I agree with Fabiola, Jake seems to be some sort of touchy, feely guy - those guys a girl can cry, laugh and talk trash with! So these guys are automatically considered as gay, but are at the same time probably the best straight lovers of all =P

I really don’t know if he is gay or not, and either way is fine by me, but if he were gay and did come “out” his paychecks would plummet. That’s the main reason actors that are gay have to stay in the closet.

I agree that these particular pictures make Jake seem like he has more than friendship on his mind, but that doesn’t necessarily mean anything. My best friend and I have a very intense and very non-sexual relationship simply because we have nearly everything in common and don’t know anyone else who knows us as well. I do think that because of Brokeback, Jake will never escape this particular brand of speculation. He’s a sensitive, sort of soft-ish dude, which is part of what makes him such a good actor. By the way, he was smokin’ hetero-hot in Proof.
I just hope that if he is gay or bi, that he is honest with his paramours so that no one is hurt, deceived, or given funky VD.

I sorta doubt he’s gay and the press have unfairly been focusing on his friendships with other men since BBM (I seem to remember he was hanging around a fair bit with Lance Armstrong or some other cyclist and the media got speculative).
But it would be kinda hot if these two were actually sleeping together.

I think gay people are bullies. There is no gay genome so to become gay is a choice like taking your coffe black no sugar. If you decide to be gay, be gay alone, don’t insist that others are gay too. It is like being attracted to Jane but you want to marry Susan because of her connections, there is no gene for marrying Jane, it is a choice to marry Jane or Susan regardless of the attraction.
Some times I see a beautiful woman and I am attracted to them but I love me P alot and frankly sex with a woman has never held any appeal though I can see a woman and I like them. I think it is normal but when I see a guy and am attracted to them, I want to pull off their pants. I don’t think am gay or even bi and since no one is born gay according to science, homosexuality is a self inflicted cross to bear.
Stop harrassing all decent looking blokes calling them gay. If they want they will be gay, if they don’t that again is their choice.

I still don’t see why ALL gay people are bullies. (There are bullies everywhere, gay and straight included.) Again, you seem to like to generalize across different types of people. It’s not a smart thing to do. It’s easier to generalize than it is to get to know each individual person for who they are. But it’s definitely not a fair or nice thing to do. Especially when most of your assumptions are negative.

Jeez, they look like they are out in public at a sports event. They don’t look gay too me. Seriously, anytime two guys are filmed in public, some people jump to the conclusion that they are gay. It seems a little ridiculous to me.

I totally understand you, Busy Body. In my case, I’m attracted to men sexually not with women. But I like women, I’ve had girlfriends. I mean, it’s hard to explain this thing because when i see a woman i don’t say like “god she’s so hot” but when i see a man i say he’s hot, so i’m probably Bi, i don’t know. Austin and Jake are good friends and they like to be together, smile together, what’s the problem with that?
