Of course they don’t “have” to. They just should.

If your own happiness rates in your mind above the stability, security, and happiness of your children, then you shouldn’t have kids.

They will go on and life will go on? Well…that’s true for kids who’ve been molested, maimed, sick, beaten, or otherwise traumatized.

The truth is, divorce serves ONLY the two adults who loved one another enough to marry and make babies…but couldn’t be selfless enough to make the home stable for their kids to grow up in once that “for worse” part showed it’s face. There is nothing in divorce for the kids.

Obviously, I’m not talking about abusive homes. If kids are in danger, of COURSE the non-abuser should obtain a divorce and remove the children.

But I’m not talking about those situations.

Especially if they are not happy. No one knows what happened in this relationship, but Balthazar made his choice, as we are all free to do. It doesn't mean that he didn't go about it in a classless and tacky way...cause he did. I feel for the kids but they will go on and their lives will go on. Divorce is a fact of life nowadays, as are many unpleasant things. Hopefully they can all go on and find relationships that they are truly happy in.
