Here are some photos of Rob Kardashian arriving in Los Angeles on Saturday. As Kaiser mentioned, Rob fled Kim’s Florence wedding in haste. I’d speculate about whether Kris Jenner tipped the paps off about Rob’s pending arrival, but the paparazzi always swarm LAX. These are the first full-body photos our agencies have captured of Rob in many months. He intensely dislikes being photographed at his current weight. Now we’re all left to wonder why Rob bolted from Kim’s wedding at the last minute. Something major had to happen to make him willing to brave LAX on his own. Here are several theories:
* X17 spoke to a Kardashian insider who says Rob fled after a major fight with Kim at Valentino’s chateau. Kim wanted everyone to look fantastic and dressed up in Valentino couture as they departed Paris for Florence. When Rob couldn’t fit into his suit, Kim reportedly lost it. Rob fired back: “Rob said he was sickened by Kim and Kanye’s display of wealth and clothes and beauty and called it ‘superficial bullsh-t’ but Kim was p-ssed that Rob hadn’t made an effort to drop any weight over the past few months. Rob basically said he’d ‘make life easier’ for her and just leave.” Rob also feels like “he just doesn’t fit in” with his family anymore.
* TMZ adds that Rob booked his flight in a hurry, and he was “in tears” as he made the plans. Kim supposedly gave Rob a bunch of crap about ruining her wedding photos with his fatness. Rob refused to talk to TMZ when he arrived at LAX.
* Us Weekly calls Rob “the elusive sock designer” and says everything was fine for days in Paris. Rob had a great time joking around with Bruce Jenner and Scott Disick at a hotel bar on Friday. Then the big blowup ruined everything.
* Hollywood Life says Khloe cried when she heard Rob was leaving the festivities. She tried to convince him to stay and tried to make excuses for Kim’s behavior. Because Kim was “getting married and is all nervous and freaking out.” (Seriously? This is her 3rd wedding. She should be used to it.) Most of what Kim was saying was behind Rob’s back, but he found out and confronted her. Then “everyone decided to take Kim’s side — Rob was devastated and left.” The poor guy needs to never look back.

This guy is a douche but his mother and the rest of the family except for maybe Khloe treats him like crap. He is looked upon with contempt by them all especially by his mother and Kim(I’ve watch the show, shame on me). PMK hates that he’s not bringing in the dollar which has always been her # 1 love. It must be hard feeling like the only failure in your entire family but I don’t feel too too bad for him because he’s not very nice either.
@ Leahmommy – I agree 100%. Plus if Rob is miserable there is nothing stopping him from moving far from this Klan and getting a regular 9 to 5 or any other job just like the rest of us. Right! Me too. Who are the kidding? Rob storms off, the whole family are left wondering did he really leave, Kim stares at the door not really believing someone could leave Her wedding, Rob takes a break from the family and magically (lap Band) loses tons of weight by the next time they see him.
I thought of that as well, if that would have been Scott for example, this would be likely, but Rob is someone who has issues right now and doesn’t want to be photographed at all. The last paparazzi shots of him were months ago. I don’t think he would put himself out there for a storyline anymore. I guess he really wanted to be there at the wedding (you could see how uncomfortable he was at the airport while his mother smiled into every camera), but something happened. Someone this uncomfortable with himself doesn’t fly all these hours to another country (he was never photographed in Paris, because he didn’t leave the hotel) just to fly back just like that.
@birdie…That’s the conclusion I came to. First I thought this whole thing is probably scripted for their show and then I thought about his behavior for the last few months and it does not add up. He seems to really be struggling. Has not been photographed or on social media, he’s like a recluse now. I can’t see him putting himself out there like that. Unless PMK threatening him like “you better get with the program and start making me money or else…”
I agree. Maybe he is a jerk (I don’t watch the show so I’ve got no idea), but if they were complaining about his weight (which they knew about before anyone got on any planes) that’s awful. So much for weddings being about love and family. It’s all about how many people you can impress and how much money you can spend.

I feel like this is scripted. This whole family’s life is scripted. They are probably positioning this for a spin off show for Rob that shows him losing the weight and starting a new life – ‘Rob on the Rebound’ or something. There is of course the possibility that this is true because Rob does seem depressed and withdrawn, BUT with this family, THAT could also be part of the set up for a new show. Who knows with these people.
I kind of agree with you. When the whole story about Rob reacting to the stories about his weight he made several statements that make me feel like he’s not as depressed as everyone thinks he is. He stated that he didn’t believe in therapy and that he would work on himself when he wanted to (which is the only way he will lose the weight, no amount of telling him to lose weight will make him lose weight). If his mom and siblings are harassing him, shame on them.
Agree. It is all likely scripted. Maybe not intentionally as I doubt Rob gained a lot of weight on purpose, but now that he has, it would not surprise me if his mother is trying to spin this into a money maker. Ugh.

I agree-probably is going to be used for the show. But I don’t think Rob is that good of an actor, so “used” for the show is exactly what they’ re doing to him. I would watch that show too! Anyway, I agree with everything that you said. I have often wondered if Rob would straighten out and be a wholly different human being without the influence of PMK and the sisters. That family really seems to treat males as second class citizens. Perhaps, Rob’s view of women has been colored by his exposure to them and their treatment of him plus being present for all the belittling remarks and dismissing attitude they seem to have toward Bruce and pretty much every other male particularly their romantic partners. Regardless, in the end. Rob is responsible for Rob and I hope he climbs out of whatever dark place that he is in and along the way learns to treat women (and men) well including himself.
Lastly, is Rob still on the show? For some reason, I thought he had bailed from that. I don’t watch so I could be wrong. Does anyone know?

Although I personally can’t imagine bailing on my brother’s wedding (no sisters for me, alas) I also think that – if it was true that Kim was insulting him and fat shaming him – then he for sure had the right to leave. Being a “stressed out bride” doesn’t give anyone the right to be that cruel.
Kim is a mean person, she pretends to be otherwise but I have no problem believing she was cruel to him over his weight. I think any bride that acts like an arrogant self-centered bitch needs to get an earful whether it’s her third “special day” or not. If this were my family, my mother would kill me if I upset my brother this way. Such nasty behavior is unacceptable in a loving family and the fact that no one stood up to the queen bully Kim speaks volumes about that horrible family.
I remember an episode of one of the K-shows (I had just had a baby and was watching a lot of TV while nursing) Kourtney had just given birth to her daughter and hadn’t lost the baby weight. Kim was shaming her for wearing frumpy clothes and not caring about her appearance, plus she kept trying to make Kourtney go to the gym. Kourtney’s baby was like 2 months old or something – really new. Kourtney was really upset but trying to play it off. Khloe finally said something about how Kim had been gaining weight since being with Kanye and should be quiet. It was horrible! Who SHAMES their sister, who just had a baby, because she’s not a size 0 like six minutes after.

Thank you! He looks like crap not because of his weight but because he seems to have adopted this as his wardrobe. It is hard to dress when you are larger but he has the money (family money) to get designer outfits that fit well.
One thing: if you are already feeling bad about yourself because of your weight, no amount of money will help you feel and dress better. Once he decides and accepts himself as he is, chances are, he will dress better.

Yes apparently he got huge off anti depressants. I don’t doubt alcohol might have some hand in there too.
I gained quite a bit of weight when I stopped taking anti depressants. Not 100 lbs, though, but my metabolism totally changed and now I’m fighting to lose the weight I gained without going back on them!
I gained weight while on anti depressants…a lot, my boobs were ginormous..they effect everyone differently. It makes depression hard to diagnosis properly.

She’s also told Khloe and Kourtney that she would never be seen with them due to their choice of outfits on a particular day. She’s very business-minded, to the point of being insensitive to her kids, I remember an old KUWTK episode I watched (don’t judge me, one of my closest friends is really into the show for some reason) – Kim wanted to support Scott at an event for some product he was selling or something and PMK was like, “no Kim, you can’t go because you already have endorsement deals with so and so”, and Kim basically had to fight to attend her pseudo brother in law’s event. So in a nutshell, I think this kind of criticism would come from Kris especially and that must really hurt; your own mother being insensitive and hurtful to you.

I remember watching it, I felt so awful for him because he sat in the therapists office, he sobbed his heart out like a little kid, Khloe did go after him and Kourtney was visibly upset by Rob’s emotional breakdown. Kim & lucifer’s homegirl just sat there with vacant stares, completely unmoved and later Kim cried crocodile tears to the therapist. The only thing believable in that episode was Rob sobbing and Kourtney/Khloe’s reactions.
How old is he? I don’t feel sorry for him because he could have left already. I think that while he may be unhappy he enjoys the benefits he reaps from being part of this family. I’m sure he inherited the allergy to real work the rest of them have.
My cynical theory: When he first gained the weight a year ago or so, Kris made him publicize it in hopes of getting at least Biggest Loser Celebrity (is there such a thing or did I make that up?) or even a Weight Watchers gig. That didn’t pan out so now he really has no purpose and Kris is leading the family in tormenting Rob in hopes that maybe he’ll commit suicide and they can gain sympathy and be rid of the least valuable member of the clan. Thrre was a rumor back when Rob first gained a lot of weight that he was angling for a weight loss deal, which never really panned out (though he was on DWTS at one point – was that before or after fat Rob?). I think he gained the weight, and then when he realized it was harder than he thought to work it off that he just gave up. There are a lot of comments that people say he must have issues with depression etc but sometimes people just gain weight.
I think his weight gain is natural too. My brother put on weight the same way and we’re also half-middle eastern, half Western European. My brother eats too much, plays too many video games and doesn’t get enough exercise. Too much pizza and beer.
This theory is certainly plausible. Maybe he began to gain, Kris saw $$$, and then no deal. This guy just doesn’t seem to have a lot of motivation about anything. He once talked about law school (like his dad), but I don’t think he has any real gumption about him. I think that’s why he won’t stand up to or break away from his family.

Yes. Rob always goes off the deep end when his relationships end (he is very, very sensitive). He has also been showing signs of depression for many years, although I disagree with most comments here regarding the lack of support from his family. Khloe has always looked out for him, even taking him to live with her and Lamar. She has always seemed aware of his issues and tries to give him advice, so much so that one could argues she enables him. The way she speaks about him w Kim and PMK also show they are all aware of his emotional instability.

I can feel for this guy up to a certain extent, but there comes a point when you have to either accept who you are or make a change. I know this from personal experience. I was just like him, hiding from the world because I was embarrassed by my weight gain. I finally decided to put up or shut up and lost 85lbs. He needs to weed out the negative people in his life and stop hiding. I have a bad feeling he might be this families first suicide storyline. I hope I’m wrong.

Hopefully this will serve as a wake-up call for Rob. He’s only 27 yet he’s obese, depressed, reclusive and shows no inclination towards losing weight. These should be some of the best years of his life and maybe with some perseverance and tough love they could still be.
Even with this guy being a douche or whatsoever, I feel sorry for him. I don’t want to be mean or anything, but as someone with that kind of over-the-top kind of mother, fingers crossed this doesn’t go any further, as in an eating disorder or deep depression.

Well, there are a lot of reasons a person can gain weight. Thyroid issues, hormonal issues, reactions to other medication. It could be depression. Maybe this weight is a way of saying *no* to the K-Empire without words? Maybe it’s a way of repelling the intrusion into his personal life? Maybe it’s not ideal, but being fat isn’t a crime, either.
It’s my observation that a lot of men in the Kardashian orbit are not doing very well. They seem to have their lives on hold to accomodate that stupid TV show. I thought Lamar was the exception, keeping his independance, but he seems to have crashed and burned as well. Bruce is moving on, but can’t escape being the but of some joke. Scott has accepted being a joke for some time.
Some people take longer in life to find themselves. I think I was one of those people as well. It seems Rob is stuck. Just some thoughts.
Still feel no sympathy for him. He needs to cut them loose. Go to therapy. Get a job and some perspective. If his family is willing to throw him under the bus for a scripted showmance wedding, its time to pull up his big boy panties and get on with his life away from the toxic mess of his family.
I will give him credit for leaving and calling out the superficiality of the entire wedding extravaganza. Baby steps.
I really adored Rob on Dancing with the Stars. I’m sorry that he’s having a rough patch, but I think he did the right thing to leave. Families can be the worst. All you can do is separate yourself and surround yourself with people who truly have your best interests at heart. I hope he does this. I also hope he knows that it’s no weakness to get some professional help in dealing with what’s going on with him. Most of us have been through some horrible family drama. Get some help, grow from it, and you end up a stronger, better person. Eff em.
PS I hear you that you think it is scripted, but I doubt it.
Kris is too busy with the Kimye juggernaut. and the princess, Nori. She’s too busy rushing around acting like she’s in her 20s with her boytoy and her own celebrity. A son that brings her nothing for her ten percent isn’t high on her priority list.
He has his own demons, so I’m not blaming everybody. But he is obviously in trouble and depressed among other things.
So when RK takes his own life because of depression, are we going to say that was scripted too? This is a troubled young man as evidenced by his dysfunctional relationships with women, his family, and ultimately himself. This is a perfect example of how and why people in some sort of celebrity status do not get the mental health they deserve and need. He needs help and fast and he’s clearly not going to get it from his biological family.
Think about it – even if this is a story line – you still have to be pretty mentally unwell to gain 100+ pounds, then fly 7+ hours to another country only to turn right around and fly back. Either way, he needs help.
Run Rob – run far , fast and hard away from these people and find other people who help you get on the road to the recovery you need and deserve.
I think Rob is depressed too, deeply unhappy, troubled with issues due to his upbringing and lack of mothering from Kris Jenner. I feel as if he is in denial about his problems or he just wants to keep his inner turmoil private. The best thing he can do for himself is to distance himself from his family for his own emotional wellbeing and get help (there is no shame in it). He needs to gather up the willpower to leave them once and for all. Find people who will support him, put his emotional wellbeing first and boost his confidence.
Kris Jenner became obsessed with making money, that her love for the almighty dollar blinded her so her kids became walking dollar signs and she forgot how to be their mother.
This isn’t a manufactured storyline, clearly something went down that Rob abruptly left to fly back home. Kudos to him calling Kim out for what the wedding is. Khloe seems to be making p*ss poor excuses for her mother and Kim. If anyone of them were genuinely upset by his decision then they should have went after him. They didn’t. Shallow, vain, vapid and selfish individuals.
Trouble is, aren’t they all contractually bound to film this show? Bruce Jenner hasn’t been allowed to go just yet and has to fulfill his obligations to E!. Boy, is E! the devil incarnated & Kris is Lucifer’s homegirl.
I know how he feels to be taunted by your own mother and others about your weight. Except my mother is the only one who taunts me, bullies me about my weight constantly when she gets the chance and got my dad to join in recently which upset me further. I will never forget it for the rest of my life. Her words destroyed me. She wants to control every single aspect of our lives. Yet she claims to give us freedom. I believe she is a narcissist of the worst kind.

The demon mother apparently got TMZ to spin the story as they all were being so terribly supportive and encouraging him to take part in the pictures etc but for some baffling reason he wouldn’t listen and left anyway. As if this bunch could be any more supportive than a thin piece of tissue… No mention of his comments about the whole wedding thing being all superficial bs.
Medications can definitely mess up your metabolism and make it very easy to gain weight but very hard to lose it. It’s not necessarily about “slowing metabolism” but more about interfering with such things as how things get metabolized, fat storage processes, etc. The body is geared to let us gain easily but not lose as a hedge against famine anyway, which is why successful weight losers typically have to go slow.

Kris has raised all of her kids to value themselves based on their looks ONLY. Rob believes he is now worthless because he is fat. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kris and Kim made comments on his weight but I’m sure Kim would rather have her ‘fat brother’ in her wedding pictures rather than not having him in the pictures at all. Not because she cares of loves him, but because it goes against her “perfect family” image and makes her wedding look ghetto.
I don’t understand these rich people. If I was in Florence and needed to leave a tacky and gauche wedding, I wouldn’t come HOME to lay around in sadness. Why wouldn’t he fly somewhere cool? Go on vacation! Spend some money and do something fun… Oh to have unlimited money…
Kim seems to just care about Kim. I doubt that she would rather have her brother in the photos at his current weight than not at all. Appearance is excruciatingly important to Kim- that’s why she has the plastic surgeon on speed dial.
Heaven help Nori. Neither of her parents is naturally thin but her mother and grandmother will shame her for every extra ounce and push her into a bad relationship with food if given a chance. And she looks like her dad- which is fine on a baby, but she most likely won’t fit Kim’s narrow standards of beauty as she grows older. By 16, she’ll be at the plastic surgeons with mom’s signature unless somebody in Kanye’s family rescues her from Kardashian hell long before then. Look at what Khloe has gone through just because she looks different from her sisters. It extends beyond the family, too- women frequently get trashed with phrases such as “mannish”, “man hands”, “horse face”, “tranny” even though women have always come in a great variety of sizes and shapes. Men get the same treatment (look at all the people calling Bieber a girl, a lesbian etc. because he’s still an adolescent, managing to insult both him and half the species at once since being a girl should not be an insult), although maybe not to the same relentless extent. Anyway, I see a lot if that in Nori’s future both at home and in the tabloids, including all those folks gushing now about how she’s a beautiful baby. Catch you in 20 years…

So who is this mystery person who talked to the paps and doesn’t care if they are kicked out of the festivities and main event? I mean, the guests are not even supposed to bring cell phones to the wedding. Can’t see risking being that person just to give a second hand account of what they think the reason is that Rob left. Maybe he wasn’t feeling well or forgot his wedding socks or didn’t like the food on the menu (ok, that was uncalled for). Looks like Rob is seriously depressed and I hope that he does get some therapy because until he understands the role he plays in dysfunctional relationships, it won’t matter what his weight is, he won’t be truly happy.

That whole family, with the exception of Khloe, who I believe was fathered by someone else, is completely despicable. They all let Kim run ram shod over them because they want money. Kim should be ashamed of herself!
I thought there was a blind gossip item a month or two back about a sibling in rehab and a lot of people thought it was Rob. So it’s possible trying to quit drugs/alcohol caused Rob to gain a lot of weight – replacing drugs with food or the side effects of medication.
I know nothing of Rob as a person so can’t say if he’s a jerk or not but if he truly is battling depression, trying to stay sober or having health issues, than Kim calling him out on his weight is cruel. I hope Rob leaves the rest of his family behind and makes a loving life for himself.
Sad fact is sooner or later Kim is going to be old and jacked up from surgery and no one will pay a lick of attention to her. I can only imagine the day her daughter hits her teenaged years. God help if she’s pretty. Kim so seems the type to compete with her kid and try to sleep with her boyfriends.

I have horrendous idiots who masquerade as siblings, and the wisest move that I have ever made in my life was to cut them off after my parents died. Life is too short to tolerate judgmental haters.

I’ll say it, he’s not that fat. With all the talk, I expected to see a moose, please, 100 pounds? I doubt it. He’s put on weight but that’s not unheard of. Many people put on weight after adolescence, look around, I know tons of people who look like Rob and I’m not assuming depression, medication or life crisis. I am assuming sofa, TV and Cheetos.
