Did you know that Michelle Williams is playing Sally Bowles in the latest Broadway revival of Cabaret? She’s joined by Alan Cumming, who already played the Emcee back in the 1990s (he won a Tony for it too). These are photos from the opening party at Studio 54. Michelle wore Louis Vuitton to the party – she’s the current face of LV, so that makes sense. Thoughts on the ensemble? I’m okay with it, but I’m not crazy jazzed about it. This is from Nicolas Ghesquière’s first collection under the LV name. I don’t see much Balenciaga here.
I’m also including photos of Alan Cumming, who wore a bold tartan shorts-suit to the opening party. I’ve read some reviews of this revival, and Cumming is still delivering, apparently. Critics are mixed about Michelle’s performance though.
Guess who else came out to Studio 54? Oh, just Scarfy Depp and his young lover Amber Heard. These two just look so… bored. I kind of feel for Amber a little bit. She thought Johnny was going to make her into the next Angelina Jolie. But Scarfy just wants a pretty young thing on his arm and in his bed. I kind of hope Amber is knocked up – it would be a smarter career move for her than trying to get parts through Johnny. Also: check out Scarfy’s Saturday Night Fever suit!

Love love him in the Good wife… Maybe it’s some sort of costume, I think she is great too and she sort of keeps to herself you don’t hear/see much of her anywhere so you can keep a low profile if you choose.
Yeah, that dress has a lot going on, but she looks quite pretty in it.

Michelle Williams always looks guarded on the red carpet. It’s sad, because when you look back at the pictures of her and Ledger, especially during all the Brokeback season, there’s no denying that was one happy looking woman. Now, there is some fairly clear body language that she isn’t going to give anything away anymore.

Everytime I see Michelle, I get so sad. She looks like if someone even hinted at Heath, she’d burst into tears. On or off the red carpet, she never looks genuinely happy.
I just want to punch that stupid hat right off his head. I need to go for a run or something. I’m super annoyed by a rip in a hat. And a white suit. Yet, I am calm about a grown man in a plaid onsie. Go figure.

Michelle always looks great and I love women with short hair. She’s effortlessly beautiful. As for the outfit… I like it but could do without the belt. There’s too much going on in the chest/waist area.
That dress is Star Trek of the 70’s meets Woolrich rancher jacket. The bottom portion looks VERY ester/synthetic/ick. She’s cute, I like her, but I hate the dress.

The worst part about Alan Cumming’s outfit is he felt a cigarette was an appropriate accessory.
He’s channeling German expressionist painter Otto Dix’s 1920’s portrait of Sylvia von Harden. The cigarette, the monocle, the hair style, and the red plaid outfit are all in the painting.
The Derpps need to pretend to be enthusiastic or stay home. Their perceived bordum just cheeses me off for some reason. Maybe it’s just that one picture.

Johnny Depp looks like he stopped at Goodwill and bought a coat that was too big, boots worn by a hobo, and a suit with pants that need hemming. He found the hat in a nearby Goodwill dumpster, as they deemed it too ratty to sell. He looks like he smells.
I think she looks wonderful and she normally doesn’t make too many mistakes. She just always seems to have it together to me. And that is why I like her so!

Michelle looks great – I don’t personally love the dress but it works on her, and Alan is always wonderfully offbeat.
Johnny used to be wonderfully offbeat, but now it seems like he puts way too much effort into it, it’s costume-y.
I grieve for the former Johnny hotness, but I can hardly remember it after this J&A PR onslaught. Alan puts my teeth on edge because he is too ‘buttoned up’ = try hard. Michelle looks like she’s going on a date (as the man) with Dolly Parton in the 70s.

Why do you keep calling him scarfy when he’s not wearing any and that too for quite sometime? Also is he the only one who’s wearing scarfs? The hat, he’s wearing even before he came into movies.
