.

What bothers me about this is that here’s a guy who just had a dream come true. He just won an Oscar. I would think this would be the time to be happy, and generous and gracious, not snarky and catty, which is how that remark about the act struck me. I wasn’t there, and sometimes things come off sounding worse in writing than they did in real life. I don’t know, he just seems petty to me. I’ve heard a lot of other bad things about him in the last few days, about him being rude and even cruel to fans, etc., so that might be influencing my opinion as well.

  22. Talie says:

I think this phantom backlash has been cooked up by the media — I see no evidence that people have turned on her. My only barometer is Anne Hathaway or Gwyneth and it’s nowhere close to that. Not even a little bit.

  23. Az says:

That outfit in the last two photos is fantastic. He looks like Hipster Jesus.

    • minime says:

      …or morphing into Russell Brand

Love his movies but the guy needs to slowly go away for some time. He’s staring to sound obnoxious.

  24. toto says:

This whole article is wrong, Leto was laughing at Ellen moves at backstage when Jennifer saw him she got upset and asked why you laughing , you think that’s funny, most people noticed it. she was not seeing what Ellen was doing, so from her weird reaction he started to think that the fall might not be all natural.
even Mathew thought Jennifer was talking to him and he felt strange.

  25. shellybean says:

Oh good grief, I think he was joking. He’s not the first one to joke about that. She fell two years in a row, so of course that was a joke waiting to happen.

  26. Lucy says:

They know each other. I’m sure he was just joking around and she knows it. Doubt it’s that big of a deal, really.
EDIT: Her friend’s report is pure awesome. Go read it!!!

  27. bettyrose says:

JLaw’s BFF’s article was great. The whole being treated as a subhuman thing happened to me once because I had the nerve to be standing on a city street in L.A.

    • Eleonor says:

It was, the part about Brad Pitt smells is pure gold.

    • idk says:

It was such a great read !

    • chloe says:

I was shocked about all of the religious protestors before the they got to the theatre….crazy stuff. And I was to know who the couple of weirdos was at Madonna’s party, any guess’s? It’s nice to see a everyday person’s thoughts on the show and it sounds like J-Law is a cool friend and I now want to smell Brad Pitt.

      • bettyrose says:

The one time I stood outside the Oscars (across the street) it was so packed with nutters I could barely see the arriving limos over their hate filled signs. I’m sure it’s like a mini vacay for the Westboro folks. Sun, glamour, crazy antics.

  28. Lucy2 says:

I think he said it as a joke, but put in print like that it sounds worse.

  29. Dee Dee says:

Yes, he may have said it as a joke but in reality meant it as a take down. If you have nothing good to say about your fellow peer than say nothing at all. He doesn’t know Jennifer well enough to make jokes about her. Leto is a bit too arrogant for my taste.

Jennifer doesn’t need or deserve all of this because his statement is causing a lot of negative talk/backlash for her.

  30. holly says:

So, just to clarify, Jennifer Lawrence is not allowed to be normal and clumsy and Jared Leto is a douche. Yes?

    • minime says:

      +1000

I can so much be empathetic about this. I’m super clumsy and it doesn’t seem to get better from acknowledging it. I almost destroyed the wedding’s jacket of my best friend with make-up, I got a ring stuck in the wedding’s dress of a friend (almost ripping it apart) and I’m always full of bruises from falling, going against things and so on and so forth…I think people read to much into what seems to be simple clumsiness.

And the double standard is amazing. If she would be cracking up in front of Jared when he was accepting his Oscar, I would like to see if people would be so supportive about it as they are now. It’s basic, you’re not laughing on someone’s face when they are on a stage. Anyone who ever spoke in front of a big audience knows that nothing can be more distracting than that. Good she commented on it.

  31. Source says:

OMG. I’m a fan of Jennifer’s, not a FAN of Jennifer’s, and I truly cannot understand why people have chosen to hate her. She’s acting like herself, and people are just so judgmental.

“Oh, she fell again! ACT!” “Oh! She had food in her purse! ACT!” “Oh, she laughed at a joke. ACT!” “She said in an interview she likes breathing. ACT!”

She’s a cute girl with a great personality who never comes off like she’s better than everyone else. As she fell, as many mentioned, she grabbed her friend’s neck, which is what you naturally do when you fall. You grab onto whatever is there.

I also am on the fence about Jared. If he didn’t have douchey tendencies, I’d say he was really joking. But he does, so that leaves me wondering.

    • CC says:

+1 That sums it up for me.

And I really hate the double standards. The guy is always assumed to be joking/having a sense of humor//whatever, the girl always assumed to be a bitch/an act.

I don’t know what’s true in this all but I hate this double standard.

    • Liv says:

Agree with both of you. I can’t believe that people really think she staged the fall. Please. And Jared Leto is a despicable human being. What an ass. Let’s talk about his compete for attention when bringing up the subject on Jennifer, not vice versa.

  32. tracy says:

If she is in it for the long haul, Jennifer needs to tone it down. Her reaction on stage, while understandable, she should have just done her job as presenter. As a presenter, it is not about you, it is about the people up for the award. She is obviously a quirky girl, but she runs the risk of turning in to Robin Williams, Taylor Swift or Goldie Hawn. Robin Williams is always 100 jokes in five minutes, annoying in interviews. Taylor Swift will still be the wide eyed “I can’t believe I just won the award” , at 40. And Goldie is stuck in the quirky, funky wild child, at 60. Jennifer needs to tone it down. Not every interview/redcarpet moment needs to be over the top.

  33. Marx says:

I didn’t see it but she probably mentioned it because it was him being a douche. Whatever Ellen was doing I’m sure Jared and his family weren’t the only ones seeing it and laughing. They must have been laughing obnoxiously more than the others for her to notice. And as GoodNamesAllTaken stated above, he just had a dream come true, he should be feeling gracious and generous, instead he’s arrogant and makes a joke that is obviously intended to create or add to the backlash against her. For him the Oscar is about status, he’s not a very intelligent, insightful, or emotive actor, so the only way he can get noticed as one is by gaining a lot of weight for a role, or playing a transgender person. I wish that role had gone to someone else who could’ve worked with it, and I wish the oscar had gone to another actor. He sucks as a musician too, his band is terribly mediocre. Let the Jared backlash begin.

  34. Samantha25 says:

I’m surprised that people are taking Jared so seriously. I saw the original interview and he was clearly joking. It’s on the internet if anybody cares enough to see it. There was no bitchiness or meanness In his comment.

  35. Lunchcoma says:

Jared is obviously joking, but I’m not a huge fan of this particular kind of joke between people who don’t know each other well. I think it would have come across differently if someone who knew her, like Josh Hitcherson, had made it.

As for the fall, I rolled my eyes when it happened, but I think it’s unlikely it was staged. That’s some tricky acting to get it right in one take, and I dont think she’d knock over a buddy to get attention. Jennifer’s friend sounds like a cool person, which makes me think well of her. That being said, I think JLaw should either practice walking in heels or make arrangements to get some stylish flats, like most other women who are on the clumsy side do.

  36. TheCountess says:

He said what most of us are thinking.

And seriously, MySpace? J-Law, even your so-called BFF is trying too hard.

    • mimi says:

Is this the same friend who is also a PA to JenLaw? I remember JenLaw talking about her best friend being her PA in an interview.

Do people still use MySpace? LOL

  37. JoJo says:

I don’t think her fall was an act at all. That said, I’m totally fine with Jared. They were laughing at Ellen – big deal! I would have bee laughing at that too. As for him mentioning that maybe this is all an act, he clearly could have been joking. Even if he wasn’t though, I don’t really care. I do like Jennifer, I think she is a “good” actress. That said, I think she is being dangerously overrated by Hollywood, which is putting her in a difficult position. They are basically peaking her at 23! Where can she go from here. That said, I get that she’s just a “normal person” and “just like the rest of us”, but I don’t act like her nor do most people I know. This “crass” thug she puts on – and maybe it’s really authentic – is still just that … crass, and I really do find it offputting. People latch onto it because it stands out as so different and “refreshing”, but I don’t see it that way at all. What I see as refreshing is Amy Adams. Someone who is polite, gracious, respectful and truly grateful to be where she is today. Jennifer could take a page from that book.

    • Val says:

Wow, +1000. You pretty much nailed it for me, way better than I could have said myself. I do enjoy watching her on screen, but offscreen, the word is that… crass. I get that she’s trying to rebel and be different, but there is a time and place, not OTT all the time. Inevitably it will get on people’s nerves.
And if she felt this backlash was coming, she should have toned it down overall, not just going to less award shows, but not making herself noticed (that terrible SAG interview, the GG comments, etc..). That would have helped her, I think. At least her PR team should have thought of it.

I’m also put off by the amount of worship she gets… on websites like Vulture, you won’t see a SINGLE comment that isn’t about how awesome she is (I’ve looked) it’s eye-roll inducing.

  38. JoJo says:

    Meant “thing”, not “thug”. 🙂

  39. Narsa says:

I think j law might have a medical condition & needs to get that checked out , she is having trouble with her balance gait & coordination being accident prone clumsy her whole life is one thing but vertigo or mineirs is another ..

  40. Fan says:

Intentional or not, that was rude.

I really don’t think she was faking it. Why would she want to be known as the girl who falls down all the time?

I just thought the comment was pretty rich coming from a douchebag who has been putting on an act of his own the last few months. Am I the only one incredibly irritated that THIS guy got an Oscar?

    • Steff says:

I am irritated too, I thought his ego couldn’t get any bigger but tah dah: here they give him an Oscar. Not good for his mental health.

he’s only telling the truth..jennifer lawrence seems like a bossy bitch and i’m sick of her

  43. diva says:

I agree with him. Her cutesy I’m like everyone else gimmick is tiresome. This girl is a professional actress and she can’t walk in heels and a dress AND she just happen to fall at the Oscar’s 2 years in a row? *rolls eyes*

  44. As someone who is personally very clumsy, I would probably believe that JLaw fell on accident. Especially since that red dress looks like the waddling type.

  45. homegrrrrl says:

It’s extremely tempting to the fairness Gods, this behavior of amplifying her falling star while his is on the rise. It would be extremely prudent of him to be gracious and kind to all during this time of fleeting infallibility.

  46. Caroline says:

I’m sure Jennifer practiced walking in those heels for hours before the Awards just to avoid such a fall. The fall was probably fake..too much coincidence to be real.

    He is totally Jordan Catalano.

  48. Megan says:

I’m not a fan of Jared, but I’m pretty sure he’s spot on the JLaw putting on an act. She’s super annoying and ditzy, but no one calls her out because “OMG she’s like the best thing eveeeer and shut up haters you’re just jealous” lol

I agree with Jared. But I still and kinda grossed out by him

  49. Double 07 says:

Even her friends are annoying. I totally loved that read, very interesting. And that Harvey Weinstein quote is so Harvey. Great! I wish I had a famous friend now haha
