I’ve gotten some requests to cover this so… sigh. Let’s do it. LeAnn Rimes is really starting to amp up the promotion for LeAnn & Eddie, the VH1 reality show. She really hopes that this show will jump-start her country music career so that she can have some money coming in – at the moment, the money is just going out. Mostly to buy Eddie “presents.” So, she’s trying this whole “touring” thing again and this is how she announced it:
I guess this is supposed to be cute? But I’m just embarrassed for her. I’m embarrassed that I watched this mess and that I listened to that “song.” It’s not schadenfreude either – I’m not pleased that she’s failing. I’m just embarrassed.
Meanwhile, Life & Style has a story this week about the VH1 show. Allegedly, Eddie is “secretly humiliated” by LeAnn’s antics and their marriage is seriously on the rocks. LeAnn spends a lot of time on camera engaging in “drunken tirades, crude behavior and inappropriate talk” in front of his kids. Eddie “doesn’t even want to promote” the show. Here’s the funniest quote: “She thinks it’s normal to get into bed and burp and fart under the covers and waft it toward Eddie. He doesn’t want his wife to look that way for the world to see…. Then at one point on the show, she says something ridiculous about sex to the kids, and Eddie tries to stop her.” She needs to stop wafting the farts towards him and just shove his head under the covers and dutch oven him. For what it’s worth, Gossip Cop’s sources say the story is full of lies.

Therapy won’t work for her because she will always do whatever she wants to do. In her own delusional mind she is so perfect just the way she is. It wasn’t her fault that Eddie fell for her!!! He just couldn’t resist her and her beautiful body! (In reality–MONEY) She doesn’t think she needs help as her mommy has always said she is a perfect little angel! Her mommy should have had therapy a long time ago and dragged her little angel along with her! Mommy let her run wild and think she could no way do anything wrong. No wonder she still thinks that way!
In 2012 post-tweehab interviews, she mentioned being in therapy for years. I guess we can debate the effectiveness, but that was her claim. She waxed on about her missed childhood, lack of tools, etc. and mentioned years of therapy sessions.
Yeah she has claimed therapy but based on how reliable anything is that comes out of her mouth (in other words all the other lies), can we believe this??? And she should still be in a rubber room with a straight jacket-like bikini on!
And based on how well her rehab worked a couple years ago, she didn’t learn anything in therapy either!

Am I the only one who would rather see LaToya in concert, if forced to make a choice between the two? She would probably actually show up, and her talk between songs might be more interesting. Maybe.
I actually believe her claim that she has been in therapy for years considering how much she loves talking about herself. I’m sure to her a therapist is a captive (paid) audience. Now the effectiveness of her therapy… well that is another question entirely.
I always forget she is such a good singer. She could have survived this scandal, if she just shut -up. But she refuses to, and this VH1 show will be a disaster.

Yeah, sometime in the last several months I saw some video of her singing as a kid. She was more than competent and had a great range. I never knew about that part of her history. It’s a shame, really, that she decided to abandon the focus on her gift and to resort to so much fame-whoring instead.
She has a great voice. When living in Nashville while married in her 20’s, she had lots of friends in the industry, she was very well liked and respected. It’s such a shame she has thrown all that respect and good will away.

Yup, she has a great voice. Too bad she lost her dignity so happily and continues to remind the public of all the reasons to disrespect or dislike her. Manistee MIchigan–not Minnesota dumb LeAss!–is only a couple hours from me and I’m thinking she is doing the concert at a casino there. I, at first, was thinking I should go and boo her or wear a t-shirt saying Team Brandi. But I am with you– I would never go to one of her concerts. I will contact my local country music stations and ask them to not promote her concert. Not even to give away all the free tickets I’m sure the casino will be giving out just to have people show up. And I will contact the casino and let them know how sickening it is to have her signed. As stupid as she is, maybe she will go to Minnesota–sorry all you people in Minnesota–but I don’t want her here!

TOK, I share your sentiment. I couldn’t help but notice that even when she tries to appear affable, she cannot to save her life. All, and I mean ALL, of her expressions are just so nasty & bitter.
Also, I remember vaguely her childhood hit. Comparing her vocal skill set from then to now, the deterioration is shocking. Didn’t appreciate her then, cannot stomach her now.

That was the most cringeworthy thing I’ve watched in recent memory, which is saying something since I’ve been forced to sit through multiple episodes of Ridiculousness on MTV over the past 3 weeks by a houseguest.

As for Eddie/Leann break up rumors, I think Eddie will never leave her, at least not in the forseeable future. Leann lost the weight she gained last year and Eddie is a lazy fool who seems content living off her income. And Leann indulges Eddie’s hatred for Brandi and its clear from the TV promos that they really love to bitch about and plot against Brandi together. It’s a game/hobby for them. If he left Leann for another chick, guaranteed the next chick would find it creepy and annoying how much Eddie obsessively hates his ex wife Brandi. No way would the next chick indulge him in such behavior.

I would be surprised to hear that she had. At least any time in the last 15 years. Maybe when she was 11. Overall, she’s just had so much smoke blown up her ass that I’m sure she doesn’t think she would ever need it. And she overlooks the quality of her singing by focusing on the hate being due to people being jealous, Brandi turned people against her, etc. But the thing about her indecipherable lyrics has been a criticism for many years, pre-Eddie. There was also a lot of criticism in her earlier career about how they were having a young girl sing adult lyrics and she didn’t have the emotion or soul to successfully carry the songs. I suspect that might be why she started getting worse with pronunciation and runs – she thinks it’s injecting emotion.
The enunciation and vocal acrobatics have been present for years. I prefer Trisha’s version of How Do I Live for that reason.
In my personal opinion, she was very young and overhyped (parents and others had to keep that money flowing while they could). She really has had a lot of people feeding the ego for years, so it’s no wonder there are hints of smugness in her appearances from many years ago.
She would be more liked if she would accept she is not an a-list singer. She had her day and was lucky enough to greatly profit from it.

The Brandi fans at times are the saddest bunch on Twitter. Tweets day in and day out. One whom I won’t name who is going to boycott the show has a picture of Leann and Eddie’s reality show as her twitter header background. It advertises the time, date and channel of when the show will be on. Boycotting yet that’s the background on her twitter. The irony is astounding.
She’s brought it onto herself. Shes the one who puts herself out there constantly. She’s desperate to have the accolades and attention she had twenty years ago, when she was someone in the music industry. She can’t act like a desperate, attention seeker and expect everyone to like it and praise her. Brandi fans certainly aren’t the saddest. There are a few fans from both camps that seem more invested than may be healthy, but LeAnn has fans who do the same type of things with their Twitter accounts and worse. They mistakenly believe LeAnn is their real friend and that they have a close relationship with her. Even her close friends and employees have harassed and abused Brandi in the past on Twitter. Not defended LeAnn but straight up harassed Brandi. A lot of people who don’t like LeAnn, aren’t even Brandi fans. It isn’t mutually exclusive territory. LeAnn would die if she wasn’t getting attention. She seems to revel in it, even if it’s negative.

That was embarrassingly bad. I can’t stand the woman, but I’m seriously humiliated for her. Is she really so lacking in self awareness, that she thinks this catastrophe is cute and clever? My kids have produced better movies for school projects, using iMovie. There are spelling mistakes in the graphics and she doesn’t even sing the right states. Who from her team allowed this crap to be made? Has she even got a team anymore? I know she doesn’t have a record deal, so who’s paying for the Christmas album? If this POS is the best promotion she can afford, money must be dwindling because that was about as low rent as it gets. TV critics walked out the screening of their show and trashed it on Twitter, calling it things like grim, boring, ridiculously petty and incredibly bad, just to name a few. LeAnn, being the deluded soul she is, will of course tweet about what great feedback they are getting and how much everyone loves the show.
Sometimes I wonder if the ‘team’ consists of the kids’ classmates. All the adults seem to be yes people depending on her for freebies, fun and getting a tiny piece of the d-list spotlight.

She likes to claim that she only has a few “haters”, but those comments prove otherwise. Most of her identity is based on her own delusions. She’s thinks she’s still a relevant, top selling rartist, who won the love of a successful, hot, actor. Everyone’s jealous of her and wishes they were her. From what I gleaned, a lot of people are either disgusted by this couple, don’t care about this couple and in fact, a lot don’t even know who he is. Considering the fact that tv critics skewered it and many even walked out of the screening for the show, her claims of mostly positive feedback is another one of her delusions.
