Did Taylor Swift ask her BFF Karlie Kloss to move into her Beverly Hills mansion?

swifty1

I don’t know when Karlie Kloss and Taylor Swift met for the first time, but ever since they buddied up at the Victoria’s Secret show late last year, they’ve been really tight. They took a girls’ trip to Big Sur, they’ve hung out together in LA, and now that Taylor’s living full time in NYC, she and Karlie spend oodles of time together. Karlie even recommended a gym and trainer for Swifty, which is where Swifty gets pap’d all the time. They bake cookies together. They go shopping together. They do lunch all the time. And now sources are saying that they’ve moved in together.

Taylor Swift has had her fair share of relationship dramas – and mined them as material for her chart-topping songs. They’ve ranged from a very public break-up from One Direction lothario Harry Styles to a bitter feud with bosom pal Selena Gomez. But it seems the 24-year-old country singer has found her soulmate in the form of her new best friend, supermodel Karlie Kloss, who is now living with Taylor in her sprawling £2 million Beverly Hills home.

Victoria’s Secret model Karlie, 22, moved in just a few weeks ago, with sources close to the singer telling me that the duo have since been ‘completely inseparable’.

‘Taylor and Karlie have grown very close,’ the source told me. ‘They are inseparable. Taylor wanted someone to live with her, to have some company, and Karlie jumped at the chance to move in with her friend. They spent a lot of time together before Karlie moved in but now they are rarely apart. They do everything together, from visits to the gym to going on road trips.’

Taylor certainly wasted no time in sharing her fondness for her new room-mate with her fans, posting a sentimental birthday message for the model on her Instagram account: ‘Happy 22nd birthday to @karliekloss, who is made out of 100% sunshine.’

I can’t help but wonder whether Taylor’s next big hit will be written about Karlie…

[From The Daily Mail]

It seems weird that this report claims Karlie has moved into Taylor’s Beverly Hills home, when Taylor has barely been in California for months. Does Karlie live with Swifty in NYC? That would be interesting, I guess. And to be fair, I think Taylor and Karlie really do enjoy each other’s company. This isn’t just one of Taylor’s weird playdates. Taylor and Karlie are so similar, so sisterly, that this makes some kind of sense.

Also – this made me embarrassed for Swifty. She posted this video (below) on her Twitter as some kind of preview of her Tonight Show appearance. This is her “alter ego” Natalie and Natalie wants to take part in Jimmy Fallon’s “Ew!” bit.

Swifty goes through BFFs like those Charmin bears go thru toilet paper. At least she’s not clinging to a dude? Mazel!

    • Anna says:

What friend has she dropped? She says in touch with people – she was with Selena two nights ago, Emma Stone a couple of weeks ago…

  2. E says:

I know she is not popular in this site, I don’t even have an opinion on her music (I listen to completely different styles) but… She has an amazing body and style. If I had her body and money I would dress like her.

    • Liv says:

I don’t know why she gets that much “hate” either. She’s a bit vanilla and I don’t like that she’s got implants, but she seems put together and pretty smart. Also she’s friends with Emma Stone, she can’t be that bad. 😉

    • Sullivan says:

Agree. I like her style and she does have a lovely figure.

    • JennySerenity says:

Poor Swifty does get the knocks here, eh? I think she’s sweet and harmless. She obviously has one helluva work ethic and I kind of enjoy her quirkiness.

  3. Bshg says:

I don’t see the appeal of Karlie.

  4. Dani2 says:

    Dream OTP.

  5. Birdie says:

    They look so much alike.

    • Dani2 says:

Yup, saw Karlie on a site a couple days back and had to do a double take cuz I thought she was Taylor.

    • Talie says:

Yeah, I would totally believe they were related.

    • Hissyfit says:

      They look like sisters.

      • Mike says:

Maybe that is the appeal to Taylor, She gets a look alike and a pretend sister too. I personally would go nuts if I were hanging around Taylor Swift all day. She is very pretty but she sure comes across as super high maintenance

      • Vava says:

they do look like they could be sisters.

I think it’s great they are such good friends. They seem to have similar interests and have fun together, so no shading from me on this one.

  6. NewWester says:

Considering the size of some of these mansions I would like a close friend to live with me. It would get lonely at times I imagine.

    • Tiffany :) says:

Very true. Plus, if Taylor is going to be out promoting her new album, or spending a lot of time in NYC, it might be helpful to have someone staying in your LA home that you don’t have to pay (like a groundskeeper, housekeeper, etc.)

  7. Kiddo says:

If she never went to College or had that first apartment, then it’s probably good to have a roommate to learn how to live with other people. The only thing that might spell doom is this, “made out of 100% sunshine” quote. No one can live up to that and somewhere along the line, a human will be less than sunshine-y, or will leave socks on the floor, leave crap on the bathroom sinks, or display some other annoying habit. Maybe it’s all different when you have maids. I couldn’t tell you.

  8. Macey says:

My mom always used to warn me that the quickest way to lose a friend was to live with them.
I always had my besties that I spent a lot of time with since I was single more times than not but I would never want to live with any of them.

    • Dani2 says:

THIS. I tried living with my best friend right after Uni, and girl, our personalities clashed SO much, we decided to live separately in order to preserve our relationship.

      • Linn says:

I agree about that when we are talking about a “normal-sized” apartment, but I can see that work for people living in a big mansion.

And both Karlie and Taylor are travelling so much they possibly wouldn’t be around each other that much anyway.

    • Eleonor says:

I have lived with my best friend and we used to get along really well, I still miss the wakeup call in the morning: we used to jump into each other bed and sleep-cuddle (the other girls at a certain point started to join us) before breakfast. Or watching movies together the sunday evening. Ten years later we are still friends 🙂
Plus I bet having maids who do all the cleaning work can help a LOT.

  9. The Wizz says:

    They make a cute couple.

  10. Abby says:

I lived with two friends in college, and it was a disaster. I lived with another friend in college, and it was awesome. At that age and with her giant houses and crazy life, I’d totally have a friend move in with me.

  11. Dash says:

Imagine if they were a secret couple.

    • ataylor says:

That also crossed my mind. Especially since she has…ahem…”dated” Taylor Lautner, Harry Styles and Jake Gyllenhaal…

Connor Kennedy (the high school boy) & John Meyer being the outliers of course…although there has been talk about Meyer being bi-sexual before so…

    • Chris says:

I’m surprised it’s taken until the 11th comment for someone to mention that. I look at these two and wonder when the last time was that either of them did any real work.

    • Dinah says:

There have been rumors saying as much for months. Circumstantially, there is some credibility.

    • KIddo says:

That would make her more interesting than the perpetual pre-teen act she’s been doing.

    • raindrop says:

My first thought, as well. They look SO much alike that they’d make an odd couple, visually, but otherwise it does seem like they’re dating.

  12. Faye says:

Karlie spends much of the year traveling for the fashion shows, and she has a place in New York and does a lot of editorial/advertising work there. I suspect she just spends brief periods of time in LA and rather than get a place, it makes more sense to bunk in with Taylor.

  13. epiphany says:

I think it’s hilarious how everyone is tiptoeing around the obvious. Despite the childish mentality of her songs, Swift is a 25 year old WOMAN. Do you really think she wants a friend to move in with her so she won’t be alone, like an extended sleepover for 10 year olds? We know she’s bearded for guys… maybe they were bearding for her as well.

    • Linn says:

She’s single, she’s got a huge house and her friend won’t be there all that often anyway due to her job.

If I was in her position I might want to have a friend move in with me. And I’m a 25 year old straight WOMAN.

Nothing obvious about it at all. Many people prefer to live with friends over living alone.

    • Allie says:

I don’t think its weird that a 25 year old would live with a roommate, as I’m that age and I know several people who are the doing the same. However, its mostly because we aren’t millionaires and need a roommate financially. I think it’d be cool if Taylor came out as a lesbian. Also, can someone explain why people think Harry Styles is gay? I think he’s adorable but I don’t see it!

      • Annie says:

The more I think about Taylor-Moves-Swiftly the more she pings my gaydar. It would also make more sense of her song lyrics.

    • Tiffany :) says:

Celebs have people live with them allllll the time! Big houses are scary/lonely to live in by yourself. It is nice to have someone there to pick up Fed Ex packages from your front door so they don’t get stolen. Its nice to have someone physically there so you don’t get robbed if the house looks vacant. Plus, friends can be trusted more than people you employ.

It is more typical than unusual for a celeb to have someone live with them if they aren’t married or in a live-in romantic relationship.

  14. Hotpockets says:

Honestly, the last photo of them together screams “Single White Female.” Swift being the stalkerish one.

  15. Kcarp says:

Her and her BFF have matching granny purses.

  16. We Are All Made of Stars says:

Is she trying to copy Katy Perry with that stupid video?

  17. Lauren says:

I wonder what Jourdan Dunn thinks about all this. I know her and Karlie were ‘best friends forever’ and Karlie is even the godmother to Jourdan’s son. Not saying that Karlie can’t have more than one best friend but it seems like Taylor Swift finds a girl to be her best friend for the moment and then maybe gets bored of them and finds someone else. They also seem to be morphing into the same person which is a bit scary and single white female-ish.

  18. Laura says:

    Rabbit people!

  19. captain says:

In the first picture Taylor looks like Milla Jovovic. Haven’t seen her eyes so wide. She’s gorgeous and has more supermodel star quality than her friend. And she can sing and write music, looking like that! No wonder it’s not easy for her to find a match. Some computer genius or a prince would do nicely! Or a president! She’d be so much fun, better than Carla Bruni.

  20. rtms77 says:

Swift goes through and uses BFF’s like favorite blouses or shirts. It’s all great for the first few months of newness but after a few washes and showing off, the bloom wears off and it’s left in the closet. Swift acts this way with all her girlfriends. First it was Dianna Aragon, then Emma Stone, then Selena and now Karlie. This will go on for a year and then Taylor will get bored and move on. She has the same problem with girlfriends as she does with boyfriends. She’s eternally looking for that perfect person and will never find them.

    • captain says:

She hasn’t been looking for 20 years, don’t give up on her ))) In some things it’s better to be picky than to jump at the first thing available.
