Brandi Glanville is ‘homeless,’ no one wants to rent to a ‘disruptive’ Real Housewife

brandi1

Brandi Glanville is “homeless.” Or something. Apparently, after Brandi had some frightening incidents involving people coming up to her door and knocking, Brandi moved into a rental property with her two sons. Then there were some issues with the rental property and Brandi was looking to move locations again. But no one will rent to her! Maybe. Radar claims:

“Brandi has been desperately searching for a house she can rent in a comfortable neighborhood, but it’s not going well,” an insider told Radar. “She finds a place she likes, but then the landlord or renter realizes who she is and doesn’t want to risk the drama that comes along with her shooting the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”

“A lot of people don’t want to rent to someone who shoots reality TV because it can disrupt the neighborhood,” the source said. “Brandi’s trying to stay optimistic, but it’s really starting to weigh on her. She wants a house for her family!”

According to the insider, Glanville is willing to pay extra for someone who will just rent to her.

“She’ll do anything at this point,” she source added. “She just needs a decent home!”

[From Radar]

But! Brandi got on Twitter and wrote:

I had a one year lease on my last house-the yr was up &the owner sold the house.Thats the WHOLE story so pls stop making up BS articles

The owners offered to sell me the house but I declined so they sold it to someone else thats the whole story so stop making sh-t up pls

[Via Brandi’s Twitter]

Um… but she doesn’t say anything about rental property owners not wanting to rent to her now. Which… I mean, I doubt LA/Beverly Hills people look down their nose at renting to “controversial” reality stars, but they might have a problem with their rental properties being filmed for said reality show. Plus, I doubt those property owners enjoy being the subjects of Brandi’s incessant tweeting as well – she was the one who first tweeted about her rental drama, and Radar picked it up.

And Brandi definitely is coming back to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Do you care? I do not. But surely she can afford to BUY a house now?

    Those are some fugly boots.

  2. Brin says:

Update: Brandi tweeted that she signed a lease on a new house.
Radar is pro-Leann, does her fluff pieces so we know where this story came from.

    • heidi says:

Who really knows what the truth is with her. After being caught in so many lies, best to take everything she says with a grain of salt.

But I do like her look at Mason’s graduation.

      • Brin says:

I think you are mistaking her for Lie-ann.

      • Gia says:

She’s been caught in ‘so many lies’? Like what? Even her co stars call her the ‘truth cannon’…

      • heidi says:

It wasn’t her co-stars who called her a ‘truth cannon’ – it was her opening lines on BH.

A few of the lies she has been caught in:

        Lisa’s bankruptcy
        being sued by Adrienne Maloof
being sued by Eddie over child support issue
        Cedric lies
        Tampa Seminole casino

        for openers

      • Macey says:

umm…exactly what lies has she been caught in?

you can say a lot about BG, cant say Im a fan or anything but one thing she isnt is a liar. Thats easily enough to prove as well b/c if she would have lied about anything regarding LR & Ediot, LR would have sued her. LR is the most sue happy person Ive ever read about. Keep drinking the LR cool-aid tho.

Funny thing is, LR is trying to promote her show thru sites like Yahoo and Wendy Williams and there hasnt been one positive comment about it. WW FB page on the show has almost 3000 comments…all negative, same with the other sites. I expect more of these stories to pop up just b/c no one , except Heidi up there wants to see any more about these two. They’re the only liars in this triangle and anyone with the ability to google knows that.

      • HappyMom says:

That skirt is WAY too short for your kid’s 5th grade graduation.

      • Fan says:

She tells the truth and tells it like it is! It is Eddie, Adrianne, and Leanne who say she is lying. I prefer to believe Brandi.

      • heidi says:

        @Fan

except there is documentation to prove otherwise, To each his own

      • Macey says:

        @Heidi

exacty what documentation are you talking about? The Radar and DM articles that LR phones in herself? srsly, post this doc. or just stop. Anyone who has followed this story knows where all the lies comes form and it isnt BG.

      • aaa says:

        @Macey,
Don’t try and put it on Radar Online and the Daily Mail, more than once Brandi has been the one who puts the lie out there and then later on changes her story.

Cedric – Brandi was the one who said that Cedric was a good friend that she knew for years, and then changed her story that she did not know him.

Being Sued by Adrienne Maloof – For months Brandi said that Adrienne Maloof was suing Brandi herself, Adrienne denied that she was suing Brandi and Brandi stuck to the story and played up the victim angle. Later on Brandi admitted that Adrienne sent a cease and desist letter to another person.

Lisa and Ken’s Finances – Brandi said that Kyle Richards told her about Lisa and Todd bad finances, Kyle said, in the presence of Lisa, that Brandi, that she never mentioned anything about bankruptcy.

Eddie wanting child support – Now this one should have really opened many people’s eyes about how Brandi lies and manipulates. Brandi started that whole fiasco on Twitter. She tweeted, “now mr fancy new cars&house man is asking ME for child support!” Eddie’s rep responded, ” “There is no truth to the claims that Eddie has requested child support from Brandi now, nor will he ever request child support from his ex-wife. The notion is preposterous. This is yet another ploy for self-promotion.” It later came out that this was about overpayment of support, Eddie says he overpaid alimony. Now Brandi’s tweets are closer to Eddie’s version about the issue being about overpayment, not Eddie wanting Brandi to start paying him child support.

    • heidi says:

Brandi’s lies are her own. Not saying Leann hasn’t lied, but the subject is Brandi

    • Stacey says:

That’s right. When Brandi’s year lease was up the owners offered to sell to Brandi and she turned them down. She tweeted a couple of days ago she has found a new home.

On another note, Wendy William tweeted who will be watching The E & L show and her FB blew up! Over 2,500 comments! LOL!

      • Lady D says:

Were any of the 2500 positive?

      • Macey says:

        @ Lady D

Nope..not even ONE! I just looked and its over 2600 now and not person watching, same with the articles on other sites.

Wendy is also having Ediot and LR on her show on July 17th, which Im guessing is the only reason she’s promoting it. I wont be watching that one either even tho Ive come to like watching her show when I get home from work. I think LR’s ppl have something over WW b/c I just dont get it. The only reason WW says that she likes LR is b/c LR let her ask anything when she was on her show but then WW didnt really ask anything that any of us would have so i dont know. I know LR’s ppl have holds on some ppl for whatever reason and WW is one of them. Shame b/c I really Wendy’s show. I only got into it about 3-4 months ago but I dont think Ive missed a show since but I will on the 17th. They’re just to fake and phony to even hate watch and LR’s eyes run thru me like nails on chalk. nothing but evil and venom in them.

  3. Caz says:

Brandi bores me. She must be exhausting to be around.

    • Rice says:

Was she always like this? I know nothing about this woman.

      • TheOriginalKitten says:

If you’re ever having trouble taking a nap, call me and I’ll fill you in on the details about Brandi.

      • Rice says:

LMAO! Thx T.O.K. I might have to take you up on that.

    • Emily C. says:

This. I knew a couple girls like her in college, and even then, I was exhausted by them. Now she’s supposedly an adult, but she doesn’t act like it. Eddie Cibrian definitely has a type.

  4. Loopy says:

    I actually like the dress.

  5. heidi says:

She failed to mention the angry tantrum she threw on twitter over her dispute with landlord. Does she have that poor a memory – or is it a case of hoping people are too dumb to remember what she said in the previous tweet rants?

She’s back heavy on the botox and fillers, which she swore off. Never believe what comes out of her mouth – a couple of hours or days from now, it’ll be the opposite

    • Dinah says:

Wow, you are really hardcore on this one.

    • Jenny12 says:

As a soccer mom- really- I don’t understand why you’re so surprised at someone bitching on social media. Some of what people post on FB has my jaw dropping. People bitch, they moan, they put s— out there they wish they hadn’t. If she wants to fill her face with toxic waste, why is that anyone’s business? Why is a Twitter tantrum so upsetting?

      • Bob Loblaw says:

It’s not upsetting, in 16 year olds, it’s head-scratching in anyone over 21.

      • Jenny12 says:

I’m not saying I’m on board with losing it on social media, but it’s not unusual. And Brandi is a decent sort and usually doesn’t lose it. I don’t think she is always right in what she posts, but who is? I have seen people post ridiculous things- ranting about their kid’s teacher right on social media. One woman posted a picture of her husband speaking to a woman and said, “Done flirting, b—?” Soccer moms, I kid you not.

    • Snowflake says:

Yeah she’s been caught in her lies before. Both her and leann are liars, still not sure people act like you have to be on one side or another. Can’t stand either

  6. Ali J says:

Buying a house is not for everyone. Maybe she doesnt want to tie down that much money in property.

    • Macey says:

Buy a housing is over-rated imo. after owning for 11 yrs now Im really ready to rent again just for the freedom of being able to pick up and move when I want but now Im stuck b/c of the market right now.

    • Byte Me says:

Nothing wrong with renting as many people are going that route these days.

      • jaye says:

When my mom sold her house, she said she’d never own again. She felt having a house was just too much work and the “dream” of home ownership was overrated.

  7. J says:

    Those boots are hideous .

  8. Luca26 says:

She is to much of a spendthrift to buy a house. She’d rather spend her money keeping up appearances than buy something she can afford. She also likes to play the victim about how poor she is either compared to the other Housewives or because Eddie is a pig(he is but whatever at this point). I’m sure with the success of her book and her salary from the show she has a pile of cash she will waste on Botox and booze.

  9. Gia says:

I’m still rooting for her! I think she’s really fun and I hope one day she’s able to settle down with a decent guy. I don’t want to see her end up single and still partying into her 50’s. While that’s fine for some people, I don’t think it’s what’s best for her and her sons. Can she find a decent guy in LA though??

    • HappyMom says:

She could if she really wanted it. But since her focus seems to be on partying and her appearance-she’s not going to find a quality person.

    • Jayna says:

But does a really nice guy want her?

    • tc says:

No decent man would want Brandi.

    • Emily C. says:

The only kind of decent man who would want Brandi would be one with a severe savior complex. And then he’d realize there’s not much there to save. I think Brandi’s happy as she is, and it’s fine that she likes to sleep around and have fun. Not fine that she likes to get falling-down drunk and generally make a total ass of herself.

    • jaye says:

Except her kind of fun really doesn’t look good on anyone over 30. I mean, she doesn’t have to put on pearls and a twin set, but falling out of restaurants and clubs pissy drunk is NOT a good look.

  10. bettyrose says:

Buying a house is a good option for someone with two kids and a precarious revenue stream. Rents go up but a fixed rate mortgage doesn’t. Unless she’s investing very wisely right now, she’ll eventually be priced out of the luxury rental market, so in her case buying is a better deal. Also, seriously isn’t it hard on the kids to have such constant upheaval? A new bedroom every year?

    • Macey says:

I agree about the moving so much. I couldnt handle that but as far as owning vs renting, your mortgage may not go up but your school/property taxes can and will (I am paying $200.00 more a month from when I 1st bought 11 yrs ago only b/c our school taxes keep increasing). then when you add in the repairs, maintenance etc…owning can be far more expensive in the long run. Depends on house of course but I dont know that you’re always better off. I know all that is factored into rent costs as well but it seems more stable to me even tho the rents in my area are outrageous right now.

      • bettyrose says:

Macey – not always but in her case. She won’t be raking in 6 figures forever..or much longer..and I question how much she’s actually saved. A house would force her to build equity. Before long, she’ll be renting two bedroom walk ups just to maintain a posh zip code.

      • Lady D says:

I read an article once on renting versus owning, and renting was clearly the cheaper option. Mostly because of repairs like roofs, flooding, hot water tanks, liability insurance, home insurance costs, and I can’t remember the rest. I believe the article stated you could save close to 200 g’s by renting over the course of a lifetime.

      • Lady D says:

Home maintenance was also a biggie.

      • Macey says:

        @ Lady D

I believe it. the maint. thing is huge. you never know if its going to be a $500.00 repair or a $5000.00+ repair and that always scares me. Wasnt bad the first few yrs I had mine but now I really think I would have been better off long ago to keep renting b/c now I feel stuck (which is a crappy feeling). On the flip side tho, I know there aren’t many decent rentals available in my area any more since so many have lost their homes that it has become renters market and the landlords are very much taking advantage of it. some place have doubled their rent prices in just the past 2-3 yrs..its crazy.

      • bettyrose says:

I mean, I’m only saying this because I’m a home owner, but several things should be factored in: 1. Tax breaks 2. Depending on the economy, home improvements can be a much more secure place to stash your savings than the stock market. There’s no one right answer for everyone, and renting in a rent controlled city can be a great option if you never ever ever plan to move. However, rent control works against people who move frequently. Moreover, there’s the emotional aspect to providing stability for your children, which can be done with a long term rental, certainly, but we can all agree that Brandi is not being an economically savvy renter by moving frequently and paying top dollar for certain zip codes. And her kids will never return to their childhood bedroom as college students or new parents themselves and reminisce.

    • Bob Loblaw says:

Fundamental to home ownership, the money you spend every month goes towards building equity. When you rent, your money builds equity for your landlord. Home ownership is not for everyone but most of the people I know who have money made it with savvy real estate investments.

    • Jenny12 says:

Ugh, but taxes kill you. They are awful and they keep going up.

  11. Kiddo says:

I thought that as long as people were financially capable of paying the rent and caused no prior damages, etc, that you couldn’t discriminate, with the exception of if you also reside on the property you have more leeway in discretion? Is it possible that they would rent to her, but also are simultaneously barring filming on the property?

    • bettyrose says:

Kiddo if you have multiple rental applications you can choose one over the other. Also, if your property is within an HoA, you can use their bylaws (noise restrictions, etc) to reject an applicant. The luxury market had different rules, ya know?

      • Kiddo says:

Thanks bettyrose, I forgot that there are different rules between ‘us’ and ‘them’.

    • Jessica says:

I’m pretty sure reality TV stars are not a protected group under discrimination laws.

  12. karkar says:

Sleeze bag LR has Radar on speed dial. They always have pro stories about her. She was left pretty much homeless by douche bag and told to deal with it while mama bucks bought a mansion. Brandi may not always make the best choices but she’s trying & she’s picking up the pieces. Her whole world was torn about and she still has to deal with that LR rubbing it her face& SWF her. She has her own money & shes proud she can provide for herself & kids and she’s not leeching off anyone like her Ex.

    • Lady D says:

I quit reading Radar. The stories were literally enough to make you want to vomit.

    • aaa says:

How was Brandi ” left pretty much homeless”? Eddie was making good money when he filed for divorce and undoubtedly Brandi got a good amount of money from him, after all Eddie may have OVERPAID Brandi to the tune of $114,000. By the time things started to dry up for Eddie, or he stopped working whatever applies, Brandi was on the Real Housewives show and wrote a best selling book, so she should have been able to support herself and her kids for the time she has them – she and Eddie have them the same amount of time

It is clear to me that Brandi cannot manage her money, and for that fact other parts of her life, in a responsible way. Eddie may be a great big “douche bag,” Leann too, but they are not the blame for all of Brandi’s problems, she brings a lot of problems on herself.

  13. Maria says:

I get actors/musicians leasing add they travel continuously for work, but, why doesn’t she buy?

She’s not going to leave LA anytime soon, seems like such a waste of money.

    • Jayna says:

She’s tried to buy and fell through or offer wasn’t accepted. I have a feeling she’s trying to buy out of her price range, which is dumb. She has no clue when the bottom will fall out of the big money she’s making.

    • Christin says:

I wonder why she doesn’t purchase, especially since there are likely some decent deals leftover from the CA housing bubble, foreclosure deals, etc. Case in point is the fiesta themed bargain casa her boys visit part of the time.

I’m starting to wonder if she can qualify for a mortgage (perhaps income is not steady enough), has sufficient down payment cash, etc. She’s talked about all the gigs she’s been getting, so I thought she would be buying (assuming she’s saved down payment funds).

      • Jenny12 says:

I don’t know about her finances, but buying is scary, especially on your own. As for owning, I have to say that as a homeowner, it is not all it’s cracked up to be. The market has terrible fluctuations and you can lose a huge amount of money if the house is no longer worth what it was. There’s a great article out there about why renting isn’t so bad, and it talks about how real estate isn’t the investment it once was. Yes, I like Brandi, but I have said this to people at work, etc. Buying kind of sucks. My brother and his wife have excellent jobs but they’re struggling with buying. It’s not a stable market and it can be really hard to get a mortgage.

      • Christin says:

A year or so ago, she mentioned saving for a house. I assumed her ultimate goal was to purchase. I agree that buying isn’t for everyone.

Sometimes landlords don’t follow the law, though. In college and shortly after, I rented two places and in both cases, the owners would routinely enter apartments without notice. It was frustrating to tenants. I was never home when they entered, but others were. One neighbor was in his shower when the landlady used her key to enter without any good reason. It was unnerving and stays in my mind when it comes to leasing versus owning.

      • Jenny12 says:

Mmmm, yeah, but owning? The taxes are horrendous and keep skyrocketing. If you find you don’t like something, you’re essentially stuck. It’s a Catch 22 and it’s a risky investment. We lost so much on our house in just a few years.

    • Dinah says:

I’d be a bit reluctant to buy if I were a somewhat polarizing pop-culture figure because of stalker- type people. It doesn’t seem as though she will have enough long- term income to afford higher security. Just a thought.

  14. K-rock says:

I don’t recall much filming being done at her rental house. Just a couple of clips of her house hunting and then one time with her mom there, she was showing her the new place. Most house scenes were at the other HW’s, parties, etc.

  15. Lex says:

How is one a housewife when one is single? When will all these shows die? They make me weep for humanity

    • Kiddo says:

How is one a reality show when it’s all contrived? And yes, I wish for the death of all this crap.

    • Jenny12 says:

I guess because she WAS a housewife? These reality shows are all such BS. I can’t believe people actually believe that what’s going on is real and not scripted and set up. Everyone loves Duck Dynasty, and I’m like, you do know this is a play on hillbillies and they’re ACTING, don’t you? That none of it is real??

    • Snowflake says:

      That’s wtf I’ve always wondered

  16. eliza says:

Brandi was ranting on Twitter about being homeless and living in a hotel weeks ago. Funny how she is denying it now. She also blamed her ex boyfriend/realtor for the cause.

Maybe buying a modest house in her price range would be the ticket to some stability in her and her son’s lives.

The reason for landlords not renting to her probably stems more from the fact she was constantly cleaning up dog urine and feces in her rental property on screen, which would be more of a deterrent than filming a show in the neighborhood.

    • Jezi says:

She’s not denying not being homeless. She’s denying the story that people will not sell to her because of the show. She had to stay in a hotel because her landlord sold the house.

  17. Jayna says:

She has bashed both of her previous landlords on twitter. Why would another one want her? They’ve probably watched the show where her dogs are pooping in the house all the time. They say pass.

  18. Jayna says:

Brandi wants everything both ways. She’s a drama queen on her tweet and she was bashing this landlord on twitter (the last one when she left too) and was crying how she was homeless, blah, blah. Now it’s all fine. Whatevah.

  19. MY TWO CENTS says:

Why anyone would read ROL let alone believe it is beyond me. I would imagine she has to lease in a gated neighborhood and most of them will deny tv cameras behind the gates. Probably why Kardashians and Rimes filmed in “fake” homes. I will always give Brandi kudos for picking herself up from the devastation of what those two “creeps” did to her family. Yeah, she’s single and she goes out and parties when she doesn’t have her kids. It’s LA….and she has to remain on the radar.
I would guess filming and being harrassed for filming RHOBH makes her wish she could do something else that paid the same kind of money. But, that would make choices very limited. Oh, and I love her shoes and her dress. Looks fab!!

  20. JenniferJustice says:

Perhaps Brandi should buy an affordable home in an affordable neighborhood so her kids dont’ have to keep moving? Oh, I forgot, it’s more imporant to live in Beverly Hills and pretend you can afford to do so even if it means renting over-priced apartments, getting booted w/out notice while pretty much just throwing your money down a well.

Seriously, I can’t beleive this chick w/two kids and TEMPORARY income is still renting and still looking to rent. This makes me angry. Heaven forbit she actually invest what little money she has in an actual mortgage and her kids’ education. But look! She’s got weird new boot shoes and more botox. That’s all that matters.

    • Jenny12 says:

I have to say, owning is NOT all that. It really isn’t. There’s a great article out there about how owning used to be the great American dream and now is not. It is a risky investment with the way the real estate market has been fluctuating. You can lose a HUGE amount of money. There’s a lot of factors to consider. This is said as a homeowner who thought it was a great investment and has had our place lose a tremendous amount of money as we bought at a terrible time…. as for Brandi’s kids, no one knows what she is and is not doing. How do you know she doesn’t have a 529 for each boy? You’re assuming. She is working, which is more than the kids’ father can say.

  21. Leslie says:

She signed a lease on a new house the day her son graduated. So doesn’t sound like she’s homeless. Sounds more like a story LeAnn or Ediot put out there.

    • aaa says:

Brandi is the one who tweeted that she was homeless, and in one of her tweets, she even blamed being homeless on her ex-boyfriend.

  22. Mixtape says:

The only reality show I would ever watch with either BR or LR is one with both of them–LR ditches Eddie and the two women take off on a Thelma & Louise road trip, with random “townie” hookups and drunken karaoke scenes involved. I am pretty sure they are both fame-desperate enough to do this. Producers? Anyone?

  23. Jenny12 says:

Radar has been amping up the ugly stories about Brandi lately. Leann is trying to promote a show that most people want nothing to do with and all previews are Leann and Eddie discussing Brandi. Gee, I wonder what’s going on here? (*cough* large checks *cough*)

    • jaye says:

Except her kind of fun really doesn’t look good on anyone over 30. I mean, she doesn’t have to put on pearls and a twin set, but falling out of restaurants and clubs pissy drunk is NOT a good look.

      • Jenny12 says:

I’m not big on clubs myself, but she hasn’t been falling around and drunk since when? She screwed up, no doubt, several times. But recently, there’s been nothing. And Radar’s stories are nasty ones about her not being able to get a home and what kind of parent she is. I guess Leann’s evil campaign works on some people.
