These are photos of Rita Ora dressed like a Hershey’s kiss at the launch of the new DKNY fragrance in New York on Tuesday. I assume she’s wearing a wig.
The battle between Rita and her ex-boyfriend, Calvin Harris, rages forth. He famously removed half the songs from her upcoming album and axed her performance at the TCAs. Some of you disagreed, but I found the situation very “over the top” on Calvin’s behalf. I’m no fan of Rita’s music but don’t see what Calvin could gain by blocking Rita from singing at a teen awards show.
The feud continued with Calvin vague tweeting and whining about his “damn good reason” for dwelling upon Rita enough to hold her back. She was raving about Bieber and throwing it in Calvin’s face. What a mess. Even if the rumors are true that Rita cheated on Calvin, I don’t see why he’s wasting so much energy on his past. Because it’s obvious that Calvin and Rita will never, ever, ever get back together again.
Thanks to Calvin’s bitter ways, Rita’s new album has been postponed from September until next January. Journos still want to know the dirt on why Calvin is so angry. One interviewer asked Rita what happened: “There’s been a lot of rumors about Calvin Harris not releasing some of your stuff.” Here’s a clip of what went down, but you don’t have to watch. All Rita said is this: “Thank you. Bye bye.” Then she walked away.
Is this rude? Rita quickly shut down the interview, which is a huge change from when she was blabbing all over the place last week. I wonder if she and Calvin reached a truce. Maybe he let her have a song or two if she shushed.

I bet both ladies are happy with who they are. I don’t think they resemble each other at all, regardless of the awkward wig that looks like Sia’s haircut. BUT, let me tell you, Sia is a genuine, incredibly beautiful artist that is actually talented and not selling records based on her relationship-drama or looks. She is a great singer/songwriter and for those who only know her from her last stuff (that is not so much my taste) you should check her first albums and collaborations with Zero7. That to tell that comparing Rita to Sia is like comparing McDonald’s to French cuisine.
At least Sia is on the radio.

I was fairly neutral on Rita Ora (even rooted for her because of RobK), but Lord–I bet Calvin’s wishing he never messed around with this chick.
And yeah–I’m lost with the whole pulling the songs from her album. Why wouldn’t her team have the songs legally licensed, especially before she was supposed to be performing them. Why would she go and perform a song that she legally could not perform?

Rob was never a saint. He cheated on all his girlfriends, so he has no room to be hurt over someone cheating on him. You get what you give in life.

Seriously, it’s such an obvious attention grab. If she had just said something like: “Well, we’re working that out now and I hope we can resolve this situation quickly and amicably,” — that would not have been news. Her being massively immature and walking out on an interview causes a (slight) stir, which is what she’s after.
What drives me insane about Rita Ora is that I’ve always said she’s a OHW, the most forgettable and artificial singer that has ever existed. I can’t even name 2 songs by her. And yet I STILL SEE HER NAME POPPING UP. If all Rita will be known for are her bed affairs, give her a damn reality show and call it a day.
Is she really that big in the UK? I just find her so artificial, fake, boring, and unoriginal. She’s a budget everyone-else-in-music-right-now.
She actually has a nice, unique voice. Better than most x-factor alumni or girl group wannabes. She’s about as big as Cher Lloyd. Her problem is she’s not likable like Adele nor controversial enough like Lana Del Rey or Iggy. She hardly makes a splash. She’ll be the next Jessie J.

That is the only thing i can focus on: The terribleness of all the broken bonds on the hairs of her hair and that wig looking sparse and askew situation/look she’s got going on ..it’s extremely distracting
How long will she be milking this story? Nobody cares about Calvin outside the music/dj world. He’s not a hot tabloid figure. Should have stuck with Robbie K. In the meantime, she can ride Iggy Azalea’s coattails until her album comes out.
Wow. The wounds are certainly still fresh with these two. In my opinion, they’ve both been acting pretty catty and immature lately. And I say that as fan of both.
Maybe she doesn’t want to talk about it anymore because people weren’t automatically taking her side? And Calvin does have a lot of “power” in the industry when it comes to producers so maybe people didn’t want to work with her?

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: ultimately this is Rita and her team’s responsibility and their fault. Recording artists don’t just get to perform and release songs that they don’t have the right to, and they should have had that locked down in a timely manner. She cango out and do as many interviews as she wants, and it doesn’t change the fact that she and her people really messed up.
@Bedhead Re you comment that Calvin would gain more from giving her his songs.. Calvin made 66 million dollars last year alone. He doesn’t need the money and i am guessing he doesnt need the trouble of having to work with an ex.

I’m proud to say that I don’t know not even one song from her. I’m kind of tired of this “Lady Gaga’s dress up trend” at least Gaga had 1 or 2 albums ok/meh for Gym music lol.
It would be almost impossible for a dress to be more unflattering to her figure.
