Do you remember some of the PR stories that came out about Demi Moore in the wake of her split with Ashton Kutcher? They involved Demi dancing, looking sexy and being admired by younger men, Demi dating various younger men and sometimes being conveniently photographed out with them, and most recently Demi vacationing with her latest younger man. So Demi has a strategy for making it seem like she’s completely over Ashton. It’s all about trying to look sexy and young although it usually has to opposite effect.
In the wake of the news that Ashton and Mila Kunis are engaged and expecting a baby, Demi is putting her plan into effect. She’s going to stage a bikini photo op, as usual. That’ll show them!
The actress is in a bad place following the news Ashton is expecting his first child with fiancee Mila Kunis.
“Demi is struggling to deal with the news,” a source said.
“She wants to flee the country as she knows the paparazzi are waiting to get a picture of her looking sad.
“Instead, she’s planning to go abroad, get herself together and make sure she’s photographed looking amazing on the beach in a bikini.”
Sources previously revealed that Demi is “jealous” of Mila.
Kutcher and Moore finalized their divorce last November.
“Demi is very jealous of Mila,” a source says. “She always has been.
“She was jealous of Mila’s red-hot career before she even got together with Ashton.
“Now that Mila has her man and is expecting a child with him, Demi has become a extremely bitter.”
As previously reported, Demi is upset at the pregnancy news.
“Demi is distraught,” a source says.
“During their marriage, Ashton and Demi were never on the same page about starting a family. She wanted to have children with him, but he was never ready.
“It’s a real kick in the teeth that he’s now starting a family with Mila.
“Ashton didn’t even have the courtesy to get in touch with Demi to let her know that Mila is pregnant and they were announcing the news. This would have given her the chance to get out of town while the news broke.”
The source is somewhat dubious, but even if this story is made up it’s not far off the mark. Demi just went on vacation to Mexico in January and was photographed hanging on her 27 year-old rocker boyfriend. She looked so thrilled and it was obvious that the pictures were staged. When Demi doesn’t want to be photographed, she doesn’t get her picture taken. So I can see her using this same tired strategy in order to pull focus from Mila and Ashton’s news.
I don’t believe the part of the story about how Ashton didn’t want to start a family with Demi. I think that they tried and it didn’t work out for them. Whatever the case, she just got officially divorced in November and this has got to sting. By trying to emphasize how hot she is, Demi just seems out of touch though. It’s like that’s all she has going on now. She looks great but that’s not the point.

Ashton is hardly a prize. And I say that as someone who does think Mila is cool and can’t see what either lady really likes in him.
Normally I would agree with you, but let’s face it, Demi went completely off the rails when they split up, so much that her daughters stopped speaking to her. I think desperate is pretty accurate in this case.
I don’t think demeaning Demi is demeaning all women. She strikes me as a dim bulb with the emotional maturity of a teenager. It’s disconcerting to see someone clearly not learning from her mistakes or gaining any wisdom about life in general as she fights aging every step of the way.

I give that a marriage break-up is devastating. But it is time for her to make some more productive choices for herself and that includes avoiding reactive publicity to her ex.
I think that at her age and stage in life, she should be looking for the projects that will engage her for the second half of her life. She may look great, but devoting yourself to a revenge bikini shot seems incredibly immature for someone at her stage of life and worse sad for someone with her means. What most 50 years old women would give for the freedom she has to pursue any interest.
This exactly. I’m nearly 40 and look hotter in a bikini now than I did in my twenties (no surgery, just better workouts and more self-confidence), but I find my lifestyle isn’t really conducive to bikini wearing events. Heck, if I had her money, I would be so busy producing films, running charities, and getting pampered at the spa that my only bikini shots would be on the rare secluded island vacation (hey, no harm in occasionally calling the paps if I’m rich successful 50 something who still rocks a bikini, right?)
Yeah, I’m happy I can do the bikini thing at 50 and look pretty damned good, but I save that for Bahamas getaways. I’m more proud of my career and where that will take me for the next decades.
Completely agree, though my bikini days are pretty much over and I’m on to the one piece, that is hardly my top priority at my age.
Mila Kunis will never get $12 million for a movie – just hold onto that thought, Demi!
Oh man. I like Demi and want her to feel better but Mila’s still young. She could very well command that figure some day.

Demi has nothing to feel desperate about. She is super wealthy and looks great…she should just travel the world,get involved with charities and have a lot of fun!

I have a feeling that initially Demi & Ashton had an arranged relationship. I think she and her team wanted to spice up her image, and Ashton was tapped for the job and gladly accepted. Similar to Tom and Katie. I think things backfired for Demi though because she developed real feelings for Ashton, and while I don’t doubt that Ashton loved the spotlight with Demi, I doubt his feelings for her were very genuine. The best thing Demi could do for herself at this point is to really get behind producing movies or something, develop her business skills, and fix those damn teeth!

I agree and she’s not alone. There are a number of women who look good for their age, but seem desperate and miserable. I wonder if it’s because they focus too much of their energy (and time & money) on their looks. That’s got to be an empty existence. Hollywood is pretty brutal when it comes to aging women. They’ve got to have a strong foundation, not based on their looks, if they want fulfilling lives.
No one calls Helen Mirren desperate when she wears a bikini. Of course, she’s not taking selfies in the bathroom of herself.
FWIW – I think Demi is one of those women ::::cough:::: Madonna ::::cough:::: who can’t seem to get past their beautiful/sexy youthful selves and mature into middle age. That doesn’t mean being old, but realizing you’re not 25 anymore. I’m Demi’s age and if I were single, the thought of dating someone in their 20’s holds zero appeal to me.
I do think she had some kind of a breakdown over the demise of her marriage. I also think she’s over it. However, she needs to let go of what she used to be and embrace who she is now.
She’s not a 25 year old party-girl anymore.

Sorry – What “red hot career” did Mila Kunis have pre-Demi+Ashton (@2004)? I mean, she was doing great with 70s Show and Family Guy, but is that RED HOT??? All her film success has been much more recent, and very brief.
I’m old enough to remember Demi when she was on soap operas (General Hospital?). I remember reading an interview she did then and I was impressed. She was very smart, together, and very self-confident. How sad to see that she is going down the same road as so many beautiful women in Hollywood – obsessed with youth and trying every desperate measure to stay young (looking).
She needs to forget Ashton & get on with living a fabulous life – which does not include “revenge” photo shoots. She’s not fooling anyone, and the one person she would like to care most certainly doesn’t!
You can be a hot woman at that year – Just ask Helen Mirren and Susan Sarandon. But the difference between them and Demi Moore is confidence. Mirren and Sarandon don’t need bikini shots on the bathroom or need to prove they can’t compete with younger starlets, her maturity and confidence are the big deal of their sex appeal
I completely agree that she is misguided, emotionally immature, and needs to focus her attention on worthy projects. She has the money and resources to do really great things and come out looking like a winner and yet she decides to cling to youth- whether its her looks or her dates…and end looking desperate and pathetic. I would love to see her with a celeb her own age or older and then maybe she won’t get hurt
