LeAnn Rimes ‘begging Eddie to let her begin IVF,’ he told her to get another dog

leann1

LeAnn Rimes looks so much like Brandi in this Twitter photo, right? Like, we all know that she’s trying to gradually BECOME Brandi in every way, but usually LeAnn still looks like herself. Not in this photo. Congrats, LeAnn. You’re very close to your goal of wearing Brandi’s face. Anyway, LeAnn has a new interview with Extra, which is one of her go-to entertainment shows when she’s promoting something. I guess she likes Mario Lopez? Anyway, the clip is super-wonky (I hate Extra videos, they freeze so much) and LeAnn just spouts the same delusional stuff as usual. Watch it if you like:

For me, the video cuts out just as LeAnn is starting to talk about whether she’ll have a baby with Eddie. I think that part of their stupid reality show is probably true, at the most basic level. She wants to get pregnant and he doesn’t want to impregnate Crazy. Radar/Life & Style says the same thing too:

Although their public life has been through the ringer with their very open battle with Brandi Glanville, LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are also allegedly having problems in their personal lives – Rimes wants a baby; Cibrian doesn’t. After three years of marriage and many attempts to conceive, the couple is struggling to get pregnant. Sources tell Life & Style that Rimes is desperate to have a child of her own, but her husband is reluctant.

“LeAnn’s been begging Eddie to let her begin IVF, but he doesn’t want more kids,” an insider revealed to Life & Style. “It’s sad – not only is her body preventing LeAnn from getting pregnant, her husband isn’t allowing it, either.”

Cibrian, 41, who already has two sons with ex-wife Glanville, allegedly has given up on the dream of giving his two sons another sibling.

“Maybe we should just get another dog,” Cibrian suggested to his country singer wife in May.

31-year-old Rimes’ dream has been to have children with her husband, but his unwillingness to have children with her reportedly has sparked Rimes to fear their relationship is doomed to fail, according to insiders. Because their relationship blossomed while they were both married to other people, Rimes allegedly worries that Cibrian will stray.

“He has been clear with her,” a source told Life & Style, adding, “but she doesn’t listen.”

But Rimes also reportedly believes that a pregnancy would mean better ratings for her new VH1 reality show, LeAnn & Eddie, which premieres in July. Another insider notes that if LeAnn got pregnant it would “guarantee them a second season.”

[From Radar]

Yep. Sounds about right. I kind of feel just a little bit of sympathy for LeAnn here, just because I do believe that she wants a baby, and not just for ratings or attention or whatever (although all of that stuff is factored in as well). She wants a baby because she’s probably always wanted a baby. She wants a baby because she thinks that will tie Eddie to her even more. And Eddie is just making her crazier by refusing. Maybe that was his plot all along?

They didn’t talk about this before they got married? I think its quite selfish to expect your spouse not to have any kids just because you don’t want more.

    • PoliteTeaSipper says:

It’s more selfish when a spouse tells their partner that they know in their hearts they don’t want any (more) kids and the baby crazy spouse pressures to have them anyway.

    • doofus says:

and by the same token, it’s also selfish to demand that your spouse get you pregnant if he doesn’t want more kids.

bottom line, you’re right – they should have discussed this before getting married. and truthfully, I’ll bet they DID, and he made it clear “I don’t want any more kids” and, like so many people do, she figured she could change him.

the article is ridic, though…how can she be “struggling to conceive” if he’s not even TRYING to conceive? How would she know that her body is “preventing” her from getting preggers if he’s not trying?

HE doesn’t want more kids because he knows that it’ll tie him to the cray-cray forEVER, and he’s not in this for the long haul.

      • Christin says:

It’s a neverending circle of stories. I tend to think he’s done with kiddie responsibilities now that his boys are older and his cup has overrunneth with cray the last couple of years.

      • Mel M says:

Agreed doofus, with everything you said.

      • Sparklemotion says:

Right — “he’s not allowing it.” Um, are they have unprotected sex, because then he’s pretty much “allowing” it? It seems kind of cruel to me if they’re having unprotected sex which he know might lead to be a baby, but then he isn’t into IVF — basically it’s only okay if it’s an accident? Also, I hate these people so very much.

    • Nan says:

Sorry but Ed was snipped after Jakey was born, and Looney knew this going into this farse of a marriage.

      • Audrey says:

Yeah I thought it was known that he got snipped

Which makes me think this is a publicity grab for their show

      • aaa says:

        @Nan,
How do you know that Eddie was snipped? Maybe he was but I just want to know if it that “fact” comes from a credible source or not.

  2. Dragonlady sakura says:

Those two shouldn’t be allowed a dog, let alone a baby. I pity any child conceived by this soulless couple.

    • kri says:

Oh, god-that permanent smirk on his smug face makes me want to slap him. Tbh, they are both super gross. A woman having a baby to “hold on to” a man gives me chills.

    • littlestar says:

Whatever happened to her little fluffy dog Virgo (yes, it’s sad that I know the dogs name)??? All of a sudden it was gone and seems to be replaced by this new dog that looks like one of Brandi’s dogs.

  3. Vanessa says:

I don’t think she looks very different in the twitter pic? As if you can see much of her face with those giant sunglasses.

    • aaa says:

      @Vanessa,
I agree. Plus so many of these Hollywood type women have similar features because they all get the same botox and filler work done on their faces.

  4. AmyR says:

Sure LeAnn, have a baby to prevent Eddie from straying. Because he didn’t stray from the mother of his existing children. Oh wait…

  5. Nikole says:

Would their baby even be able to open his/her eyes???

  6. Tracy says:

LOL, Ediot has already demonstrated that a little thing like a pregnant wife or kids won’t keep him from cheating.

Why do you think this unemployed loser is such a prize, LeAnn?

  7. elo says:

They only have been married for three years!?!? It seriously has dragged on like an eternity.

    • Jem says:

I was going to say the exact same thing. It seems like they’ve been tormenting us with thier stupid “love” for ages

      • elo says:

Hah! It’s kinda like Jessica Simpson’s pregnancies. It seems like she had two in the time it took Angie and Brad to acquire their entire brood.

      • Godwina says:

Thirded. I was surprised to read she’s only 31–feels like she’s been around for *decades*.

  8. dorothy says:

Even Eddie knows she’s too much of a whack job to raise a child.

  9. Steph says:

IF she truly wants a baby and IF she actually is having fertility problems, I feel so much for her. My husband and I are going through fertility treatments right now and every month that passes with no baby, we just feel more and more disappointed. It just seems like it’s not going to happen. 🙁

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Steph, I feel for you so much. I went through the same thing and it hurts so much. I’m really bad about giving unsolicited advice, but here I go again, please forgive me. I found the infertility struggles to be extremely painful, and I felt that it played a role, though a small one, in the break-up of my first marriage. When I remarried, I didn’t have the heart to go through it all again, so I took a passive “if it happens it happens” attitude. Two things, and they sort of contradict each other, but first, I regret not pursuing every avenue, including adoption, to have a child. I made that choice out of fear, and if I had been more aggressive in my second marriage, who knows? I might have a child. But the second thing is, you will be ok if it doesn’t happen. It didn’t for me, and a part of me will always be sad about that, but overall I’m a very happy person and can count many blessings in my life. The intense longing and feeling of emptiness goes away in time, and is replaced by something much more bearable. Meanwhile, I know how hard this is for you, and you have my very best wishes and positive thoughts. I hope it all works out for you, and I’m sorry if this was intrusive in any way.

      • Diana says:

Reading this brought tears to my eyes. I long for a baby and am married to a man who does not. I am 33 and it hurts so much. Thank you for posting such a personal and heartfelt response and for being so honest with your experience. *hugs*

      • doofus says:

great post. thank you for sharing your story.

And Steph, I hope you can find happiness.

      • LadyMacbeth ex Hiddles F. says:

Steph, I hope your story will have a happy ending 🙂 not sure about LeAnn though, she seems too crazy and attention seeking to care about a baby 🙁

        @GNAT Great post!

    • Jessica says:

It’s completely normal to feel the way you are! Hang in there and baby dust to you!

    • paola says:

      Steph

Sorry for your feelings. One of my best friends has been through the IVF 6 times and the more she tried the more she hoped for it.. and unluckily has never happened. Finally she realised that she can’t force nature and she found happiness in other things. I know she’ll always feel like she’s missing something but she is a clever woman, as I’m sure you are, and she has moved on.
Only because our society tells us that women HAVE to make children doesn’t make us who can’t have /don’t want any less feminine or valuable.
Good luck, though, I hope you’ll get what you need to be happy 🙂

      • LadyMacbeth ex Hiddles F. says:

        @paola

Society is also a lot judgemental towards women who choose not to have children. I get cr@p all time because me and hubby never wanted children.

    • Audrey says:

I’m so sorry. I have friends going through thid and it’s such a painful struggle. I hope you’re able to conceive. It took a friend 9 years but then got pregnant again 9 months after having her first 🙂

      Baby dust headed your way

    • Lisa says:

I don’t know how old your partner is or if you are aware of this, but there have been studies showing that the older a man gets the longer it takes him to get a woman pregnant. One study found that by 35 a man is 50x more likely to take a year or more to get a woman pregnant. Another study found that once a man hits 45 it will typically take 5x longer for him to get a woman pregnant than if he was in his 20s. So, conception with older men may take longer than than was previously thought, especially if your partner is his mid to late 40s. I don’t know if fertility clinics are explaining this possibility to women. The studies haven’t been widely reported in the media that I am aware of. It seems it’s a combination of the man’s and woman’s age.

There have also been studies showing a man’s fertility declines in his early 40s, but I haven’t read any info on how long it typically takes a man in his early 40s to get a woman pregnant. I don’t know if it has ever been studied.

      • betty says:

I don’t know about that didn’t Grammar knock up his young wife twice, and he is in his 50s or 60s once before marriage and after, Also Mike Douglas. think it depends on the man

    • NKN says:

Steph, LeAnn has said in a previous interview that it took her mother about a decade to conceive her, so I think it’s very possible that she does have fertility issues. Women with conditions such as endometriosis are likely to pass the condition down to their daughters. Do you mind saying what fertility treatments you’ve had? I’ve had a couple of failed IUIs and may start IVF in August.

  10. claire says:

She’s been talking about wanting babies for about 10 years now. Back since with Dean. It’s a cycle that’s been on repeat for many years. I want kids but am too busy, but I swear we talk about it every day we just want them so bad but oh so so busy. I really don’t think she does. I don’t see her as being very maternal, either. This is just her using baby watch as a means to stay in the news, IMO.

    • Christin says:

It’s easy to find a bunch of interviews where she does the maybe a baby routine.

This may truly be the best angle they can conjure up to get the reality show past a single episode, let alone a season.

      • claire says:

Yep. This is not a new storyline. One thing Leann excels at is repeating the same things over and over for years.

      • briargal says:

@claire–she sure is predictable with repeating over and over and over. Pathetic loser!

    • Dinah says:

That’s why I think all her talk is bluster- if her desire to have a child at ANY time in the past or present exceeded her desire for fame (ha, infamy) and fortune, she would have had one- herself, via a surrogate with or without egg donation or via adoption. It’s bullshit on her part- she’s only trying to appease her ever shrinking fan base, and in this case, conjure up a modicum of sympathy for her & interest in her shitfest of a show. Instead, she spends money on her bought & paid for lothario of a spouse and countless hours and dollars on empty self-indulgences. She’s waaaaay to narcissistic to actually yearn for a child, in my opinion.

      • SolitaryAngel says:

Someone should email Jennifer Anniston a link to this page–and she may want to think long and hard before she trots out her tired old ‘bump watch’ antics again. If you’re JA, having ANYTHING in common with LeAnn Rimes has got to be a rude wake up call for her career!!! 😉

  11. Brodie says:

If dude had half a brain, he’d get a vasectomy immediately. She will probably try to trick him in to getting her pregnant.

  12. briargal says:

Don’t be surprised if she fakes a pregnancy. Wasn’t there a rumor that she went to a shop specializing in maternity clothes and supposedly stole a fake baby bump pillow?? I read it on some blog. So she could fake one and then heaven forbid–suffer a miscarriage just to gain sympathy. Her bio-mom must be soooo proud of her lying, cheating, crazy daughter. But then she is what mommy made her!

    • aaa says:

I think that rumor came from a blogger who’s been outed multiple times for making things up and being a fraud in other ways as well.

      • briargal says:

But knowing how LeAss thinks–it’s totally possible! And a lot of what the blogger has stated has been true!!

      • aaa says:

@briargal, Leann may be crazy and has done some cuckoo things, but I’m not seeing her faking a pregnancy to the point that she would use a pregnancy pillow. Her pregnancy faking tends to consist of making silly comments on Twitter about having cravings and producing milk.

You say that “a lot” of what the blogger has said has been true, what has she written about that turned out to be true? Even the positive things like Leann signing a new record deal and touring overseas never happened.

      • briargal says:

Even if only half the things the blogger said were true, that’s way more truth than LeAss spits out of her disgusting mouth. She is a liar pure and simple! And a stalker, manipulator, cheating etc etc. Same old garbage all the time!!

  13. Macey says:

I dont think she really wants a baby, I think she just wants that permanent tie to Ediot. Besides that, she doesnt really have anything else to talk about. She doesnt do anything but try to prove to the world their “truth and love.”blah blah… nothing more than a publicity stunt imo.

  14. Jayna says:

It’s just their story line, guys, and they are trying to create hype now heading into the show’s premiere. I have no desire to see this show and won’t. I won’t have to worry that I will run across it anyway being that it’s on VHI at 10:30 p.m. Totally forgettable channel and odd time for me.

  15. Tiffany says:

If this story is true and LeAnn wants a child and Eddie recommended getting a dog. If that was my husband, forget a divorce, I will be on trail for cutting off his balls. Unacceptable.

  16. jwoolman says:

I wonder if Eddie was “fixed” long ago but hasn’t told her. He already has several kids. But if she goes for fertility treatments, they will want to test him.

    • P.J. says:

I actually believe that Brandi has said-or at least VERY strongly suggested-that Eddie had a vasectomy during their marriage as she was done having babies and Eddie wanted to continue “banging cocktail waitresses” without risk of knocking them up.

  17. Christin says:

Let’s try to imagine her pregnant. Nine months of nonstop sickness, selfies and planning the poor kid’s future to mirror his or her prodigy mother. Even if they went the surrogate route, I doubt it would be much different.

Maybe Eddie has thought about that, too. 😉

  18. Deanne says:

Its all probably just another pathetic attempt to drum up interest in their ridiculous reality show, but it makes sense. Eddie doesn’t want a child with her, because he likes the freedom he has sharing custody with Brandi. Unlike Brandi, 50/50 custody suits him and allows him to pay minimal child support. If LeAnn and he had a child, it would be with them 24/7 and would really tie him down. He’s only with LeAnn for the lifestyle she provides him, not to make babies with her. He doesn’t care about her future happiness, only his own. He’s got two beautiful boys already and his refusal to have kids with her, must be part of why she’s trying so hard to claim the boys as hers, even though she’s has zero custodial rights and could be cut out of their lives permanently, if anything happened to Eddie or their marriage ended. It must make her feel really desperate and frustrated. Oh well, I guess she should have taken that into consideration before she became so intent on breaking up his first marriage, that even his calling her a speed bump and ugly, didn’t deter her from racing him to the alter. She bought herself a husband who already had a family. If she wasn’t such a completely horrible person, I’d feel sorry for her.

  19. Leslie says:

I don’t think either of them wants a baby. This is just a “theme” they were forced to come up with for their non-reality show.

  20. Stephanie says:

I get the impression from these two that there was not a whole lot of talking going on before they got married.

    • Bread and Circuses says:

Yeah, I think they hurried into the marriage to save face.

I’m one of the few who hopes their marriage genuinely is fine — but finding someone hot enough to have an affair with doesn’t automatically mean they will make a good replacement spouse once you’ve been kicked to the curb.

  21. P.J. says:

“She wants a baby because she thinks that will tie her to Eddie even more.”

Maybe so but his two boys certainly didn’t stop him from sticking in into every girl in LA-INCLUDING LeAnn herself-and likely elsewhere while he was married to Brandi! Some people can convince themselves of anything…

As an aside, I finally got around to picking up Brandi’s first book ‘Drinking and Tweeting’ and my God is it juicy and hilarious 😂 There are of course two and often more sides to any story so I take a lot if it with a grain of salt, but even so, I cannot wait to read her others! (Former Bachelor star Courtney Robertson’s is also on my short list 👌)

  22. AryaMartell says:

If Eddie isn’t the one to get her pregnant, I suggest Leann find another husband to steal. Now don’t take this the wrong way, Eddie is a cheating douche canoe and I have no respect for him whatsoever but kudos to him for not bringing another child into the mix. Thank you for having enough respect for yourself to not cave into your crazy bitch wife’s demands, especially when you learned the hard way with your ex-crazy bitch wife. I have no respect for anyone in this scenario. These two women are acting like 2 15 year olds from a teen movie fighting over the douchey jv quarterback and they’re both in their 30s!! Time for everyone to grow up and move on.

This isn’t to malign anyone who has fertility problems, like I was reading in the comments above. I just don’t believe that this relationship has been conducive to Leann’s mental health and that she at the moment is mentally or emotionally capable of caring for a baby.

    • briargal says:

Mentally and emotionally she is a child herself. But then who can we blame for that?? Can we spell Bio-mom??!!

      • Deanne says:

Forget teaching morals and integrity. Belinda’s priority as Biomom, was making sure her entitled, little cash cow always got her way, so that she didn’t get cut off financially. Pork rinds don’t grow on trees you know.

      • AryaMartell says:

What’s the story with Leann’s bio mum? I know little about this.

      • claire says:

Basically what Deanne described. She told Leann over and over she was special, gift from God, let her do whatever she wanted and has long been supported by Leann. Nothing much different from Justin’s mom, Lindsay’s mom. When she sued her dad, her dad expressed a lot of concern in court that Belinda was basically letting 15-16yo Leann shack up with older men and pay for their lifestyles. History repeats itself.

  23. Ruyana says:

She never had a baby with Dean Shermet. Maybe she is infertile. And didn’t Ediot have a vasectomy? And apparently he has/has STDs also.

  24. why? says:

This interview with Extra isn’t new. It was done on June 5 when Leann was doing promotions in Nashville, it was the same day that she released the official trailer for her reality show. Leann’s show isn’t getting rave reviews and they are doing anything they can to try to save it. From paying Radaronline to write negative articles about Brandi to feeding pregnancy stories to Life and Style. Radaronline’s pregnancy story isn’t new. All they did was recap what appeared in the supertrailer that Leann released on June 5 and in the baby clip that Leann released in April and May and then they added Life and Style’s article. Since Leann had Extra air an old interview that she did the first week of June, Leann fed Life and Style the pregnancy story.

  25. Deanne says:

LeAnn’s ex, Dean Sheremet is on The Talk doing a cooking segment today. He’s very handsome, sweet and charming. He’s seriously adorable. LeAnn’s so quick to call people jealous that she’s with Eddie. Personally, I think Eddie’s a complete loser in every way and that his looks are long gone. Dean on the other hand, was a catch and she didn’t deserve him. On another note, she’s tweeting up a storm while vacationing in Hawaii. Who does that? When I go on vacation, I completely ignore social media and rarely check my phone. She’s actually tweeting compliments people are supposedly giving her and commenting on the pregnancy stuff, plus engaging haters. Ed and the bonus boys must be ignoring her.

    • Ming says:

Dean is the real winner in all of this.
He is hot, can cook, and seems to be a genuine, sweet person.

  26. Tang says:

I know a woman who lied to her husband before they married, and told him she did want children. Then after they got married, she kept making excuses after excuses about why she couldn’t start a family. Then it turned out she didn’t want kids at all, that she had lied from the get go. She just lied to get the man to marry her.

So I wonder if something like this is going on here. Maybe he knew she wanted kids, and to keep her, he initially lied and said “yeah yeah I want them too”. But it turns out he doesn’t.

  27. TG says:

Anyone with a personality disorder like narcissism or histrionic personality disorder should not have kids.

  28. Lux says:

Damn, she’s only 31!? I always assumed is she was in her early fourties (from her appearance). She is not aging well.

  29. Leslie says:

Regarding LeAnn’s tweeting all the time. I don’t think she has any kind of life outside of Twitter. Does she have any real friends, not counting the paid assistants that travel with her and Eddie? Plus, I don’t see her and Eddie having any kind of friendship other than the “we hate Brandi” connection. She tweets all the time, even on vacation, because that’s all she knows how to do. If she knew hot to have fun, and enjoy life, she would put down that phone and go swimming (not for it to be filmed but for enjoyment).

    • TheTruthHurts says:

Plus, the people she does tweet are needy, weird, dependent, obsessed fans that think they are really friends with her. They all have serious issues and never talk to her about anything but ailments. You just know she is jealous of Brandi’s twitter fans, no matter how obnoxious they get because they are just normal girls with a bitchy side.

  30. Gritsngreens says:

How does everyone in the free world know that he had a vasectomy and she doesn’t?
Or, she does and it’s just fuel for the press. Either way, I feel sorry for her. A fulfilling and happy life is passing her by in her quest to “keep her man” and “keep the haters at bay”

    Train wreck is approaching.
    Quickly

  31. Jenny12 says:

I think they are playing on everyone’s comments to get them to watch- “You see, I knew it!” Not that there isn’t truth to it, but they are playing it to get attention. Whatever is going on, I think Eddie just doesn’t want any more kids and likes his life of leisure and vacations. I think Leann focuses on the boys to have some control over Brandi- “They’re with me, too bad, nothing you can do about it”- and because she knows there won’t be any kids of her own for her. How desperate to you have to be to sell your own bad press? Whether it’s the truth or not, why would you want people to hear you begging your husband to have a baby or show your jealousy of his ex, or have your husband humiliate you purposely? She should hate Eddie, not Brandi.

  32. MY TWO CENTS says:

Nothing more than a publicity stunt. Somebody posted an old article from her Dean days and she said the exact same things word for word in an interview she did while still married to him. Can’t believe everybody can’t see right through her pr stunts. She’s just setting up the main story line for their crap show. Dumb broad tweeted yesterday they were having to stay in and hide from the paps. I said to myself she’s setting up the beach pics. Today, what do you know, posed pics on Daily Fail of her and Eddie walking along so blissfully happy on the beach. They were so obviously staged it was pathetic. By the way, where’s Kiki these days (her paid bff)? Could she no longer afford to have her accompany her everywhere or did Kiki get sick and tired of Leann too??

    • Kelliekat says:

ITA. The whole story line is a lie. I really hope people don’t watch this show, and give more encouragement for her to exploit her stepsons. These kids have had enough media and paparazzi for a lifetime and need a chance for privacy. I hope the show is cancelled.

  33. SouthernGal says:

I’m heading to Hawaii in two weeks for an entire month. We visit every year. LeAnn is a liar. Period. I have friends that live in Oahu and Maui and the PAPS do not hunt down celebrities. As a matter of fact, they can walk around the islands without being noticed most of the time. LeAnn called the paps to photograph them somewhere on the North Shore in Oahu and by the looks of the pics it is totally staged. Why did she even bother to announce they were even going to Hawaii if she wants privacy? So fake and pathetic.

We are visiting 3 islands on our stay and I guarantee you I won’t be bothered with any social media or emails. As a matter of fact, we will only turn on our phones once a day to check and respond to text messages. I will be too busy living and enjoying the ALOHA life.

  34. Fah que says:

Someone please tell me what she’s done to cause that huge forehead vein she’s been sporting for the last few years? I’m stayin far away from whatever it is. Gross!

  35. Christin says:

The cast bios are interesting. Wonder who wrote them? The link will open with top billed songstress and the other bios are below hers.

    http://www.vh1.com/celebrities/leann-rimes-cibran/

I just noticed they misspelled her last name in the link. 🙂

I haven’t read them all, but noticed the assistant isn’t also identified as the nanny; bonus friend Lizzy is now sane after ditching Brandi and bio-mom is a lot like daughter.

    • Michele says:

I notice that VH1 gives no opportunity for people to make comments about this God forsaken show because of the sh*t storm it will cause. LMAO they certainly know what NOT to do.

Yeah, they must have learned from those early clips that disappeared. I saw those clips shortly before they were pulled each time (links had been posted on sites so they had been up for awhile), and the number of views were in the 200-350 range. Not huge numbers, especially considering the curiosity factor was probably higher then.

Well if they get a dog, then there will be two dogs in the house. LeAnn and the little doggie from the pound. How cute! 😉

Meeeehhh, if she wanted a baby so bad, she could have had a baby with a nice, non cheating husband like Dean. Look at the hunk he turned into once he was set free. Good looking, funny, classy & a chef. YUM. LeAnn doing this baby talk with Eddie is all about trapping him and having what Brandi has with him. It’s a possession for her, not the yearning to be a mother.
