Yes but will Beiber be in the next Pirates movie? He could play a swash-buckling douchebag. He and Orly could act out thier wimpy “fight” while Miranda humps on Johnny.

  2. Meme says:

    Poor Orly…now he’s a hasbeen

  3. GardenGal says:

What happened to his looks? He looks so different!

  4. Jaderu says:

Mariska Hargitay has an Instagram! I should not be this excited right?!?!

  5. Sara says:

It’s sad that this movie series is allowed to keep going.

  6. eo says:

After seeing Michael Sheen on The Late Late show I totally get it. Smart and funny is sexy.

    • Jaded says:

Totally agree – that gets me way more than a pretty face and perfect bod.

    • InVain says:

Ditto on the personality trumps looks, but I couldn’t help laughing (out loud) at the Adam Duritz reference and photos…. I mean, it’s sort of true.

      • Jay says:

Adam Duritz is so attractive to me. Not good looking, but attractive. He’s a ridiculously talented musician, poet, and an all around nice guy. I always say everyone has at least one “irrational crush” who no one else understands… he’s totally mine.

    • Paul says:

No they should have stopped at three! Four was crap!

  7. NewGirl says:

I liked the first 2 pirate films. I saw the 3rd and did not really care for it. Never saw the 4th.

    • Mel M says:

I didn’t even know there was a fourth! Poor Orly is right, I used to crush on him so bad. It’s true though, I had no idea who Miranda was before she got with him.

    • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

I must be the only one who LOVES all four movies. Was the fourth one necessary? NO. But I will go and see all of them.

I remember when the first one came out, because my older sister got it for Christmas. It very, very quickly became MY movie (seriously, she still rolls her eyes at me every time I mention it).

      • pirategirl says:

I’m with you Virgilia Coriolanus, I love all 4 movies, and glad they are making more. Pirates are not everyone’s cup of tea, and those that dislike them can go watch something else πŸ™‚ The more pirate movies the merrier! I do hope Orlando returns back to his character.

  8. lunchcoma says:

I love that the link stated exactly the thought that popped into my mind: “Of course he is.”

I’d say he should get a hit movie under his belt, then talk to someone about writing a solid TV role for him that plays to his strengths (he’s not that great of an actor, but he’s good in certain roles) but that’s visibly different from his Pirates and LotR roles. Nothing like being in people’s homes every week for a few months for them to change their image of you.

  9. Mari says:

Is it me or is he literally turning into an Elf? Pointy ears, pointy nose, squinty eyes…

  10. mimif says:

Can a person turn into an elf? Like, if I wanted to, could I turn into King Kong? Because I have a huuuuge nuclear lizard that I’ve been trying to deal with. Anyway, just asking.

  11. Blythe says:

These days, isn’t Orlando Bloom open to any new projects? It’s sad to see him at this state of his career when he used to be doing big blockbuster features.

    • lunchcoma says:

I’m quite sure he is open to new projects. He’s just not getting cast in them, or at least not in anything that he considers to be at his level. If you think about actors in their late 30s who mostly do dramatic roles and have predominantly female fanbases, you end up with a pretty long list. A lot of the guys on it come with shiny new media buzz, or a better track record with non-franchise movies, or more acclaim and awards for their performances.

I think he’s capable of getting things back on track and I’m sure he wants to, but this sort of thing is hard.

  12. Irishae says:

Well I am certainly relieved. Pirates of the Carribean 5: Johnny Needs a New Island (working title) wouldn’t be the same without him.

  13. khymera says:

Poor basterd . Is this what it’s come too.

  14. Lurve says:

Orlando has lost his fresh, pretty-boy looks. I think he lacks charisma and presence on screen, which probably explains his career trajectory. Of course he’d do 5, and 6+ if he were offered it; he’s not getting any decent roles whatsoever to speak of.

  15. Anastasia says:

What is that small tiny stick looking thing in his left ear in the large header pic? Anyone else see that?

  16. M says:

It isn’t like he has anything else. He was never a good actor, it was just his looks that he got away with. Oh well, he can always try modeling as his next job.

  17. Mauibound says:

Mmmmm Michael Sheen in Underworld, so sexy. Was the best part of that series other than the total girl crush I still have on Kate Beckensale

  18. Al says:

If you wish to keep your hair that long and shapeless, fine. but it will need to be conditioned and coiffed daily. You cannot just let it airdry and not wash for days. He has good quality hair, but that is not enough to keep it look attractive w/o doing anything.

And no mousse or gel. He needs an aerosol spray to hold it in shape. It looks greasy and messy. His hair looked out-of-this-world good in Three Musketeers. He was the vain and fashion-savvy villain in that. One of his better performances.
