Sigh… such pretty pictures of The Bloke. Tom Hardy was filming Legend yesterday in London with Christopher Eccleston and David Thewlis. I understand that there are some old-schol Eccleston-loonies around here, so I’m including a few photos of him as well. Personally, I don’t get the Eccleston-love. It’s like loving Cillian Murphy – Eccleston just has that “psycho look” like you don’t know if he’s going to stab you or bite you or destroy you.
As for Tom… God, he looks so good here. Something about a crisp white button-down and slicked down hair. I don’t even mind the cigarette! The cig isn’t lit in most of these photos, and I have no idea if he’s smoking for real or if he’s in character. Either way… I would hit it. And then some. Those lips. Damn.
(Incidentally, when I was procrastinating reading this month’s CB Book Club selection, I tore through one of the trashiest summer books ever, Sweet Filthy Boy. While the main dude is a Frenchman, there’s something about these Hardy pics that is reminding me of that book. Like, if Tom and Gaspard Ulliel had a love child that grew up to be a sex addict, that’s the main character.)
In other bloke news, Tom recently signed on to yet another movie. This one is called The Revenant, and Tom will be working with Leonardo DiCaprio. It’s set in the 19th century. Blah.

Love, love, love David Thewlis! When is this film being released? I don’t even care whether its about kittens in outer space or an opera about murders happening at deep sea; with that cast, I’m there opening night!
He was great in Naked. One of the best movies of the 90s IMO.

Did you see “Inception”? I just did (yes I know I’m all kinds of late) but OMG. I’d heard of Tom Hardy before that movie (but didn’t understand the love).

Yeah “Inception” is one of my all time favorite movies and the movie where I fell in love with Tom for the first time 🙂 But Cobb and Eames didn’t really share that many scenes in it so I hope to see more Leo/Tom interaction in their new movie.

Whoa. There is an air to him… a super masculine one that I find incredibly appealing. It’s funny though because there was the whole “is he bi-sexual” thing for awhile and then he described himself as some weak feminine little man. He has a killer man-bitch face. Love it.
