It really isn’t that much of a shock because I think he wanted to leave by the end of the year and he isn’t officially resigning until he has an official replacement, which may take forever. Hope his replacement does a better job than John Kerry has in Hilly’s place.
The job just like that of President is a pressure cooker that ages you over night. I hope he stays on for the next year then takes his whole family for a 6 month vacation in the Carribean!
Yeah, he stated I think last year that he was planning on retiring by the end of 2014, so it’s not much of a shock. Still, he was a great civil servant and I’ll miss him.
