I agree he was dissapointed and seemed grateful to his audience but I don’t doubt he pushes his body the way he does because he loves it.
part from the celebrity and money he contributes to scientific knowledge of the body under stress. I admire him- at least he dreams big

I think he really was dissapointed that he wasn’t able to do it. Of course it made him a lot of money, but he’s crazy and really wanted to beat the record.

there is something charismatic about David Blaine, but it was a bit disingenuous bleating “I let the people down” when his well orchestrated “happening” was a nice little earner
