Here are some photos of Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria at Tuesday night’s launch of the new season of Lincoln Center. The concert was La Dolce Vita. I don’t know you guys, does Hilaria look like her plan has gone terribly wrong? I think so. Alec Baldwin looks like he’s about punch his way through Lincoln Center, hollering homophobic slurs the entire way. I also don’t understand what’s happening with his hair? What is that style? Gurl, you need some help!
Meanwhile, no one really wants to hear what Alec Baldwin has to say about anything. He was scheduled to give a talk to the students of the University of Arizona. But the university canceled his appearance because there was barely any interest in Baldwin and no one was buying the $40 tickets. According to The Daily Caller, “A Conversation with Alec Baldwin” was promoted as “spending an evening with one of the most interesting men in America.” LOL. Alec took to Twitter to correct some reporting that HE had canceled the appearance, making sure that everyone knows the university canceled the appearance.
Despite his reputation, Alec is still getting work. He filmed a part in Mission Impossible 5 (OMG) and he recently signed on to a sci-fi film with Danny Glover.

The last few pictures that I have seen of Alec, he is looking really red faced and bloated. Like he is hitting the bottle pretty hard! I can’t stand that fame-ho wife of his. Every single day, there is a picture of her in some stupid yoga pose. EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!!! I would not be surprised, to turn on the news one day, and see Alec has been arrested for spousal abuse. Didn’t Basssinger accuse him of that and it got shoved under the rug. Hilliaria, strikes me as the type that is going to have secret video’s and recordings (like Mel Gibson’s baby mama)…I feel sorry for that baby!

I had to see for myself and took a look at her twitter, ugh she’s obnoxious! He was looking good for a while but in these photos definitely looks bloated and red faced. It seems like he is the type that he’s his own worst enemy, I lost any bit of respect I had for him as an actor hearing how he spoke to his daughter. I think he plays the jack a$$ in movies well probably because it’s so close to his true self.
He is just so, so *Angry*!!! I wonder what happened in his childhood? I think I remember reading about him having to be the “father” figure for his brothers. Sounds like Dad wasn’t so great or not there, but Alec has taken this Angry, Demanding, Father-Figure Head way too far. It’s like he’s acting the part he *thinks* a *strong* father would act. But he’s really just an insanely aggressive bully.
Anyone can yell or hit; it takes a lot of strength and control to CONTROL yourself and not blame others.
And yes, he probably married his current wife b/c she made him feel young, but it doesn’t take long to realize that he is NOT young, despite how young his wife is, and getting older as a Former Sex Symbol must be insanely difficult for an ego his size.
The yoga positions might actually continue to reinforce how lithe and youthful she is, but he’s still old, puffy and bloated. Yikes.
Heh – Tina Fey did a press interview for This is Where I Leave You, and this was one of her comments about the sort of actor she likes to work with:
“Are the people nice? And the last one is important. It’s too arduous a process to deal with someone screaming all the time or sweating off last night’s booze.”
Gee. I wonder to whom she might be referring?
Specifically the NY Phil’s opening (Lincoln Center also has the Met Opera, Jazz at LC and city ballet). Baldwin does the Phil’s radio broadcasts (love those!) and has come up with the ideas for some of the music/film concerts. But yes, he does look like he’s about to go off the rails.

Oh geez, I’d hope not.
At the UofA? As a proud alumna, I’d have to say … yes, she’d probably get a lot of attention if she spoke on that topic. It’s a good school, but we get a fair amount of pretty, blonde, upper middle-class, pre-wed students from SoCal and Utah (not to mention the homegrown variety from Scottsdale).
We seem to have a propensity for this sort of thing. Wayne Brady was supposed to perform at UofA back when I was a student and he was at the top of his game with “Whose Line Is It Anyways?” His performance was canceled when he failed to sell enough tickets, too. Albita (a Cuban singer) came to perform; she sold barely enough for the show to go on, and then the hall was half-empty. The only acts that attract big sales are touring musicals, dance troupes, and opera. I saw Phantom of the Opera while I was there (they sold out several nights and matinees), The Lion King, Twyla Tharp, and Merce Cunningham. I’ve been told some rap and hip-hop acts did well, but I never went to any of those concerts.
I really like this couple! I follow them both on Instagram and they seem really happy and so devoted to their daughter, who is adorable! She seems like such a happy little girl. I also enjoy Hilaria’s daily yoga poses, something a bit different to the usual selfies!
He is not looking good- for a while there he was, I think she was a good influence on his health and fitness for a bit. I wonder if he finally realized that she was the cause of much of their paparazzi problems…
$40 tickets to hear a speaker at a college campus, when most things like that are free for students, and they didn’t sell? Shocking!
I’m no fan of Baldwin, but I think you’re right about their relationship dynamics. I think he thought he had found himself a low-key “regular folk” non-celeb woman who was interested in HIM, and not what he could do for her career and/or fame level. he seemed happy at first and he DID seem to be getting more fit, and he also seemed to have gotten his anger under control.
but…I think he realized that she did want to get famous, and was calling the paps and self-promoting…and the veil has been lifted.
why has hilaria’s plan gone wrong? she married a rich dude, they had a baby, which is what i assume was her plan from all the posts about her.
He and Drew Barrymore are excellent commentators on TCM, on the history and analysis of films, etc.

He’s been one of my biggest disappointments in terms of celebs. I loved him so much on 30 Rock and always thought of him as an intelligent guy with great comedic timing. I didn’t follow the gossip surrounding his divorce so for while there, I was kind of removed from Baldwin-gossip.
I was sad when I finally discovered that he is such a temperamental egomaniac.
Yup. I like him and don’t like him at the same time.
I never realized why I liked the earliest films into the 20’s, because they seem much more modern, and not as restricted as the 30’s and onward, and Alec was explaining that the film codes of decency, I forget what they were called, came into play around then. I think, basically, it ruined cinema for a while. They actually began to time how long kisses could go on, in seconds. And this was where couples began to be seen sharing a room with twin beds, etc.
That’s really interesting and sad at the same time. Also, the MPAA system that replaced it is still so incredibly flawed, so I’m not certain that we’ve made a ton of progress in that regard, although I’m sure we have way more freedom now.
Can you watch that series online or is it cable-only?
..and I still watch 30 Rock on Netflix all the time..one of the few shows that consistently makes me laugh out loud.
@TheOriginalKitten, I don’t know if you can watch it online. It’s one the last remaining reasons why I still have cable. Although there are plenty of sucky movies from the past, I don’t where else I would have been exposed to the silent film era, other than an art house cinema.
He still gets work in Hollywood but does anyone actually go see a movie because he’s in it? Um, no.
I just spent a minute looking at his Twitter feed, and he often retweets Hilaria’s stuff. Man, is she obnoxious. Who is taking these yoga pose photos for her? Alec? Or did he buy her a personal assistant who is in charge or taking them? Also, buzzfeed wrote an article about “Things Hilaria Baldwin Does Better Than You” apparently, and I’m sure that didn’t go to her head at all. Her post on September 11th was also quite obnoxious. I used to like Alec, but after 30 Rock ended I can’t really muster up any good feelings about him anymore. I’m surprised he hasn’t raged about this yet.
i can’t reconcile liking him as much as i do on 30 Rock and the rageoholic that he is in real life.
His bright red nose in these pics is making him look like a something-aholic, that’s for sure. Remember the days when calling someone a “Total Baldwin” was a compliment? These days, not so much.
My heart will always love him as Jack. He gets so many passes from me for that.

The students should have went. It’s actually a bargain when you think about it. Abnormal psychology is like 500 bucks a credit hour. I swear college kids don’t understand budgeting.

I think that $40 fee is rather steep for the average college student. I’m not surprised tickets didn’t sell. He might be an asshole but he’s a very talented actor. That’s why he continues to work in Hollywood and on Broadway. I always enjoy his performances. Outside of his acting, I can’t stand the guy but I will continue to see his films because he always delivers a great performance.

He looks good for his age. He has a red nose from too much summer sun. And unfortunately someone gave him the cut that is the new style for me: shaved along the sides. It doesn’t suit him.
But I agree. He would have been better off with an average-joe wife rather than a fame-Ho. But I guess she has a business to promote. The baby is cute and seems to be an old soul. It will be interesting to see what she does as a grown up.

Having read the comments I don’t suspect there would be much agreement with my point of view, but I actually just feel kind of bad for this guy. He has talent, a long history of pretty decent work in films, he’s obviously quite bright. BUT, he consistently undermines himself, and is his own worst enemy. He appears to have put on a lot of weight in these photos. I remember he had lost some about a year or two ago, but its all back and its not making him look all that good. Even his wife, who has generally struck me as quite pretty, doesn’t look her best by a long shot. Combined with all the negativity surrounding Baldwin over the past year or so, it gives them the appearance of a couple in decline. I hate seeing people that have had a good deal of success wind up burying themselves. This guy is much more than his worst moments. As are most of us.

It looks like he gained back all the weight (and more) that he lost when he first started dating her. I guess she doesn’t really care anymore now that she’s got 18 years of child support locked in.
I’ve heard Alec Baldwin speak before. He is actually quite fascinating and very entertaining.
I had the pleasure of meeting alec baldwin after a performance of orphans on broadway last year. He was so pleasant and talkative to everyone outside the theatre. Gave autographs and chatted for a good 20 minutes . A total professional and his hair is real ,by the way.

last month, ewww. The article inside was annoying as expected. With pictures of her dressed in different outfits (not yoga wear, but dresses, jeans and high heels!)in different poses. She doesn’t even teach at Yoga Vida studio anymore. She sold it, that was in the article. Guess she has Alec money now !
