That Lady Gaga article makes me so angry.

    • two_seconds_ago says:

But she’s wearing a farasha kaftan, which is not at all unusual in UAE. In fact, the article is misleading when it states that it’s an Indian attire which it is not. That kind of dress is not worn anywhere in the Indian sub-continent, but is actually attributed to the Middle East.

      • tifzlan says:

Not that. I’ve been to the Middle East many times because I have family there and i see these kaftans all the time. But still, the article was misleading, i agree. I guess I should have been clearer. It was the hyperlinked article of her in Japan wearing “Japanese fashion” with Korean words.

Lady Gaga in general just makes me really angry tbh

    • jwoolman says:

The attire she’s wearing in the UAE is actually more sensible than traditional American attire in that climate. There’s good reason for the style in that kind of heat, keeps you cooler. Are we going to yell “cultural appropriation” now every time someone wears a clothing style developed by someone not genetically related? This isn’t sacred clothing to be worn only at religious ceremonies by specific people.

      • Heather says:

The article about the Korean vs. Japanese characters is so ridiculous. My goodness people overreact about everything.

  2. Luciana says:

Nowadays I might confused her with Olivia Wilde not even Natalie Portman, who she used to bear a resemblence. Anne Hathaway? I don’t see it.

  3. word says:

I have never confused Kiera with Anne…they don’t look or speak or act alike.

  4. lol says:

    How dare they?

  5. Pants says:

They better not put Biel on True Detective, that’s a show for people who can actually ACT.

    • Jaderu says:

Well they were thinking about Taylor Kitsch too sooooooo. I think they’re just throwing darts at a copy of US magazine at this point.

      • lunchcoma says:

Given the casting speculation, I’m wondering if the second season will be any good at all. It seems like they’re going for gimmicks here rather than trying to tell a good story with great talent.

    • don't kill me i'm french says:

When you know their first idea was Jessica Chastain with Christian Bale ( he refused twice) or Joaquim Phoenix, apparently they have a big problem

  6. Erinn says:

I feel like I’m the only person in the world who doesn’t like guacamole. I also don’t like hummus. I think it might be a texture thing for me.

    • Ag says:

what?! terrible. haha (my husband hates both too, it’s disheartening to say the least.)

      • Erinn says:

I’m hoping they’re the kinds of foods that if I just eat a little bit here and there, I’ll like them more. I might make some hummus, because I’m pretty sure my husband has had it and raved about it. So if I hate it, he’ll just be responsible for eating it haha.

      • G. says:

I hate guacamole, but I love hummus. I don’t know what’s up with that. But I’m with you on guacamole.

    • ol cranky says:

nope, I can’t acquire a taste for guac either (also can’t stand sour cream or yogurt)

    • Ash says:

I’m not big in guacamole either.

    • Anath Pariah says:

      Samesies!

    • Adrien says:

I favor hummus over refried beans. I’m ok w guac but I will not bother seeking out avocados in other stores if they’re not available in our local grocery. It isn’t a must-buy for me.

  7. Pluto says:

It’s Keira. The headline reads Kiera. She gets no respect.

  8. Dani says:

I sooo agree about Seb Stan needing a new agent. Also agree with Clive Owen on that list. If you say you don’t love Clive, you’re a liar.

    • Milena says:

+1 to both parts of your comment! Seb Stan is still picking up roles like he’s a Gossip Girl TV-only actor… he’s always the best part of terrible movies. Dude deserves better. Actually scratch that, WE deserve better. I’m not about to watch half of his terrible resume just because he’s hot.

  9. Artimis says:

“Jessica Biel is being considered for a True Detective lead?” NO. NO. PLEASE NO. No. **falls over sobbing**

    • maddelina says:

      Lol

    • Kimberly says:

Ha ha you had me laughing with this one.
But I think there’s at least a dozen known and unknown actress that would be better choices.

She finally got considered for a role again, even though she was one of those delusional stars complaining that she was being rejected for being too pretty.

  10. lisa says:

that is VERY flattering to ms hathaway

if i were keira i wouldnt love that

  11. Lydia says:

If True Detective had stayed in the Miniseries awards category like it was supposed to, it would have done serious damage at the Emmys and would have attracted a higher grade of actors for season 2. But of course it got cocky and tried to take down Breaking Bad (how’d that work out for ya?). Those names mentioned are the dregs, the people who only get called after the first dozen choices say no.

  12. FLORC says:

I get cumby has a following. Although outside of here I fail to see much of it. Probably why people assume he’s Peter Capaldi?

    • Norman Bates' Mother says:

I don’t think people assume he’s Peter Capaldi. More like Matt Smith – they are not looking alike but they have a similar vibe – quirky, pasty British dudes with weird features (some might call it ugly) who somehow attract a major female fanbase. I’m not currently crushing on any of them but there is something really charming about both. Plus both Sherlock and Doctor Who are Moffat’s shows and are often discussed together, even though the plots are completely different and that’s why people who don’t watch but heard about them might get confused.

    • ol cranky says:

Peter Capaldi is friggen in everything, I’ pretty much shocked when his name ISN’T in the credits!

I think people say Dr. Who because they know that’s a big “Brit” cult figure and that Cumby’s a British actor with a following for a hit show.

  13. Janet says:

They both have dark hair. Beyond that, they look absolutely nothing alike.

  14. rtms77 says:

The person who gets confused the most with Keria is an irish actress named Katie McGrath. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Katie-McGrath/113986845315337

  15. shix says:

    David Gandy!!! #swoon!!!

  16. deehunny says:

Katie Holmes has really been stepping up her fashion game.

  17. LAK says:

She looks like Natalie Portman. Not Anne Hathaway at all!!!

  18. Sushi says:

Keira, as pretty as she is, depresses me in movies. That jaw and the overacting… Al Pacino’s was the funniest. Jennifer Garner’s was self-serving, while Jake Gyllenhaal’s was witty.

    • Ash says:

She does overact quite often, but I think I prefer that over the people who can’t act or don’t even try.

  19. Excellent post. I certainly love this website. Thanks!

  20. Anath Pariah says:

I don’t see why they’d confuse the two.

Anne Hathaway is a much more versatile actress who has performed in a variety of different kinds of films; when I see Keira Knightley, I instantly think “period piece”. They look nothing alike. They’re both slim, fair-complected brunettes, but that’s where the similarities end as far as I see.

  21. Adrien says:

I was watching S1m0ne the other night and I thought Winona Ryder was Keira Knightley.

    • Annie says:

I’ve heard that one before but I don’t see it – Winona has big wide eyes and Keira has small deep set ones. Look zip alike to me.

  22. Blackbetty says:

I’ve never confused Anne with Keira. I can’t stand Anne Hathaway!!
