Kendall Jenner sent a cease & desist to the waitress who tweeted about her

wenn21609441

Bedhead usually covers the Jenner sisters, which is fine with me because I have a full plate of Dris Nipples and Pinocchio Butts and honestly, the Jenner girls annoy me. But in the Teen Choice Awards post that I did earlier this week, I mentioned this awful Kendall Jenner story and now there’s a follow up. Pray for me. The story on Monday came from Page Six – apparently, Kendall and a friend ate at a NYC restaurant and they didn’t pay for their meal at first. Their waitress rushed outside after them, asking for them to pay. Kendall, according to Page Six and this waitress, threw a few $20 bills in the waitress’s face. Well, Kendall took to Twitter to deny the incident:

If a Kardashian or Jenner denies something, that’s when you know it’s true. Just my opinion. And the whole “I was raised better than that” argument falls flat with me – all of the Kardashian-Jenner girls would have been better off being raised by wolves. Anyway, it seems like Kendall wasn’t content to simply deny the waitress’s account of things and move on. Nope. Kendall has now sent a cease and desist order to the waitress who claimed Kendall threw money in her face.

Kendall Jenner remains offended. Lawyers for the 18-year-old E! star have sent a cease and desist notice to former Skins actress Blaine Morris, demanding that she print an “appropriate retraction and sincere apology” for a tweet that allegedly formed the basis for an Aug. 10 New York Post story claiming that Kendall and pal Hailey Baldwin dined at a New York restaurant, left without paying because they were refused alcohol service and then flippantly tossed money at Morris—their server that night—when she ran after them with the bill.

“That horrible moment you chase a Kardashian down the street because she forgot to pay her bill to be thrown money in your face,” read the tweet, dated Aug. 5, that Morris later deleted.

But Kendall wants more than self-vindication. In the cease-and-desist letter to Blaine, a copy of which has been obtained by E! News, attorney Martin Singer alleged she was the source of the “false and fabricated Statements” used by the Post and called both her statements and tweet “completely false, fabricated and defamatory.”

“As you know, when you waited on my client at Mercer Kitchen last week, there was no issue with service whatsoever,” Singer charges, writing that Kendall and her party “inadvertently forgot to take care of the bill before walking out.” While he agreed with the assertion that Morris followed them out of the restaurant, “there was absolutely no scene as described in the Statements and the Tweet,” he wrote.

Kendall “politely handed you $40” on a $33 bill and there is “absolutely no truth to your Statements and the Tweet that the money was ‘thrown…in your face,'” Singer continued. (The Post reported that the bill had come to about $60 and Kendall flung a couple of twenties in Morris’ direction.)

“Although you are working as a waitress…I understand that you are also a struggling actress whose credits include a handful of television appearances,” Singer also wrote. “You no doubt concocted a fictionalized account of your encounter with my client in order to create publicity for yourself and raise your own public profile.”

[From E! News]

Damn. Someone did some actual research on this waitress’s life and now the Kardashian-Jenner lawyers are sending out cease & desist letters and veiled threats? Harsh. So, there you go. Kendall is going to defend her honor, even if it means calling her family’s attorney and having him issue threats!

You were raised by Kris Jenner… so….

    • Dani2 says:

      Yup, exactly.

    • MCraw says:

They all fight pretty dirty. Funny story: so my dad, who uses IG, saw one of Kim’s pics 2yrs ago and commented how fat she is and laughed. I know, he’s a dummy. But! What happened afterward was bizarre: Jonathan Cheban saw the comment (maybe Kim cried about it?) and went on EVERY PHOTO that had my dad’s wife and small daughters and called every one of them fat ugly whales who should never come out to the light of day. My dad was furious and had this back and forth with Cheban. Learned two things: 1) these girls know everything being said about them and they care 2) they release the hounds to mercilessly go after anyone who has anything nasty to say about them, even nobodies like ol pops. My dad learned his lesson!

      • yariettt says:

Wow. I am sorry your dad got her vile creature sicced (sp?) on him. They are so gross.

      • Tiffany :) says:

That is really pathetic that they would care that much and take so much effort to go after your father.

      • Sally says:

Wow, why is your dad– an adult male–calling a woman fat to begin with? How is that even funny? Is it funny to troll women online and call them fat and then wonder why people (celebs included) have eating disorders or have so much plastic surgery. Sure Johnathon’s fight with your dad was petty, but your dad needs to learn to respect women.

      • Anna says:

:/ why is your Dad even calling women fat on their IG pictures to begin with. I’m glad he learned his lesson, seriously where does he get off doing that????? Even if it was Kim she’s still human and your dad doesn’t get a “kudos” for insulting someone online and laughing at their body. I don’t really see how your story is funny, maybe if you understand why your dad was mad because it hurt his wife’s feelings then you can understand why Kim would’ve been hurt?
I’m truly surprised a grown man and a father is behaving that way.

      • Nila says:

It sounds like your dad got what he deserved! He started it. What did he expect to happen?

      • Sarah says:

In her dad’s defence (yes, it was an insensitive comment), the Klan put themselves out there on the internet on a full time basis (endlessly promoting every little thing they do). And Kim is forever lying and telling us she is a size 0 while squeezing herself into embarrassingly tight clothes that make her look fatter than she is. If the internet wasn’t drowning in mindless details of her life, I might have some sympathy for her. But I don’t.

      • Bob Loblaw says:

Oh yeah, calling someone fat totally means you get to harass their family that had nothing to do with it. Kim and her friends are just bullies, a normal person doesn’t react like that to some strangers obnoxious comment on the Internet. Plus, the guy is entitled to think she’s fat and tell her so, she needs to get over it, and move on with her life. Not everyone likes you, Kim, you’re not only going to receive compliments, the Internet is full of mean people like you.

      • Jarredsgirl says:

Sarah I don’t understand your logic.

Let me get this straight: So, because KK “puts herself out there” and likes attention, that means you then have the right to call her insulting names? Why?… I don’t follow. Do you not like people who “put themselves out there”? What’s so bad about “putting yourself out there”? At least you are being entertained, right? Which is why you come to this website, no? You don’t like the people who are entertaining you and think it’s ok to insult them, simply because they dared to put themselves out there in order to entertain you? #Flawedlogic

It’s one thing if you don’t like someone… just say so. Just own it.. don’t be all like, “well it’s their fault for putting themselves out there!”

      • Kerrboom says:

@Sarah: If Kim K is a size 0 then I’m a freakin unicorn. *I’m* a size 0; I’m 5’0″ tall and weigh 94 lbs. A size 0 is snug on me and my ass is no where near as huge as hers. Wow, she’s an idiot and so is anyone who believes her lies.

      • homegrrrl says:

Everyone has the right to comment honestly to public information. Your father calling me fat isn’t going to make my brain think I need plastic surgery or give me an eating disorder, that’s absurd! Body dysmorphic symptoms appear in reaction to a primary care giver who is inappropriate and or abusive- commenters on blogs don’t have that kind of power. I believe in the right for -all comments- troll and refined alike. That said, it goes two ways. If your dad calls me fat, I have the right to find his family pix and call them all ugly, fat or whatever. NOt that I would, I don’t put myself into the food chain of predator and prey, I rarely comment in a forum that is pure open air ugliness. Fair is fair, and I don’t believe in censorship in any form.

      • Denise says:

This confirms my suspicions that Jonathan Cheban really has absolutely nothing to do.

    • Rice says:

If it wasn’t true, then why makes a big deal with a cease and desist letter? And why have your legal mouthpiece give such an overtly insulting statement about the waitress?

      • Pandy says:

No kidding! Vicious response AND how much did it cost to sic the mouthpiece on her? Probably more than a couple of twenties thrown at him …

      • gefeylich says:

No worries – some lawyer willing to take on the Kartrashian/Jenners will hop to a counter-suit ASAP. They’ll posture for a while and then forget the whole thing.

Little Kendall had better realize that acting out in public is NOT going to help her shed the Kardashian taint. Everyone has a cellphone now. People around her will recognize her and be very eager to report her bratty, entitled, low-rent behavior to whoever will post it.

The Kardashians think a good defense is a good offense, but they seem to have forgotten than Kendull did a dine-and-dash. That’s a crime, even for stupid nouveau-riche famewhores.

      • Bob Loblaw says:

Doesn’t it also give the waitress a ton more press coverage? First story I read had no mention of the waitress being an actress, now we have her name and aspirations being publicized. If she wanted this to go away quietly, she should have denied it and then ignored it. Now it’s news, and Kendall looks like a bitch no matter what.

    • gefeylich says:

Of course – this is all part of PMK’s aggressive new campaign to make her moneymakers seem like victims. We should all feel sorry for the poor wronged dears – they have it so hard, what with all the pap-posing and famewhoring and dine-and-dashing…

  2. Steph says:

Oooo girl…have you seen yourself on your own show? “I was raised better than that”, from what the press has been covering for years on your family based on that show, I do not think so. Kendall is so detached from how everyday people function in the real world.

    • Michelle says:

Exactly. If she was truly raised better she would have sent a letter of APOLOGY not a C&E from her mother’s high power attorney. This makes Kendall look much, much worse if that is even possible.

  3. Palermo says:

When aren’t they suing some poor unfortunate

  4. HappyMom says:

Yes, because threatening and trying to intimidate people with “less power” demonstrates the respectful way you were taught to act.

    • Ag says:

      yeah, seriously.

i totally believe this story about this girl throwing money in someone’s face. they come off like entitled brats.

    • Abbott says:

Exactly. She looks like an even bigger a$$hole.

      • gefeylich says:

Yep. I didn’t think anyone could top Heigl attempting to sue Duane Reade because they tweeted that photo of her coming out of one of their stores carrying one of their bags – but apparently I was wrong. And is anyone surprised that it’s one of the Kartrashians doing the topping?

    • Brin says:

She better be careful, look how well the C&D route worked for Laxann Rimes.

      • rlh says:

@Brin: that was my first response too. What do the K&J klan have in common with the brat Rimes? A childhood of entitlement and privilege with no emphasis on education. How dare anyone disrupt the fantasy in their heads of how special they are. Yuck!

    • Jenny12 says:

Forgot to pay, what a joke. She’s getting called out and she doesn’t like it and there’s not a lot she can do about it. I’d bet money that not only did it happen, Kris Jenner taught her the ropes. NYC waitresses have enough going on with trying to make ends meet in an expensive city and holding onto jobs where it’s viciously competitive, so Kendall’s minor secondhand fame is not going to impress or scare anyone.

      • Dawn says:

        This.

      • ol cranky says:

how the hell is it that she seems to take most offense at the comment she threw the money at the waitress? Does she not realize the big bad part of the story is that she did a dine & dash? Jenner’s attorney even confirmed it is true that Jenner left the restaurant without paying and the whole theft of services is a bigger deal than her shitty KarDASHian comportment when she was busted for it.

      • springingforward says:

        @ ol cranky. Right on.
She apparently was taught to act entitled. A dine and dash on a struggling, hardworking waitress is the real story here.

    • Tiffany :) says:

Exactly. Not to mention, she DID walk out on her bill, so even if the waitress was a bit dramatic in her retelling, it was still fairly accurate by Kendall’s admission.

The lawyer threat is a tacky move and it is a pointless waste of money. I am not a lawyer, but it is my understanding that you can’t sue for defamation in this way. I think they would have to prove an intent to do financial harm. It also must be able to be proven false. Since Kendall admits she did walk out on the tab, it seems she has an uphill battle there.

LOL…I just did a bit of internet research and a wiki-how page wrote, “If you already had a bad reputation, it will be hard to prove that you were defamed by this particular statement”.

      • Bridget says:

I would imagine that the issue isn’t whether a court would ever find in Kendall’s favor of she took real legal action, rather than how expensive it would be for a regular waitress toeven pay a lawyer to fight a bogus lawsuit like that.

      • Tiffany :) says:

        Good point, Bridget!

    • Christin says:

The two youngest girls are likely going to end up being the most entitled jerks of all the spawn, which is really saying something. I think this one may take the overall crown.

    • Nila says:

I imagine the point in doing this is to demonstrate she’s not a diva, which could hurt her modeling career

  5. Franny Days says:

Because that letter makes you sounds so much better, Kendall. What a brat.

    • StormsMama says:

Honestly my first thought is “this beeyotch”
My second thought is she wants to control the narrative and is so used to controlling it she’s shocked to see the ugly truth.

  6. JudyK says:

Yeah, read somewhere this morning she was going to sue.

Poor little, spoiled, entitled Kendall thinks she needs to sue some “actually poor” waitress who works for tips. Besides no brain, she has no soul or empathy or concern for anyone but herself. For someone who didn’t even graduate from highschool, she’s certainly high and mighty.

And ditto to what Tracy said.

  7. QQ says:

Just for that I believe it happened exactly as the waitress described, cause these people (and famous types in general) don’t even bother with their lessers unless there is something to it

    • Eve says:

Exactly. Celebrities, especially the Kardashian/Jenner clan only sue when there is truth to the allegations.

It seems that Kendal has changed for the worst after she fully adopted the annoying Kardashian attributes as soon as she started getting solo publicity for her ‘modeling work’, it is obvious from the recent KUWTK episodes.

  8. lucy says:

I’m issuing a cease and desist on this person’s modeling career.

    • dagdag says:

She does not have a modeling career.

      • lucy says:

Let’s hope it ceases with the 2 runway shows and the TeenVogue cover.
Enough is enough. I think all the favors have been called in and there is no modeling ground to stand on.

  9. K says:

She’s such a rude, little sh!t and 100% she did throw that money in the woman’s face. And don’t even get me started on that condescending lawyer! I HATE people who dine and (try to) dash. As a former waitress it makes me want to wring someone’s neck when I hear stories about it. That’s MY hard earned money you just had for lunch! Ugh.

    • BooBooLaRue says:

      yup a smug little b*tch

      • lucy says:

        Smug is fug.

In all the years we have been subjected to this vile family of smug narcissistic delusional grifters, they have demonstrated nothing admirable, nothing inspiring, and no integrity. Their media presence is merely evidence of hired self-serving strategic public relations, and of our society’s willingness to fawn over mediocrity and unspectacular spectacle.

      • dj says:

@ Lucy. You are my hero for writing such an accurate and erudite response. It is sad that anyone tries to dine and dash. I have worked as a waitress and it is such hard work. I would not be surprised that the veiled threat contained in the letter “as an actress…” might prevent this young woman from being black balled in her future work. All over this little girl being too smug to pay her bill! Disgusting.

  10. Sayrah says:

I know I always inadvertently forget to pay my bill.

    • Lucinda says:

The fact that they address details of the incident tells me the waitress was telling the truth.

    • MaiGirl says:

Exactly! Never once have I or anyone I dined with forgotten to pay a bill. She would have been better off copping to the story, because she just Streisand-ed it, for sure!

      • Size Does Matter says:

I’m pretty sure I’ve never forgotten to pay a tab, either. Can you explain what “Streisand-ing” is? I’ve seen it mentioned here once or twice but I’m not familiar with Babs used as a verb.

      • Tiffany :) says:

“Streisand-ing” is when a person sues about something, and ends up bringing more attention to the thing they wanted to bury.

It is usually called the Streisand Effect

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streisand_effect

  11. Lucinda says:

I would ignore the letter if I was the waitress. You send a cease and desist letter when you don’t have a legal leg to stand on because if you did, you would actually do something. This is a bullying tactic and just makes Jenner look even worse. If I were the waitress and really wanted to be pissy, I would tweet that I was sent a cease and desist letter. It’s completely true and not a damn thing Jenner can do about it.

    • Deb says:

+1 I am sure there were plenty of people at the restaurant (both employees and customers) who could easily back up the waitress’s story, so she shouldn’t be intimidated. The whole Kardashian/Jenner klan are idiots with zero credibility.

      • StormsMama says:

Yeah but you guys are forgetting the waitress should’ve just been grateful to serve her. Duh.
        (Eyeroll)
You know that’s Jenners thought process- she’s so entitled she “forgot” to pay bc this girl is spoiled rotten. And she’s outraged! Outraged! She’s being called out on it instead of coddled. Like, way harsh you guys 😉

    • rlh says:

Ilana Angel has received allot of C&D letters from Leann Rimes for writing stuff about her and has never once been sued. Just recently Ms. Angel wrote that she has enough of them to wall paper her bathroom. And she is still writing what she wants because it’s her opinion that Leann and Eddie are foul. If I was that waitress I would put the C&D from Kendall on the internet for everyone to see because you are correct that it is a bullying tactic.
And speaking as an adult who has had to work for a living since I was 17, I have never, not once in my whole life “forgotten” to pay a bill at a restaurant. What a brat.

  12. InvaderTak says:

The lawyer sounds like a patronizing twit too. That statement was out of line with it’s references to her personal life and credits.

  13. Hope says:

What a joke. Does anyone have a hard time imagining this went down? I don’t see her being the type of person to politely hand over money after being confronted when she and a friend pulled a dine-and-dash. The Kardashians are all about the freebies. Also, wasn’t there a story about another sister pitching a fit over having to pay a restaurant bill not long ago? And how does one “forget” to pay a bill? I’ve never once forgotten, I can’t imagine how anyone would unless it was their first time in a restaurant. This level of presumption is beyond me.

    • dagdag says:

It happened to me and I eat in restaurants a lot. However, Jenner’s tip was stingy especially considering the waiter`s inconvenience.

      • Dawn says:

Wasn’t the issue that these underage kids wanted to order booze and was told NO and that is when they got into a snit and walked out? I mean I heard she threw out the “do you know who I am” snot as well. And it was reported the bill was sixty and she threw out forty. I tend to believe the waitress and the witnesses over one of Kris Jenner’s prized girls. And yes Kendall we know exactly how you were raised and it is better for you NOT to go there.

  14. Sarah says:

Marty Singer costs way more than dinner and a decent tip.
Also, if you make your server chase you down the street, tack on a few extra dollars for her trouble .

    • Michelle says:

Exactly. That letter probably cost Kris $500.

      • Kate says:

That letter cost way more than $500 even though it took maybe an hour to create. Marty Singer is the king of the saber-rattling cease and desist on behalf of celebrity clients. You name the celeb, he’s sent some type of crappy cease and desist and threatened libel on their behalf.

    • Macey says:

Isn’t Marty Singer Leakann’s lawyer too?

  15. Jmo says:

So she walked out on the bill…doesn’t deny that. Little s**t didn’t like getting caught. I totally bet she threw the money at her, like how dare she be embarrassed by the help.

This dining and dashing is like the new shoplifting. Celebs seem to enjoy trying to get out of paying their way. This little gem should be a nice reminder to bring up whenever this Jenner continues to cause trouble, this kind of behaviour is just tip of the iceberg stuff!

    • Denise says:

About a decade or so ago my best friend’s manicurist, who also worked at a restaurant in Toronto in the evenings, had the displeasure of serving Diddy or whatever his name is and his giant posse, there were 20 or so. They ordered tons of food, lots of expensive champagne of course, and then they just walked out. The bill was over two grand. And her boss told her she was on the hook for it even though they left before they were even presented with the bill. So she told him to stuff it and walked out. That entitled a-hole cost her her job. Even if someone thinks that their being there will somehow help a restaurant’s reputation and even if there was some kind of agreement they wouldn’t be charged, how with all of your money can you refuse to tip the person who served you? I know the answer to that but I still have to ask. Not paying at all is so utterly repugnant.

  16. Sam H x says:

Yes, acting like a bully and threatening to sue someone is very respectful behaviour! Hmmm. *rolls eyes* someone wants to maintain the illusion of a nice girl.

  17. Jaana says:

I believe this story, just like I believe she was rude to the maid at Jada and Will Smith’s house. She is a brat and I cant wait for this family to crash and burn.

  18. blue marie says:

Of all the stories to click and read before waiting for an appointment. Not sure what it says about me, but it can’t be anything good. I believe the waitress, no way would someone go to this much trouble if it weren’t true. Plus, I think Kendall and really all Kardashian, Kardashian-Jenner’s feel a sense of entitlement. The waitress preformed a service, and shouldn’t have to run down a customer to be paid for it. That’s extremely rude, and a lot of times (depending on the restaurant) if a customer leaves without paying the waitress has to pay. I would have done the same thing the waitress did, tweet and all.

Kendall looks like she’s doing the “pee dance” in the last photo, and why do I feel like I’m looking at curtains?

  19. Side-Eye says:

Personally I don’t see how this one was targeted as the beauty of the group–everything about her generic look bores me to tears. I’ve seen girls like this maybe a hundred times before.

    • Adrien says:

Kim is the beauty until she messed up her face with unnecessary procedures. The first time I saw her with Paris Hilton, I thought she was the bomb. Kendall is really pretty but I agree, she’s generic looking. She’s like Jill Hennessy and Nicole of Pussycatdolls minus the hot.

      • Jenny12 says:

Kim was gorgeous until she started with the surgeries and fillers, but only Kim. I don’t know why this family is still a thing.

      • Tracy says:

I agree that Kim was very striking before she messed with her face.

      • Candy Love says:

I agree about Kendall as for Kim was just pretty and look 1000 time better the the one she has now.

What really striking was how genuinely happy she looked in those days. Someone post a link of the two of them together not to long ago and wow she look so full of life and now she looks like a soul less doll walking a round.

      • Denise says:

I think she’s very pretty (though getting ugly the more stories I hear) but she disappears on the runway, and her editorial is always a yawn. Goes to show how ‘pretty girl’ is very different from having that special quality that makes one stand out.

  20. Allie says:

First off, how do you forget to pay a bill? Secondly, for someone who is trying to convince the public they were ‘raised better’, perhaps you should have stopped at the defending tweet. Because this letter is so condescending, it makes my blood boil.

  21. jwoolman says:

Kendall didn’t actually deny it. A denial would be “I didn’t do that.” Instead, she uses the subjunctive “I would never…” and then goes on to claim that she was raised better than that. This is a common construction native English speakers use when wanting to give the appearance of denial without actually lying. It seems to be almost instinctual rather than conscious. I’ve seen Lindsay Lohan use the same pattern, for example when she was caught shoplifting a necklace. She used the subjunctive “I would never” followed by something about how she was raised.

If you listen for it, you’ll notice other situations when this curious subjunctive is used as not really a denial. A police consultant said he heard this many times from parents of missing children who turned out to be involved in the disappearance. The innocent parents typically used the direct denial “No, I didn’t do…” when questioned. Be wary whenever someone starts with “I would never….” rather than a direct denial. It’s often followed by some statement meant to validate the “I would never” such as “I wasn’t raised that way” or whatever fits.

So I strongly suspect the original story was true and Kendall is simply bullying the woman into a retraction. Offering her a bundle of money might work better, at least it would on me. People tend to get angry when you sic your lawyer on them for some reason.

    • Cheryl says:

      Interesting analysis.

    • Christin says:

I hope the waitress holds her ground. The letter admits that the party did not pay the bill. As for what occurred on the street, the waitress may be outnumbered witness-wise, but any nearby surveillance cameras might show what really happened.

      • Thinker says:

        Please!!!!

Someone get that CCTV footage and release it. Then this hardworking waitress can sue this half-wit Kendall and her scummy attorney for slander and defamation.

We ALL know this happened just as the waitress said.

  22. Lydia says:

No one raised by Kris Jenner is going to be humble or normal. Of course Kendall is a mega bitch.

  23. Jenny12 says:

Although you are working on a reality show, you are a struggling model with little interest in you beyond your being the sister of a woman that starred in a porn video and the sister in law of Kanye…..

    • lucy says:

Certainly being the teenage sister of an amateur porn tape pseudo-celebrity does not warrant smugness.

  24. kri says:

Another tacky, empty girl brought to you by the womb of doom. Thanks, Kris and Satan.

  25. Cheryl says:

I’m totally offended by the language from the lawyer, “You no doubt concocted a fictionalized account…” This would make me see red if it were directed at me. Ug.

  26. The Original Mia says:

What exactly is the C&D going to do after the fact? The story is out there. The waitress doesn’t have any control over it anymore. All Kendall has accomplished with her bratty, condescending letter is to verify the waitress’ allegations. Brat!

    • Booklion says:

Agree! When i first read the story about Kendall throwing money in a waitress’ face I figured she had probably done something mean or bratty to her, but I did not really believe the allegations. I assumed she must have made a ondescending comment and the waitress blew the situation out of proportion (as many people seem to do to celebrities). But this C&D only makes me believe the waitress had the true account of what happened, and only makes Kendall look worse.

  27. Amy says:

Team Waitress. I hope *she* lawyers up. (The retraction train is leaving the station….)

  28. skeptical says:

Team Waitress. her name was mentioned. Time to all show our support on social media for poor Blaine Morris! think we can get #teamblaine or something like that to trend?

  29. eliza says:

She is like a cat in the litter box, desperate to try and cover her crap up.

  30. mia girl says:

I’ve had some really delicious black truffle pizza and tuna with sticky rice at
    Mercer Kitchen… yum.

  31. Lucy2 says:

C&D what? She posted 1 tweet and deleted it. It’s not like she’s harassing them or ranting 24/7 about it. People have said far worse about that family and they’ve done nothing. Plus they aren’t denying she dined and dashed! That family is scummy.

  32. Mela says:

This just cements that these Jenner girls are going to be even more annoying and entitled than the original Kardashian girls. I never thought that would be possible, but it is.

Kendall is turning into Kim 2.0, AKA Kris Jenner’s new favorite cash cow.

  33. FLORC says:

Again in the minority here, but the title and the actual story really leads the reader into a false impression.
If someone is spreading a story of a less than good image she’s within her right to get her to stop. Especially if their image is there bread and butter.

I think too many people love to hate anything that came from Kris’s womb so it’s blindly accepted the spawn can do nothing right.

This waitress might be making a large amount of this up, but if it’s ever proven she did it’s not getting addressed by anyone here. People love to hate those whoaren’t asking for handouts and aren’t in your face. You have to click the article to read about these people.
Hypocrites? No, just people who really love to read about this family and then tell everyone they hate reading about this family.

    • skeptical says:

the lawyer’s accusations to the waitress are what gives this story more weight. his outright insult “no doubt you concocted a fictionalized account … to raise your public profile”. The C&D letter is like a written ” you are a nobody trying to make your name off a somebody” The lawyer also admits that Kendall walked out without paying and that Blaine had to chase her down.
THE LAWYER ADMITS THE DINE-AND-DASH HAPPENED.
It feels true because of how underhanded it is. this is the same family that had Kim refuse to return her weddings gifts from wedding #2 and instead “donate” them to the “church” that PMK owns.
This dine-and-dash then sue the waitress is perfectly consistent with what the kardashian/jenner clan has already shown us about their behavior.
We’ve also seen that such behavior doesn’t actually hurt PMK’s bottom line, so there really is no need to harass the waitress like this.

    • Tiffany :) says:

Did you just write that the Kardashians aren’t in your face? Lol, not sure I agree with that.

But the fact is, Kendall admits she walked out on the bill and had to be caught on the street to pay it. The waitress does have some credibility, because Kendall’s lawyer just confirmed that she was telling the truth in at least the major details.

    • Marianne says:

Then why not just shrug it off and say it never happened. Its not like anyone would really care. If anything she’s bringing more attention to the whole situation.

  34. Jess says:

It’s possible to forget or to think that your party has paid the bill, especially if you’re with a friend/friends, really bubbly-chatty-good-mood. It’s also unsurprising that Kendall is aggressively countering this. That doesn’t speak to her guilt. Reputation is important especially if you’re famous; it should be defended swiftly and aggressively.

    • Steph says:

What reputation? Everyone knows that the Kartrashians are low life grifters and bottom feeders. I get irritated at all of their coverage on major network and cable shows. I hope the waitress has a pro bono lawyer who will return the volley and counter sue.

  35. anne says:

People who were raised better than that were raised to:
    -turn the other cheek
    -rise above it
-allow your actions speak for you
    …and the list goes on.

We were not raised to sue for every little slight. I hope this waitress doesn’t cave to their bullying tactics, let her sue. Would love to see the transcript of Miss K being deposed!

  36. Lola says:

I just can’t count all the times that I have inadvertently forgot to pay the check at a restaurant … I am soooooo glad, I am not the only one that happens to!!!!! And my lawyer ALWAYS accepts my forgetfulness when Twitter is involved !!!!

  37. JudyK says:

Oh, by the way, Kendall (and people like you), I’m not poor, but I’m far from rich.

Yesterday, I ate at a local Mexican restaurant for the first time. My bill was $26.00 (and some odd cents). I left a $10.00 tip, because, although the food was not fantastic, the service was, and the waitress was pleasantly surprised and grateful. It probably made me feel as good as it did her.

    • rlh says:

      @JudyK: Indeed!
I am working class and I ALWAYS tip 25% or more. When you have worked for your livelihood you know when others are doing the same. I have never in my life not paid a bill or not left a tip. Not once.

  38. Lauren says:

I wish the waitress’ ‘public apology’ would read something like, “dear Kendall Jenner, I would like to publicly state that I am sorry. I am sorry I had to chase after you into the street when you forgot to pay your bill. And I’m sorry you chose not to hand me your payment like a human being. Love, waitress”

    • Steph says:

      Ha ha..that would be great.

      • springingforward says:

How about, “I am sorry I had to chase after you into the street WHEN YOU EXITED THE RESTAURANT WITHOUT PAYING YOUR BILL”. I don’t think she forgot at all, do you? But at the same time, this keeps it factual.

  39. word says:

How can you forget to pay your bill. Is it because they usually get things for free that they forget to pay when the cameras are not around.

  40. Purple Unicorn says:

    How dramatic…

  41. Elan says:

I thought maybe this was a waitress who blew things a bit out of proportion due to a celebrity being involved but the C&D letter now makes me think the story was true, I mean why else come with personal attacks: “Although you are working as a waitress…I understand that you are also a struggling actress whose credits include a handful of television appearances,”
“You no doubt concocted a fictionalized account of your encounter with my client in order to create publicity for yourself and raise your own public profile.”

Those sentences are just so unnecessary and down right rude/insulting.

  42. boredbrit says:

Haha the lawyer is saying the waitress is attempting to glean some tenuous claim to fame when that’s exactly what the Kartrashian clan has done. They were probably too dumb to see the irony in that letter.

  43. ickythump says:

They obviously think because of “who they are” the restaurant should be falling over themselves to give them free meals – and I thought the kardashian/jenners were raised by wolves the “She-wolf/Jackal” PMK

  44. Lizzy1013 says:

Kendall Jenner can’t even spell inadvertently. As a bartender I hate it when spoiled little rich kids walk in and try to order a drink without presenting ID. This happens all the time! Their parents always try to convince me to give them a cocktail. I ask them if they are also going to bail me out of jail when I get arrested and fined for serving minors. Plus it feels good to say HELL NO to people not really used to hearing the word.

  45. Jaquebelle says:

As much as I completely detest anything Kardashian, am curious as to the extent associated with defending one’s reputation online, where folks can post pretty much anything and be given credibility that may or may not be warranted. Keep in mind that as a former waitress, I have encountered my share of horrible treatment from so called celebrities and am completely sympathetic towards the waitress, but I also think that Kendall Jenner has a right to defend herself. This is not the first time Kendall Jenner has been accused of behaving badly towards the help and time will eventually convict her, but I also think this will set a trend of more and more celebrities responding in this manner to maintain their reputations. Under the best of circumstances folks will misinterpret an encounter, so perhaps Kendall Jenner would be better served by making more of an effort to treat people decently. Wishing the waitress in this story well and hoping all things Kardashian will cease and desist lol. One love.

    • Macey says:

omg..can you share any stories about these so called celebrities?

      • rlh says:

@Macey: OMG!!! I have a few celebrity stories.
A friend of mine is a valet in the Hamptons at various clubs and restaurants. He works the weekends in the summer to get a little extra money. In the peak party season he does pretty good. So one of my favorite stories is about Paris Hilton.
She showed up one night with a group of people, in other words, not in her limo. She went into the club then came out later and told the valet’s she was hungry and asked would they go get her a burger from the local McDonald’s. All of the valet’s working that night, including my friend, would have been happy to run that errand for her. The kicker: Paris didn’t have ANY CASH!!!! She wanted the valet’s to pay for her food!!!!!! I swear on my honor this story is true. Oh, and where do the Kardashian/Jenner’s come from? The same entitled neighborhood as Paris.
A good story: my friend has met Howard Stern a number of times. I was never a fan until my friends’ stories about Mr. Stern. He always tips really big and usually at some point in the evening Mr. Stern will come out and just hang with the valet’s chit chatting and asking them about their lives…like a normal human being.
My friend also said that Christy Brinkley is the most beautiful woman he has ever laid eyes on. She was not overly friendly but polite and tipped well.

      • Jaquebelle says:

My mother once owned a restaurant above a pretty popular nightclub in the 80’s and I waited on many celebrities in town performing concerts and especially local and a few national sports stars. The manager of the nightclub would always send people our way for business. I waited on Prince, Tracy Chapman, Gladys Knight, and a few others. The Cosby Show was number one at the time and I was thrilled to have my picture taken with Malcolm Jamal Warner, who was such a good sport for wearing our restaurant logo cap and gallantly kissed my hand afterward. I still have this picture lol. Athletes were primarily the worst and I remember Ickey Woods would leave his tip at the bottom of the glass on a very regular basis. We once catered a private party for Boomer Esiason’s female friend who requested a cake in the shape of a penis lol. At the time he was huge and we were aggressively fighting a pesky leak. The ceiling was leaking a bit, but they were pretty wasted lol. One love.

  46. Jana says:

She was raised better than that??? Honey, you would have been better off being raised by wolves, rather than those two idiots you call parents.

  47. xoxokaligrl says:

    How petty…

  48. jwoolman says:

She’s also using the popular Lohan Defense: the victim of her bad behavior is just looking for publicity when he or she has the audacity to complain about it. Seems to work for fans. For other people, not so much.

  49. Jarredsgirl says:

That last bit… “you are an actress so you must have made this all up” could also apply to Jenner, no? She’s a reality TV “actress” of sorts. I don’t believe Jenner for a second. I never used to mind her, but I really, really don’t like Jenner. She’s getting quite the reputation for being rude and disrespectful – remember the Jada Pinkett Smith story that she denied?

  50. Jarredsgirl says:

Not only that – but the lawyer writes ” the waitress followed you outside but there was no scene” – then why did the waitress follow her outside???? She just followed her and stood there?

That letter is extremely poorly written.

  51. emm says:

You weren’t raised, you were dragged.

  52. Abby says:

She looks more and more like her mother and it’s not a good look for her. She does fresh-faced MUCH better.
