I’m kind of worried about Selena Gomez. I always thought, years ago, that she was the most level-headed of all the transitioning child stars. Then Justin Bieber happened. And then Selena started hanging around the wrong crowds. And, oh yeah, she went to rehab, she dropped her parents as managers and there are rumors that she’s “cleaning house” after Justin Bieber fooled around with one of the Jenner girls. I actually hope that the “cleaning house” thing is true – she hired Katy Perry’s manager and she and Justin seem to be over (again, for now). So what does she really need now? A new LOTR boyfriend?!?
Selena Gomez and Orlando Bloom appeared cozy together as they attended Chelsea Handler’s show on Saturday night.
According to reports, the pair arrived in the same car for the show at the Forum, and later left together. While the two have not been previously linked, Bloom is currently going through a friendly divorce from supermodel wife Miranda Kerr, while Gomez is on a much less friendly break from Justin Bieber.
While Gomez and Bloom spent time together in LA, Bieber was in New York. The pop bad boy was spotted at the Il Bastardo Brunch at Bocca di Bacco in Chelsea. He wasn’t served any alcohol and instead chilled with his entourage of 10.
On paper, Selena and Orlando Bloom make no sense. She looks 14 years old and he’s 37 going on irrelevant. But it’s such a bizarre match-up, and I find myself sort of interested to see if it is true. You can say a lot about Orlando, but he never had any kind of spectacular crash-and-burn like so many in Selena’s circle. He might be a good influence on her, is what I’m saying. He’s never fall down drunk and he doesn’t seem to do drugs, nor is he entangled with police departments in three different cities. But what does Orlando see in Selena? Is he Captain Save-a-Ho to her Calamity Jane?
PS… Selena has been posting weird videos for days. I feel like she’s trying to seduce Justin Bieber through social media. Gross.

I don’t see how firing her parents as managers can be seen as a breakdown. Girlis 21 years old. Even if the parents were good managers, I’d want to break away too. They can always be there for advice. Hopefully she stays away from biebs for good and move on with her life.
If Bloom is interested in her he is showing without doubt he finds girls who look 14 sexy, and that says a lot about him, it is GROSS!!
I don’t think that’s fair. In not into them as a couple and I hope it’s B.S. BUT she is an adult. Dating a young looking adult isn’t the same thing as being a pedo.
Yeah she is an adult but she looks like a child, it is creepy and Yeah I judge any guy that goes just for girls like that look at his past, Kate Bosworth, Miranda Kerr- all looked like teenagers when he got with them, that is a guy with issues IMHO.

She’s an adult. She doesn’t look prepubescent – which is what pedophiles are all about. She just has a young looking face. Orlando is quite a bit older, but he’s not nearly as sketchy as say Wilmer V or Charlie Sheen.

yep…that’s what I thought also…it would make sense from that point of view, they do have the cutesy look. It seems odd from many other points (age difference, life style difference, whatever…), but it would make a consistent type.
What I really don’t get about the celebrity world is why celebrities can’t spend one single day on their own. It’s like being single is for them the biggest curse out there.
After a break up the last thing I’d want it would be another man to deal with. But maybe it’s just me.
I truly think its all about keeping their name out there, I truly think that is why celebrities date one another, its all about celebrity couple power, and as we can see-it works. How many are truly genuine relationships? Probably less that we think. I don’t think it is any coincidence that Selena has just started with Manager Aleen Keshisian and we have her linked to Aleen’s client Orlando Bloom!

Aw Hell No. Look, I know age differences can work even when one partner is super young. However, she’s freaking 21 and fresh out of rehab (where she only spent 2 weeks) and he’s a 37 year old brand new divorced father of one. It comes across like he’s taking advantage of a young, vulnerable kid if true. If she was 25 or 26 maybe I would feel a bit different, but she was 21 and her parents were still her managers up until a few weeks ago. Not to mention she physically looks very, very young.

Sounds like Aleen work imo, same thing happened last week with the gossip of Aniston setting up Bloom with Goop (all Aleen clients btw). If Bloom wants to make something of his career and not end up a complete laughing stock (getting with Biebers sloppy seconds a year after there were rumors that he slept with your wife will certainly do the trick!) he would need to dump Aleen and find a complete new team that does have his interests at heart. And not get with girls half his age of course (and stay away from the models! Leo D can get away with it >barely< but you're no Leo D!)

There are lots like me who hates that woman and CAA made the biggest mistake by signing her on and then have her create showbusiness friends with other CAA clients. These other clients are losing their respectability and fans.
I believe he’s definitely friendly with her. He is old “friends” (like people in Hollywood are “friends”) with Aniston (Troy days), separate from his friendship with Justin. He and Miranda also hung out with Paltrow in a rather exclusive gathering that Stella McCartney had. So Bloom does appear to run in that circle. And you can probably find on Youtube his interview on Handler’s show and Miranda’s interview with her not long after where Kerr claims that Bloom is smitten with Handler. She could’ve been lying, but who knows, and Kerr must have had a motive even if she was exaggerating. These people don’t care who they associate with as long as that person is in vogue with big names (as Handler is) and they have connections. And they’ll be “friends” with someone until they’re no longer relevant.

I don’t know, when I was her age I met some people who were about his age – they are still like older brothers to me. Come to think of it; I was round 23, they were round 31… so it’s a bit different. Anyway I hope for his sake it’s nothing – it would really make him pathetic. I just saw him in a film called Zulu some time ago and thought that he did pretty well, and that he could actually make it as an actor, but this is a big minus.

I left a comment joking about current events in Selena’s life in a Coachella post, but I’m seriously starting to worry about her. She looks out of it (and her face is super puffy) in the pictures on Lainey’s website. I don’t usually care what celebrities get into (I think 99% of them are self-absorbed morons with few morals and too many vices), but I think something is rotten in the state of Denmark.
I think it was Lainey that pointed out that JB and Miranda allegedly hooked up. Revenge maybe on Selena and Orly’s part? And/or a PR set up by their reps.
Neither of them appears to be particularly talented or have any interesting work lined up. This is purely speculative as I’ve not seen either of them in anything, but it seems neither is highly in demand. They share a manager, and the best way to keep any interest professionally in either of them is to prove they garner attention (and therefore $$$) from the public. Setting them up, or at least creating the appearance of them dating, serves to publicize them both. The “issues” (age difference, his preference for baby faces, their respective exes apparently cheating on them with each other/revenge angle) all serve to further the story and generate more PR. Smart strategic pairing by their manager.
I doubt there is anything genuine here, if there is, you might consider that they both seem to be relatively nice people, both enduring public break ups and a struggle to maintain relevance in a career – maybe they connect on some things. I bet he treats her nicely, which to a young girl who has dated a prick for so long probably seems refreshing, and his getting of a hot young famous girl boosts his confidance. There could be many reasons why they connect, at the very least a shared desire to remain relevant.
I am not a fan of either, but instinctually think they’re both decent people who I hope are happy or find happiness. This pairing isn’t as strange as some are asserting I don’t think.
I believe Orlando is a womanizer (I’ve read for years so many women’s names attached to his) and I also believe he is not faithful to women (poor Kate Bosworth stuck with him for 5 years and he wouldn’t commit to her). I’d say, yes, he’s not above doing a hit and run with poor, vulnerable Selena. And no, I never heard that he is a violent, disgusting abuser like Charlie Sheen is. I think he’s just your run-of-the mill womanizer because he can be. I still think he’s beautiful and that he never pushed himself to stretch as an actor, thus never achieving the promise many saw in him. It’s still not too late to change if he wants to, though. Look at the arc of Matthew McConaughey’s career. I just don’t know that he wants to.
He is also good pals with Enrique Murciano, that guy is also a slimeball, he ONLY dates women that are models and he prefers the age of around 19-25, the guy is 39. So if he associated with people like that he is capable of dating younger himself. Funnily though this publicity is doing him no good as he is being called all sorts all over the internet- Uncle Orlando being my favorite!
One thing also you guys have to consider about Orlando “oh he is so nice” Bloom, is that the other day this guy proved 100% that he also does pap set ups with his child, the law that was passed in California about the paps not allowed by law to take pics of celebrity kids unless they have permission of the parent, well guess what? Bloom was out in Malibu with Flynn a day ago proving he does the pap set ups just like his horrible ex, what kind of GOOD person is that? Not one I would call good thats for sure. That is a shitty parent, equals a shitty person.
