I think both moms have some sort of compulsion that pushes them to just keep wanting to have more children and collect them like Beanie Babies. Why can't people stop at five or six kids? That's still a large family, but it's not impossible to manage and there's less risk of small children being forced to sign up for Mommy & Me time.
