Does anyone else miss Khal Drogo? I wish Jason Momoa was still on Game of Thrones. GoT was supposed to be Jason’s launching pad to bigger and better things – he was supposed to become a movie star, he was supposed to be huge. But post-GoT, very little has happened. He did the Conan the Barbarian remake, he’s done a couple of action movies and he’s tried his hand at another TV series. So he’s still searching for the next big thing. And maybe the next big thing is a superhero movie. There have been rumors going around for nearly a year that Jason would somehow be involved with Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. The first rumors were about how he could be cast as Doomsday. But now there’s a “confirmed” rumor that he’ll be playing Aquaman.
So remember a few weeks ago when Jason Momoa made headlines because he said he was tired of being asked if he was going to play Aquaman in “Batman Vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice”? Well, he’s totally playing Aquaman in “Batman Vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice.” While Warner Bros. hasn’t made that announcement officially yet, HitFix can confirm that he will be playing the part, and that Zack Snyder has already finalized his designs for the character so shooting can take place soon.
One of the things that has driven me crazy since the release of “Man Of Steel” is when people say that the last act of the film is a problem since there’s no consequences for Superman after all of the destruction that results from his battle with Zod. I felt like it was pretty clear walking out of the theater that the next film would have to be all about consequences. I suspected that Lex Luthor would use the destruction as a way of making Superman look like a monster, and it sounds like that is indeed one of the major ideas that they’re playing with in “Dawn Of Justice.”
Someone else who’s not particularly happy about what happened in that film is Aquaman. I’m not sure if that’s the actual name they’ll use or not, but what we’re hearing is that he is not pleased about the World Engine and what it did to the Indian Ocean. He will not have a major role in the film, but he will make an appearance, and it definitely sets him up to return once Snyder gets to “Justice League.”
So, it sounds like it might just be an extended cameo, perhaps something to set up this long-gestating (and God knows, it may never happen) Justice League film. This Batman vs. Superman film already sounds like a total mess of characters and competing plot lines, by the way. There’s THE BATFLECK (Ben Affleck as a decrepit Batman), Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred (???), plus Amy Adams and Diane Lane are returning too. Oh, and Holly Hunter is in there somewhere. Seriously. And now Jason Momoa. HOT MESS.

God he’s hot. I don’t miss him on GoT that much (there’s still a lot of eyecandy and Khal Drogo was never a very interesting character to me) but I wish he got more exposure in another TV series/movie. Maybe I’ll even go see this crapfest just for him.
GlimmerBunny, did you see any of Red Road? It’s coming back for another season, and he’s a major character. Here’s how hot he is to me, though – I watched the whole first season, and I’m not sure if it was good, or I was just so happy to see Jason I thought it was good. Lol

Yes, he is quite the specimen of manly man-ness. And although I like Jeremy Irons in general, in my mind Michael Caine will always be Alfred.

Ummmmm, just NO on Acquaman. That whole cast sounds a mess. It sounds like they are reverting back to the bad Super hero formula movies of the late 1990’s early 2000’s.
I think I am among the rare who absolutely hated Man of Steel. I hated that movie.
I do wish he was still on GOT. I liked the whole storyline with him and Danyrys. (Sp?).
I think that there are more who disliked MoS than those who liked it.
I really wanted to like MoS. It was such a let down. And the fight scene at the end was scattered , dull, and long.
The more emo superman I was prepared to accept, but the film as a whole was terrible.
Snyder needs to be banned from making any more comicbook based movies. He never fails to ruin them without proper supervision.
Without a doubt he’ll have lots of scenes where WW is on her knees too. Be it jumping/ landing or pain/defeated. It’s as sure as Michael Bay loves those from the ground up the nose camera angles.
I hated it too. It was somehow both overblown AND dull. I really, really loved Nolan’s Batman trilogy and was hoping for something similar with MoS, but what a let down. It was like 2 hours of bad CGI and not much else. I felt bad for Amy Adams being stuck in it, she’s way too talented for that kind of movie.

He’s reay pretty, but I’m not convinced of his acting talent. As long as aqua man doesn’t have a lot of complexity I’m sure hell do fine.
To me he seems like the yummy man version of Blake lively.
I actually started watching The Red Road just to see Jason. It’s an “ok” show. Jason is the standout in it , for sure. Doesn’t Aquaman have blond hair and blue eyes? I wonder what that’s going to look like considering Momoa is the complete opposite.
Yea. I think they’re going for a more buff, rugged, hardened by living on a beach or boat aquaman version here.
I can’t help, but feel every character here is miscasted.
Will the movie make money? Yes. Will it be enough to break even? Maybe after international sales.
Will it be seen as another other than a joke for years to come? No.
It will be like Suckerpunch and i’ll see it on Starz.
That Man of steel movie was so weird that even Khal Drogo wont be able to help this mess. But I’ll be dragged to see it anyway regardless so at least there is man candy a plenty 🙂

This Batman Vs. Superman movie is going to be a mess. Warner Bros. is going for a cast of thousands, with dicey casting no less, which will lead to too much going on and not being able to follow the story. It’s obvious that WB is trying to outdo Marvel Studios and pull in Avengers’ money with this.
And I don’t think Momoa will look good as a blond.

For me, he lost allot of hotness when he hooked up with Lisa Bonet, started popping out babies Ugh! I just can’t with her. As soon as Zoe was an adult Lisa attached herself to Jason and, BINGO, was pregnant then pregnant again, thus insuring another 20 years of support. And they gave their children ridiculous names too. Maybe I’m wrong but I got the impression he is a pretty dim bulb. Not that he would be the first man to fall for that. But, after that I was kind of done with him. I need a little smarts…not allot but some.
