If she needs to stay there to be 'better' then that's a good thing and she needs to do that. The addiction will always be lurking in the background but if she's coping with it in St. Lucia, or wherever, it's a start. There is no ‘cure’ for addiction. And drugs are absurdly plentiful there. She always seems to be pinning all her hopes on one band-aid after another, instead of dealing with her actual issues and recognizing and reining in her addiction demons in treatment. Don't get me wrong--good luck to her, and a change of scene can sometimes help to shake up routines. But if she's staying sober (or sober-ish), it's got more to do with her or a program of some sort than it does with relocation. It’s true, you can really get away from drugs in the Caribbean.
