Prince Felix & Princess Claire of Luxembourg christen baby daughter Amalia

Prince Felix of Luxembourg married Princess Claire last year, and almost nine months exactly later, Claire gave birth to Princess Amalia of Luxembourg, the littlest member of Luxembourg’s royal family. Claire gave birth about a month ago, and the christening was held this weekend in France. All of the Luxembourg royals came out, as did Claire’s (commoner) parents. It looks like Princess Amalia slept through the whole thing in her daddy’s arms. She’s a sleepy princess. So, let’s look at nice photos… once again, Prince Claire just looks radiantly beautiful. She looks real, you know? She doesn’t look like a doll, her makeup isn’t too heavy, her smile is easy and unforced. She just looks incredibly happy. And Prince Felix is lovely with a baby in his arms.

Here’s Prince Guillaume and his wife Princess Stephanie. I’m going through Wiki to get this right… Guillaume is the oldest son of Grand Duke Henri? And Guillaume and Stephanie don’t have any kids. Yet.

Prince Louis and his wife Princess Tessy and their two sons, Prince Gabriel and Prince Noah. Louis is two years younger than his brother Felix.

And here’s the group shot of Felix, Claire and Amalia with Amalia’s grandparents, Grand Duchess Maria-Theresa of Luxembourg, Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg, Hartmut Lademacher and Gabriele Lademacher-Schneider. Very cute.

Prince Louis is giving me Richard ‘thornbirds’ Chamberlain flashback!!!

On an even more superficial note, Stephanie is a terrible dresser. She makes our Kate look like high fashion although Stephanie was the best dressed bride out of all the recent royal weddings.

    • The Original Mia says:

Stephanie cannot dress. Speaking of your dear Duchess, Enty is reporting news of a pregnancy from an old friend of hers.

      • LAK says:

        Unless it’s Tanna, I don’t believe it.

That said, pointless to speculate since the palace will put out a statement as soon as it’s confirmed – no waiting for end of first trimester and certainly no secret pregnancies allowed unless they plan to hide/adopt/get rid of the baby.

  2. Panache says:

Oooh, she’s so little! Very cute.

  3. Aussie girl says:

These royals just look like normal nice people. Prince Gabriel sons are so different, with one been so blonde and the other with brown hair.

    • Margaret says:

Yeah they are different; my two sons look nothing alike and have completely different personalities.

  4. kri says:

A very lovely family. The kid slept through the whole thing? Very chill, Amalia. I love Claire’s face so much!

  5. blue marie says:

Cute family photos, they all look very happy.

  6. Talie says:

Yes, Guillaume is the eldest. Lousi and Tessy have been together awhile… I believe they got pregnant out of wedlock and it was minor scandal.

    • Syko says:

There was a scandal. Louis was still a teen when he went to review the troops, and met Tessy, who was enlisted in the army. At first he acknowledged paternity but was not going to marry her (probably the parents talking there), then when Gabriel was about a year old, they did marry. It was sometime later before the Grand Duke gave Tessy the princess title, and made the two little boys princes. No matter, they seem very happy together and the boys are adorable. Last I heard, they were living in London.

Nice pictures. I always get this royal family confused with Princess Angela’s in Liechtenstein.

  8. lower-case deb says:

pretty! her aesthetics look a bit like Amal Amaludin. i’m not sure i like Louis’s moustache.

  9. Tiffany says:

What is with the royal women and their awful shoe game. If I have a endless clothing allowance, my shoe collection will be fantastic because I am a princess dang blast it.

  10. Adrien says:

    Omg, they’re gorgeous.

  11. Carol says:

I think Claire’s dress I too short and caudal for the occasion, but everyone looks happy and healthy so all’s good.

  12. kibbles says:

I’d rather see Princess Claire over Duchess Kate any day. Felix and Claire seem genuinely happy. The baby is so cute too. Too bad the media likes to focus almost all its Royal attention on Kate and William.

  13. Pri says:

For a Royal family they dress pretty badly. Especially the men – Princes Felix and Louis just couldn’t find fitted suits huh? They’re like hangars!

But they look cute as a family. Happy smiles!!

    • Margaret says:

Exactly! I’m surprised at the poor tailoring. And please, Felix, grooming the beard never hurts. No snark intended, I’m sure they’re lovely people.

This family truly have hot Princes. I’ve always had a little crushy-poo on Prince Guillaume with his sexy beard. His wife’s wedding dress and hair style was the business!

As for this couple, Prince Felix and Claire are just so lovely, aren’t they? Kaiser describe her well. She doesn’t come across stiff or as if she is “acting” role. She just seems so warm and genuine. Lovely smile as well. I like his royal couple. I’ve yet to see them take a bad picture.

  15. maybeiamcrazy says:

They look great and happy. I like that they are dressed casually.

  16. kristina says:

Claire is without a doubt very camera hungry.

  17. Louise says:

Lovely family, I wish they ruled over a bigger country so we could get more coverage of their activities. Stephanie is the better educated, poised and with the best style of all royal ladies, also love her hair do’s. Claire’s “commoner” parents are almost billionaires lol.

  18. ickythump says:

Clare looks so natural and totally happy with her luvly hubby and beautiful baby – many blessings to them and their precious little one xx
