I can’t believe I went through the entire awards season and I NEVER remembered that Angelina Jolie and Jared Leto had worked together before. They worked together (briefly) on Oliver Stone’s Alexander, the epic flop released in 2004. To be fair, I don’t remember them having any scenes together, but I haven’t seen that movie in years and years, and all I really remember is Angelina’s sketchy accent work, Colin Farrell’s bad dye job and how overwhelmingly awful the movie is. But it was said, at the time, that Angelina cut a wide swath through her costars in that film. She filmed Alexander just before she came to LA to film Mr. & Mrs. Smith (where she met Brad and the whole gossip world changed forever), and it was said that Angelina was banging one or more of her costars. Costars like: Colin Farrell, Val Kilmer and Jared Leto. The Colin rumors were the ones that stuck around – if I remember correctly, they went camping with Maddox – but there was some ink about Kilmer and Leto too, to lesser degrees. So… did this awards season bring back any old memories for Leto and Jolie? Huh.
Angelina rekindled a relationship with an ex-flame and it’s touched off World War III between her and a jealous Brad Pitt. Angelina indulged in a top secret romance with Jared Leto after they costarred in ‘Alexander,’ and she recently set up a meeting with the hunk to supposedly discuss future film projects.
But Brad is accusing her of “gunning for a second chance with Jared,” revealed an insider. “He assumed Jared was part of Angie’s checkered past. And when she went behind his back to reach out to him again, Brad was crushed. He blew up, but Angie claims her interest is totally innocent. Brad knows that Angie used to be in love with Jared. Brad and Angie have always grappled with trust issues and now their problems are threatening to boil over.”
“Some of Angie’s friends think she settled for Brad after being rejected by Jared,” a source says about Angelina’s circa 2003 relationship with Jared. But Jared was not entirely out of the picture, as a source says she may not have completely cut ties with him while Brad was falling in love with her. “She wasn’t willing to commit to Brad until he ditched Jennifer Aniston. And when she started secretly seeing Jared again, it broke Brad’s heart.”

Blah, blah, jealousy, tears, slamming doors, The Leg of Doom and the Biscuit of Lies. If you want to spin me a tale of Angelina and Jared Leto hooking up a decade ago, sure, I’m there. I would enjoy hearing that story. But let’s not cast Leto as some SuperDong, the guy who dumped Angelina (?!?!) and left her broken-hearted, and so she only stayed with Brad all this time to make Jared jealous. That makes zero sense. Also: now I’m even more convinced that Angelina was in fact banging Colin Farrell on and off for more than a year, from late 2003 into early 2005. The timeline makes sense, and Colin seemed way more into Angelina than Jared Leto ever did.
And in case you haven’t had your fill of all things Brangelunatic, here’s a nicer story about Angelina “gifting” Brad with a baby. Sort of. It’s more like she’s promised Brad that they’ll have one more:

I tend to think that if Angelina and Brad want another kid, they’ll probably adopt. I just don’t see how either of them would want to put Angelina’s body through anything else, especially since her 2008 pregnancy (with the twins) was so difficult. So, it might be surrogacy, but considering they’ve already adopted three kids, I just think they would go for adoption again. But who knows if they would even want another kid? If they have another boy, maybe they’ll name him Jared.

Exactly. One sexy cast, an important director, one of the most interesting stories ever (Alexander the Great), a huge budget, and here we are….an awful movie that I couldn’t even watch for more than half an hour. A simple documentary about Alexander would have been by far a better entertainment.
I know, right? I was confused how a talented bunch of people managed to make a story about an incredibly fascinating person so boring.
I only made it because it was on dvd—so I fastforwarded to all of Angelina’s parts. She was literally the best and only interesting character in the movie.

I wouldn’t even be sure that they spent a lot of, if any time together on the set. I saw the movie (only because of Angelina, and trust me–Angelina was the best part and they should’ve just made a movie about Olympias–she was great), and Angelina and Jared didn’t have any scenes together. She was in it for maybe an hour out of the whole three and a half hours (I saw the complete film, nothing taken out), and Leto was in it even less than that. If anything happened between her and Leto, it would’ve been during the post production, I would think, unless Leto hung around the set. And dang, Angelina wasn’t lying when she said she was getting around during that post Billy Bob, pre Brad time frame. I know she was banging Johnny Lee Miller (I wonder why they didn’t get back together?….that was a hot pairing, he looks like a shy nerd, and she looks like she does her best to eat him up every night…maybe they knew that their relationship was friendship and really great sex), and God only knows who else.

Well yeah, I could see them, in theory, hooking up—is Angelina into breath play, though? I wouldn’t say they absolutely didn’t hook up, but just saying that I saw the movie and they didn’t have any scenes together–most of her scenes were with Colin, and Jared’s scenes were mostly when they did those battle sequences and banquets. But who knows? Angelina isn’t telling–I’d love to see a list.

Someone debunked this in one the last Angelina Jolie stories here (one or two days ago). Evidently, Angie was talking about ‘one’ guy and she had stopped seeing him two or three years prior to the time she made the ‘meeting discretely in hotels’ comment in the March 2005 “Vanity Fair” interview . That time-frame makes sense because Angie and Billy Bob Thornton divorced in 2002.

That can’t be right. She’s had two marriages and two engagements, so that is four right there. She mentioned having a few lovers post Billy and pre Brad. I also vaguely remember a high school boyfriend she did knife play with during sex. She has also admitted having sex with more than one woman.

Johnny Lee Miller and his wife have attended Angie’s premiers and I think one of Brads. BBT said he is friendly with them both. So I guess the jealousy comes and goes.

I call B.S on both Jared and Colin. Main reason for B.S. on Colin is because Angelina was asked and answered outright, several times, and denied it. So did Colin. IDGAF what Colin says, but Angelina, IMO, doesn’t lie. She said it didn’t happen and so it didn’t. She even explained why – said she and Colin were very similar.
That said, I have no doubt any one of those guys were entranced with Angelina, because they all pretty much said it. But Angelina denied outright the Colin Farrell rumors of a relationship as did he (though he said he sure wanted one), and I have never heard of any serious Leto or Kilmer speculation and I’ve been a fan for years.
This sounds like an effort to attack Angie as usual, with some predictable tabloid-esque, ‘Wild child Angelina and a bunch of young sexy guys on set = throw down orgies!!’
More importantly, both of these people (Brad and Angelina) love each other up to the hilt – jealousy tends to only take root when there are insecurities, and from what everyone says, Angelina loves her man (even Johnny Depp kept saying it after having been around her so much while filming…that might have even been what spurred him to try and capture that level of adoration elsewhere…maybe he and Vanessa had lost that, if they ever had it).
Brad to me is clearly at his best and most confident since he’s been with Angelina, and that doesn’t come from always worrying that someone’s going to step out on you in between trips to wartorn hot spots, and birthing your children. Ditto Angelina.
As an admirer of Angelina’s, I’ve noticed a lot of people don’t seem to ‘get’ her or put another way, they PRETEND they don’t.
Angelina is big on commitment, and loyalty. That’s why she claimed only a handful of lovers in her life while doing that Babs Walters interview, and most of those she married, lol. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but she’s kind of an intense, ride or die kind of a gal. That’s why she married twice before the age of 23. Indiscriminate, casual effing isn’t really what she’s about (not saying she has no needs, while being Mom, and after being celibate for a year, she famously said she had ‘lovers’ – rumored to be 2 at diff times, one was JLM, already a loyal past love…for her, that trust and knowledge someone has you and your child’s best interests at heart would be key – so yeah, they were already good friends and people she trusted).
Indiscriminate effing, and then trying to cajole and hope one of them turns into your love of the century is not her cup of tea, IMO. She strikes me as a person who needs to see someone’s cards, know you are down for her and her family. In fact she’s said as much. She’s passionate and feels deeply and wants it returned, period.
She has that with Brad, and he has that with her.

Secondly, everyone lies, including Angie. Just because she was to some an open book, doesn’t mean she told the truth on everything she was asked. Get over it. If she did have intimate relations with said people does that make her a bad person, no it does not. But it’s frightening to know that there are fans of hers that think that everything out of Angie’s mouth is truth. It does border on the line of obsession.

V4Real, I understand where you’re coming from. I once made some kind of innocuous comment about Zahara, and was called racist and told to “own” it. Obviously nobody here knows me, but racist is the last thing that I’d be called if they did, and therefore, is probably one of the worst things (in my mind) to be called. I have several biracial family members, and no the comment was not regarding her hair.
People read sources other than Celebitchy, that are militantly anti-Angelina. They then seem to carry the memory of those comments into this site. I constantly read comments with people upset because AJ’s children are wished dead, Angelina has received death threats, the children are called racist words, etc. I’ve never seen comments remotely that negative here. I fully understand how horrific those comments are, and I blame no one who gets upset by them, but those people are not the people who comment here.

Wow, what a contradiction to what you said in the first quote. It reads like you’re saying in the ‘second’ quote that even though–in this case–Angie and Collin both denied the affair, they both lied and we all should know it.

If I were a celebrity, I would deny hooking up with co-stars on set too even if I were single. Really, it’s none of the tabloids’ business if you’re having a bit of fun with a co-star. Because if you admit that you’ve hooked up with a co-star, they will immediately run with it and that co-star becomes “your ex” or “someone you try to avoid at red carpets because one of you broke the other’s heart” when all it ever was in reality, was a casual easygoing thing that you’ve long since moved on from.
So I think it would be justifiable for Angelina to lie about having some casual stuff going on with Colin Farrell or Jared Leto or whoever fleetingly while filming and/or promoting Alexander. If she admitted to it, she would probably be slut shamed (more than she is already) and there would be stories around for decades how she broke Farrell’s heart or vice versa. Tabloids will also list of all the people she’s been linked with in the past.

Eh, it wouldn’t have mattered if she denied it or not–they still would’ve printed the story, and others like it. After Angelina divorced Billy Bob, on every movie that she worked on after that, they hooked her up with her co stars. I remember one interview from when she did Taking Lives–the interviewer asked her about one of the tabloid stories.
Angelina brought Maddox to a baseball game w/the rest of the cast. During the game, she stood next to Oliver Martinez, and (separately) with Ethan Hawke–talking to both of them. The paps took pictures of both incidents, and made it into a love triangle.

Billy Bob Thornton: 2-3 years
Brad Pitt: 9+ years
She is now 38 years old. Sixteen of her adult years has been spent with a husband or a longtime partner. She did date Timothy Hutton as well. But Colin, Jared, Val Kilmer? They are not her type. The only temptation I see is Colin and it was clear that she said no. Angelina actually does care about her career and has been smart about her intimate relationships. She has been lucky in that she experienced relationships where men wifed her. Brad is CLEARLY the alpha male of her life, hands down. Brad chased her around the world. He made her fall in love with him and have his babies, even when she stated she did not originally want to bear any children.

@blackjack, calm down! First of all, I will apologise for calling you delusional. It was a little harsh but I simply meant that it’s delusional to assume that you know Jolie and know that she always tells the truth. You can’t know that for sure. From what I’ve seen of her in interviews, I don’t think she’s the liar or manipulator that the tabloids make her out to be. I appreciate how she answers questions in interviews head on and that she doesn’t have a publicist to hide behind. I think for the most part, Jolie is a very truthful person but when it comes to fickle stuff about who she is sleeping with, I think in some cases it’s easier, justified even, to deny having a casual, largely unimportant relationship with someone over confirming it and then having tabloids write about it for months, perhaps years on end. I am not unintelligent. I am aware that the tabloids will write about things like that anyway but denying instead of confirming every relationship she’s in will probably make things easier for her. At least that’s how I’d be if I were a celebrity. If I were a celebrity, I would only confirm my actual relationship as opposed to people I’m rumoured to have hooked up with.
Secondly, I hold nothing against Angelina Jolie, I’m not calling her a liar and I do not wish to “kick her in the teeth”. My comment wasn’t hateful or derogatory so there’s no need for the hyperbole. I think she’s a very good actress, a talented director, incredibly beautiful and committed and I admire her humanitarian work most of all. I honestly don’t care much about the tabloid BS or who Jolie is or used to hook up with. That doesn’t interest me at all. I’m interested in who a celebrity is as a whole rather than the little bits of gossip that filter through every year. I don’t gullibly believe every single tabloid rumour and Angelina Jolie is most likely telling the truth. I don’t care which co-stars she did or didn’t bang. I’m just saying that she is very much justified in denying hooking up with co-stars and we can’t say for sure that she didn’t hook up with someone. I’m not judging her for that and I’m not saying she did for sure. I’m just saying that people are free to speculate either way because it may or may not be true and to say that she’s most definitely telling the truth like you know her personally just strikes me as a bit odd.

Personally, I felt Blackjack came off a little hostile towards me over what was mostly just an innocuous comment about not always believing whether a celebrity is truthful or not. She basically accused me of being gullible, hateful towards Jolie, biased when it comes to Aniston and bitter. And I don’t think my original comment came across that way at all. If it came across that way to others, then I’m sorry. Hence the “calm down” followed by the exclamation mark. Maybe the hostility came from me using the term delusional which I have since apologised for. The comment wasn’t meant to state that she was a complete lunatic but rather a mostly generalised, “It’s delusional to assume you know a celebrity’s true personality”. My original comment wasn’t even addressed to her in the first place.
Anyway my original comment was moreso a reflection on how celebrities probably don’t always tell the truth regarding romantic relationships because it’s just easier not to fuel that fire further with the tabloids. BRAD has no reason to be jealous of anyone. His last year has been incredibly successful. I was thinking of the story from his Elle interview, doofus (I was remembering the story as being in an outdoor ruin, but apparently it was just a ruin of a building). A lot of people think this is about Angelina, as Alexander would have been filming on location around Christmas:
“Okay, then. What’s the smallest, most intimate gesture?
I’m just trying to weed out the gold-diggers. [Laughs] I once spent a night with somebody in a ruin of a building in a very faraway land. There was no heat. It was dilapidated—about as unromantic as you could imagine. But we lit a fire and had sleeping bags and wine and a shitty old portable DVD player. The battery died halfway through It’s a Wonderful Life. That didn’t really matter. It wasn’t about getting to the end.”
The only reason I believe Angelina is because I think she’s an honest person who wouldn’t lie and for no reason. She said nothing happened with Farrell, nothing happened.
I know women find it hard to believe she doesn’t care what people think, but there’s no reason why she wouldn’t admit to getting close with Colin Farrell if in fact, she had indeed done so. NOTHING was coming between her and Maddox, nothing.
Colin as we all know (or have learned since), had major issues with drink and drugs. Why people insist that Angelina had to have effed him at least once or two times, is more a reflection on their own inability to see Farrell as utterly resistable. Please get help for that. lol

I think she was interested in being a responsible mother to her son, and the last thing she would have needed was Colin Farrell, or Jared Leto, or starting anything up on the set of a film with whomever. She wouldn’t have done it because that’s not who she is, in my opinion, and secondly, she wouldn’t have wanted any kind of lack of professionalism and decorum to be following her around as new mom to Maddox. Her crazy Dad had already almost ruined things as is.

I think tabloids are worried as all of their “stories” going back ten years have not come about, so they just switch names and go forward hoping something will stick. Leto is off chasing Lupita around the world, but somehow it is Angelina that is impressed with him, so Brad has to be jealous. Were there any photos of them together at the Oscars at all, so this story is just so odd. Tabloids hate how really dull this couple is. They disappear for weeks and months at a time (has anyone seen them since the Oscars?), so folks just get crazy I guess.
The old Angelina, the man eater thing is old. I want to see the pictures of the two of them making fools of themselves on the set of Maleficent to get Vivienne to do her part. That sounds more interesting to me (from an actual interview she gave with USAToday, not sources from Star).

True dat, she’s is so cute and funny on the Behind the Scenes MAMs stuff. She acts like a little kid. She says she’s dorky all the time – no one believes her. But people who know her, say it all the time.
That is one of the biggest misconceptions about Angie, that she has not sense of humor. If you look at some of her previous interviews she has such a witty , quick witted and dry sense of humor. Johnny Depp has said that she has a very subversive sense of humor and I have read about other people that she has worked with (her stunt double for instance) who also say that she has a great sense of humor.

I know what you mean. I think it’s a protective sort of reserve she puts up, and has seemed to have began once she became a mom and UN rep and wanted to be taken more seriously. It has come off as humorless to me, too. It seems like only recently she has become more comfortable with loosening up, for example that Oscars selfie with Ellen seemed uncharacteristically light and goofy for her.
I think that she has a sense of humor but she doesn’t “do comedy well”, or we’d have seen her in more roles like that.

@ Esmom, perhaps it “seems like only recently she has become more comfortable with loosening up….” is due to the serious medical issues she faced and she just wants to enjoy life and has decided she can now be more relaxed in public. Her mother and aunt died young, so she knows what can happen. She has always been relaxed and loosened up around her friends and family, there have been numerous stories and comments about that through the years from people who know her or have met her.
From watching several interviews like John Stewart, Jay Leno, Ellen and Inside the Actor’s Studio, she does have a sly sense of humor. I think she became really defensive with all the hostility aimed at her and just shut down.

I’ve always found her face (and I mean like her resting face) to be snooty….like she has that haughty look about her. Which is why I’m surprised that she doesn’t have all the major fashion labels (Dior, Versace, McQueen, et al) beating down her door to be their spokesperson–maybe she does, and doesn’t want to deal with a fashion contract. Angie may have had difficulties towards the end of both her pregnancies. Shiloh was delivered by c-section on May 27, 2005 and her original due date was June 3, 2005. And don’t you remember when Angie was admitted to the hospital in France a couple of weeks before the twins were born by c-section? Many women become hypertensive (high blood pressure) towards the end of their pregnancies, so what happened with both of Angie’s pregnancies wasn’t ‘unusual’ difficult.
Now, I ‘do’ think all of those ‘hook up’ tales are lies. Notice how the Tabloid used ‘assumed’ a lot. That means there was never any prove to those rumors; which is why they let them drop a decade ago.
Shiloh was a breech baby, thus the c section. I’m not sure it would have been rec to have a vaginal birth for the twins after the c with Shiloh. Brad & the dr indicated that the bedrest was because it was pretty tiring for Angie with the other 4 young kids at home..Angie told a sweet story about how Brad had to pick up the kids for Angie to hug because she was too big to scoop them up.
Angelina has spoken extensively and in some cases, her detractors would say given TMI about her pregnancies, if she had had “difficulties,” believe me, we’d know. The Shiloh birth was regimented like clockwork, and I don’t recall anyone ever inferring we changed the date of the C-section, or we changed the date because of difficulty, so yeah – fail. As for the hospitalization to await the birth of the twins, that’s the practical and smart thing you suggest as a physician, when you’re tasked with delivering the most famous twin offspring on the planet, again nothing was suggested in any reputable source that it was due to “difficulty.” There are so many people ready to revise the facts where this woman is concerned, I’m sure they’d have her on an IV drip, fainting constantly throughout her 9 months of pregnancy if they could – if only to point out it’s because she’s too thin and continue their self righteous body shaming of her that they’ve been at for 10 years. Someone in a previous Jolie thread already tried to infer she wasn’t “terribly fit,” despite her high flying stunt work on movies, daunting schedule, 3 births in 3 years, carrying two kids at once constantly, traveling into war torn and disease riddled countries — no reason or evidence was given for this opinion of theirs of course, just that they detected no ‘muscle tone,’ in pics (none linked) and of course, their ‘go to,’ …skinny.

I think Collin Farrell and her were banging for a good couple of years but she dropped him as soon as she met Brad. I think she genuinely fell in love with Brad and I think she just wanted semi-discreet sex and companionship out of Collin until she could find a more complete package. Collin didn’t seem to be the commitment type then or even now. You never saw him with her 2 oldest kids.

VC I believe it is unwise to have several pregnancies after having a C section, or too soon after one. She had already two c sections after the twins, and after that they seemed to settle for 6 children due ,most probably to all the work and logistics of having those two babies.
Then she found out about the Gen. If they ever adopt again, it will be after A J gets her second surgery and recuperates, but I doubt they will start over again.
I think that they will continue to make a difference through their help, charities and foundations in Diff. Countries
