I’m not completely heartless, you know. I am cynical, but there are moments when I look at celebrity couples on the verge of splitting and think, “Oh, come on. You could make it work! TRY HARDER.” Like, I was actually sort of happy for Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas when they seemed to work through their rough patch/separation, and they seem to have reconciled for the most part. Theirs was a marriage worth saving, for their children, for their shared history, for themselves.
But I don’t understand Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart – how is their relationship “worth saving”? What is keeping them together other than “she has money and he gets an allowance”? For Jennifer, I think she’s just sticking with the relationship to save face. Like, she doesn’t want to admit to herself or the world that she’s been dating a huge loser for more than two years. But following the revelations about Casper’s ongoing affairs/sexting relationships with two transsexuals, Jennifer might have to finally (at long f—king last) pull the plug on this huge mistake.
A few months ago, Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart “hit a rough patch,” a friend says, but the singer has been trying to be supportive of him and work through their issues.
“Now,” notes the friend, “all this stuff comes out about sexting. They’re still together, technically, but no idea for how long.”
Internet reports claim that Smart, 27, a former backup dancer for Lopez and now a choreographer, has sent Instagram photos and steamy messages to somebody else. (Reps for both have not commented.)
“There were issues that pre-date these new reports,” says another source, who adds that Lopez’s mind is currently on things that go beyond rumors over her and Smart’s romance.
“She has a really busy three weeks and doesn’t have time to deal with this,” the source adds. “And she’s on the East Coast and he’s working on the West Coast.”
Indeed, Lopez, 44, is trying to stay positive and focus on work. She’s in New York for her State Farm Neighborhood Sessions concert on June 4 in the Bronx.
“She is excited about where her life is right now,” says the friend. “Her new single (“First Love”) is on fire, and her album is about to drop, and she has movies, and hit TV shows (The Fosters) that she’s producing. She couldn’t be in better shape professionally. Personally, it’s a bit more tricky.
How tricky? A second source says, “Put it this way, they were having problems before the sexting. You do the math.”
Why all the drama? Why all the build-up? Why is Jennifer’s manager (this sounds like her manager Benny Medina) dropping these quotes to People Mag? Why not just do a clean and efficient break up, for the love of God? Dear Jennifer: this relationship is not worth saving. It’s just not. Stop with the drama and just dump him.
Oh, and here’s a funny-timing story – yesterday The Daily Mail published these photos, taken one week ago, of J.Lo and Casper on the beach together. She was sunbathing. He was… texting. Cough.

This relationship was not worth starting, nevermind saving. Come on, who would ever sleep with him? I don’t get it at all. So many of these famous women have HORRIBLE taste in men.
Honestly, I think she requires someone like Casper who will follow her wishes and just tag along and be her companion/assistant. He’s also dependent on her financially, and he’s been exposed to quite a bit more since they coupled up, so it’s a win-win for them both, except for the fact that this was doomed to end….eventually. Jen is a bossy, strong woman who need to be in ‘control’ folks, and Casper Smart fit the bill and he was there for everything she needed and to keep her from being alone. If they split, who would be surprised?

Agreed on not understanding this relationship and thinking they should break up already. I just wish all the coverage of this wasn’t “he’s having affairs with TRANSSEXUALS.” Like, he’s having affairs, surely that’s the important bit.
She seems like one of those women terrified of being alone, which of course in this case merely means not having her name linked with some man. Must be a fear of aging & losing her feminine power.

Guess so. I saw those pics yesterday at DM, and honestly questioned whether it even was them. Their faces are not visible, and she looks a mess. Where are the long luxurious locks, the tan, and the hot figure? The big brown paper shopping bag also stuck out, I doubt JLo would be carrying her stuff around in that. And being on a public beach? Wouldn’t a diva such as herself be at a private one?

I believe she wears wigs and hairpieces most, if not all of the time. Her own hair is thin and doesn’t have this kind of volume, so, YES, every time you see her, it’s a wig or hairpiece of some kind…..

I do not understand this. This is a woman who hustled and busted her backside to get where she is. What is the endgame here. She has been in the business for what, 20 years and still has a fan base. Why the need to be a hot mature age woman with a boy toy. She can have an age appropriate relationship or you know, be single, and all will still be right in the world.

I mean she can date whomever she chooses. I’m not a fan of this guy but she is a free woman. However, I’ve always wondered celebs who date loser people and introduce them to their children. We’ve seen pictures of Casper hanging out with her kids. I’m not a child of divorce but I’ve always wondered for the ones that are. Did you get confused as a kid when your parents broke up with significant others they never married? Was it hard to say goodbye to your mom/dad’s boyfriend/girlfriend if you had a good relationship with them? This is something I’ve always been curious about.
