Its normal and I don't think we should pick it apart to the extent of double standards for weight losses and gains. I agree with cb, this is Matt Damon, Jason Bourne. Can Hollywood just start making Bourne quality films all of the time? I wish, but no...there are few actors in the same league with Matt Damon. It doesn't make you a better actor, and it doesn't have to do with your acting ability and talent. We have technology and makeup props for that matter.
