Just wanted to say something since my 14 year old duaghter is very involved in Peta. We have beeb vegetarians for over 10 years and it has made a big difference in ourlife Meat(beef) if you look closely actually has parasite, have you every seen where they put them to deah. I is an fact that vegetairians are more mello and not aggressive. Go Peta, go Peta you have our complete support.

I don’t “believe” in PETA but true to the principle of non-harming, I have to question the need for meat at EVERY meal. I mean, doesn’t your colon just roll thinking about it?
I have a pound puppy and 2 sponsored kids. And if I had the cash to throw at bling bling and furs, I would gladly give it away too – to help CHILDREN who are dying for want of a few pennies worth of food or medicine :.(

beside the point, and not to defend the head of PETA, ’cause they’re all assholes, but no diabetic meds are made from animal byproducts anymore.

Anyone who takes PETA seriously is pretty much ingnorant. It shouldn’t even be covered as a valid organisation whose opinion matters.
Has anyone done a google search on their poster celebrities? People like Pam Anderson are spokespeople for PETA and she wears leather and fur at times.
Even the head of PETA needs medication with animal byproducts (for diabities) and it’s perfectly okay.
PETA is a joke, well I wish it were a joke, but unfortunately people still take it seriously.

Annie is right. I live in VA and their headquarters is in Norfolk on the waterfront. Really nice piece of real estate by the way. They are always going to shelters posing as adoption candidates and then take the dogs and euthanize them.

In fact there are quite a few of their operatives in jail over that little ploy here in VA and in NC (where they were dumping the animals in garbage bins) that is the height of ethical treatment wouldn’t you say.

On the other hand, Maggie Gyllenhaal is a horrible dresser, fur or not.

Well, when you’re asking a question, it ends in a question mark, not a period.

I’m assuming that since you “appreciate” PETA, that you have no opinions of your own in fear of PETA being very disappointed in you, but there are far more important animal rights cases than who is wearing fur and holding grudges with people. I kind of thought that *a little bit less* bitchery coming from you and the rest of the spiteful elitists for PETA who you “appreciate” so much didn’t hold a place in your special little code, you being more “compassionate” than everyone else.

I figured that making snarky comments about people’s clothes was “below” you.

Like I said, this group you “appreciate” so much is much more vocal about dead f*cking animals than alive ones that are being mistreated, but until Hollywood and figures in popular culture start starving or beating their pets, it’s nowhere near trendy enough for you to acknowledge.

Some hick in West Virginia could be raping a pig right now, but you wouldn’t know because you’re too concerned with what someone is wearing, and ew, gross, god forbid you’d be caught in the middle of nowhere among *gasp* commonfolk AKA not in some upscale community full of celebrities, socialites, and carnies!

I’m sure that your moral compass known as PETA would probably just *die* if their names wouldn’t get enough press not being in association with all the pretty celebrities!

And no, threatening to firebomb a Mickey D’s does not qualify as a “real” problem…there are real f*cking crimes and animal violence that occuring right now as we speak. Instead of crying over who ate a cheeseburger for lunch or wore a leather jacket, at least pretend to give a damn about what’s happening to the animals that actually need attention for once!
